We came here on a Sunday for lunch and got seated right away. We got the following items: - sticky rice wrap - shrimp dumpling - shrimp and pork siu mai - steamed BBQ pork buns - fish porridge The portion is actually really big, which really surprised me! However, the majority of the dishes we had were very mediocre. The sticky rice wrap was especially disappointing since the rice wasn't as sticky - not sure if it's because of the type of rice used. Service was really attentive!

Who knew the boiled ribs could be so good?

You'd never guess there's excellent cuisine at this fairly nondescript restaurant. Friendly, unrushed service and excellent dishes...surprisingly so. The Dim Sum comes out when it's ready: Perfect temperature, Perfectly delivered. Casual ambiance but comfortable. Highly recommend and very reasonably priced.

Good dim sum place that serves dim sum at later hours than other local dim sum places If you're craving dim sum late afternoon or early evening, this is a definite option My main complaint with what I ordered is that the sauce is already mixed in with the shrimp rice noodle. I would have preferred if the sauce was on the side, so you can control how much sauce to add to your taste. The sauce is a bit too salty for me so I would have added very little if any at all, but since it was already mixed in, there was nothing I could do about that Otherwise, a solid dim sum spot

First time. I was not disappointed. Very good service and very tasty food. I had the lunch special which included choice of soup. I took the hot and sour which was probably some of the best I've had. I had the orange chicken which came with egg roll little cream, cheese, wonton, and fried rice. Portion was very nice very tasty and very quick service.

The highlight was the service - extremely attentive and sweet! And the dim sum was so good too-- everythinf we got was as good as (if not better than) versions we've had in the past: 1) BBQ pork buns (not pictured) - the softest yet not soggy buns I've ever had 2) turnip cakes - more savory and cris than I've ever had, with a nice surprise of Chinese sausage bits inside 3) fried tofu- perfectly crispy with a nice dipping sauce 4) shanghai soup dumplings- homey taste with a nice chewy wrapper, served atop Napa cabbage 5) shiu mai (not pictured) - hefty size, filled generously with pork and shrimp 6) chow mein - flavorful (will have to try the chow feng next time) 7) sesame balls - perfectly crispy on the outside and steaming on the inside, not too greasy at all! We loved the casual, family-run feel of this place and will return for our dim sum fix in the future!

Wow, what a hidden gem! First time here with my mom, aunt and uncle and we had such great experience! Amazing fresh dimsum and we didn't have to go to Alhambra for it. Exceptional service by Julie. Cant wait to take my whole fam!

We ordered online pickup. Food was ready in about 10 minutes nicely packaged! Even on a holiday the staff showed me my order. Food was tasty. Interestingly some items were more sweet than expected. I guess they are catering to their audience. We ordered pad thai, beef and broccoli, fried rice, and panang curry and they were all good just sweeter than you would usually expect at traditional places. Plenty of parking. Be aware the sign on the door says to order online if you want take out (they provide their website on the door) and they don't do takeout in person. Probably for the best to eliminate errors and they are pretty fast at order fulfillment!

A friend was *craving* coming here so we came for dinner. I love shrimp fried rice and theirs was delicious!!! She had something way more adventurous and loved it. Their spring rolls were really yummy as well. This place in in an open mall area and is probably hard to miss if you don't live in the area, which is kind of a shame. I hope they have nothing but great success. The restaurant was super clean and the service was beyond quick and friendly. I will definitely go back with my friend when I visit her.

Yay!! 1st attempt - SUCCESS! We had Pork siomai, Porridge with century egg, steamed dumplings, chicken feet, Kung Pao chicken (lunch meal), pork bun, steamed "something" - all for only 2- we were hungry, yes. We had to gos afterward. From these orders that we had- I can say that KUNGPAO CHICKEN and pork siomai are the best. Eeeeeverything taste good, but if I will come back here these two will be present on the table again. The place, I can say is a little high-end compared to other Chinese restaurants that serve the same dish- it's decent and good for dates and group. It's clean, the staff is really attentive, restrooms are available, and a lot of parking. So yeah, all in all I recommend! Nice place to visit for Dimsum cravings!

This place is pretty new in Pasadena. It was on my list to try so I decided to try their lunch. It was ok. I ordered the orange chicken with fried rice. The chicken was overcooked and the sauce was just ok. Great service. The atmosphere was clean and modern. Huge menu with a variety of choices. Easy parking in front of the location.

Perfect family dim sum experience for us…read more We took out my parents and in-laws for dim sum: my parents' very first time ever. We did wait about an hour, but honestly I didn't mind at all because it gave us a chance to relax, talk, and catch up as a family. Once we were seated, my parents were immediately impressed with the decor: elegant and cultural without feeling overly modern or cold. And can we talk about the tea kettles? They looked like literal pieces of art being poured at the table. Ordering was super easy with the QR code system, so my husband handled the whole spread: shumai dumplings, chicken feet, sesame balls, and more. Everything came out hot, fresh, and beautifully plated. The ENTIRE table agreed on one thing: the chili oil condiment deserves to be sold in bottles to take home. It was that good. Smoky, just the right amount of spicy, and addictive. Now for the real test: my in-laws. They've been to *many* dim sum places and are not easily impressed. They declared this place to have the best chicken feet that they've ever had: meat easily sucked off the bone, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and perfectly seasoned. High praise coming from dim sum veterans. Most importantly, my parents' first dim sum experience couldn't have been better. They loved everything from the ambiance to the food to the overall experience. My husband and I want to come back to explore more of the menu because there's clearly so much more to try

The current manager was my waiter this time, and he said that staffing has been a challenge; he himself also worked here, left , and returned. Colette offers a somewhat non-traditional, somewhat elevated menu, not as varied as other Chinese places, although they do offer dim sum and lunch specials. Note the menu on the website is old and kind of obsolete; the newer menu, which is laminated and has photos, is more extensive. The dish I always order is their fabulous chayote minced pork. I've also ordered their live lobster when I have a hankering. They have the lobsters and crabs in tanks on view, priced per pound. They can prepare it in several ways; I always choose stir-fried with ginger and scallions and add noodles. They also have some specialty dishes like winter melon soup that you must order in advance. I ordered 3 other dishes, only one for the first time. That was honey-glazed beef cubes. Slices of beef covered in sliced almonds on a bed of asparagus with an orange sauce that was similar to orange marmalade. Tasty and unique. The other 2 dishes that I've had before were the golden yolk luffa and the goo-loo pork (aka sweet and sour pork). Luffa is a gourd (like a cucumber) that is edible when young, but turns into the fibrous sponges we bathe with when mature. It's slighty bitter, here stir-fried with salted egg yolk. The pork was pretty traditional, slightly elevated with the addition of strawberries. For me, a reliable neighbourhood spot for Chinese. I hope they can keep it together.

I like coming here because it is not usually very crowded, and it is possible that it's because the pricing of the food is usually on the higher end. That being said, the food is reasonably good. The seaweed tofu salad has a nice kick to it. The black pepper beef was cooked well and the seasoning was not overwhelming. The crab fried rice tasted good, but the flavor of the crab was not as prominent. The dumpling was solid, but certainly overpriced for five pieces. The Dan Mein with chicken was a solid dish, but probably could get similar dish at the Chinese restaurant in San Gabriel Valley. Parking is easy, on the street or in the parking lot behind the restaurant. You can also park in the parking lot behind the Jamba Juice, which is located south of the Cordova Street. The servers were excellent, very attentive, extremely friendly, and definitely helpful. Would definitely come back, but knowing that it is on the expensive side. For seven dishes, pretty standard ones, it was approximately $150 after including tax and tip. The ambience was definitely immaculate, very clean restaurant, and the food was pretty solid.

Dan Dan noodles were too mushy for me and it was mainly because of the peanut sauce. I thought the sauce was too dense. The black pepper beef was tender and super flavorful. Restroom score 6/10 - could use more TLC. I would take a dump in there if I had to. I would recommend but for small groups. The space is charming and small - not good for large parties IMO.
