First of all, I'd like to say that I loved my nail tech. She was very detailed, and did a good job. She was kind, engaging, respectful. But everything around it was not great. I walked in with company and we both wanted a pedicure. A woman at the desk looked very disinterested and gave us RBF and said for us to sign in. Not warm or friendly at all. I looked at the paper at the desk and she points to an iPad on the other side. She seemed disinterested and not engaged at all. Made us feel a bit uncomfortable and not welcomed at all. The nail tech approached us and we explained that we would like a pedicure together. Which apparently everyone understood. Somehow, I started first and finished first. We both were offered something to drink which was very kind and really left a positive impression with me. However, I might not speak the language but I do speak enough languages and traveled enough to understand when someone is talking about us. My company asked to change the nail shape and have it shorter in the end and that is when it started. The other nail tech said something loudly in her mother tongue to which others chimed in. Another nail tech went to sit at the manicure station and looked directly at us and said something that they found extremely funny but when they noticed I was not happy looking at them since I was observing the room, they immediately got quiet. It's like when you are caught talking about someone and notice they looked at you - the whole body language changed and they stopped. That interaction made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I read the room and it was clear to me that the joke was on us. Again, when leaving and paying the same woman at the desk. She asked if I'm paying cash or card in such a rude fashion, that I was done. Even when I kindly ask where the trash is: she pointed to the door. They really need someone different at the desk. Someone that likes their job a little and has some customer experience. Left a nice tip for each nail tech and won't be coming back. read more

Be cautious with this salon. Always confirm the total cost before any services begin. I came in with one broken nail and requested a cut-down, reshape, and color change. I already had a long stiletto set with a fresh fill, so it was clear I didn't need another fill. Despite that, the staff kept insisting on one. The technician started filing off my nails without asking, saying I needed a "new set." I immediately corrected him and repeated my original request. Near the end, I asked for the price, and he told me, "later." He then had a conversation in another language with the manager, but no one explained anything to me. At checkout, I was suddenly told the total was $75. I asked for a breakdown, and the manager claimed it was due to the fill. I reminded her that I did not receive a fill, and she knew that before the technician even started. She spoke to him again in their language and reduced the charge by only $20. They charged me for a service I didn't receive and included a tip without asking. I have no problem paying for quality work, but I won't accept being overcharged or misled. Once he did come out things went by very smoothly and quickly. Kevin was my tech and he is greeeeat BUT he only works there 2x a week, no set days :-(.. because I would go back to him in a heartbeat. They had someone come by with waters/juice in case anyone wanted anything and when checking out the guy at the front asked me several times if I was happy with my nails before I left. Good customer service in my book. My only complaint/word of advice to others is to request they clean under your nails - I had to ask him to clean under them, if not it probably wouldn't have gotten done which seems to be the complaint from most people. read more

RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL. HALF-ASSED MANICURE. I went in yesterday to get acrylics done and the nail tech convinced me to get GEL X. I showed her a picture of what i wanted and what i got was something completely different. While she was filing the nails, i noticed one that was very crooked and i asked her to please fix it. Not only did she give me attitude by rolling her eyes at me, she took the finger and filed it down half-assed and its still crooked. She didn't pay any attention to detail and she didn't care that I was unhappy. It was the shortest manicure I've ever received in my life, I felt like I was being rushed out. The girl didn't even cut or push back my cuticles. The polish on my nails also looks like it's been grown over a week already because the cuticles weren't done right. I didn't even get a hand massage or anything. I didn't say anything in the moment because I don't like confrontation and i was already so uncomfortable that I just wanted to leave. Today, the more i look at my nails the more upset i am. You can clearly see the glue protruding out over my cuticles. You can clearly tell they are crooked but not only that, the shape is completely different than what I had asked for. I called the salon and spoke with the manager to let her know I was unhappy and she asked me to send pictures. When I let her know that the nail tech didn't even cut my cuticles she told me that "that service has to be requested". I have never been to a salon where you have to ask them to cut your cuticles or at least push them back. I thought that was something that was always included in manicures??? I had such a terrible experience here that felt the need to write this review. I would rather just eat the money i wasted here and go somewhere else to get them fixed. So careless, when she was putting my sandal on she smudged it and had to redo it so it's even worse than before, finally I just got sick of having to point out the flaws and left without giving a tip. You know it's a bad sign when you leave the nail shop and you're still bleeding. This will be my first and LAST time there. The nail tech cut me so deep, I was bleeding the entire time. Joy nails is inconsistent with pricing. I recall it being about $50 for a gel with manicure. The last time I went (with an appt) it was $47 for a powder dip! No manicure. So other than filing my nails and dipping it aorund, not much technical work was done. I somewhat understand the lack of cleaning my cuticles because for sanitary reasons you don't want to cut/ dip into a shared container. The girls that work here are very nice and there is an easy-going atmosphere, but I won't go all this way for such an expensive powder dip. I only go here on weekends as my regular salon is closed on Sundays. Also, this location is fairly large and can handle a lot of guests at once. I've had family coming here for many years. Unfortunately Tammy has messed up big time twice! She's careless and too quick rather than taking her time to make sure her clients are safe and happy. A few years ago, she made my niece who was maybe 11 or 12 at the time bleed while getting her mani . My aunt who has also been a returning customer went in yesterday and is in a lot of pain. She wanted her usual pedi, with a cut down and to feel better but Tammy was extremely careless and made her bleed badly and tried to interrogate her as if she was the reason she herself was bleeding! First visit to this shop yesterday I had an appointment and upon arrival I was greeted immediately and asked if I had an appointment and to sign in on the iPad in the front. It was very busy there for a Monday night, I believe I waited about 15 minutes before someone got to me. The lady who did my nails was a little cold at first and not social, infact she came off initially as direct and bold. Personally, I didn't mind because I am the same way. After a few direct questions from her, and some direct responses back to her she asked me what I was getting my nails done for and when she found out I was going on a vacation to Hawaii she became so much more social and open. I really enjoyed that, she didn't give me her name, because I told her I was going to leave a review lol (I think I scared her lol ) she worked on my nails fast, I was out of there in under an hour. When I went up to pay I asked for the lady's name and I believe the guy told me her name is Hu Li (not sure of the spelling). This is a one time review. I have been coming here for a very long time and have always had a great experience.. so this is very disappointing. The woman doing my nails accidentally cut my finger while she was cutting my cuticles and it started to bleed, which is totally fine I didn't even notice, but I specifically came on here to say that she just PUT ADHESIVE NAIL GLUE on the cut to stop the bleeding!! As a healthcare worker I am completely shocked. I asked her not to do that and she said it was fine. I still hope to go to this salon again but I will be requesting to not have her again. She also made no effort to do the design I wanted on my nails and only said I can get a sticker.. I have been here numerous times and have gotten designs so I know that it wasn't an issue and if she couldn't do it then she should've asked for help. I am baffled by the experience I just had. I picked out a light pink color for my dip manicure and the nail tech picked a color that turned dark red. She noticed after the first nail and I said no I want pink and she went on to try to convince me that it's a nice color while continuing to work on giving me a full set in this color rather than stopping to fix the mistake. When it was all done I said again, I wanted pink this is not pink. She she tried to shave off some of the red to cover it with pink and it came out splotchy and then told me I should feel lucky that I got a marble effect for free. I ended up having to pay full price and now will need to go to a salon while on vacation to fix these nails for a wedding I am attending this week. Absolutely do not go here. read more

I asked the lady why did it look like that and she said something it happens. As I walked to my car I noticed debri stuck inside the acrylic. Some of the acrylic were thicker than others. I was suprised because this was my 4th time going to this place. I was in a hurry so I called them to see if they could fix the errors the next day. The manager said she was with another customer and would call me back. No call back. I called the next day and they said the manager wasn't in until the afternoon but I would get a call back. Nothing. I called the next day and no answer. I simply wanted someone to fix their mistake. No drama, no money back. I was disappointed that they didn't even attempt to resolve the issue.
