I've been here multiple times and today I did a take-out order. Granted the restaurant was half full, but I still expected my order to take at least 10-15 minutes. I didn't think to time it but I know I was not sitting there that long. The restaurant really has that homey feeling and the food is always excellent, especially for the price you pay. I got the 2 eggs, homefries, bacon, and two slices of toast with a large orange juice and the total was less than $10. The food was so good and so filling that I may go get another order tomorrow morning. The only downside is that they close early and are exclusively for breakfast, especially on the weekend, but it still deserves 5 stars. read more

Josie's corner is a great diner! We came in for breakfast on Saturday morning and was pleasantly surprised we didn't have to wait too long. The food is outstanding and all the staff was nice and friendly! read more

Food wad womferful and the service even better! Giot there at the right time, it was packed within 10 mins. And you can't beat the prices.

Great breakfast, varied menus and great portions. The perfect neighborhood breakfast joint.

I had breakfast here today. They have amazing honey wheat bread which is homemade. The cheese grits were excellent. The portions sizes are great and the staff were very friendly. I will definitely go back read more

Super friendly and yummy food! Gone several times for weekend brunch. Its a really nice little spot. You just have to know that they close mid-day. read more

Wow great food. Even better service. Had bacon eggs home fries toast and one slice of cinnamon French toast. All home made bread. Best I have ever had.will be going back soon. read more

My favorite for breakfast or lunch! Food is excellent, all homemade, and you'll never find a friendlier group of people than those that work there. You will get real, honest food served with a sincere smile! read more

Pancakes pancakes omg. HUGE fluffy and delicious. They used jiffy mix or some sort of corn meal in the pancakes. EXCELLENT. The French toast is awesome too with homemade bread. Home fries are great. Hot coffee. Hot food. Friendly staff. Definitely will come again :) read more

Humongous portions (I'm not complaining) everything was very tasty and they have butter rum muffins!!!!! Can't find those anywhere these days. A must try if you are in the area. read more

My husband and I went to Josie's Corner a few weekends ago now and had a good meal. I had their western omelette, husband had eggs and sausage, and we split the homemade cinnamon swirl bread french toast. The bread in general was wonderful- it's a little pricey for the homemade bread but definitely worth it- I tried the rye and hubby had the wheat and then the french toast which was delicious (definitely recommend). Omelette was yummy, husband's eggs were decent enough, potatoes we found to be just alright (maybe we had higher expectations b/c of the reviews but found them not worthy of "best' title). Bread might "best" but not the potatoes. Service was good enough- it was busy and there seemed to be only one or two servers so it did take a while to have our order taken and get food. Big thing that struck us about Josie's was that it was really Loud. Maybe b/c it's a smaller place without any barriers inside to dull the noise, but it was hard to hear each other. Overall a nice place to go esp for the bread. read more

My favorite local breakfast food. Everyone is so accommodating as well. With food allergies breakfast is by far the hardest meal to eat out but it's my favorite and this place is perfect every time. I have had pancakes, french toast, omelettes, you name it I've probably tried it. Have not been disappointed yet. read more

This place does not disappoint. Eggs any way you'd like, satisfying portions, friendly and accomodating staff. Great pancakes and french toast made with home made bread. One downer, they do not use real maple syrup, nor do they offer it for a price. You can bring your own. They use some watery imitation. Place not that small, not that noisy. I'd say vibrant on the weekends. The homefries are awesome. Like perfectly seasoned mini potatoes, not greasy at all. Also, gluten free bread options and muffins. And, coffee is excellent for a diner like place. This is a hidden gem in Berlin. read more

Was passing through town and experienced great food, great service at an amazing price!!!

Good food, comfortable atmosphere. The parking is ok, and the place is clean. I've found service to be on the slow side. I try to stop here when I'm in the area and I have time for a good breakfast. read more

Great food, everyone there is nice, quick service. The vibe in there is a little bland and you can always hear the people in the kitchen talking while you're eating which is a little meh but I'm okay with it because I love the food and it's an easy way to meet up with friends. read more

This restaurant is awesome!!! It is spotlessly clean. The food is prepared fresh and is delicious. The server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The coffee was brewed fresh and the decaf was the BEST I have ever had with no bitter after taste. One of the owners came out and chatted with us. I highly recommend Josie's for breakfast and will try it for lunch next time. Definitely worth the drive from where you are!!!! read more

this was our first trip to Josie's. we will be back again !! PERFECT I had the Eggs Benedict and my husband had the hash and eggs, we also shared 1 strawberry pancake. the food was amazing, the pancake was light and fluffy and as big as your head. the hash was fresh and wonderfully seasoned. the Benedict was one of the best I have ever had and I'm a snob about hollandaise. service was great, it's small but homey and we were never kept waiting even for a second. even the coffee refills were never overlooked. I almost forgot, the bread, all we both could say is you have to try it to believe it. homemade and Fantastic This will be our first of many visits to our new favorite breakfast spot. read more

Great little diner. Friendly waitstaff, good breakfast. Homefries were good, a crispy coating around soft potatoes. Generous sausage patties and lots of pancake and French toast options. read more

This place is great. Excellent service, super nice people and the food is phenomenal. They make their own bread and the banana nut muffins are to die for. Probably one of the best breakfasts in the state. read more

The food is always amazing. Comes out piping hot! Great value, friendly staff. Probably my favorite breakfast place.

Their eggs Benedict is honestly the best I've ever had! It was amazing! I also tried their French toast and loved it!! The prices were reasonable, and while the ambiance wasn't fancy, the food certainly made up for it. read more

I travel to CT fairly often for business. I'm a breakfast guy, so I always seek the best breakfast around. Josie's corner has become my absolute favorite. Deliclicous! read more

Josie's is a great Breakfast and lunch spot. Excellent omelets and wide selections with very friendly staff.

Josie's is such a great place for breakfast! Great place for family or friends. Plus the service and all food is amazing!

Worst service I have had in years! Ordered a western omelet, was given a raw omelet twice! First time they sent my meal back, didn't give me toast, omelet still raw. Second time( again raw inside) I said forget it, I will just take a side of homefries. They literally gave me the side of fries on my plate (I knew this because I put ketchup on my fries). They had the audacity to charge me for a side of homefries and toast. No one even apologized or asked if I wanted something else. I, my family and friends, have been going here for years. I will not be back and will not recommend to anyone. Not because my omelet was raw but because the service was beyond horrible. I am very disappointed. read more

Great food, great prices, and great service! I actually used to go to Berlin Fare restaurant on Seymour Rd., but not only did I find that restaurant to be rather unclean, but their food was awful compared to Josie's. Josie's is a popular place, therefore everything is fresh; nothing would even have a chance to sit around. At a less frequented spot like Berlin Fare Restaurant (which I actually stopped going to because my "fresh baked muffin" had mold on it), they don't have a chance to use their food up as quickly, and the customer ends up suffering. Josie's coffee is always fresh too, and everything always tastes great. I am so happy to have such an awesome breakfast spot so close to my house. I wish I had tried it sooner. The banana pancakes were amazing! The staff is very friendly and patient, and it is a very comfortable atmosphere. My daughter even loved it, and she is an incredibly fussy kid! If you are looking for a meal that you will be impressed with in the Berlin area, this is definitely the place to go. They have a great menu with many options. read more

food & service are consistently solid. The homemade breads/muffins are the clincher for return visits.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! I go up to the counter to get my food which was ready. The waitress, tells me how much my bill was runs my card and give me the receipt and has the BALLS to say "feel free to leave a tip". FIRST OF ALL, i'm picking up my food so there is NO reason why you should be getting a tip, you didn't do anything. SECOND OF ALL my ORDER WAS WRONG even tho she repeated the entire thing to me as i requested it. My home fries and eggs were cold and I didn't have any syrup for my french toast. So I had to eat cold food and dry french toast. The food wasn't so much the problem as the service was. i do not appreciate being told that if i want to leave a tip i can do so. I've never been told that before and I think that its extremely rude for someone to say that. Josie's has definitely lost my business and anyone i'm associated with. read more

Too bad the service is terrible. You can sit for 30 minutes without a coffee refill, or even an order taken. It is a shame because the food is pretty good. I thought at first it may have been because they were busy, or training a new person; but over the last year I have been there 3 times and it was the same three waitresses, and the same crummy service. read more

We got there sunday at 11:15 and noticed not many people were eating. There wasnt a wait and we sat down right away. 55 minutes later, we received our eggs. We waited and waited and waited. By the time we got our food it was just ok...not worth the wait. No ketchup on our table while we had homefries. Waitress's too busy running around to ask for ketchup. I ordered my vege omelet with cooked vegetables and they came raw without cheese. Bad. Coffee awful. Will def not waste my time or money here. Who waits an hour for breakfast?? read more
