I've been here a few times to this location to attest that the fried chicken is delicious! It's right next to the Tacoma Mall (literally on the corner). Parking is shared with the mall parking lot; easy to find when it's not busy, but can be challenging to maneuver when it does get busy. Seems like there is just one entrance at the front to the store, where the line is set up from the door so it doesn't feel like there is much room, especially if you're ordering takeout and have to wait for your order. I like to order ahead with the Jollibee app since it offers rewards with a points system and also to limit social interactions. My order is usually ready by the time I arrive, so no complaints there. What's great about Jollibee fried chicken is that it's fried perfectly, even when it's not fresh. I'm not going to question the magic behind it, I will just say it tastes crispy and yummy and tastes great with rice or the gravy that it comes with. The portions are fair for the price. My pre-teen son likes their spicy chicken sandwich; for the "spice," it comes with Sriracha mayo and jalapeños but we usually exclude the jalapeños. The chicken tenders taste a bit mediocre and chewy for me, so probably won't order that again. When it comes to sides, the mashed potatoes and the spaghetti is good! The spaghetti is a bit on the sweeter side for me, but I like all the ingredients mixed into it. I can taste some meat (beef or sausage?) and cheese. I tried it for the first time yesterday and might order it again. I haven't tried the fries here since the pics don't look all that impressive to me. You can't go wrong with the dessert pies if you're craving something sweet. They do have the ube pie here and the peach mango pie. Drink options are fairly limited though.. I mean, you have your classic soda options but the only specialty drink they offer is their pineapple quencher drink. I was expecting this location to offer similar drink options compared to the Mack Rd/South Sac location in California (I frequented that location when I lived there but recently moved to Washington). They had a coconut dream freeze and lychee iced tea and other drink options I really enjoyed, but there's nothing like that at this location. Hence the 4 stars since I'm mainly just coming here for the fried chicken. Another reason is because some items appear out of stock. I wad able to order adobo rice for my previous visit a few weeks ago but when I went earlier this week, that option wasn't available on the app (which was why I decided to try out the spaghetti). They currently are doing a limited time collab with Final Fantasy XIV where you can get an exclusive "Eat Chicken" emote with purchase of the FFXIV box meal or 6 pc bucket bundle, but personally, I feel that it's overpriced and you're paying about $7 for the emote. If you haven't had Jollibee before, I'd recommend trying their chicken at least once. Definitely better quality than Popeyes and KFC (with the exception of the chicken tenders). read more

We had more than enough food for two women. The rice and mashed potatoes were well made and flavorful. The biscuits out of this world and I did not miss the American style butter and jam add. I have been wanting to try Jollibee since it first opened in Washington. For one reason or another I never have. We changed that during a recent trip that took us through Tacoma, we needed dinner, and I finally got to try! Aaaaand...meh. I wanted to love it. I'd even settle for just "getting" it. I didn't love it and I didn't really get it, either. The kids got chicken sandwich meals with fries, a drink, and mango pies. My wife had the Katseye tie-in sandwich with mashed potatoes, and I had the spicy chicken sandwich meal with Jolly Spaghetti and an ube pie. I also added an a la carte spicy fried thigh and its accompanying half-gallon of brown gravy. This is largely just preference, but I find Popeye's sandwiches bigger, juicier, spicier, crunchier, and tastier. KFC's aren't any better, but they are a fair bit cheaper. These were kind of boring, especially considering the hype. The spicy one wasn't so much spicy as it was seasoned, while the regular sandwiches tasted kind of lacking ANY spice. The Katseye sandwich was better, but incredibly sweet. I did enjoy the flavor of the sauce though. The fries were fries, the mashed and gravy were again, fine but not notable, and the solo thigh, like the spicy sandwiches, was a tiny bit spicy, but for all the red grease that ran out, I'd expect more kick. I don't get the thing with the gravy; I didn't find it added to the taste in any great way, and made eating a messy food even messier. And you are given a LOT of gravy. The pies were awesome. I think they were fried, like McDonald's back in the day. Just 11/10. The pies were also the only hot thing we got. Not that other stuff was ice cold, but the pies were very hot, and the rest was barely over room temp. It was weird since we waited quite a while for it, and ate right there. I almost forgot the Jolly Spaghetti; if you're not familiar, it's sweet spaghetti with hot dogs in meat sauce. It wasn't for us, but I get that one. It reminded me of canned Spaghetti-Os with hot dogs I'd get sometimes as a kid. As for the service, the counter was super fast and friendly, but the place was absolutely not being cleaned in appropriate haste or thoroughness. No complaints and simply just went full send to ensure that I got all the food that I wanted to feed my 15ish guests. The staff was so accommodating and even had the store doors open a couple of minutes before the official time, so they let me sit on the side before I could begin to order. I really thank them for that! I want to LOVE this location but it keeps falling short of my expectations. I compare it to the Southcenter location where the chicken has always hit the spot. The chicken here just isn't cooked like the Tukwilla location. It's not the crisp juicy chicken that I'm used to and sometimes it is oily. The pricing is kind of crazy expensive for a family of 4. Yes, they do offer Combo meals but the sides are so small! It's going to cost you more to upgrade to family sized sides. Rice doesn't even come with the meals anymore. That's extra. You better cook rice at home before you get the chicken! Lol Another thing that is disappointing is that they don't offer Palabok here. We got a 6 pc bucket, a 2 pc of their new Korean bbq sauce meal with a side of fries and a peach mango pie. I think the best time out of everything was the Korean bbq sauce (by itself), the gravy and the peach mango pie (although it needs way more filling, it was quite empty). I have never been to Jollibee and found myself in the area so figured I'd give it a shot for lunch. The parking lot at around 12:30 PM on a Sunday was extremely crowded but I was able to pretty easily find parking as it is a mall. The line was almost out the door but moved fast and efficiently. I ordered my meal and was given a buzzer. It took a few minutes but I got my order quickly, though it was a small order and i received my food before others who had ordered before me. As I walked to the seating area, a group left a table, and a worker very quickly wipes it down before I start eating which was kind. The chicken was some of the best fried chicken I've had in Washington. It was a good crispy outside, flavorful and juicy inside. I will say that I ordered the spicy and I didn't really taste any added spice. The spaghetti was fine, bbq sauce tasting with some hotdogs. I enjoy the novelty of it, but in the future I'd just opt for chicken personally. So I ordered Jollibee's the night b4 for a 1:30pm....pick up on Super Bowl. They were super nice and they got everything we needed even though we were late picking up. I will tell you that the food is nothing that I haven't tried before. I thought it would be really great although it was just regular fried chicken, the mashed potatoes had no taste. We got 2 extra sides of gravy, which I didn't understand, we got a side of the Jollibee spaghetti, which they are known for!!!! nothing was mixed in all the spaghetti sauce was on the top, and the rest of the noodles were just dry kind of weird, not sweet as I have been told‍...it's just regular spaghetti maybe canned Sauce.... Ugh......I do like how they put little flags in to let you know what spicy and what is not although it's not enough to give any more stars than I have...:i just honestly think I could've made better fried chicken then they did and also I make really good spaghetti. This Jollibee is by Tacoma Mall. I love their fried chicken joy. But the only downside really is that they don't offer palabok which should be a staple in all Jollibee. We ordered a bucket and burger steak. The staff are nice and hospitable. The place is very clean and still feels very new. It isn't a big place per se but I that's okay. I stopped by to try the Spicy Chicken Deluxe sandwich. The bun is soft with lettuce and tomato plus their spicy mayo. The patty is fried chicken super tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. It had slices of jalapeño too which was a nice surprise While the sandwich was good it was not spicy as advertised. It would have been best if they added the spice rub to the batter rather than sprinkle it on top of the finished product. Perhaps also add some ground black pepper to the spice rub for an extra kick. I was very impressed by this Jollibee location when I went. We went on a Saturday at around 3-4pm, anticipating that we would be waiting for at least an hour as it was the second weekend. There was a line but it went by pretty fast. We were able to order in line (but half of the line would order inside) and then pay inside. They seem to have their system down very efficiently as we were able to get our order in 10-ish minutes after paying. It definitely seems more like controlled chaos at this location vs. just chaos at the Southcenter one, which made it less overwhelming. Food as always was delicious. Jollibee is my favorite fast food fried chicken and the spaghetti is always so good. It is missing quite a few things from their menu (including the spicy version of their fried chicken), but unsure if those things will be added to the menu at a later time. read more

Our family took a trip to Seattle and Jollibee was one of the places on our list. Surprisingly, everything exceeded our expectations. The chicken tasted fresh...crispy skin and juicy and flavorful on the inside. The problem with fried chicken is it has to be fresh to taste good and this location was so busy during lunch hour on a Monday, you knew it had to be fresh. The chicken sandwiches were also great, along with the adobo rice, Mac and cheese and gravy. Next time I'd forgo the fries and pie. They weren't bad but there was nothing special about them. The service was the cherry on top. The gal who handed us our food was really friendly and handed us our food with a smile. They also asked us to complete the survey on the receipt which we happily complied. I ordered online so I was able to skip the line and the food was ready when we arrived! Steve and I went at last to the very popular Jollibee. To tell you the truth we have tried to go here once or twice on the weekends and sometimes the line is out the door. If you have multiple errands to do on a Saturday or Sunday it may not be wise to come here due to time crunch issues. So we went here on a weekday and the wait was still lengthy. No line out the door though. We got our food order placed quickly but the time for the food to be ready was a while. Some say... meaning other reviewers said that it's something that pertains to this location and not all of them but I can't compare since I've never been to this restaurant chain before. Once the wait was over the gravy from Steve's meal was missing but he didn't want to try and get it. Truly the shining star here is their chicken. It's delicious and wonderful to eat. Steve got a leg and thigh and it was tender, juicy and battered to perfection. I had a Spicy Chicken sandwich and that wasn't bad but Steve's chicken definitely won out. I had the Adobo Rice on the side and it was OK. I have a Filipino friend who is a great cook and makes wonderful Adobo but this one wasn't anywhere near that caliber. There is Filipino style spaghetti here too and tends to be sweeter than the Italian version but prior to going we heard from yet another Filipino friend that they made it way too sweet so we didn't try any of that. So I'd definitely plan to go on a weekday but either way whether it's a weekend or not be prepared to bring your patience. read more

I'm so happy there's a jollibee closer to where I live. Compared to the Tukwila one, this location has lesser people and the line is shorter. Everything is newer. The main reason why I gave a three star, I would actually give lower for customer service. But the food brought it back up. The cashier named Anela, she had a huge attitude problem. She was lowkey throwing attitude towards us like had no patience, which is understandable since it's a Sunday filled with people. But she suddenly yelled "Close the door!!" multiple times at a guy who kept the door opened because he was in line. The guy couldn't hear her because it's kinda far distance. I had a hard time to hear her even when I was right in front of her when we ordered. Then she started being amped up, and cursing at the guy "are you effing deaf?" And the coworker had to hold her down and calm her down. Her attitude was horrible. I totally understand she might have a bad day or something, but there was no professionalism and literally no one was being mean to her. That guy definitely did not deserve to be cursed at. Anyways, the spicy chicken was sold out quickly, so I had to stick with normal ones. The food was amazing as always. I am glad I got the spaghetti and adobo, so I can save some for dinner. There are a few booths, but it's mostly tables. We came near the night and the place was kinda messy, but I blame the customers more than staff for that. They're just trying to make it to the end of their shift.
