The moment I walked in the customer service was horrible. An employee named Aris didn't want to help me with the restroom she said "paid customers only" when clearly my family has sat down and then when I preceded to tell her I'm paying g she said well my hands are dirty. Her responses to be were rude and bitchy. I even told her if you're going to be rude don't work in customer service and she responded "you too" people like this need to be fired or slapped. Don't hire people who cant talk to people. Worse customer service I ever experienced at McDonald's. And the supervisor looked like a push over. Well first off all, I'm handicapped and I was hungry. I took an Uber and was so ready to sit down and eat. I get to the door and it was locked. A girl came to window and said they don't let people sit down inside anymore!! I was starving and really needed to sit. Well we ordered our food and went to find a bench or any outside table and chairs. There was absolutely 0 chairs/tables. We ended up sitting in the parking lot to eat!!! It so sucked that I'll never eat or recommend anybody to eat at this sad McD's ever. This is the worst McDonald's ever. If I could rate it a negative number I would. Customer service sucks here. Everyone in the drive thru who takes your order always sounds like you are bothering them. I went by there about 2 weeks ago for breakfast on my way to work. Asked for orange juice and was told they didn't have available yet. At 7am oj is not available.... Wth?! So today I thought I would give this location another chance. Ordered a filet o fish sandwich and was told they didn't have any fish Patties . And again I say it's 1230pm , lunch rush..... why wouldn't you have this item. This location is just a waste of space. I don't why McDonalds gets less than a three star rating, or more than three stars for that matter. No matter where you go, the food is the same, the decor almost always is, and so is the service. The food isn't haute cuisine by any stretch and won't even give an average mom and pop food stop a run for its money. But still, if you're out and about and you get a rumble in your tummy and want to fill that hole inside without taking a lot of time , McD's is good enough. McDonald's is the stick with which medicocity is measured. By the way, this particular outlet has no lobby. You can't come in. It's strictly drive through and deliveries only. Review is based on drive through. I only wanted small fry and cheese burger. Cashier ( who was very friendly) pointed out they had a meal deal and would be cheaper if I added drink and nuggets. If I could give this McDonald's no star I would. I order two coffees through the mobile app and they couldn't even get something as simple as that correct. How do you forget sugar when the mobile order is right in front of you? We were asked to go through the drive thru to replace them, and when we pulled up a staff member let out an annoyed sigh when we asked for it to be made in front of us. I personally didn't feel like having an allergic reaction to dairy if they got it wrong again. Make sure to look at your receipt when using the rewards. Cashier old white lady took off the rewards and had me pay full price and while saying "thank you for using the rewards" to cover up so I wouldn't notice. I agree, some of the people in the lot can be a bit scary but this is downtown and it's often what we expect in any busy downtown area. I really like this new building better than the last ones. It's McDonald's, so there isn't a lot to say about it that differs from any other one but I have noticed the employees here are not nearly as friendly as most other McDonald's restaurants. One tidbit of historic information I found out is that THIS location was the FIRST one in Tacoma, originally built in 1963. I was eating my fries when a homeless woman walks over and kinda casually tosses a scrap of paper with her name "Cherry" and a phone number written on it. This McD's is a block away and in a pinch I eat here form time to time. Usually when I'm on the run to work and only have a few minutes to eat while driving. The drive through is always lightening fast. I've yet to have my order incorrect. The food is consistent with my other McDonald experiences. Only downside is the location, right across the street from the Pierce County Courthouse and being downtown as well there are always sketchy people hanging around. I suggest you roll up your window once you get your food and keep your doors locked. I've never been messed with, but best to stay safe, especially the ladies out there! read more

Love this drive-thru! I come through 2 or 3 Fridays a month and get the exact same order: sausage egg mcmuffin and a mocha. It's always very fast, consistent, and correct. Best of all, the staff is incredibly nice. If these folks ever have a bad day they don't let their customers see it. read more
