My boyfriend found not one but TWO pieces of hair as he bit into his chicken. Mind you, this is NOT my hair, this hair looks like it was tied up (AT LEAST THE WOMEN WORKERS TIED THEIR HAIR UP) but next time, try using a hair net and try NOT to tie your hair anywhere close to this chicken. As a result, he threw up everything that he ate because it was that disgusting. We always eat at Jollibee, but somehow they always mess up our orders whether its giving us regular chicken instead of spicy, or giving us the wrong sides. read more

Jollibee - Fast Food Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

Good food, but overpriced in my eyes. I ordered one basic chicken sandwich and it's was nearly $8 alone. Good if you have the extra money. Not good if you're on a budget. I would recommend a McDonalds sandwich for $2-$3 only. read more

Thought I'd try this place out. First thw drive through design was made by a first grader and caused more traffic jams then anything else in this shopping center. I place my order for a chicken deluxe meal after quite a wait get to the window and was told it was almost $17 dollars.....then they realize their orders are in the wrong order. I am given my drink and fries (which are cold) and asked to wait in the parking lot for my sandwich . When I finally get it, make my way through the crazy parking lot, I realize that it is a plain Chicken sandwich and NOT a deluxe as was ordered and paid for!!!! At this point I already know I'll never ever be back and I do this review just to save YOU some time and money!!! read more

Once again, I am confounded by the Yelp star system...I paid less than fifteen bucks for two really good meals (based on Michael M's review and his review only). I read several other reviews later, and was astounded... My Review: I can hear Howard Cosell... "The champ is leaning against the ropes, seemingly the walk from the dressing room has him winded? I see sweat beads on his brow. His corner is furiously mopping up his drippings. Maybe it has been to long since he has had a serious contender darken his doorway, but he appears to be a touch out of shape (not that he was ever in that good shape to begin with...Cosell mumbles under his breath). The perspiration is dangling from his mustache and dampening his elongated soul patch. His trademark pomodoro silver hair seems to have lost it's bounce, and has matted itself to his sweltering forehead. His three button, vested, white suit, frayed at the edges, appears ready to burst at the seems, the middle vest button barely clinging like a man holding to a cliffs edge, struggling for dear life. "Across the way, the contender. Happy, smiling, waving to the crowd. He came to the ring dressed in a maître d's red jacket and black bow tie, maybe he means to serve up some spicy fowl to our reigning chicken king? His eye's are wide and white, as he circles in his corner, buzzing in anticipation. His crimson and gold shorts a flurry of motion." The referee calls the contestants to the center of the ring for final instructions. I read Michael M's review of Jollibee, and had been looking for an opportunity to try them out. After a day of floor leveling, measuring, cutting, and laying tile, neither my better half (call her Madame Butterfly!) or I were in the proper mood to cook. I suggested we try Jolliee? She frowned, "What's that?" (She has a way of putting things just so I understand). "It's this take out Filipino chicken joint, I read about on Yelp." She frowned, "Look, you remember Michael?" "Yeah," (She knows Mike IRL (lol) also). "It was his review, and he talked about their spicy fried chicken?" (Mike, you just became my scapegoat!!!) "Well, okay, Michael cute" (I made that part up). We had to run to Home Depot to pick up a will call, so we swung by. (This is where I try to be useful...again...lol...SMH) 1. If you are going, you gotta turn in from King. If you are headed to Liliha, on Dillingham, there's no left at the King intersection...I did not know that? 2. Get take out...who eats in at a fast food joint? Paul Giamatti in "Sideways"...sad. We ordered the 2pc ($5.99) and 3pc. ($7.99), each came with a choice of one side (mashed, fries, or corn) and drink. "No mashed potato's," she says! "Corn, please,"...see how smart I am. We requested "spicy," but neither could find it on the menu. I was apprehensive. We pulled around, and it took a extra few moments for our order to be ready, so we watched the young man working the drive thru. He was above and beyond the Best I have ever seen at his job, classy, gracious, apologetic, and all with a "Price is Right" smile...this guy gets it! We take our bag with the big smiling bee, "Cute," She says. "Looks like Michael?" (I made the last part up). Now, you can look at my pics for the rest of the story...but that's some spiccccy, goood chicken! After finishing. "I'll wash your plate," I am told...(that's her seal of approval!!!) "Winner, winner, chicken dinner!" Oh, and in case you were wondering, it was Jollibee by knock out in the second... "Down goes KFC...Down goes KFC..." Thanks Mike! Say howdy to Mary! Aloha read more

I FINALLY made it to this Jollibee after clincals yesterday. Went through the Drive-Thru and the line moved pretty swiftly. There's only one "window" where you do all the dirty work -- pay and receive yo' food. And, ordering takes place before that, not at a window, as usual. I love their spicy chickenjoy chicken. NOMZ. The food we ordered was ON POINT! . Spicy chickenjoy - on point . Regular chickenjoy - on point . Fries - on point . Mash - on point . Gravy - on point . Spaghetti - on point (You get the idea.) The food seemed so freshly made bc everything was temperature hot. Nothing seemed soggy or super oily or anything lidat. (Yay.) For those unfamiliar with Jollibee spaghetti: the "meat sauce" is on the sweeter side and includes slices of hot dogs. :) I used Gabriel's suggestion on throwing some fries in the mix, and it was BOMB. Dude knows what he's talking about. After all, he is the Jollibee Kid. ;) Anyway, my only gripe = the non-English-speaking woman worker at the window. She was quite rude and probably confused... (Maybe bc we couldn't understand each other? Not to mention, my Grandpa is like half deaf.) I know this place just opened... I get it. I know that they're really busy and blah, blah, blah.. But perhaps the non-English-speaking peeps should NOT be stationed at the window where there is probably a high influx of English-speaking customers...??... (Just a thought.) I understand that there are many ESL people on the island and across the globe... (Hey, that's great; props, bro.) But, really, this is an English market. (I sound like a grouchy old hag right now, but just keepin' it real. I was kind of disgusted by the rudeness.) I will be back for sure though. Hopefully, service improves. I'm sure it will... But, I'm just going to give it some time before my return. read more

Came here drive thru, last night for a final meal before going back to San Diego. Food was delicious as always. A chicken joy bucket and a spaghetti family deal. Drive-thru order only took 8 mins to recieve, awesome service!! Only wish for the spaghetti sauce to have more sauce on it. read more

Oh boy where do we start? As a loyal customer that stops by before and after work I know how busy they usually are and usually takes them at least 10 minutes to make my food, Usually I get the Chicken sandwich and they just recently released a Chicken tenders that usually takes them same time to prep so I called ahead in advance to place my order, I drove in the drive-thru lane for pick up because their line was not long and due to COVID I want to minimize my distant from people, thinking they would accommodate this boy was I WRONG! BOY was I DISAPPOINTED! They told me to PARK my CAR and WALK IN TO GET MY FOOD.... ARE YOU FOR REAL? They could have just let me pay and grab my food right then and there for my order, as I asked to speak to a manager all she did was stall me and not give me my order and told me to park my car and come inside to pick up my order... this location and it's customer service is horrible. They need a better management team because their management does not give a **** about their customers. I've been coming here for years but that was a slap in the face, I will not support this behavior and corporate needs to address this immediately. I explained to the manager why it's important to accommodate their customers if they are going to be letting us place phone orders why can't we pick it up through the drive through? She has no answer besides the fact that their drive through is usually busy, (which it wasn't) when I drove there waiting for my order, and that's why I called them in advance in the first place. Wife and I had to try out this Filipino KFC chain. Turns out that this place is probably bigger world wide than KFC. They got chicken joints throughout the Middle East! We're not talking Missouri, we're talking United Arab Emirates and Qatar. We ordered the spicy chicken. It comes with a flag sticking out it. Well, wave that spicy flag high, cuz this shizz is HOT!!! The mashed potatoes and gravy are not as chemically as KFC's. We noticed the restaurant is packed. We shared the mango and peach pie. Imagine a McDonalds apple pie with mango and peach. Yeah, it's that good. Decor is like a high end McDonalds. In the next ten years you will see more of these and less KFCees. Salamat! read more

Jollibee is the Philippine's NUMBER 1 FAST-FOOD‼Yup! You heard it right! Maybe places like Mc.Donald & KFC are very famous US fast-food places and they are all over the world, and the also adjust and adapt with what are the local favorites of the certain country they are in, like in the Philippines, we love RICElike crazy and FRIED CHICKEN, so Mc Donald & KFC serves them in my country too, and they are impressively good! BUT, when it comes to the number of people that mostly patronizes what food place?Sorry guys, JOLLIBEE reigns! If you get to visit the Philippines, there's way MORE people dining at Jollibee than any other fast foods. Normally, Mc.Donald is always right next to Jollibee, that's how intense their rivalry. But when you notice who has more people inside it, oh well, the numbers don't lie that's how Filipinos love Jollibee. Especially kids! Taste and price wise, it's excellent! Very affordable and absolutely yummy! I like this branch here in Honolulu., specifically here in North King Street. It's very convenient, they have Drive Thru..the food is great as always and the service is FANTASTIC! Great Job guys! keep it up Continue putting a BIG SMILE on people's faces, not just Filipinos! Because....SA JOLLIBEE, BEEDA AND SARAP!!! read more

A lot of missed orders when we stopped by. We ordered drive thru and was told to wait at a parking stall. 3-4 cars were stacked outside waiting for orders and others that were parked away from the restaurant were getting their orders 1st(which I assume they arrive before us). 30 minutes past until I decide to come in. A guy walks out with his order saying "What the f***"!" A lot of others were waiting inside too. Lady next to me was telling someone else on the phone that they were taking long. I presented the nice lady my receipt which she stated a person had just brought it out. I went outside to my car and was still missing one of my orders. I went back inside and went through two different people on my order. The last attendant asked " what else are you waiting for sir?" I gave my receipt and stated I was still waiting for the family order palabok. She took the receipt and talked to her other crew members which I guess she had to confirm first. She then came back and told me sorry sir, we'll be making your order. We got our full order, after 45 minutes, after going inside and finding a solution. If you're going to order her, better order inside and confirming your order. Either it was shift change or the crew isn't just communicating. It was a lot of moving pieces inside and was hectic. Props for correcting the issue though and no attitude. read more

Jollibee - The 45 minute palabok - Fast Food Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

This place is like a McDonald's and a Zippy mashed up. Jollibee is a very new fast food joint that opened up in 2014. It's kind of a big deal, since how could you not see it when you commute in and out of Kalihi on a daily basis. After reading the reviews on this place on Yelp, I figured why not try this place, since it was relatively new and I was just all over trying something new - rather than having Pho. Then again, Pho is amazing, but of course, gotta change it up or else I would probably bleed Pho broth if pricked enough times. With that said, Jollibee is your basic fast food joint, but with a no-so-typical food fare options. The interesting part is that they serve breakfast here, kinda sorta mirrors McDonald's breakfast platters. Not that that's bad, but it was interesting to see that on the menu. Joliibee also offers burgers and chicken plates that are sure to please anyone and everyone. It's fast food really and not saying that's bad, but it's definitely different from all the major players out there in today's marketplace. Jollibee caters to the local Filipino community, wherever the Jollibee restaurant happens to be. The menu reminds the community of home in the Phillipines, so that's great. Almost like having L&L Barbeque on the mainland, but its not as good as being in Hawaii. This Joliibee restaurant location is situated in the busy Kalihi cross intersection of Dillingham Blvd, North King Street, and Liliha Street. There is a drive thru option for those of y'all who don't want to sit down in a clean restaurant. Much like McDonald's, Burger King, and all of the kings of fast food, it has that asthetically pleasing feel of the fast food experience. The restaurant itself here in Kalihi is more or less clean and the service was pleasant as fast food tends to be. The other locations in Hawaii Jolibee has is in Ala Moana Shopping Center - Makai Market Food Court and in Waipahu. Jollibee accepts cash and major credit cards, so that's just sinfully awesome. Nothing worst than to carry your plastic and it's cash only! That sucks I came here on a nice Thursday morning before work. I'm thankful that I had one more option than just McDonald's and 7-Eleven during morning rush hour. Parking can be a sticking point at times, but like aforementioned before, there is a drive thru option. But, if you want that restaurant experience, there are limited parking spaces available, or you can find parking at the adjacent strip mall. But if you are like me, many bus routes come through this exchange and stops nearby, so you can get here no problem! Since it was breakfast time, I decided to try their breakfast platters with corned beef hash. I really like corned beef hash and was it was pretty good. Rarely have corned beef that's not from the can, although this may be from the can, but who knows really. Lol. I also tried out the halo halo, since it's one of the more popular desserts here. It was pretty good, although the taste wasn't as appealing as I would have been eating real ice cream or even gelato. For what it was worth, I think it was just okay. After all, it is fast food, so take that as face value. The overall experience was okay and typical, as fast food restaurant adventures go. The service was good at the counter and pretty quick. While the new interior was pretty funky. It reminded me of Taco Bell or Taco Del Mar. Not quite impressed, but seeing that it was my first time here, I will let it slide. While I would probably come back here and try one of their burgers. While I can't recommend this place for specific food items, it's decent for what it offers. While the menu is quite limited, I'm sure that they will expand their menu over time and offer a lot more stuff for their customers. The halo halo was good, so you can come to Jolibee for that. Support local! C+ read more

According to Consumer Reports magazine, Jeep cars are very unreliable & low scoring on its road test, but they're popular. I've seen a bumper sticker "It's a Jeep thing. You wouldn't understand." So it is here at Jollibee which is a pride & joy of local Filipinos, & that's good. Jeep, Jeep, Jolli, Jolli, maybe there's a song here. I asked the counter gal if their chicken is deep-fried. Stupid question, huh? I guess I was hoping it was baked. English was obviously her 2nd language & she answered speaking very fast & unintelligibly, to me. I settled on their Ultimate Burger meal which was awful & over $7. You get a big scoop of plain white rice AND fries -- carb overload! Nutty! My fault, I should have scutinized the menu better. My plastic ware was dinner sized (which I took home for re-use), not the cheap, tiny stuff everywhere else, but they gave me a fork & SPOON -- huh? One needs a knife to slice the burger. I didn't, but should have tried one of their Filipino desserts. The dining room got busy, & the drive-thru was busy too. It's a colorful room & clean looking. Beware the entrance is next to the drive-thru lane & the area outside is not marked to keep cars & kids safe from each other. read more

There are not many positive things to say about this restaurant. The drive-through and the spaghetti are the only reasons why I would return. Even at that, however, the drive-through was very slow and twice I had to actually stop my engine and then restart it to progress forward. They were out of fried chicken - really? And I was told that the wait was going to be 17 minutes. Why can't a restaurant that has been in business for several years, and a national chain to boot, get this right, and anticipate running out of chicken so people do not have to wait? The spaghetti ($3.99) was sweet and savory, and mini-sized, but perfect nonetheless. They were also open past 9:00 pm, which made it a convenient stop on my way home. read more

For fast food fried chicken, Jollibee ranks very high in my books...and I dare say, the chicken at this Kalihi location was probably even better than we've had at Ala Moana! (We've had some inconsistent results at Ala Moana...but in all fairness, I should note we've only been to the Kalihi location once so far.) I love that the outside is so nice & crunchy, yet relatively light, without tons of extra batter or herbs/spices going on. Don't get me wrong, it's super flavorful & yummy, totally satisfying on that front...but when I eat fried chicken, I really want it to taste like chicken!! O:-) You'll also notice that the meat is EXCEPTIONALLY moist & tender, and there's practically no fat on these birds...it's basically just meat & beautiful crunchy skin! So there's no need to be picking off yellow globs of goo every couple of minutes, like some other places, ick. I can't really comment on the cleanliness, decor or service--since the bf was nice enough to get us takeout while I sat my butt at home, hehe--but the food (chicken, fries, gravy & corn) are a solid 4 stars! One star off b/c I wish the fries weren't so pale (gotta be golden-brown & crispy!), & the serving size of the corn is just SAD (maybe 1/2 cup, if that!) though nice & buttery. And of course, their gravy is WINNER--basically tastes like KFC gravy, but without the overwhelming amount of pepper that KFC uses--absolutely perfect for dipping your french fries (or fried chicken, or fingers, etc), hehe!! read more

A worker who had no patience taking large orders through the drive thru and had the audacity to call us simple minded and saying i cannot take this anymore. Worst customer service ever. love the food chain but i feel bad for this worker for having to work there because she could not pursue her dreams as a singer or nurse. I do not feel bad insulting her because she deserves it. I just want people with large orders to be prepared if they encounter her in that drive thru. Please call her simple minded and say sorry for her crushed dream read more

I came here because I was craving fried chicken and it was closer than Popeyes. I thought the chicken was yummy...super juicy. The mashed potatoes were tasty as well. I didn't try the spaghetti but I like that it's an option. What other drive thru can you go in that has a pasta option? If you know one, let me know. My husband tried the burger and it tasted weird. Like the patty was either fake meat or made out of beef jerky. Oh and his fries were cold. The employees were REALLY friendly. This place wasn't terrible but it's not gonna be a spot I run to nor recommend. read more

Some how not consistent on the service I have received at other locations. The employees seem preoccupied to even notice a patron walking in to their establishment. Lacking is the friendly atmosphere that Jolibee is known for. I guess they take it for granted since draw here is the food and not the service. It's too bad, since I'm sure the owners of the company spent so much developing a corporate culture and their brand. The quality of the food is about a 3 star. Cleanliness of the dining area is a 5 star. I wonder if this is a franchise or corporation owner location. Only reason to come here is for the comfort food, that's it. read more

...Love the crispness and freshness of their chicken here. Anytime I crave for Filipino fried chicken or sweet spaghetti I come to Jollibees. Tonight I bought a bucket of chicken (6pcs) for roughly $13. Kind of pricey but it's worth it. Service is pretty fast but I give them a 4 star because the lady taking my order in the drive thru seemed in a hurry that she didn't even answer my question and automatically asked me to drive forward. Oh well what can you expect from a "fast food" chain right?! If you ever go to Jollibee you have to try their halo-halo. They have the best so far compared to other places. read more

Buzzz buzz! Come along all you Jolly Bees! Well, it was only right to have a Jollibee in Kalihi...finally! The ever so famous Filipino bee is located at the corner of Dillingham and King Street. The parking lot is small but provides up and downstairs and includes a drive-thru. They have NUMEROUS employees that work at an efficient rate and are polite. They even wipe down your tables attentively. I have to say, they did a great job preparing for their grand opening. The place is clean and neat and includes bathrooms. For breakfast they offer pancakes, tilapia, toccino, hot dog, longanisa, patty, corned beef, coffee and more. For lunch they offer fried chicken, burger meals, spaghetti, palabok, chicken strips, corn, mashed potatoes and gravy, halo-halo, fries, and more. Their B4: Amazing Aloha burger meal for $7.19 includes cheese, bacon, lettuce, and pineapple. That pineapple in the burger makes it unique other than that the patty itself was your average burger with that gooey chew to it? :/ Their N2: Chicken joy with spaghetti meal was not too bad for $6.69. The spaghetti came with small chunks of ham? and of course because it's made the Filipino way it was SWEET spaghetti as compared to the Italian way which is a bit more on the sour side. I'm not a big fan of the Waipahu or Ala Moana Jollibee's chicken, but at this location I actually dig it because it was crunchy and juicy but a little bit on the bland side, which I prefer. I don't like too many spices and mixed up flavors invading my mouth. This joint gets pretty busy and the drive thru lines can get pretty long, so don't come here if you're in a rush or are impatient cause duh you'll probably end up writing a negative review or stinging everyone cause you won't be a jolly bee. I would suggest coming when it's not that crowded or busy so you can have a better experience. Overall, Jollibee keeps me coming back for their great customer service and food that reminds of my childhood memories. Thanks for bringing Jollibee to Hawaii! read more

Went through the drive thru to place an order, had an order for 4 people. Delicious chicken! My first and was very impressed. In my opinion, they have the most tasty fried chicken around, far better than Popeye that I visited rather frequently. Now, the game has changed! Long lines, people bringing 6 bags of chicken out the door, gross spaghetti, disgusting burgers. The burger tasted like high school cafeteria pre-made frozen patty burgers. Odd texture, weird taste. The only redeeming part was the chicken. It was cooked well and was served hot, juicy, and crispy. I think it could use more spices. I didn't realize there was gravy included with the 6-piece until it was gone. Too late. I bumped it up 1 star because the chicken didn't suck. The halo-halo didn't look good from the menu pictures and the people around me eating it. The breakfast could possibly be decent, but I won't try it. I will not go back to any Jollibee in Hawaii ever. I think it's more of a nostalgic thing for Filipinos and isn't even close to the hype. They also only only accept Visa/MC. Not AMEX friendly. read more

Upon entering we were warmly greeted which speaks loudly to me. We ordered the 3 Piece Dipper Meal $6.49 to which my grandson really enjoyed. He asked to go to Jack in the box for their chicken strips but I found that we made a better choice by coming here instead. I ordered their Chicken Sotanghon Soup which looks like Chicken Long Rice, initially it didn't look like the picture that that was hanging in the dining room but I thought to myself, well if it's like chicken long rice then just maybe the soup needed to be absorbed by the long rice being that it was really hot. Sure enough about 1/2 hour later it certainly did resemble chicken long rice minus the slice of eggs. So, if you're not really hungry then go ahead and order it because it does take a while for the noodles to plump up and if you are hungry you can choose from their many other items which range from from of course chicken, burgers, hot dog, spaghetti and also desserts. This is a nice place, the only thing is their location. They are located at the corner of Dillingham and King, which is a very busy intersection. Parking is plentiful but NOT a very good area to allow children to walk outside unsupervised especially if they aren't attentive to moving vehicles. Would I come back again? Sure would if I'm headed West Bound on Dillingham So if you're ever in the area stop by! read more

I drove by many times prior to my first visit to this location and to put it nicely, this Jollibee is located in a really crappy neighborhood. However, when I entered the establishment I was pleasantly surprised to find an oasis of Filipino fast food. The decor was fresh and modern. I noted that cleanliness was a priority from the dining area to the kitchen. You could see that each staff member knew they had a job to do and they did it well; each was dressed impeccably in their uniform, friendly and had an attitude of putting the customer first. The nice young lady taking my order even did an up-sell on me for a hot fudge sundae - I walked away from the counter with a sundae and I was happy about it. I like this place. I think I found a new guilty pleasure. One tip: I would recommend staying away from the cheeseburgers if you are a burger person though. Let's make this quick like their service:) 1. Cheap 2. Tasty food 3. Convenient 4. Consistent flavor 5. Jolly hotdog! (Hands down) There you go folks fast and short. Read more for more details: Its so much cheaper than any thing that's being sold on this area. The chicken is so crispy, I kid you not its just way different from other crispy fried chicken. Their spaghetti so sweet a bit sweet sometimes on other jollibees but not this one. Then their jolly dog! The best jolly dog almost same as the one they sell back home. The only drawback they don't serve some of the foods you would be able to get on other jolliness, they don't have the bangus (fish) and their jackfruit pie. Other than that we were happy after eating here! I took my time deciding to what to eat. I circled the food court 4 times and end up going to jollibee! After going in once and receiving a bad service, I gave it the benefit of the doubt that just maybe it was one of those days. After trying a second time, I came to my conclusion that they do indeed have bad service. With all them people working at any given time in such a small place, they should have outstanding service. Secondly, they shouldn't be speaking Tagalog in front of a customer, I am Filipino myself but out of respect to others they should speak English as we are in America.
