My husband went through the drive-thru to redeem a "1 free any menu item" ticket I received from a collegue, but the employee working there questioned him repeatedly about where he got it and did so in a very rude manner. She even took a photo of the coupon with her phone and then said nothing further before handing him the sandwich. I'm trying to understand why redeeming this coupon was treated as a problem. Was it an issue with not knowing how to process it in the system? My husband also did not receive a receipt so after hearing what happened, I called the location to ask about it. Though known for their items are made to order having a convenient breakfast in this area are very slim searches and thankfully in the early mornings there little to no lines though if there is you'd honestly will be waiting quite a bit. The staff here is always nice and friendly making sure you have all the sauces and condiments for your order so that you'd be on your way without starting your day hangry. On this visit I didn't noticed but a frustrated gentleman was asking when the restaurant will open to the response of the manager is "I'm not sure it's a staffing issue" sadly and was currently running just the drive thru with a positive vibe. Did not offer condiments. This location is so convenient as the Dillingham Blvd location closed. The drive thru lane is acceptable as it shields drivers from the rain if it is stormy. Y i k e s... So you know how people always joke about walking through a Drive Thru if you don't have a car? And then seeing if they'll take your order? Well, at this Jack in the Box location, you can make this joke your reality :D Allegedly they're very short staffed at this location (the worker didn't explain this to me, but I'm going by the context clues) and so instead of having the dining area operational, it's locked up at a certain time and only the Drive Thru window is open. So to make or pick up an order, you'll have to WALK THROUGH the Drive Thru. I found this out when I tried to open the door to order food. The door was locked but I could see 2 workers inside. I knocked on the door and she pointed at the Drive Thru area and then went to help the customer at the Drive Thru window. I awkwardly walked along the path you're supposed to drive down. And stopped by the Drive Thru Menu. I was still high key confused and shocked because what was I doing walking here? LOL. I wasn't sure if she wanted me to order through the intercom by the menu. "Hello?..." I said at the intercom with no response. I waited a bit until I felt sorta stupid. The car in front of me had left. Then I saw another guy walk up to the Drive Thru window like it was normal. So I decided to walk up to the actual window that the worker stood by, next to the guy. After the guy left, I ordered a Brown Sugar Boba and some Mini Cinnamon Rolls. I paid and waited by the window. Still kinda in shock and awe, I took a photo of the Drive Thru. They also provided me with a big red boba straw, as I've seen some given a normal width straw to impossibly drink their boba. That was another plus. Though the boba did leave a lot to be yearned for. If I could give them 0 stars, I would, this location literally set a record for having screwed up the most orders... I went back once every few years usually because whoever I'm driving (friends usually and a handful of Uber/Lyft customers) insist to get food there because it's closest to our/their destination despite my warnings. The food is either burnt/dry or it's so greasy it literally drips oil, and that is IF you get everything you ordered... 9 out of 10 times, they will forget items in your order. There is nothing you can do to improve your score! You guys are the most terribly staffed Jack-in-the-Box on the face of the planet earth!!! Where do I begin? I've come to the Jack-in-the-Box before, 60% of the time it's OK. There are times where these guys take extremely long to process orders... Today though was beyond horrible. This place is direly understaffed, I went into the drive-through with only three people ahead of me, ended up waiting a half an hour just to get to the intercom. When I got to the intercom, the guy told me that they were not taking orders unless it was online orders. What the heck? So you mean to tell me I stayed in line for a half an hour just to be told that they're not taking orders except online orders? So I wasn't able to order anything in other words. I waited a good 15 minutes more, and I kid you not... A good 15 minutes for the people ahead of me to get their order. The drive-through is structured in a way where once you're in line you can't get out... You have to wait for the person in front of you to leave before you can leave yourself. And...The person behind me was still stuck at the intercom because the guy wasn't taking their order. I wish I would've been able to tell them that he wasn't taking any orders that day. She probably could have maybe backed away if there was nobody behind her.... I was mad, and that's taking it extremely lightly... Finally, when I got to the window this tired old guy apologized and he said that he was the only one there and that he was working all night long. I felt sorry for him... But who I don't feel sorry for is the manager who has epically failed to run an efficient business. If a business or a restaurant is understaffed, they need to close. How selfish and greedy can you get that you would force your workers to work overtime And put them in a situation where they will be set up for failure and anger your customers at the same time? Is the money worth it? Is it worth it to grab people's money while being terrible customer service purveyors just to get an extra few bucks to stay open? Terrible Manager is an understatement - if this manager wasn't on duty, every manager comes in and helps out regardless. The store owner isnt any better because he hired a manager that can't even write a simple sign outside the store that says that they are no longer operational. This is a textbook example of what not to do. This business owner whoever is responsible for the efficiency of the store should have his business license revoked and his establishment closed down. This is the rant that I did not want to do... a simple trip to get some food from a local Jack-in-the-Box store has turned into something more infuriating that I could ever imagine, that is the treatment of the workers at the store, and the blatant disregard and disrespect for their customers. We did a mobile app and my wife ordered the combo meal I just ordered a fish sandwich which they brought back recently. First we got there and wanting to order the mint chocolate chip shake and was informed that they have not received their shipment, but we could try the other locations. The fish sandwich was good and was different from other places we tried, but when we got home I took out all what we ordered and my wife's combo was pretty sad the French fries was only half filled and they were cold like it was the left over and they just filled what they had and served them. The mint chocolate chip shake was picked up on a different day not from the same location, my wife enjoyed the shake very much! She called and they told her she can come down and pick up another one? Which she explained that we are already at home and wasn't going to drive back out. The mini churros tasted Disney-World-grade nearly divine with some sort of wet, soft cinnamon purée stuffing... definitely a favorite in the world of desserts!! The supreme croissant sandwich appeared underwhelming at first, but tasted very clean and I believe it's underwhelming because they are trying to keep the "empty calories" minimal, like from say thick sauces or coated greases. The egg & cheese in particular tasted just how I wanted it to, the croissant tasted a bit like butter but not too strong, and the bacon and ham seemed like real meat. Reading the previous reviews on Yelp I was pretty leery and skeptical about getting a fast meal here before the Symphony. I really didn't want to be frantically delayed or to have Montezuma's Revenge during the performance. We had wasted time by trying to park at two other places without luck. It was either here or something at the Blaisdell concessions and as luck would have it, Jack won hands down. Hubs was driving so he passed me the Jack In The Box coupons he keeps in the car. We needed something quick so we both got the $5.99 Triple Bonus Combo. While I was checking in on Yelp he brought our 2 drinks out to the car in the rain with straws then went back inside. Not even two minutes later he was back with our meals. We were short on time so I bit into my burger, yum! Warm, juicy, veggies looked appetizing, delicious! I shoved a couple curly fries into my mouth, threw everything back into the brown paper bag, and took that and my drink with me. Light changed to red so I told hubs I was jumping out of the car at the corner of Ward. Precious cargo( my dinner) and I got out of the car as the light turned green. Made it! Their meat tends to be higher quality than the others, but that's not a high bar. Let's be totally honest, it's all about the curly fries at Jack. This particular Jack in the Box benefits from the sparse competition for hungry attendees at the Blaisdell's various events. Like many others either attending or exhibiting, I didn't exactly want to pay $8.25 for a no char, no cheese mediocre hamburger from the Blaisdell's food vendor. Not sure why this Jack is getting panned. It's relatively clean, service is a little slow at times, but there are lots of tables, both upstairs and downstairs for patrons with a decent number of parking stalls. The drive through is fairly efficient. There's always some kind of promotion going on too to save you some money. My last visit, I tried the new quad combo meal consisting of a four burger patty, small fries, small drink for $7.99. The patties were smaller than Jack's normal, but they were cooked right with a good amount of tasty crust and melted cheese. I happily munched down to lunch. This is no Teddy's and definitely not a Betty's Burger, but it does the job and it's definitely better than the Blaisdell's captive offerings. read more

I do not understand how when she was talking to me on the delivery drivers phone. She was very rude to myself and the driver after he had been waiting there all this time.
