I've seen this Jack in the Box restaurant on the corner of Ward/Kapiolani Blvd. for ages, but only recently did I decide to drop on by this location for a quick lunch. I was was super busy at work & had passed the 5 hour limit for taking a lunch break (company work policy), while driving towards my next customer in Waikiki, I decided to check out Jack in the Box as I had a coupon from the local Mid-Week newspaper. Upon walking into the restaurant, it was pretty empty, with the exception of a few homeless bums hanging out in the Jack in the Box parking lot. Upon walking up to the ordering counter, virtually there were no workers manning the counter area. After waiting for a bit, I saw two workers in the back, and one worker came out to take my order. I handed over my coupon DEALAGES for (3) chicken tenders, fries, & a drink, all of this for $8 bucks and some change. What can I say about the grub? By far one of the best fast food chicken tenders I ever had, even moa' bettah than McD's! Although the restaurant was clean, unfortunately the atmosphere here is kinda unsettling because as I ate my meal, one of the homeless bums was watching me through the window from the Jack in the Box parking lot. With a lot of people not wanting to work, I guess this Jack in the Box location encourages customer to use the self-ordering kiosk at the ordering counter. An old guy like me, I have no clue on how to place an order with a coupon, otherwise I would have used the kiosk. Food was good, area kinda sketchy.......I'll probably stick to the other Jack in the Box near my office instead. Lol! read more

It's jack in the box cmon people. Never a five star but let's break it down. Lunchtime 6/3/26. Cashier ***** cashier was on it, I wouldn't be surprised if she were the manager Loaded breakfast sandwich *** I mean nothing was wrong with it Jalapeño poppers *** the pepper size got smaller but could be just the batch of peppers -again nothing was wrong but it's not Michelin quality. Yet I'm not complaining. Apollo hot sauce ***** kudos jitb! When a restaurant says spicy or hot I never believe them but this ladies and gents ..was insanity!! I poured it on my breakfast Sando and thought meh not going be hot but as I was about to take a bite I knew that smell so in my head I was like scooby doo "huh?" And lo and behold, it tasted and fired up exactly like Dave's insanity sauce...which is a ghost pepper sauce I never cared for because it has a burnt molasses taste. And while the heat is good it alters the flavor to burnt molasses, and is way too hot for people that like chili pepper water. Maybe okay for people who like Thai spicy, that's me, my mouth had areas that burned for hours but it was a pleasant surprise since I was totally not expecting that. If jalapeno poppers is too hot for you, do not even think of asking for this, you amateur you are going to die. Luckily, I got two packets so either I could use it on a rainy day or prank someone ..dillemas dillemas. read more

I created a yelp account just to rate my order (5 April 2026). If there were negative stars I'd give this Jack 12 of them. I ordered two hot mess burgers, a shrimp bowl, side of fries, and two tacos. BOTH burgers were two patties, no cheese (I added cheese), less than a teaspoon of sauce, one onion ring, zero jalapeno's. The shrimp bowl had ZERO shrimp and the tacos and fries were missing. This isn't the first time they've done this but it will be the last. I hope you get reviewed by a youtube influencer and get rolled. Worst JNB in the STATE. read more

Breakfast in a hurry... Though known for their items are made to order having a convenient breakfast in this area are very slim searches and thankfully in the early mornings there little to no lines though if there is you'd honestly will be waiting quite a bit. The staff here is always nice and friendly making sure you have all the sauces and condiments for your order so that you'd be on your way without starting your day hangry. On this visit I didn't noticed but a frustrated gentleman was asking when the restaurant will open to the response of the manager is "I'm not sure it's a staffing issue" sadly and was currently running just the drive thru with a positive vibe. Be kind and patient as we all are short staffed and are doing their best and thank you for my breakfast. Thank you! read more

My husband went through the drive-thru to redeem a "1 free any menu item" ticket I received from a collegue, but the employee working there questioned him repeatedly about where he got it and did so in a very rude manner. She even took a photo of the coupon with her phone and then said nothing further before handing him the sandwich. I'm trying to understand why redeeming this coupon was treated as a problem. Was it an issue with not knowing how to process it in the system? My husband also did not receive a receipt so after hearing what happened, I called the location to ask about it. I believe the employee's name was Shamey. When the phone was answered, no one spoke until I said "hello," and the tone I received from her was rude from the start. At this point, it seems the issue may simply be the employee's attitude. They need to improve guest interactions at this location. read more

Dinner for the family was a DEAL!!! So the rare 5 star review for Jacks based mainly on the value of having the Jack APP!!! Haha if you don't have it, you must get it if you like deals for your ohana. Online deals paired with 20% off tonight led to this wonder family meal: Just under $10 Bucks for 2 Jumbo Jacks, 2 Breakfast Jacks, 2 Tacos, and Halfsies Fries. Food is consistently good, therefore, I return. The service needs a lot of work and staff should be replaced. Twice in a month, my order was incomplete and once, I did not get my change or receipt. Tried calling the restaurant, but the line was consistently busy for over an hour. Team member was clearly unhappy and checked out. Did not greet me upon arrival at the window. Did not offer condiments. This location is so convenient as the Dillingham Blvd location closed. The drive thru lane is acceptable as it shields drivers from the rain if it is stormy. The homeless presence is a bit unnerving as they walk next to the cars in the drive thru lane's "tunnel". Filed a complaint with corporate. Unacceptable as I do not fee like a valued customer at this location. read more

Y i k e s... So you know how people always joke about walking through a Drive Thru if you don't have a car? And then seeing if they'll take your order? Well, at this Jack in the Box location, you can make this joke your reality :D Allegedly they're very short staffed at this location (the worker didn't explain this to me, but I'm going by the context clues) and so instead of having the dining area operational, it's locked up at a certain time and only the Drive Thru window is open. So to make or pick up an order, you'll have to WALK THROUGH the Drive Thru. I found this out when I tried to open the door to order food. The door was locked but I could see 2 workers inside. I knocked on the door and she pointed at the Drive Thru area and then went to help the customer at the Drive Thru window. I awkwardly walked along the path you're supposed to drive down. And stopped by the Drive Thru Menu. I was still high key confused and shocked because what was I doing walking here? LOL. I wasn't sure if she wanted me to order through the intercom by the menu. "Hello?..." I said at the intercom with no response. I waited a bit until I felt sorta stupid. The car in front of me had left. Then I saw another guy walk up to the Drive Thru window like it was normal. So I decided to walk up to the actual window that the worker stood by, next to the guy. After the guy left, I ordered a Brown Sugar Boba and some Mini Cinnamon Rolls. I paid and waited by the window. Still kinda in shock and awe, I took a photo of the Drive Thru. I was wondering what to do when a car rolled up next to me... probably wondering what I was doing. Lo and behold of course this happened. The worker handed me my order and I walked away before the car got any closer. This has got to be the weirdest experience I've had of ordering fast food. I get that staff shortage is an issue and they're "trying to make things work". Though customer safety might be an issue if you have people walking through the drive through along with cars driving through. There should also be ample signs posted on the door to notify customers of what's going on, instead of me ducking around and finding out. Not everyone can read between the lines easily... *shoulder shrugs* The whole experience was off putting and I'm definitely not returning to this location any time soon. The Brown Sugar Boba was super duper sweet. With the syrupy layer on the bottom with the boba. Some of the bobas tasted a overdone. Like they've been microwaved a few more times than once. Developing a hard crusty side. They were chewy and reminded me of more traditional boba. That was a plus. They also provided me with a big red boba straw, as I've seen some given a normal width straw to impossibly drink their boba. That was another plus. Though the boba did leave a lot to be yearned for. It was lacking... I don't recommend it, can definitely pass. Go to a legit boba place. I was just too curious to sample a Jack in the Box boba. read more

If I could give them 0 stars, I would, this location literally set a record for having screwed up the most orders... EVERY SINGLE ORDER I've ever had here over the last 15 years had been screwed up one way or the other. I went back once every few years usually because whoever I'm driving (friends usually and a handful of Uber/Lyft customers) insist to get food there because it's closest to our/their destination despite my warnings. The food is either burnt/dry or it's so greasy it literally drips oil, and that is IF you get everything you ordered... 9 out of 10 times, they will forget items in your order. My roommate just came back from vacation and wanted some Jack in the box because it's something quick and close to home, we ordered a chicken sandwich, double jack, 2 tacos, curly fries, extreme sausage combo (w/ hashbrown and coke), stuffed jalapeños and onion rings. The lady at the drive-thru window handed me 3 bags of food and then stood there and stared at me. When I asked about my drink for the combo, she was like, "Oh. I didn't give you the drink?"... uh, DUH! I wouldn't be asking for it if I had the drink! Since she already forgot my drink, I told my roomie to check and make sure all the food was there but of course he didn't listen and just told me "yeah, its fine, I trust they got it all in there".... Got home to find the 2 tacos and curly fries are missing... It's so irritating... read more

I always have to double check my order. Food is fine and pretty standard for fast food but when I do come here majority of the time something is missing. There is nothing you can do to improve your score! You guys are the most terribly staffed Jack-in-the-Box on the face of the planet earth!!! Where do I begin? I've come to the Jack-in-the-Box before, 60% of the time it's OK. There are times where these guys take extremely long to process orders... Today though was beyond horrible. This place is direly understaffed, I went into the drive-through with only three people ahead of me, ended up waiting a half an hour just to get to the intercom. When I got to the intercom, the guy told me that they were not taking orders unless it was online orders. What the heck? So you mean to tell me I stayed in line for a half an hour just to be told that they're not taking orders except online orders? So I wasn't able to order anything in other words. I waited a good 15 minutes more, and I kid you not... A good 15 minutes for the people ahead of me to get their order. The drive-through is structured in a way where once you're in line you can't get out... You have to wait for the person in front of you to leave before you can leave yourself. And...The person behind me was still stuck at the intercom because the guy wasn't taking their order. I wish I would've been able to tell them that he wasn't taking any orders that day. She probably could have maybe backed away if there was nobody behind her.... I was mad, and that's taking it extremely lightly... Finally, when I got to the window this tired old guy apologized and he said that he was the only one there and that he was working all night long. I felt sorry for him... But who I don't feel sorry for is the manager who has epically failed to run an efficient business. If a business or a restaurant is understaffed, they need to close. How selfish and greedy can you get that you would force your workers to work overtime And put them in a situation where they will be set up for failure and anger your customers at the same time? Is the money worth it? Is it worth it to grab people's money while being terrible customer service purveyors just to get an extra few bucks to stay open? Terrible Manager is an understatement - if this manager wasn't on duty, every manager comes in and helps out regardless. The store owner isnt any better because he hired a manager that can't even write a simple sign outside the store that says that they are no longer operational. This is a textbook example of what not to do. This business owner whoever is responsible for the efficiency of the store should have his business license revoked and his establishment closed down. This is the rant that I did not want to do... a simple trip to get some food from a local Jack-in-the-Box store has turned into something more infuriating that I could ever imagine, that is the treatment of the workers at the store, and the blatant disregard and disrespect for their customers. Try, to be as kind as possible to the employees because more than likely it's not even their fault that they've been put in that situation. I asked to speak to the manager. The manager wasn't even present... It was just this one gentleman who was working by himself, he was doing the cooking, he was doing the intercom ordering... This is absolutely insane! This is really criminal, and a bad look on Jack-in-the-Box overall. Have some common sense, if you can't get your staff together... Then close your establishment at least for the day. Dont subject your hard working staff or your customers to this nonsense. read more

We did a mobile app and my wife ordered the combo meal I just ordered a fish sandwich which they brought back recently. First we got there and wanting to order the mint chocolate chip shake and was informed that they have not received their shipment, but we could try the other locations. The fish sandwich was good and was different from other places we tried, but when we got home I took out all what we ordered and my wife's combo was pretty sad the French fries was only half filled and they were cold like it was the left over and they just filled what they had and served them. The mint chocolate chip shake was picked up on a different day not from the same location, my wife enjoyed the shake very much! She called and they told her she can come down and pick up another one? Which she explained that we are already at home and wasn't going to drive back out. The manager explained and apologized and told her when she is in the area to use her name an pick up another French fries, which she did and was very happy it was made fresh and hot! The mini churros tasted Disney-World-grade nearly divine with some sort of wet, soft cinnamon purée stuffing... definitely a favorite in the world of desserts!! The supreme croissant sandwich appeared underwhelming at first, but tasted very clean and I believe it's underwhelming because they are trying to keep the "empty calories" minimal, like from say thick sauces or coated greases. The egg & cheese in particular tasted just how I wanted it to, the croissant tasted a bit like butter but not too strong, and the bacon and ham seemed like real meat. I will be a returning customer as this place allowed me to eat lunch today due to how quick service the entire process of receiving one's food is. Reading the previous reviews on Yelp I was pretty leery and skeptical about getting a fast meal here before the Symphony. I really didn't want to be frantically delayed or to have Montezuma's Revenge during the performance. We had wasted time by trying to park at two other places without luck. It was either here or something at the Blaisdell concessions and as luck would have it, Jack won hands down. Hubs was driving so he passed me the Jack In The Box coupons he keeps in the car. We needed something quick so we both got the $5.99 Triple Bonus Combo. While I was checking in on Yelp he brought our 2 drinks out to the car in the rain with straws then went back inside. Not even two minutes later he was back with our meals. We were short on time so I bit into my burger, yum! Warm, juicy, veggies looked appetizing, delicious! I shoved a couple curly fries into my mouth, threw everything back into the brown paper bag, and took that and my drink with me. Light changed to red so I told hubs I was jumping out of the car at the corner of Ward. Precious cargo( my dinner) and I got out of the car as the light turned green. Made it! After picking up my tickets in front of the box office, I found a dry spot to sit, called hubs to let him know where I was and we both enjoyed our meals before the concert hall doors opened. I saw a few envious smiles when they saw us with our telltale bag and drink cups enjoying our burger with fervor. Perfect timing and a wise choice for sustenance before being thoroughly entertained at the next venue. Concert got out at about 10 p.m. Good job, Jack your mission was accomplished. read more

I can count the number of times I eat fast food, especially chain fast food a year on one hand. But when I do, it's normally Jack in The Box. Their meat tends to be higher quality than the others, but that's not a high bar. Let's be totally honest, it's all about the curly fries at Jack. This particular Jack in the Box benefits from the sparse competition for hungry attendees at the Blaisdell's various events. Like many others either attending or exhibiting, I didn't exactly want to pay $8.25 for a no char, no cheese mediocre hamburger from the Blaisdell's food vendor. Not sure why this Jack is getting panned. It's relatively clean, service is a little slow at times, but there are lots of tables, both upstairs and downstairs for patrons with a decent number of parking stalls. The drive through is fairly efficient. There's always some kind of promotion going on too to save you some money. My last visit, I tried the new quad combo meal consisting of a four burger patty, small fries, small drink for $7.99. The patties were smaller than Jack's normal, but they were cooked right with a good amount of tasty crust and melted cheese. I happily munched down to lunch. This is no Teddy's and definitely not a Betty's Burger, but it does the job and it's definitely better than the Blaisdell's captive offerings. read more

Then says she sees it after 5 mins of arguing. When I get my order she handed one drink and a bag but I had ordered 2. I'm telling her it's 2 and she's not believing me until she checks the damn receipt and still almost gives me the wrong drink. Mind you, I've been waiting for about an hour at this point.
