    Asada Quesadilla

Excellent tacos, quesadillas and burrito! I arrived just past 6:00PM and some were still waiting. I was able to place my order and waited for around 15 minutes. The foods were ready and everything tasted so good!

Been pushing off coming here because I thought find parking was a hassle, but I'm glad we ended up going. ***What I ordered ~ **Asada Burrito (10/10) ~ This size of your face and PACKED. The asada was very tender and everything was SOOO flavorful. If you use their hot sauce it gives the burrito a good kick. I HIGHLY recommend the burrito! **Asada Taco (9/10) ~ Really good! The asada was tender and the fresh herbs cut the fat! It was delicious. **Beef Tongue Taco (6/10) ~ The tongue was tough (which is to be expected). I guess I didn't really like the texture too much, but it was still good. Overall, Service was fast! We ordered on the phone so by the time we got there everything was ready. If you get the chance, try this place! It reminds me of the stuff you find at Cali!! :)

@fortunefoodfinds: "You're fantas-TACO n' my fav-URRITO! A plate of tacos (asada, chicken, barbacoa, carnitas) n' a carne asada burrito from THYDA'S TACOS. Hands down the best tacos n' burrito that I've had in a while. Don't sleep on their red n' green hot sauces, which compliments the meal. So the next time you're in Kaka'ako wanting Mexican food, this is the real deal!" Staff: friendly Exterior: food truck Wait time: 10-15 mins Parking: street or side lot with a few spaces Overall comments: yuMmmm!! Me n' da hubz inhaled the tacos n' burrito, seriously the best. The burrito was moist n' so flavorful. Hot sauce not needed, but since I like heat, I switched off between the red n' green sauces. The orange sauce was too spicy for me. The tacos came with everything you need. Good in size n' full of flavor. After finishing our food I was already thinking of when we would go back bc I was feening for more!

Best burrito on O'ahu, hands down. The tortilla is perfectly chewy and soft. The burrito is packed to the brim with fillings that are well balanced, including rice, beans, cheese, sour cream, and optional guac add on. I love the cilantro in the guac. I got a carnitas burrito and the carnitas was tender and flavorful! I tried the carne asada too and that was perfectly cooked and cut into smaller pieces, which gave the burrito a great mouthfeel. It was pretty busy at 1pm on a Monday, but they were able to prepare two burritos in about 10-15 minutes. Not much outdoor seating as it's a food stand across from Whole Foods off Queen Street. Definitely try all of their sauces. The orange salsa is spicy!! And I love spice.

Right across of Whole Foods parking entrance. There is no parking at all, so just park at Whole Foods and walk across the street. It's that stationary food truck you see but never go to. It's so busy and taco Tuesday is crazy busy! Either $2 or $2.5 tacos. There's a variety of sauces you can self serve right in front. I ordered the beef cheeks, beef tongue, and the asada tacos. Luckily I called in and was able to get my order secure. My boyfriend and I have to say this must be the best street tacos on the island. They are so good! The beef cheeks were tender and so were the beef tongue. I honestly couldn't tell which were which! I love the salsa verde. The red and orange sauces were spicy. Orange was more spicier than the red though. I am 100% coming back

August 2025: $12 carnitas burrito. Delicious

Best carnitas burrito in town. Carnitas is fatty and crispy. Burritos is not as giant as mainland burritos, but can't complain for $12. Line can get long during lunch rush (and HOT). Worth the wait.

Small taco truck located near Whole Foods. Friendly workers. Called in order - estimated 15 minutes and was ready for pickup when I arrived. Ordered the Carne Asada Burrito and it was pretty good! Not quite the same as California burritos I know and love, but it hits the spot for now. I wish there was salsa provided on the side. Would recommend if looking for a decent burrito spot.

What an amazing little taco stand in the middle of town. The must try for me is the Asada Burrito with the habanero sauce. It's HOT! Quick tip, phone in your order because Thyda is busy during lunch time. Parking is difficult but it's worth it.

Thyda's Tacos is a small, hidden food truck tucked on the side of Queen Street, right across from the Whole Foods parking lot. It's a small setup, but there are a few benches where you can sit while waiting for your food. I got the asada quesadillas ($12), and they were pretty good. So warm, filling, and super cheesy--which I love--but I'd knock off 1 star because it's a bit pricey for the portion size. There's a little station by the truck window with sauces you can help yourself to, along with small cups and lids to take them with you since this is a grab-and-go spot. I especially loved the green sauce. I'm not sure if it's store-bought or homemade, but it was delicious and gave the quesadillas an extra kick of flavor. I'd come back to try more, but the pricing might hold me back a bit. That said, I did notice their tacos are half-priced on Tuesdays, so that's worth checking out if you're looking for a deal!

The lengua taco was super succulent and the carnitas taco was very tasty! I loved that they had the authentic side veggies and I enjoyed the salsas. The meat had just the right amount of juice for great flavor in the tacos while not falling apart, and the tortillas kept together well. I parked at the Whole Foods parking garage since I went shopping there after, and there's a bench you can sit on that has an umbrella or you can take your food to go. I definitely want to bring my family here and try out other menu items too!

I been here a handful of times and enjoy it.I get bad anxiety when ordering and forgot that this location goes by the amount of tacos and not the sets and I was ordering like set and the man taking orders to me started raising his voice to me and seem very irritated. He only stop being rude when our friend who was a man showed up from parking. The lady with the bun was really rude to her fellow coworkers as well to guest.Very disheartening when i support this place on social media and in other avenues.Definitely will stop supporting this business.Food is definitely awesome and authentic. But I can not support a place that dose not treat others with kindness or dignity.I would say if you suffer with social anxiety avoid at all costs.

It was simple, comforting, and absolutely delicious. My son, who's from California and very serious about his Mexican food, said it was the best bean and cheese burrito he's ever had--which is definitely saying something! The portions are generous, so you definitely get your money's worth, and the spicy sauce has the perfect kick with amazing flavor that takes everything to the next level. The crew inside was welcoming, quick, and the meat was on point. They even came outside to check on us. My son is a picky little dude and started picking onions off his chicken quesadilla. My son crushed it and even used their mild salsa, which is wild because he thinks everything is spicy. My burrito had great flavor and the asada was legit. I even called home for extra orders so everyone could try it. They loved it too. This spot isn't in our usual area, but I'm glad we found it because it's hard to find solid burritos in Hawaii.

Mexican sounded good to everyone so we picked this spot and we're all very happy we did. Our server was kind and attentive. The place was lovely and decorated with just the amount of fun you expect. Some great photo ops in there. He even told us they were having a mariachi band tomorrow and invited us to come back. The food from the start with nachos and salsa to the end with tres leches was all delicious. I ordered the chorizo queso and it was fantastic. My son ordered the guacamole and it was so fresh and limey. Also delicious. My grandkids shared a quesadilla which was definitely large enough to do so with. My oldest grandson ordered a torte and he loved it. Also a generous portion. My son and I both ordered the grande burrito. He got his wet and I didn't. His was served on a plate and mine came wrapped in foil in a basket. I wish it would have also come on a plate. I like to cut it up to eat and the foil made that difficult to do. I enjoyed each item though not my favorite, it's hard to find good Mexican or Hispanic foods here on island. The enchiladas were okay, I prefer shredded chicken over diced. I do have to say it was consistent from this visit from my last. My friend said the fish tacos were huge and good. And then I remembered I actually had them before but they weren't memorable I guess, found the pictures in my phot Lamin from about a year ago. Another friend raved that their nachos are amazing but I didn't try them. Service was pretty quick and the line was easily controlled. Some language barrier, my Spanish for ordering food is minimal at best. It's a street taco spot on the side of the road. You can park at the business parking lot next to it but there is not a lot of real estate. There's a picnic table and couple chairs and tables to sit at in the shade so there isn't really any ambiance to tell you about.
