Delicious! Any of the taco meat options (beef, pork, or chicken) with "the works" on top (onion, cilantro, and sauces) are so so yummy! They are $5 each but well worth the price considering the quality of ingredients, the flavors, and the overall satisfaction you're going to feel afterwards. Accidental find in the Kaka'ako Farmers Market parking lot near Kewalo Basin. Odd hours but lots of parking available as well as sit-down dining options. Food: ordered a pork belly carnitas burrito and was blown away. Was sure what to expect from a food truck burrito, but it was very delicious. The rice was so flavorful, pork was nice and fatty, onions for crunch, but the game changer was the fried cheese skirt inside. Probably one of the best burritos I've had on the island. Happy National Taco Day!! Days like this gets me to my happy place at Tacos de Cacheton where you can find them right along Kewalo Basin Harbor and with lots of free parking just steps away to enjoy your bites with that lovely view. Yes I had to get their tacos which they proudly use Raiz Tortillas which was my question of what it is and apparently are special small batch tortillas that are stone ground and are made in Hawai'i...ahhhhmazing!! Each taco is $4 and to add your choice of Pork Belly, Chicken Tinga or Carne Asada for +$1 and are topped with onion, cilantro and salsa though when I got them additional toppings were different with each (I got the pork belly and chicken Tinga)...chicken had crema I think BUT I did add hot sauce which isn't included but the chicken did have a slight heat for those that may be sensitive but the couple pieces of lime made it all come together magically! The tortilla is incredible as it held it all in perfectly! They do have Burrito, Quesadilla and a Taco Plate as well with Jarritos making it the ultimate experience thoughI do wish they have a veggie option as I love their tacos and the fiery choices of hot sauces making it a place to taco bout it all. This place has some of the best street tacos I've had on island. Ordered pastor and barbacoa tacotote (street tacos w/ cheese, the regular ones don't have) and it's amazing to say the least. Was so impressed I ordered a torta and plate to take home. Honestly have been back many times since and it's so good. Been waiting for the arrabez (pork shoulder w/vinegar) which I actually have dreams about. I do hope they decide to stay with raiz tortillas as I think it really helps to make the taco The owner Sean is a really nice guy and is always working. Super friendly and overall just a nice guy. Tacos De Cacheton is located at the corner of Ward and Ala Moana on the wharf where the food trucks park. As previously mentioned, I'm a bit of a taco snob but they never disappoint. Their cachete and lengua are my go to meats but the carne asada and pastor is also very good. There's ample seating, free parking and if you're looking to eat outdoors this is definitely a spot to try. The food was amazing! I got the single taco for $5 and the Taco bowl as well. Meat for mines was Al Pastor (SO GOOD) I highly recommend to try them! Very authentic and its full of flavors in one bite. I love that they also sell Coca Cola bottles from Mexico! Good price to buy $2 I think. It was a nice day to eat outside on the pier. There was a nice breeze and the faint scent of the different cultural food variations cooking. I came after 4:30 on a Friday and not too many people were present. I ordered the Barbacoa Cachete Burrito. The burrito was huge!! It was filled with rice, beans and beef. It had salsa, but I wish it had just a bit more. The rice was nice and fluffy like Spanish rice should be. This burrito will need to be split even for the super hungry or half of it saved for another meal. Definitely coming back here. I am more than satisfied. I am ready for a nap. read more

WOW. The best torta I've ever had. We got cachete (beef cheeks I think). The meat was so soft and flavorful, the bread was perfect, and they even grill the cheese on the flat top. We also got the 3 taco combo with chicken tinga, barbacoa, and Lebanese style. All were amazing but the Lebanese was my favorite because it was so unique. I've been to places where rice and beans were an afterthought. Not here. Nothing here is bland. The rice was nice and fluffy, the beans were tasty. We went to the Kaka'ako Fisherman's Wharf Nightlife at 1011 Ala Moana Blvd for a low key bday. We had a group of about 10 people and we all went to the various 4 food truck vendors per each person's craving. One of the group was visiting from out of the country and hadn't had tacos in the states yet and ended up ordering a few from Tacos De Cacheton. Our table was pretty much right next to there (the area is only so big with 4 trucks and we had the largest group there that night, so it shouldn't have been hard to find us or our friend that ordered from there since it was not even close to a packed house with plenty of empty seats and tables). Everyone else's food had been recieved / delivered, (at least 5 orders from the Elephant Truck of various Thai food, and we were even tracked down from the empenada truck at the other end to get our food from them). Our friend went to check on his food considering everyone had gotten their food already and they were already outright rude, not apologetic at all, saying they called out the name "Josh" a few times, although our friend's name is Edgar and sounds nothing like "Josh", and they gave his food to someone else. They claimed they would then make his food, still giving off the blame that it was our friend's fault. (Our table was within earshot of the conversations and easily audible since there weren't a lot of people there) 20 more min go by and we urge our friend to check on his food again. We were shocked and appalled for the second time as the guy gave even more of an attitude, again putting blame, claiming they called his name again and he didn't come get it so they gave his food to their employee because he was hungry (and our friend wasn't?). Again, not the least bit apologetic and rather blaming. Our group of 10, can hear the conversations, but not one of us could hear the correct name "Edgar" being called out and it was Our fault? Maybe if they whispered the name from within the truck, although one of their guys was talking story just outside of the truck most of the night, while all the other trucks made it a point to find their customers and actually had the care to make sure they got the food they ordered and paid for. He finally got his tacos, and they are tiny. How hard is it and how long does it take to assemble tacos? Best Mexican food on the island hands down. The carne asada and al arabes meat are always delicious. The staff is charismatic and accommodating, and dishes usually come out promptly. The tacos are very small, so if you want a filing meal go for the burrito or the burrito bowl. Their rice is the most authentic Mexican red rice that I have had in a long time. We found this food truck as we browse the many options at bellows market. I love a nice outdoor setting. What caught my eye was how they had this food spinning machine that broiled the meat that was on a spinner. My family is a sucker for tacos so I decided to order us two of each. Cachete: beef cheeks. This was a soft version of carne asada. Soooo juicy and soft! Al arabese: herbed dressed pork. Al pastor: I don't usually eat pork, BUT THIS IS MY FAV!!!! I think it's the pineapple that made it so tasty. I couldn't taste the pork flavor much, it tricked me into thinking it was like the white meat of a chicken. It was so good! Service is outstanding! So why tell us 5:30?! So we left. They also have this attitude that they don't care about your business. My go-to order is the tacos Arabes, an adaptation of Lebanese shawarma. Every time I bite into those tacos they seem to get better! I wanted to like these so bad but holy shit the carne asada is too spicy. I'm not even weak when it comes to spice-- my boyfriend isn't sensitive to spice whatsoever and neither of us could finish more than one of the 3 tiny tacos because they were drowned in sauce. No crema or anything to cool it off. We asked if we could have sour cream and they weren't super happy to give it to us, and even when they did it was a VERY tiny portion. The rice that came with it was pretty hard around the edges, definitely tasted old. I try not to post 1 star reviews, since I know it's their livelihood. However, in this case, the business owner(s) should be informed. Ever wondered why the Thai Elephant Truck next to you has the longest line? They not only called our names, but brought out each order to our table for us. That's called service. Service industry is what you're in. It took over 30 minutes for 2 tacos with NO queue. It shouldn't take half an hour to assemble 2 little tacos. At least be nice about it. Instead, you were rude & ill-mannered without a single apology. Hence the 1 star. People check you guys not just for your food offerings, but also for the experience.
