This has nothing to do with their food either you like it or you don't, I happen to like Jollibee chicken. But they just seem not to understand English enough to take your order. Every time I come here it takes repeating my order 10 times toget it through their thick skulls what I want. Today I wanted all spicy chicken. They asked how many pieces. What part of all is unclear?! Ten minutes at the speaker I finally ask for the manager, she tells me to pull up. Finally at the pickup window the manager takes my order. So I have determined that here every order of chicken comes with a side of high blood pressure. Oh and the chicken is never ready always a wait. Today's wait 15 minutes. Plus the 10 minutes to order equals the new fast food. read more

Since I'm from the mainland, I like to try local places and judge them on a kind of "would this place be worth it to try if I was on vacation since it's not in most other states and this might be my only opportunity?" scale. Unfortunately, this joint is like a step above prison food, step below school cafeteria food. I think that's the best way to describe my meal. I mean seriously my burger looked like a pre-packaged ready made frozen burger you'd just heat up in the microwave. And it kind of tasted like it too. On the positive the fries were good. But it's pretty hard to screw up fast food fries. Parking is atrocious. Some people suggest plaza parking but even that is terrible. Props to the drive-thru lady. She was really nice and polite. Two stars for the effort, but you know when you have fried chicken, spaghetti, and burgers all going on on the same menu then it's bound to probably not be that great. read more

I didn't actually visit this location or dine here, but my co-workers made a food run here and I've always wanted to try their fried chicken. I ordered the 2 piece fried chicken meal, which comes with 2 sides. I picked corn and mashed potatoes. With every chicken meal, you get an extra side of gravy, which was pretty nice. I'll say honestly, I was not impressed. The chicken's light, crispy skin and batter were crunchy and delicious, but the chicken itself was not my thing. Something was missing. There wasn't enough seasoning. Not sure where to put my finger on the problem. The corn was nice and buttery and the mashed potatoes were okay, but nothing special. I tried my co-workers spaghetti meal and it was pretty nasty to me. The sauce was too sweet to my liking and they used cut up hotdogs for the meat. Call me a food snob, but that's ghetto spaghetti. Since this opened in the old KFC in Kalihi on the corner of Dillingham Blvd. and N. King St. do yourself a favor and drive 4 blocks down Dillingham Blvd for some Popeyes. Now that's some good chicken and mashed potatoes! read more

So embarrassing! This is second time that I got wrong chicken. I always wanted Spicy Chicken, but it comes out regular one instead... I called this time because I really really craving spicy！！！ All I want is spicy powder, but they told me not giving it away anymore after long conversation with both stuff and manager. There is nothing can do. The stuff told me can exchange early, but the manager didn't offer me to, she said that the order wasn't spicy... so you mean it was my fault, I'm calling just for fun? I have to say it's part of my fault I didn't check, but so were you! Attitude is everything. Chicken is pretty good, but three stars? Think about it! read more

Best fried chicken and gravy ever! Skin is crispy, meat is tender and flavorful. Adobo rice is great too.

Parking: parking lot for the plaza Food: I don't know why people are complaining about the food, cause it's delicious. Jollibee is known for their fried chicken and spaghetti, so maybe try one of those dishes. Their fried chicken is super crispy and moist! I usually just get the fried chicken with mashed and corn, but sometimes I get the spaghetti too, which is good. I like that they add cheese. Service: every time I've been here I always get excellent customer service, whether it's through the drive thru or dining in. Atmosphere: very clean, they have a lot of staff and there is always someone wiping off tables etc. even the bathrooms are clean! read more

To long to make two chick sandwich. Must have to catch da chicken. But be worth da wait.

The place is small yet cute. The service is great plus the automatic number beeper they gave you so you don't need to look at the monitor and wait for your number to pop out. All you have to do is wait for that thing to light and vibrate while sitting and chatting with your friends, then your order is ready. Their fried chicken has a unique taste from all the fried chicken you can ever taste here in Hawaii. It's juicier and crunchier, that is what the ad would say and YES! That is not a false advertisement. Try it yourself! The gravy is awesome as well. Their spaghetti has Filipino touch, it's sweet. Their french fries needs more salt and more frying (i think) The best to get especially summer is HALO-HALO. You better go try one, simply just the ice cream nailed it, but to add up leche plan. That is the best. But i wish they put more fruits into it like how it really is in the Philippines. read more

You're gonna want to do takeout or drive-thru when you're craving Jollibee. During lunch hour, this place exceeds the maximum capacity posted on the wall. When you step in the restaurant you're greet with a loud atmosphere of crying kid - probably because the chicken is too hot and burnt their tongue or upper mouth (that's the worst!) I love Jollibee. It was a treat coming to one in Manila as kid. A real life Jollibee greets you, not a statue of one. I remember loving the pasghetti and shicken combo. read more

I've been wanting to try Jollibee for a while and never got around to it until today. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the standard two piece chickenjoy with fries as my side. Their fries are frickin GREAT. Shoestring cut, served piping hot and crispy. On a par with McDonald's, IMHO. What sets them apart is the side of gravy. I DIPPED THE FRIES IN GRAVY AND IT WAS GOOD! Mmmmm...fries and gravy... Now on to the chicken. It was good. Not overly seasoned, just the right amount of salty, not overly breaded either. Crispy skin and nice and juicy. Very satisfying. I'm definitely coming back again read more

I really think the employees here needs to have a better understanding of customer service, every time I visit this store the employees are always rude. Don't get me wrong the food is awesome but the costumer service is really bad. I work in a fast food restaurant before and I know it could suck sometimes as some of the customers impolite. But they need to understand not every customer are like that, employees should be more professional and be more friendly it just discouraging sometimes when I do get a bad service. read more

Had no choice but to go here again because it is close to where we are & once again.. asked for chicken thigh & received drumstick.. "itsy bitsy drumstick" barely had meat on it. Jolibee's chicken drumstick is the smallest drumstick i ever seen on this island. Told my bf if i could check it before we leave drive thru but he was too tired & was too excited to go home and rest so after receiving the food, while i was about to check it, he decided to go and drive off. I was even telling him on the whole trip home that if my food is not chicken thigh he'll see what's gonna happen. Lol. And tadaahhh. It's not. I never did call them anymore because i know what they'll tell me and i'm just going to be more pissed. I am so disappointed. read more

I've eaten here a few times and when served by the elderly women they seem to choose the very best looking pieces of fried chicken. Today, I was served by a young girl who gave me 2 thigh pieces about the same size as a drumstick. It looks almost like someone cut the thighs in half to get more pieces. The 2 star is for a terrible order because those two pieces are also dry. Next to the piece is the whole thigh from the bucket. read more

Terrible customer service. And when I mean terrible, I mean the type of service where I could just drive right out of the drive thru instead of paying. Now that I think of it, I should have. It's thanksgiving. Thank you for staying open, Jollibee's. We aren't the type to celebrate this day, bc we don't have family on the island w us. So we come here, it's the third year in a row. Today we pull up to the window and the girl is very incompetent. I'm sorry, but it's true. She couldn't hear us, then she goes silent on us, then she makes us repeat ourselves over and over again. At this point my other half is yelling already. She still doesn't hear us. There's silence on the other end again,... finally a new voice comes on and finishes up the order. Which we were already done at this point. I mean, Thank you! That helped, But you guys should have thought about that earlier. We get to the window and everything goes smoothly, except for when the manager decides to slam the window on us. Literally slammed it. Looked like she was scolding the worker who took our order. That's very shameful, if she was. Go to the back and scold her. Not in front of the customers. I'll continue to come back here. But please improve on your folks customer service skills. Be professional and take your issues to the back. P.S. Food is delicious. EDIT** the mashed tasted really sour covered in gravy !! I nearly felt sick to my stomach eating it. read more

Had Jollibee for the first time in Hong Kong. I had no idea we had them in Hawaii. I'm so happy! The food is good. It takes me back. I'm only disappointed they didn't have the same orange soda which I was led to believe was a Jollibee thing. But maybe it was a Hong Kong thing. I went through the drive through. She was kind, quick, and efficient. The wait was short to get to the window but once there I waited for a while. From what I saw, she had my bag packed but it was missing the fries and extra gravy. Needles to say, once I got my bag, the gravy and fries were super fresh and hot. She did had me my Pepsi right away. There was something wrong with it. I think the syrup was running out because there was a lot of carbonation and not a lot of flavor. She kindly swapped it out for pineapple juice. Definitely will be back! read more

It was good, but the only thing about it. It was greasy and kind of a bit salty. Their spaghetti was not so great, I don't like the hotdogs that were in there. Hotdog was sort of rubbery. The smell of fried chicken with some rice and coke sounded sinfully mouthwatering. I remember it like it was yesterday, when my father use to take us to the Jollibees in Philippines when we were little during a fun Sunday outing. It's amazing how the scent of Jollibees fried chicken still has the same nostalgic effect while chills going down my spine as I take a whiff after stepping foot inside any of their locations. It's pretty amazing how Jollibees have become a multinational chain of fast food restaurants. For those not familiar with the chain, this is Philippines version of McDonalds. The flagship has also acquired Red Ribbon among many others hence why you'll see a lot of the other Jollibees conjoined with the known bakery. I remember visiting a few of its locations in Mira Mesa, National City, LA and now Hawaii. Some may be a bit larger than others but I can certainly still appreciate the small locations like the one in Kalihi. Jollibee is located on the cornering streets of N. King St., and Dillingham Blvd. immediately next to the Jiffy Lube. This branch is great for take-out and also provides a drive through. The location gets a fair share of many busy hours where cars are lined at the drive through to the street; however, the operation is fast and precise. The seats are plenty with high tops, a few booths, and central tables. The menu is eclectic but not the average American fast food restaurant menu. Jollibees have come so far and have burgers, and fries while still keeping the Filipino tradition. Their Chickenjoy comes with 4 variety choices with a few pieces of fried chicken and a side. The sweet spaghetti is one of my favorites but this is a sweet taste instead of the typical marinara sauce. This is made with sweet catsup made from bananas, sugar, and vinegar. However, whenever I'm in the "University of Undecided" I always refer back to my roots and order their Pancit Palabok with a side of fried chicken and a drink. The Pancit Palabok is satisfying for fast food quality and their fried chicken is moist and crispy. For some with a bigger appetite, you might need to order a second item to be full. Occasionally Jollibee will have seasonal items like Sinigang (tamarind soup) and chicken long rice which is pretty awesome. Kids' meals are available for ordering as well as desserts. The menu is very inexpensive especially when ordering for a large family from their bucket size meals. Customer service is good and the people are helpful on the drive thru and eating in. Personally, I wouldn't want to come here at night by myself so I always bring a partner in crime with me. During busy times, it is difficult to find a seat, in result I've taken many meals on the go. Otherwise, I like coming here during decent hours for a quick Filipino fast food fix. I stopped at Jolibee yesterday and got a palabok with a one piece chicken joy. My husband got the spaghetti and chicken joy. When I started eating it, I had this weird feeling that the gravy tasted funny but I thought it was just the combination of the food plus the pineapple juice. Well, I was wrong - I threw up all the food later that afternoon and felt like I was going to die. Be advised that I did not eat anything else, I'm not with child and I just honestly wanted some noodles! Cameron didn't eat the gravy but I did, we both had chicken and he said he was fine - safe to assume that there was something wrong or off with the gravy. This isn't the first time I've had issues with this specific Jolibee and I hope that they see this and ensure that all temp requirements are being kept and hopefully I wasn't the only that got food poisoning that day. I would never write something so bad but I hate throwing up and also wasting money on food that I didn't even get to really eat :( read more
