I had great communications with Johnny when I originally booked a trip to the airport. Unfortunately my plans changed and I had to cancel the trip. I was very disappointed by the unprofessional response that I got directly from Johnny. To be fair, with all of the changes to my original travel plans causing chaos at home, I forgot to contact Johnny until the night before when he texted me with the name of the driver and pick up time. I take taxis regularly but needed transportation to my doctor's appointments where I could pay a less expensive rate instead of "metered taxi rates" since i have to travel some distance and quite frequently (which gets pretty expensive!) John was recommended by another taxi company that only does airport transfers, we needed to get to Pearl Harbour early and then be picked up in time to check out of our hotel at 12noon. We are in the UK and everything was done by email. The price was right so we took a risk. We have been using John Smith for about 6 months and wouldn't use anyone else. We tried using VIP and they were no shows forr a pick up (and shared van) so we gave up. We are so happy to have found Johnny Cab. Not only is John Smith reliable and a just plain nice guy but he has never ever let us down and always gets us where we need to go. I even left my passport in his cab on a recent trip to the airport. If I hadn't known him and had his contact info, I would never have made it to my flight. Go808Express couldn't pick us up at HNL, so they suggested Johnny. I set the pickup, but when I called after baggage claim, John said my schedule was for 1 month later. (I believe it to be a web page problem, John says no.) Still, he got a friend there in a few minutes and the guy (Peter, whose sister had played some bits and done the screaming for the original Hawaii 5-O) got there and took us to our hotel. It took 20 minutes to get to the airport Would use him again. Awesome experience using Johnny Cab. We decided to not rent a car when we spent a couple of days laying over in Honolulu. John provided us a ride to and from our Waikiki beach hotel. Flat rate was $30 for the three of us. Communication was easy as John is easily reached via text. Upon landing in Honolulu, I sent a text to let him know we were headed to baggage claim. He confirmed which area we were heading to. While en route, he sent me a text to let me know that our claim area had been changed and the correct one to go to. It was great that he was monitoring us! When we arrived to the claim area, John was waiting there to meet us. He was very friendly, personable, and professional. I sent him a text the day before we were to leave just to confirm our return transfer and pick up time and received a reply confirmation right away. After reading reviews here, tripadvisor.com and cruisecritic.com I looked on John's website. It was about 3 months before our trip so I sent him an email to find out when we should book. He responded quickly by email and said he would go ahead and book us then, but to confirm about a week before. When we arrived at the airport, I called him, and he said his driver should have called me and he would have him call asap. After ending my call with him I discovered I had 2 or 3 missed calls from the driver. Finally I talked to the driver and he was in the airport at baggage pickup, but was within a few minutes of our baggage pickup area. Anosh arrived a few minutes later in a private car and loaded our luggage and took us to our hotel with no problems. He unloaded our luggage when we arrived at the hotel. We asked if he would be picking us up on 4/5 for our trip from the hotel to the Pride of America cruise ship. He said he would confirm with John, and would let us know. He called early on 4/5 to confirm it would be him picking us up. He arrived at the hotel about 15 minutes early and we were waiting outside for him. Again he handled our luggage and drove us to the cruise ship terminal. Upon arrival we parked and had to cross 3 drop off lanes however, Anosh was very nice and took our luggage to the door for us. My elderly parents were returning to Oahu after a 3-month stay with me on the mainland, and they had a lot of heavy luggage. There was no way that their friend could pick up my parents and their luggage in a small car. An internet search came up with Johnny Cab. I liked what I read on Yelp, especially comments from customers with children. I called the day before the flight, and "John" asked me to text flight details. I also explained that my parents tend to be confused under stress, so to direct any questions to me by phone or text. John let me know that he would show up at baggage claim and help them retrieve the luggage. When my parents weren't at baggage claim after arrival, John called me. I explained that they were on wheelchairs and probably were slower than the rest. The next call I received was from my mother who said "Johnny" was a very nice man who even carried the luggage into the house!
