Came back a few years later and just as good as we remembered. Ordered at the counter and food brought out in 10 min. Love the garlic chicken and pork lumpia

We came here because it was close to our hotel in Kaanapali. Food was basic/ a little bit on the oily side but not bad. Service was order up at front the guy was very nice. Ambiance is the food court at Whalers Village. I probably wouldn't come here again as there was hair in my food. The nice guy that was working was very apologetic and refunded our whole breakfast.

Came here a tad before closing and decided to try out the loco mocos. The food was good, packed with overloaded amount of rice and not enough gravy. I doubt it was worth the $20 price tag but I overall enjoyed the meals.

Love the food here, fast service and very flavorful. We had the Mahi tacos today. Very good flavor, but they are a little spicy so bring some water to the feast.

Just wanted a light breakfast and decided to try this place out since it was near our resort. Surprisingly the best Loco Moco I've ever eaten. The flavor of the sauce was yummy and the eggs were cooked perfectly. My only complaint is the overcooked potatoes for my son's breakfast. The friendly service was lacking but whatever since I'm ordering takeout. Not much seating is available inside and there are a few outdoor tables.

Whole family came to this high end plaza for fast food, and we ended at this place. It locates at the mini food court, which has five different counters -- Maui poke, Italian food, American food, joey's kitchen and one more ( forgot the name) . We ended up with one four cheese pizza for the boy from the pizza station . And we got Pork Adobo plate and Loco-moco. For the loco moco lacks of the taste, no highlight in the plate-- good carb and portion for hungry stomach. For the Pork adobo plate, it is way too much salt for me, each bite pork need two or three spoons rice to neutralize the salty flavor. Portion wise is great. And the location is great for kids, next to a mini kid playground.

Located inside the dining hall downstairs! They opened a little earlier than 4pm. The guy there is working both the cashier and making the food in the back (I'm pretty sure, bc he is hustling from the front and back). He quickly took our order and answered any questions we had and rushed to the back to pump out the other orders. I'd say the food came out in a timely manner. We got the fish tacos ($20), the fish was beautifully seared/grilled & very fresh. The slaw was tossed in this delicious sauce! Perfect combo with the fish. We asked for the spicy sauce on the side. A bit too pricey for 3 fish tacos I'd say; but the food was very delicious. The indoor dining hall isn't too fancy. Looks a little run down, there's a few other shops in there, didn't look too packed either. However, it was a Monday early afternoon.

We ordered the adobo fried rice and loco moco. Portions are good for sharing, but we felt that the food overall was a bit too salty for our taste. Prices are a bit more budget-friendly than the other dine-in options at Whaler's Village.

Honestly Joey's Kitchen was one of my favorite highlights during my recent trip to Maui. It's a great, no-frills Hawaiian and Filipino spot in the food court area at Whaler's Village that is a warm-welcomed escape from the sit-down and touristy price-inflated restaurants. Plus it's indoors with air-conditioning but also has outdoor seats too. The garlic shrimp I had was incredible--so flavorful with just the right amount of garlic, lemon, and cilantro that I came back the next day and got the same thing. My friend also loved his dishes at the Joey's Kitchen too. The food here is homely and delicious. Again, given this is a no-frills spot, it's not a fair comparison like some of the other reviews are doing in my opinion to subconciously compare it to the more famous restaurants in the area. If you're already staying in this area and looking for a simple, quick, and flavorful bite--which is a rare find in this tourist resort area of the island--look no further than Joey's Kitchen!

Everything we tried was absolutely delicious! This Filipino fusion cuisine absolutely hits the spot and satisfies all your cravings. During our time in Maui, we couldn't resist buying their food every single day--it was that good! I enjoyed every dish we sampled, and honestly, I can't choose a favorite. Each one brought a unique twist that was both comforting and exciting. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend trying it out--you won't be disappointed!

We got food from here 3 days in a row while staying next door. The food was just so yummy. I had garlic chicken for dinner which I'm not sure what I expected but it was PHENOMENAL. Crispy chicken, covered in sauces and sides of rice and mac salad were a nice touch. Then we went back for breakfast and had their breakfast burrito. This thing is so fat the first day it took me over an hour to finish it and the next day I had half and then the other half for lunch.

Good pork burger and fries! Really appreciate the frys cooked in clean oil (some places you can tell use same oil for days). Wait time was less than 10 min after ordering. Lots of seating in the plaza.

Food was delish! Service was pretty fast. Inside the whalers food court so good amount of seats no or if you wanna eat on the beach. They are closing soon!

Kahlua pork plate was pretty bland. I've had better back home. Must be better options around.

Great fish and chips with a really tasty slaw. Sweet lady behind the counter. Fast and fresh. Very surprising for a food court!

Great authentic local Philipino, fresh fish and island fare. Prices are a nice relief and service could not be any friendlier or fast.

We ordered and the guy taking orders was super cool, great energy. Then the lady who was on drink duty was so incredibly rude it killed my vibe. We got a cold brew, a cola and a brewed coffee. I wasn't expecting the cold brew to have cream/milk in it so I politely said "Was this one the cold brew?" She snaps "No, that's the cold brew" and points to the cola. The she asks if my name is my name and says, "No that's the cola, that's the coffee and that's the so ono (cold brew)." So instead of simply confirming that I'm right, she killed my vibe on the whole experience. Foods good but fix the attitude of your employees or good food only gets you so far.

Don't panic, trust the process. The food is divine! Great portions and flavors. The chilaquiles with chorizo were a nice spicy. They do hit but they also have a nice chili flavor so it's not just heat. Loco moco was good. My only change would be to cook the patty a little more on the medium side rather than well done but none the less it was very good. French toast was amazing - no syrup needed!

Baby they put the "nom" in phenomenal!…read more The wait is ridiculous (line out the door). They need to expand but this review is in spite of that. The garlic shrimp dish?? So good! I smelled it before it was brought to the table! So succulent, so flavorful! Perfect combination with the rice and the salad and fruit! I haven't had anything on the island like this and I've been here a week! I had the pitaya smoothie and the taro bagel. Delicious and delicious. The taro bagel is also beautifully unique. I haven't seen anything like it yet which is weird because it tastes really good. Altogether, it was worth the wait and the hectic environment!

As someone who loves super sweet coffee drinks, I was surprised by just how sweet the drinks here…read morewere. Even for my taste, they were almost overwhelmingly sugary, to the point where I could barely taste the actual coffee. I don't mind a sweeter drink, but I still want to be able to taste the espresso and have some balance between the coffee and the other flavors. The frozen mocha was probably the best example of this. It tasted more like a chocolate milkshake than a coffee drink. It was rich, chocolatey, and definitely delicious if you're in the mood for something sweet, but I could barely taste any coffee in it. I'd consider getting it again as more of a dessert or sweet treat, but definitely not when I'm looking for a caffeine fix. I would have liked a stronger coffee flavor to balance out all the chocolate and sugar. The island latte was again very sweet, I liked the syrups they used but i wish there was a stronger coffee taste. Prices were also on the expensive side, almost $20 for 2 drinks. Parking was another downside, as it was pretty difficult to find a spot nearby. Overall, I'd say this place is better suited for people who enjoy dessert-like coffee drinks rather than those who want a good balance of sweetness and coffee flavor. If you have a serious sweet tooth, you might enjoy it, but even as someone who loves sweet coffee, these drinks were a little too much for me.

Want the luau food experience without paying for the actual luau show? This is a great option!…read more It's an outdoor restaurant, so definitely dress accordingly. If it's drizzling outside, you can bet you'll probably be drizzled on while eating your meal too! But the setting is beautiful, especially if you get a table around sunset--you can watch the sunset right from your seat. There are plenty of food options to choose from, along with lots of drink options. The restaurant sits right next to Old Lahaina Luau, so if you make a dinner reservation around luau time, you can even hear the luau going on next door. They had traditional Hawaiian food such as poi, lau lau, kalua, etc. Service was good as well. Overall, a fun way to enjoy some of the food and atmosphere without paying for the full luau experience!

Disappointing Experience - Overpriced for the Quality…read more I haven't been to Aloha Mixed Plate in years, and I was really looking forward to coming back. My family and I visit their sister restaurant, Star Noodle, quite often, so I was expecting the same level of quality. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. We visited today at 1:15 PM, and I have to say I left pretty disappointed. The shoyu chicken was dry, and the overall food quality just didn't match the price. For a family of five, our bill came out to $178, including soft drinks. That's a lot of money for a casual plate lunch experience. What was also disappointing was being told by our server that they do not offer a kamaʻāina discount. As a local, it's always nice when businesses recognize and support the community that supports them. I understand we live in a tourist destination, but the prices should still reflect the quality of the food and overall experience. Unfortunately, Aloha Mixed Plate felt more like an overpriced tourist spot than the local favorite I remembered. At these prices, I honestly wouldn't even recommend it to visitors. My recommendation? Save your money and head to Star Noodle instead. We go there often, and the quality and experience have been much more consistent. I really wanted to enjoy coming back, but sadly, this visit was a letdown. 3 stars.
