We came here because it was close to our hotel in Kaanapali. Food was basic/ a little bit on the oily side but not bad. Service was order up at front the guy was very nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is the food court at Whalers Village.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I probably wouldn't come here again as there was hair in my food. The nice guy that was working was very apologetic and refunded our whole breakfast.

Came here a tad before closing and decided to try out the loco mocos. The food was good, packed with overloaded amount of rice and not enough gravy. I doubt it was worth the $20 price tag but I overall enjoyed the meals.

Love the food here, fast service and very flavorful. We had the Mahi tacos today. Very good flavor, but they are a little spicy so bring some water to the feast.

Just wanted a light breakfast and decided to try this place out since it was near our resort. Surprisingly the best Loco Moco I've ever eaten. The flavor of the sauce was yummy and the eggs were cooked perfectly. My only complaint is the overcooked potatoes for my son's breakfast. The friendly service was lacking but whatever since I'm ordering takeout. Not much seating is available inside and there are a few outdoor tables.

Whole family came to this high end plaza for fast food, and we ended at this place. It locates at the mini food court, which has five different counters -- Maui poke, Italian food, American food, joey's kitchen and one more ( forgot the name) . We ended up with one four cheese pizza for the boy from the pizza station . And we got Pork Adobo plate and Loco-moco. For the loco moco lacks of the taste, no highlight in the plate-- good carb and portion for hungry stomach. For the Pork adobo plate, it is way too much salt for me, each bite pork need two or three spoons rice to neutralize the salty flavor. Portion wise is great. And the location is great for kids, next to a mini kid playground.

Located inside the dining hall downstairs! They opened a little earlier than 4pm. The guy there is working both the cashier and making the food in the back (I'm pretty sure, bc he is hustling from the front and back). He quickly took our order and answered any questions we had and rushed to the back to pump out the other orders. I'd say the food came out in a timely manner. We got the fish tacos ($20), the fish was beautifully seared/grilled & very fresh. The slaw was tossed in this delicious sauce! Perfect combo with the fish. We asked for the spicy sauce on the side. A bit too pricey for 3 fish tacos I'd say; but the food was very delicious. The indoor dining hall isn't too fancy. Looks a little run down, there's a few other shops in there, didn't look too packed either. However, it was a Monday early afternoon.

We got food from here 3 days in a row while staying next door. The food was just so yummy. I had garlic chicken for dinner which I'm not sure what I expected but it was PHENOMENAL. Crispy chicken, covered in sauces and sides of rice and mac salad were a nice touch. Then we went back for breakfast and had their breakfast burrito. This thing is so fat the first day it took me over an hour to finish it and the next day I had half and then the other half for lunch.

Everything we tried was absolutely delicious! This Filipino fusion cuisine absolutely hits the spot and satisfies all your cravings. During our time in Maui, we couldn't resist buying their food every single day--it was that good! I enjoyed every dish we sampled, and honestly, I can't choose a favorite. Each one brought a unique twist that was both comforting and exciting. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend trying it out--you won't be disappointed!

We ordered the adobo fried rice and loco moco. Portions are good for sharing, but we felt that the food overall was a bit too salty for our taste. Prices are a bit more budget-friendly than the other dine-in options at Whaler's Village.

Good pork burger and fries! Really appreciate the frys cooked in clean oil (some places you can tell use same oil for days). Wait time was less than 10 min after ordering. Lots of seating in the plaza.

Honestly Joey's Kitchen was one of my favorite highlights during my recent trip to Maui. It's a great, no-frills Hawaiian and Filipino spot in the food court area at Whaler's Village that is a warm-welcomed escape from the sit-down and touristy price-inflated restaurants. Plus it's indoors with air-conditioning but also has outdoor seats too. The garlic shrimp I had was incredible--so flavorful with just the right amount of garlic, lemon, and cilantro that I came back the next day and got the same thing. My friend also loved his dishes at the Joey's Kitchen too. The food here is homely and delicious. Again, given this is a no-frills spot, it's not a fair comparison like some of the other reviews are doing in my opinion to subconciously compare it to the more famous restaurants in the area. If you're already staying in this area and looking for a simple, quick, and flavorful bite--which is a rare find in this tourist resort area of the island--look no further than Joey's Kitchen!

However, our recent visit on a date night was far from satisfactory. We made a reservation on OpenTable, but the only available time was 8:45 PM. We arrived promptly at 8:40 PM and waited for 25 minutes before being seated at 9:05 PM. Our table was located at the far end, closest to the old Lahaina luau. Unfortunately, our waiter's demeanor was unfriendly, and we felt rushed, especially considering it was nearing the end of the evening. Despite the initial disappointment, we were eager to try the diverse Asian fusion menu. One dish that caught our attention was "Hapa Ramen," which I ordered due to my hapa heritage. Unfortunately, I gave it a 2/5 rating. The broth lacked flavor, appearing bland and lacking in taste. The noodles were also hard and thicker than usual. The pork was flavorless, and I personally make better ramen. The garlic noodles, recommended by the server, were hard, dry, and salty. (Rating: 3/5) The adobo ribs were satisfactory (Rating: 4/5). The white butterfish was soft, flaky, and delicious (Rating: 4/5). The sweet sake was enjoyable (Rating: 4/5). Overall, our experience at Star Noodle was disappointing. The customer service was subpar, and the quality of the food did not justify the high price. In hindsight, I would have preferred to dine at Joey's Kitchen. In conclusion, Star Noodle is not a restaurant I would recommend. I regret our visit and hope to avoid it in the future. So sad to end our trip on a bad review :(

Great chile crunch and fried garlic sauce to make the eggplant incredibly delicious!!! Panko Mahi - standard breaded mahi, nothing special for me to want more of this. It was also a little dry in my opinion. Fatt Chow Fun - Super FAT. I'm not used to this but it did the job. The noodles were 1/8" thick, rectangular cut 1"x2" pieces. I would have liked the meat to match the heft of the noodles. Cheeseburger Saimin - I didn't taste either but the kids whacked 'em. I'm guessing it was good! Kalbi - this hit the spot! The ribs were a good thick cut. The marinade was a tad salty but the rice totally balanced it out. Churro Mochi Munchkins - this reminded me of mix between andagi and poi donuts. Super good, the cream cheese dip was delicious with the donuts. Sweet Corn Mousse - corn mousse over taro paste on cookie crust. I wanted more corn flavor and a nice sour cream/corn drizzle would have made it really good for me. There's expanded parking across the street in a dirt lot.
