Honestly I'd give this a 4.8. I love just about anything Cesar. And so I love Cesar wraps. So I've passed by this so many times, so I stopped in for first time today. The place is just your good ol' old school deli from the chairs to the tables to the family pictures on the glass. Warm family staff. And that is what makes you know what a real deli is. Got the tonems which is a chicken parm with vodka sauce on garlic bread, it was amazing, the chicken was so tender and moist, usually fried chicken patties end up dry but man this place did amaze to keep good. The garlic bread itself was crunchy and soft, just the right amount and the vodka sauce was great and glad the bread was drowned in the sauce. My suggestion, go to one of the other pizza shops in the area. Our Second bad experience. Complete chaos, and unprofessional. Staff was disorganized. Phone was ringing off the hook, unanswered. Taking customers out of order. Ignoring customers waiting to be addressed. Yelling between staff while customers are waiting. Kitchen was a mess. Surprised they can get anything done. Dining area was a mess. All on a Tuesday! On top of it all, our order was shorted the garlic knots... Partly my fault I should have looked in the box. Also the stromboli was undercooked, and was supplied with ALMOST enough sauce but not quite. By the time I realized we were missing the order I was already at home, and decided it wasn't worth the return trip, besides I would get to enjoy a cold; or reheated supper after all would be said and done. Moreover, I got the feeling it wouldn't have helped. My mood by then, nor my impression. We had tried them before, and were less than impressed then. But in the name of supporting a local fundraiser, gave them another shot. They Missed! I should have given the fundraiser the cash. I'm convinced the group raising funds didn't get any of the proceeds from the shorted order. There are at least 7 other places within a mile or so. Use any of them. I will be. I normally only post positive reviews, as I really like to let people know of mi best experiences, but this was bad on so many lent is I felt compelled to warn others. I used to get a grilled chicken Caesar salads from here about two-three years ago. They were close to my mom's house and They were sooo good. My staff and i Ordered sandwiches from this place which normally i have no problem with. on this occasion i was utterly disappointed with the response from the SANDWICH MAKER ZEUS. i called back with a totally reasonable complaint that 2 of the 5 sandwiches were incorrect , one of which had to do with an allergy. I'm disappointed with how the situation was handled and I'm obviously I'm disappointed in Zeus. He is a grown man who made a mistake and acted like a child. I don't live in Orange County so it's hard for me to stop by unless I've got appointments there. Today I brought home parm sandwiches for lunch with my wife and daughter. A chicken, an eggplant and a meatball. They were fantastic and despite the ride home across the bridge, the insides stayed hot and the rolls stayed crispy. This place is the gold standard for pizza in the Hudson Valley. It always brings me back to being a high schooler and coming here when we were more baked than the crust. Garlic knots if you're eating in. They are the best around! However, my chicken parm experience was the worse. Joes cuts it up in small pieces that were more drier than a Milk Bone. Very stringy and unbearable. I had no other choice but to toss it. When I called they said that they said that they could only make note of my complaint and credit my next order since I paid with a credit card. Living in Newburgh, you have a lot of pizza options and when I first moved we tried a handful of places. Joe's Pizza seems to be the winner in our house! Consistently great pizza at a reasonable price. The only reason I can't give them 5 stars is because there's been some errors in the past. You will find joes pizza. The location is not the biggest. There are maybe 6 tables inside. Most of the business is customers picking up. Joes does deliver. 95% of the time you will get Mike the delivery guy. I travel a lot. When I land joes is my go to. Last week I landed at Stewart from Vegas. First thing I did was call joes and order food. Then when I arrived to pick up we had a 5 min conversation about Vegas. The food at joes is American Italian deli style with a twist. Joes is defiantly known for there pizza. Like I said before the pizza is my fav. For the deli side They use only boars head cold cuts. There sandwiches are very good. The bread tho... omg amazing. Joes also has a drink fountain with drink options. They also have multiple fridges with bottles drinks. Excluding beer. Yes you can buy beer cans or bottles at joes. Sometimes there is inconsistencies . But every business has hit or miss days. Usually I just call or I go there next day and talk to Mikey about it and it gets resolved. Overall. I wouldn't recommend. I use to love going to Joe's Pizza until we were treated in such a disgusting manner. They even have a 12 year old girl working there with a nasty attitude that she got my order wrong. When I called because I got the wrong order he didn't even allow me to speak he just hung up on me.
