This is one of our favorite breweries in the Hudson Valley. We love to meet friends here for a good beer and a good time. It may sound cheesy but it describes exactly the atmosphere of this place, a good time full of friendly people. It's a 2 two story building with plenty of seating. I have been here many a time where the upstairs is rented out for a private event. They also have two outside decks full of tables and chairs which is perfect to sit at when the weather is nice. And trust me when the weather is nice this place is packed!!!! The food here is delicious. In the warmer months they have a pizza food truck that comes. The pizza is sooo good my favorite is one they sell that has a white sauce on it instead of marinara it is delicious. The brewery itself makes small bites and has a few sandwiches that come with a bag of potato chips. They are also good. Last time we came our friends got the meatball sub and it was huge!!! They said it was amazing. They have a great selection of beers including IPAs, Stouts, Sours, and Ciders. I will say this brewery is what kindled my love for Sour beers. They have one that tastes like a red Starburst, so yummy! They also have non alcoholic beer and spirits on their menu. The staff is also friendly. I have seen them frazzled a time or two when it's really busy which is understandable. All in all it's good service both bar tenders and other staff that is working hard cleaning up tables ams sweeping to make sure the tables are ready for the next round of people. Also to note this is not table service. You go to the bar and order your food and either pay there or open a tab. They then bring out your food to you. You can also get beers to take home and other merchandise such as shirts, jackets, and some packaged food items. It very family friendly! Every time I come I see tons of families here, which is nice. Oh and the last thing to note the bathrooms are always clean!!! Which is something I really appreciate about any place that is serving food and drinks. read more

Really nice brewery! Leans heavily towards sours, some IPAs. I actually enjoyed the black lager, cider, and blended wine - all were wonderful. The outdoor patio is gorgeous, so lush and green all around, great big umbrellas to shield from the sun. You order inside but staff come around to pick up empty glasses, so overall it's very comfortable. I highly recommend this place. read more

Hudson Valley awaits at the end of Beacon's Main Street, a fitting finale to a day spent ducking in and out of shops. Its wide open spaces and available sitting is a welcome sight for sore feet. Its diverse array of drinks, from wines to beers to sours, will quench any type of thirst. My drink of choice are their sours, and as someone who previously did not like these kinds of drinks, I was thoroughly converted. Perfect for people who don't like beers, their sours are berry-forward with a tartness that cuts through the sweet flavors. It's so good, I even lugged a six-pack home all the way to the train and back to the city! You simply cannot visit Hudson Valley Brewery without trying their pizza. It's one of my favorites. Cooked in an outdoor brick oven, their pizzas are charred to perfection; their crust thin yet provides a satisfying substantial bite; and their pie topped with ooey gooey cheese. Although I don't doubt that anything you order will be delicious, I have tried their sausage and pepper pizza, as well as their margherita, and can attest to how delicious they are. Stopped by Hudson Valley Brewery during a day trip to Beacon after hiking. This place definitely draws a crowd indoors and outdoors! When we arrived, there were people everywhere and a massive queue to order. It didn't take too long to get to the front as there were multiple team members with POS systems taking orders at the bar and there was a worker by the line asking if we had any questions before ordering. I got myself the blueberry cider and it was super sour! Not my personal fave, but I really loved the vibes of this place. So I haven't been here in forever but my husband and I stopped in to get out of the cold and enjoy a pour or two and wow, the renovations they've done since we were there last are beautiful! A lovely wood interior full of plants, a nice long bar, and lots of seating, Too cold for the patio when we were there, but it looks great. Beer was as incredible as ever. My husband loved his Pilsner and I had a great sour farmhouse ale. They have a pizza vendor on site, but we didn't eat. They looked good from afar though! Great accessibility. There's a steeper paved path to the tasting room from the lower parking area, but there is also a ramp around the other side of the building as well if you need it. They have multiple gender neutral single restrooms and a nice big family/accessible restroom complete with an easy to open soft close door. They also have an elevator!! A very welcome addition to a space that helps everyone enjoy it. read more

A great place for relaxing with a nice cold beer and some pizza! The tap room is super spacious and the seats are first come, first serve. There is also an outdoor patio and tons of outdoor tables. There are tons of options for beers and the menu rotates but featured lots of local beers. There is a dining menu, but there is also a 3rd party pizza truck outside while the pizza ovens are getting renovated. The pizzas are great - wood fired and thin! read more

Hudson Valley Brewery is a craft brewery that opened in Beacon, New York in February 2017. It was founded by John-Anthony Gargiulo and brewers Michael Renganeschi and Jason Synan. Gargiulo had spent several years working in the film industry in Los Angeles. Although he had worked as a dolly grip on some major films, and was on track for a promotion to key grip, he suddenly decided to give up his Hollywood career. The grind of the film industry had finally taken its toll on him. Gargiulo moved back in with his parents in the Hudson Valley and came up with an idea to start his own garage brewery. He eventually formed a partnership with Renganeschi and Synan who had brewed at the Brewery at Bacchus in New Paltz. The trio acquired an old factory building in Beacon that was in pretty bad shape. They gutted the whole place and got to work on setting up a brewery. When the brewery finally opened, they brewed a variety of different styles. However, it was their Sour IPAs that caused long lines to form outside on Saturday mornings. Today, Hudson Valley Brewery has earned a reputation for being not just one of the best breweries in the Hudson Valley but one of the best in the Northeast. I recently stopped at Hudson Valley Brewery while I was passing through the Hudson Valley. I had heard great things about them and I thought that I would stop there for dinner. The location in downtown Beacon is very charming. When I arrived, the place was packed. Their parking lot was completely filled, but fortunately I was able to finding street parking nearby. The brewery was beautiful and had plenty of seating inside and outside. I grabbed a seat inside and started off with short pours of "Giant Steps Backwards" (English-style Amber Ale; collab with Root + Branch Brewing & The Veil Brewing) and "Triple Pillow Hat" (Triple IPA). Both beers knocked my socks off! For food, I ordered the "Burrata & Blood Orange Salad" (fresh burrata with fennel, frisée, blood orange, pomegranate, hot honey and pistachio, dressed with Valley Beer lemon-saison vinaigrette). It was out of this world! Afterwards I had a delicious plate of "White Peach Gelato" (topped with sour amarena cherries in syrup and almond brittle) which I paired with short pours of "Pineapple Peach Glycerin" (Double Fruit Sour Double IPA) and "Valley Beer Vintage 2023: Cherry" (Wine Barrel-Aged Sour Farmhouse Ale). Again, my tastebuds went on a roller coaster ride. Hudson Valley Brewery didn't just meet my expectations... it surpassed them! A lovely brewery a short train ride outside of Manhattan -- they have a lovely outdoor patio that's easily accessible from the Beacon trailhead. We stopped by after hiking and it was a lovely way to end the day. They have a great selection of beers, wines and other drinks -- there's something for everyone. They have small bites and pizza too, all of the pies were fire. I'm obsessed with the branding and merch -- it's all done by Evan Cohen, who's one of my favorite artists! Steve and myself recently enjoyed a pale lager from Hudson Valley Brewery. It was a good beer experience to be sure and we both love lagers and the one we had didn't disappoint us in the slightest. The beer we enjoyed was the Windrow. With flavors of grassy, piney, minty along with a cereal and oatmeal aspects this lager blended all of those features together to make for a very pleasant lager to drink. It kind of had an herbal presence which I liked to have playing about on my taste buds. Nice first time beer with this brewery and hope to have other selections of theirs in the future. read more

When I see IPAs, I stay away. So when I saw the menu consisted of this as it's main beer focus I was a little bit anxious about finding something I'd like. However, there are a plethora of sour ipa options here which I found myself enjoying, so much so that I ended up trying about 6 different 4 oz pours. On a Monday evening, the brewery was rather quiet. It seemed to be warmed up by mostly regulars who were enjoying the patio area, which is rather vast. We opted to stay inside in order to avoid the breeze. The space reminds me of a midcentury modern style cafe. Bright, airy, with lots of plants to create a light and herbacious and modern atmosphere. The plants were well cared for, which was so nice! It felt lush along with their more modern style merch. You can tell the graphic designer here gets the vibe. It was both eclectic but digestible and granola at the same time--a little like Odesza! All the staff were warm and friendly. I really loved the space, the affordability, and the overall vibe. Impeccable all around. I'll definitely take my friends out here whenever I get the chance. It's nice that it's a little more secluded down the Main St. area as well so you can feel like you're getting away into a little tucked away area. read more

Wanted to see the falls, and this popped up as a good place to meet for the walk. Went inside and first impression: LOUD LOUD LOUD Anyway, besides that, they have a good selection of Hudson Valley Beers on tap, as well as assorted other liquors of choice. Despite the crush of people inside, including plenty of kids, service was fast and friendly, and the tenders took the time to answer questions. As far as the kids go, there were a few toys around I think, plus a shelf of things for sale that the kids kept picking up and shuffling around. No one at the bar paid any mind to that. Back to LOUD. There's a spacious downstairs room, a slightly smaller but relatively similar upstairs room, and then outside patio. All were filled with jolly talking. I was surprised, but I was there on a sunny warm summer Saturday, so sure, plenty enjoying that together. Oh, as for the beer itself? Pretty good. I think the only food they have was on the shelf where the kids were playing with it. I'm sure they'd get it for you if you were sitting upstairs or outside and wanted a bite, but it's not a restaurant. I had two beers, the first one had a bit much of a head on it but the porter was poured super-slow and smooth to make up for it. Verdict: A good stop on your way through the area. read more

We split a lobster roll which was a good size and delicious! One of the best we've had and it had apples in it (take my word for it and just get it) They did not offer flights but small 4 oz. pours let us try a few things. Loved the blueberry sour beer so much we bought some to take home. 10 out of 10 experience and we will look forward to stopping there again. The pizza is very good n fresh. They have a great variety of fun beers. They also have outdoor n indoor section. This brewery has such a laidback chill vibe. It is at the town of Beacon. I tried the 4 ounces/ 8 ounces $4-8 beer (each) tastings.. each of the beers were so unique and special in taste. The brick oven pizza was really good nice and hot and fresh There is parking right outside and clean washrooms to use inside the brewery. There is a beautiful stream on the opposite side of the brewery that led us to the Fishkill falls. Overall, I highly recommend the vibe and tastings offered by the Hudson valley brewery. read more

HVB is a modern establishment that offers some darn good sours and beers of course. My first time trying sours and I was blown away. They were so good. Seating is plenty with nice wooden tables and seats. We sampled 2 sours and 1 beer. We loved it. I am going to review the restroom here, yeah it is worth mentioning. There are 4 unisex restrooms in pristine condition like the ones you find in really really good hotels. Even the TP was of premium quality. Hudson Valley Brewery is the birthplace of my appreciation for sour beers. It all began about 4 years ago when I was really unsure. I really love that they offer 4oz tap pours so you can try a bunch of different types. I can't remember what I've gotten in the past but this time around I did the blossom, silhouette: peace, silhouette: orangescile, and a non-sour IPA I believe it was called sky top. I now know why this place has 5 stars ! Every beer is so delicious and I was particularly excited for all the IPAs. Their sours are also great! The prices are cheap which was a steal. Also their tacos are amazing ! I got the chicken. They usually have pizza but the weekend we went they had an oyster truck so I didn't get to try. Will be back! What a very special place with such nice staff. The pizzas here are also really great! The beer selection is great. Large parking lot and some outdoor seating. When I went during a weekday, the brewery didn't have heaters outside. It may be different on the weekends not sure. We took a mini road trip to Beacon this past summer and to my delight, I learned that it is the home to Hudson Valley Brewery upon our arrival. This is a really fun brewery with some fantastic beer. I wouldn't so much quantify this as a brewery you go to with a bunch of buddies to watch a game. Think more of a date spot with your girl or a visit with the family. All of the beer was delicious. the servers were friendly, and the wood fired pizza on site was the icing on the cake. We're not deep into beer, probably drink it every so often but I like that our tour guide took us here to show us a different variation of beer we can enjoy. The sours, ipa, and lager beer they create here do cater more towards hipsters, things are sold out quickly, but worth a try. Pink Guava and Red Currant- 8% double fruit sour DIPA. Pink guava, red currant, milk sugar, mosaic. They described it as drinking a liquid pink starburst and it tastes exactly like it. Tasty and sweet for a sour! Boysenberry- 8% double fruit sour DIPA. Boysenberry, milk sugar, El Dorado. Has a smooth sourness to it with a subtle tangy bite. Very good too!
