I really can't say enough good things. Finally a brewery that loves and respects sours. Some of the best beer I've ever had. Not only do they taste and look amazing, but they smell great too! Service was very kind, not pushy or pompous like you see at some breweries.

Very beautiful brewery with a lot of space inside and out. They offer many IPAs. But there is something for everybody on the draft menu. The price is really decent and the beer was refreshing. If you're deciding to do a beer walk, you can start at this brewery and work your way up back towards the train station in Beacon .

Stopped by Hudson Valley Brewery during a day trip to Beacon after hiking. This place definitely draws a crowd indoors and outdoors! When we arrived, there were people everywhere and a massive queue to order. It didn't take too long to get to the front as there were multiple team members with POS systems taking orders at the bar and there was a worker by the line asking if we had any questions before ordering. I got myself the blueberry cider and it was super sour! Not my personal fave, but I really loved the vibes of this place. Super cute, warm lighting, and tons of seating types (couches, arm chairs, tables, etc.) Would come back again and try a different drink!

Delicious sample of cider, thank you! Dnjoyed a full pint of milk stout and it was delicious and even light for this type. The location and landscape is gorgeous. Thanks to a local and 'regular' at the Brewery, Barry, who was so friendly and treated me! Just a great place, look forward to return to eat with friends.

So I haven't been here in forever but my husband and I stopped in to get out of the cold and enjoy a pour or two and wow, the renovations they've done since we were there last are beautiful! A lovely wood interior full of plants, a nice long bar, and lots of seating, Too cold for the patio when we were there, but it looks great. Beer was as incredible as ever. My husband loved his Pilsner and I had a great sour farmhouse ale. They have a pizza vendor on site, but we didn't eat. They looked good from afar though! Great accessibility. There's a steeper paved path to the tasting room from the lower parking area, but there is also a ramp around the other side of the building as well if you need it. They have multiple gender neutral single restrooms and a nice big family/accessible restroom complete with an easy to open soft close door. They also have an elevator!! A very welcome addition to a space that helps everyone enjoy it.

A great place for relaxing with a nice cold beer and some pizza! The tap room is super spacious and the seats are first come, first serve. There is also an outdoor patio and tons of outdoor tables. There are tons of options for beers and the menu rotates but featured lots of local beers. There is a dining menu, but there is also a 3rd party pizza truck outside while the pizza ovens are getting renovated. The pizzas are great - wood fired and thin!

Hudson Valley Brewery is a craft brewery that opened in Beacon, New York in February 2017. It was founded by John-Anthony Gargiulo and brewers Michael Renganeschi and Jason Synan. Gargiulo had spent several years working in the film industry in Los Angeles. Although he had worked as a dolly grip on some major films, and was on track for a promotion to key grip, he suddenly decided to give up his Hollywood career. The grind of the film industry had finally taken its toll on him. Gargiulo moved back in with his parents in the Hudson Valley and came up with an idea to start his own garage brewery. He eventually formed a partnership with Renganeschi and Synan who had brewed at the Brewery at Bacchus in New Paltz. The trio acquired an old factory building in Beacon that was in pretty bad shape. They gutted the whole place and got to work on setting up a brewery. When the brewery finally opened, they brewed a variety of different styles. However, it was their Sour IPAs that caused long lines to form outside on Saturday mornings. Today, Hudson Valley Brewery has earned a reputation for being not just one of the best breweries in the Hudson Valley but one of the best in the Northeast. I recently stopped at Hudson Valley Brewery while I was passing through the Hudson Valley. I had heard great things about them and I thought that I would stop there for dinner. The location in downtown Beacon is very charming. When I arrived, the place was packed. Their parking lot was completely filled, but fortunately I was able to finding street parking nearby. The brewery was beautiful and had plenty of seating inside and outside. I grabbed a seat inside and started off with short pours of "Giant Steps Backwards" (English-style Amber Ale; collab with Root + Branch Brewing & The Veil Brewing) and "Triple Pillow Hat" (Triple IPA). Both beers knocked my socks off! For food, I ordered the "Burrata & Blood Orange Salad" (fresh burrata with fennel, frisée, blood orange, pomegranate, hot honey and pistachio, dressed with Valley Beer lemon-saison vinaigrette). It was out of this world! Afterwards I had a delicious plate of "White Peach Gelato" (topped with sour amarena cherries in syrup and almond brittle) which I paired with short pours of "Pineapple Peach Glycerin" (Double Fruit Sour Double IPA) and "Valley Beer Vintage 2023: Cherry" (Wine Barrel-Aged Sour Farmhouse Ale). Again, my tastebuds went on a roller coaster ride. Hudson Valley Brewery didn't just meet my expectations... it surpassed them! I think they are easily on of the best breweries in the Northeast and I can't wait to return!

A lovely brewery a short train ride outside of Manhattan -- they have a lovely outdoor patio that's easily accessible from the Beacon trailhead. We stopped by after hiking and it was a lovely way to end the day. They have a great selection of beers, wines and other drinks -- there's something for everyone. They have small bites and pizza too, all of the pies were fire. I'm obsessed with the branding and merch -- it's all done by Evan Cohen, who's one of my favorite artists! I'll definitely be back!

Was fortunate to visit this brewery in Beacon over the past weekend. Found it to be friendly, fun with delicious food and drink. The outside patio was where the real action was as friends both new and old gathered and enjoyed their pizzas, beer, cider and each other's company. Will definitely visit again.!

This is a lovely spot to hangout and have drinks. Somewhat long wait line to get drinks and food at peak hours. The pizza is great. The drinks were good. I had the pastel cider and enjoyed it. Clean bathrooms which is always a plus at these places.

Enjoyed very much the Windrow Pale Lager!
    Alden C.

Steve and myself recently enjoyed a pale lager from Hudson Valley Brewery. It was a good beer experience to be sure and we both love lagers and the one we had didn't disappoint us in the slightest. The beer we enjoyed was the Windrow. With flavors of grassy, piney, minty along with a cereal and oatmeal aspects this lager blended all of those features together to make for a very pleasant lager to drink. It kind of had an herbal presence which I liked to have playing about on my taste buds. Nice first time beer with this brewery and hope to have other selections of theirs in the future.

A real bourbon aficianado friend of mine from out of town, after tasting it, looked at me shocked and wanted to know where the heck it came from!!! Also, the Friday Happy Hour at Denning's is a real treat. The prices are very, very Happy Hour-esque and even if you hang for a while after you're not going to get murdered like you would other places in town. Alana (their amazing bartender) mixes great drinks, all featuring Denning's booze. Amy, the hostess (who mans the tasting room) is as welcoming and nice as they come. The room has its charms! It is a distillery, not a super high style bar though. So set your expectations accordingly. But I am a big fan and you will find me here with regularity as I roam the streets of town. Worth a quick detour off Main if you are an out of towner for sure.

First, the bartender was so lovely! I don't drink so I was truly impressed with the number of non-alcoholic beverage options available. I initially ordered a non-alcoholic drink, but then I saw the Shark Attack Mocktail and asked if I could switch to that. Thankfully I caught her right before she started making the first drink! The mocktail was sooo cute and actually really tasty! (See photo I included). I loved the theme of it, especially as summertime is officially here. Now let's talk about the arcade part of this place! The machines take quarters, so use the ones you have in your pocket! No quarters? No problem! They have a machine that will give you them, however it only accepts $1 and $5 bills. No cash? Also not a problem! They have an ATM on site. They really did think of everything, here! Most of the games are old skool, such as Pac-Man, Pinball, Dance Dance Revolution, etc. They also have a claw machine, however it's rigged so don't waste your time or quarters on it (which is exactly what I did, hahah!). Pac-Man is two players and my husband and I had a lot of fun with that one! I also LOVED Dance Dance Revolution (located in the far left corner in the back, behind the bar area) and wish I had found it before I wasted most of our quarters. Most of the games take anywhere from $0.50 to $1 to play, so keep that in mind. The patio is very large and much quieter compared to inside. I loved the atmosphere with all the string lights! They also have two little seating areas that are gated (which kind of look like adult playhouses?) which I think would be an awesome spot to chill with your friends + your dog. No fear of your pup running off! Regarding food: they do have a small menu, however it's mostly snack items like mozzarella sticks, a giant pretzel, things to that nature. What's cool, though, is that they offer vegan chicken nuggets!! Not a lot of bars have these, so it's definitely worth noting. 11/10 recommend that you stop in here while visiting Beacon! We absolutely loved it and would come back in a heartbeat!

It was founded by husband and wife Johnny Coughlin and Alyssa Follansbee. Coughlin is a cinematographer by trade while Follansbee is a public school art teacher. In 2011, the couple were both living in the Wicker Park area of Chicago. When the Emporium Arcade bar opened in their neighborhood, they both fell in love with the concept of an arcade bar. They later moved to New York City and visited as many arcade bars as they could with the intent to one day open one of their own. By 2018, the couple relocated upstate to Beacon to start a family. It dawned on them that Beacon would be a great location to open a "barcade". The couple didn't just want to open a place for adults to chase the nostalgia of their childhood, but rather a place that the whole family could enjoy. After securing a location on Main Street, and after a short delay from the COVID-19 pandemic, Happy Valley Arcade Bar finally opened to the public. I recently visited Happy Valley with my two sons while we were visiting Beacon. I've loved arcade bars since the first time I visited a Barcade location in 2014. I love sipping on excellent craft beers while enjoying the classic arcade cabinets of my youth. I also appreciate it when arcade bars are family friendly, as both of my sons have also taken an interest in arcade games. We all enjoyed the interior of Happy Valley with all of the crazy colors and spaceship-themed decor on the walls. There was a decent selection of classic arcade cabinets as well as pinball machines, both of which kept my sons occupied for a while. In addition to a nice selection of craft beer on draught, the bar also offers wine, craft cocktails, non-alcoholic options, and various bar bites such as chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, and mac 'n' cheese bites. There were also plenty of seating options both inside and outside. We had already eaten lunch earlier, but I was definitely in the mood for some tasty brews while I played some games. I first enjoyed a Thin Man Brewery's "Pills Mafia" (German Pilsner) followed by an Old Glenham Brewery's "Weaver's Pale Ale" [on cask]. Both of them were flavorful and refreshing. We ended up staying for over an hour; it was nice bonding time for my sons and me. We will definitely stop in again the next time we're visiting Beacon!
