Visited Gardiner Brewing Company on a Saturday afternoon while visiting New Paltz. We had looked ahead at the music schedule and we were excited about the band that was playing. Gardiner brewing is a part of Wrights Farm where they have apple picking and a farmers market . The brewing stable and outdoor patio area is only open 3 - 7 on weekends. When we arrived a little before 4 pm, the place was already packed inside & outside - we got one of the last tables outdoors. They have a ton of outdoor tables which are all first come, first serve. The bar area inside the stable is also pretty large. There are no waiters - food and drinks are all ordered at the bar. If you order food, they give you a number sign for your table and its brought out to you when it's ready. We didn't order much food except mozzarella sticks but they were really good ones and they came out nice and hot. I was under the impression that they brewed their own beers but they don't. They did have a wide variety of craft beers as well as cocktails - their mixed drinks were pretty good! While you are sitting outside, you can see all the sky divers floating down - there's a sky diving station really close by. Once the sun went down and it cooled off, we moved inside to two bar seats much closer to the band. The band was really talented and people were on the dance floor grooving. Was a very popular place and we had a great time. My only complaints were the long lines for drinks and the bathrooms!

Nice place to check out on the weekend! We were a group of four and we arrived before 4:30pm and the place was totally packed already, inside and outside. They had live music and a nice outdoor area. Decent food menu with a few options as well. We ordered the pizza, pretzels and nachos and all was good for a brewery . They had some interesting drink options as well. Something for everyone

Nice space, tucked away inside an old barn. A bit hard to find. Opened very limited hours, just weekends. Very small menu of plates, but what we had - shrimp and a charcuterie plate was very good and nicely presented. The beer was good, but they also had wine and cocktails as well. They have live music, which is a nice touch, but so very loud it's hard to have a conversation. We found the outdoor space a bit quieter and certain spots are covered with awnings to keep you out of the sun. Staff were very friendly. It's a nice spot to hang out in a casual setting, nothing fancy, with a drink and bite to eat on the weekends!

Amazing atmosphere!! Great drinks and great vibe. We went on a Friday night and they had live music outside. A lot of indoor and outdoor seating options. We would love to come back next time we are in NY!

Nice atmosphere. Just ask for taste first. The Stout was too heavy, but when I asked to switch to lighter beer, she refused.

It may sound cheesy but it describes exactly the atmosphere of this place, a good time full of friendly people. It's a 2 two story building with plenty of seating. I have been here many a time where the upstairs is rented out for a private event. They also have two outside decks full of tables and chairs which is perfect to sit at when the weather is nice. And trust me when the weather is nice this place is packed!!!! The food here is delicious. In the warmer months they have a pizza food truck that comes. The pizza is sooo good my favorite is one they sell that has a white sauce on it instead of marinara it is delicious. The brewery itself makes small bites and has a few sandwiches that come with a bag of potato chips. They are also good. Last time we came our friends got the meatball sub and it was huge!!! They said it was amazing. They have a great selection of beers including IPAs, Stouts, Sours, and Ciders. I will say this brewery is what kindled my love for Sour beers. They have one that tastes like a red Starburst, so yummy! They also have non alcoholic beer and spirits on their menu. The staff is also friendly. I have seen them frazzled a time or two when it's really busy which is understandable. All in all it's good service both bar tenders and other staff that is working hard cleaning up tables ams sweeping to make sure the tables are ready for the next round of people. Also to note this is not table service. You go to the bar and order your food and either pay there or open a tab. They then bring out your food to you. You can also get beers to take home and other merchandise such as shirts, jackets, and some packaged food items. It very family friendly! Every time I come I see tons of families here, which is nice. Oh and the last thing to note the bathrooms are always clean!!! Which is something I really appreciate about any place that is serving food and drinks.

What makes this establishment so memorable and so sought after? Let me count thy ways. Hudson Valley awaits at the end of Beacon's Main Street, a fitting finale to a day spent ducking in and out of shops. Its wide open spaces and available sitting is a welcome sight for sore feet. Its diverse array of drinks, from wines to beers to sours, will quench any type of thirst. My drink of choice are their sours, and as someone who previously did not like these kinds of drinks, I was thoroughly converted. Perfect for people who don't like beers, their sours are berry-forward with a tartness that cuts through the sweet flavors. It's so good, I even lugged a six-pack home all the way to the train and back to the city! You simply cannot visit Hudson Valley Brewery without trying their pizza. It's one of my favorites. Cooked in an outdoor brick oven, their pizzas are charred to perfection; their crust thin yet provides a satisfying substantial bite; and their pie topped with ooey gooey cheese. Although I don't doubt that anything you order will be delicious, I have tried their sausage and pepper pizza, as well as their margherita, and can attest to how delicious they are. If you're visiting Beacon, end your day here at Hudson Valley Brewery. It's the ideal last stop.

We stopped in and put our names down as there was a 30ish+ minute wait. We waited at the bar and were able to get a flight and a few drinks which helped to pass the time. The staff were doing their best as they told us they were extremely understaffed which is completely understandable. We were in no rush and the drinks helped to pass the time. The food here was 100% worth the wait to be seated at a table. Yes it was slow getting our table but once we ordered our food was out within 20ish minutes. Well handled for how packed they were. Our server was friendly and polite. I ordered the CRB with grilled chicken. I was genuinely impressed with not only the flavor, but the quality of the ingredients. My grilled chicken was fresh and well seasoned and perfectly juicy with every bite. The bacon was crisp, the lettuce and tomato were also fresh, and the amount of cheese and ranch on the brioche bun was just right. I was also impressed at being able to order regular fries when their menu explicitly said truffle fries as I have a severe allergy. Although they broke me the wrong fries initially our wonderful server brought me a fresh new batch right away. My boyfriend ordered the Rueben and said it was delicious from the sauerkraut, fresh fluffy bread, and meat. Our entire party was extremely satisfied with the quality of our meal. It made the wait times well worth it! If you are in the area I highly recommend both their beers and food! There is indoor and outdoor seating. The entire interior gives a rustic Vermont cabin vibe which is cozy mixed with the industrial part of a brewery. They also have their own private lot which is free parking but be weary of other drivers as I had seen some cars either hit or parked into other vehicles.

We also had two bowls of soup - one was cheddar broccoli and the other was French onion. Everything was delicious. We especially liked the cheese curds. If you are from the Midwest, these are not the same. They are breaded at this place and totally delicious. The pierogies were our least favorite of the three appetizers, but also delicious. We went during the week and it was very quiet, but the restaurant was clean and the service was fantastic. We were seated immediately and the ambience was festive and giving us great vibes. Everyone was super friendly and we had a great interactions with the staff. Our server named Sam was incredibly knowledgeable about every single beer and item on the menu. They recommended beers that we wouldn't normally try. I had the coconut cream ale, and it was delicious. As Sam explained, it was much more of a toasted coconut taste than actual sweet coconut. We also tried the blueberry wheat beer , which was fantastic. Very well balanced. I would highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back.
