It is then my heart heals. My party of six (6) adults decided on pizza. We did not wait for a table. We did not have any reservation, but entered on a whim for lunch. I have spent almost 2.75 hours travelling and suffering MTA NYC Transit weekend planned service work on a Sunday holiday weekend via MTA shuttle bus, subways A, L, 6 trains followed by Metro North Railroad to reach Enoteca Ama. My party inquired if there is a restroom for patrons' usage whom the male waiter mocked my female friend in a snide condescending tone "NO, there is none you would have to go out to do that!" Consequential, four stars and yes, there is one facility available which is relatively clean. The business name Italian literally translation means "wine repository" or "wine library," describes a local wine shop or wine. At first I thought the AMA sounded similar to AMC Theatres. The waitress was kind to take a group photo. There are no table cloth, but there are individual cloth napkins for linens. When inquiring if the bill can be divided individually our request was blatantly dismissed which ultimately it was entered in one bill for our party of six, totaling $155.70. Price is extortionate high as expected in 2026 economic stagflation era. Business cards are available for grabs. Enoteca AMA serves 12 inch, individual-sized cooked in a imported Italian Pavesi brick hearth wood fired oven which is not stated on their printed menu. Their menu is equivocate to obfuscate as it is not descriptive of the pizza ingredients. It obfuscate as it is not specific and very vague without any details. Perhaps, Enoteca Ama need a copywriter? I am very grateful for this individual 12 inch size as it is not large, but a fairly good size fit for one adult. There are many options for pizzas. I personally find standard cheese pizza to be morbidly boring. The staff and chef or cook is very accommodating with my one person in our party specific food preference and dietary request needs gluten free, vegetarian, no added salt. I requested cold water sustaining my thirst in addition to my libation. We were all satisfied with our respective selection of food and drink. Whereas, customer service including the resonate effects of communication is a different story. Prosciutto pizza $20.00 This was my selected pizza with Prosciutto ham, Stracciatella cheese, and arugula, NY style thin crust. I did not taste any figs. It was heavily topped with arugula which was exceedingly more the amount than average. The slices of cured ham was good. There were minimal tomato sauce. The crust was crispy, but as my standard I choose not to consume the end crust. The olive oil embedded was good. Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Luna, Tuscany, Italy (red wine by the glass) $13.00 It is my favorite wine because it is medium-bodied of balanced acidity making it smooth and easy to drink with 13% ABV. It is a dry, long-lingering smoky-sweet finish. Aged in oak. At long last, I finally attained by the glass for libation immersed in full enjoyment of this smooth finish red wine. I actually taste the grape. This was a spur of the moment dinner spot and very difficult to find someplace to eat in Beacon. We ended up here as it was the only place with a table available. We chose to sit outside because it was quicker. The vegetable panini was good. The salad it came with was bland and super oily. The prosciutto panini was also delicious and had a good amount of meat on it. The Caesar was classic and had ample cheese the only complaint was it didn't have the normal saltiness as it usually does. We all ordered a glass of wine. My only complaint was our server was rushing us out once we paid at 745pm and they were open until 930-10 and the entire inside had full tables. Other than that no complaints. read more

A beautiful day spent in an elegant and inviting venue. They have a menu with pizza and sandwiches. There is an enoteca also. They do make a pizza with arugula and prosciutto on it, that you won't find too many places. It's worth trying; the flavors are so complementary that it's a symphony in your mouth. The wait staff are attentive without being obsequious. There is indoor seating, and weather permitting tables under a canopy weather permitting, to people watch over a light meal or an espresso. We weren't too hungry so we shared one pizza pie - they serve personal sized pizzas so it's ideal to share amongst 2-3 people but probably not for a larger group. We got a very simple pie with red sauce, prosciutto, and arugula - the saltiness of the prosciutto complimented the simplicity of the pizza but some of the arugula leaves were slightly yellowed, so while the pizza was served hot, not all the ingredients felt fresh. read more

There is nothing too fancy about this quaint little spot on the main street in Beacon. However, the service was impeccable, the food was delicious, and the prices were not astronomical. Centrally located pizzeria with a decent menu. Firstly, the staff & service is excellent- let's get out of the way. But, the food is underwhelming. The arugula salad, the quatro white pizza, and burrata were didn't taste great and quite bland. They could've easily added interesting toppings or garlic or hot honey with white pizza. The burrata had pesto on it & not actual visible burrata. Condiments wise they only had red chili flakes & chili oil which also tasted average. This establishment has always caught the eye of my partner and I when we would go to our date night spot Cafe Amaracord. We would fantasize about taking a pizza home to go but we were always so satisfied with dinner we didn't want to ruin it. But today, was the day we got to try it. The space is spotless, airy where you feel attended to and well taken care of by staff. To start we had gotten the meatballs and Caesar salad. The portion sizes are large and the apps and salad are shareable. The meatballs were blazing hot balls of fire, well seasoned and delicious served with a slice of sourdough bread it was honestly perfect and would be perfect as its own meal or on top of a pizza. The Caesar was fresh and had bite size pieces of anchovies( if you like that sort of thing). For the pizza I had the Capricciosa Pizza which had ham olives and artichokes and my partner had the burrata. Both delicious with completely different flavor profiles. The margherita was good. My pizza started out good but then had a funny taste to it. The tartufata pizza. I think they went too heavy-handed on the porcini spread. It became very overpowering and then lent a funny taste/twang to the pizza. I was hungry but had to leave the last two slice as it was off-putting. On a late summer Sunday afternoon, I really enjoyed a liesurely lunch of gourmet pizza and salad in this modern, mid-size restaurant in Beacon. It's a comfortable airy space with long windows open to Main Street. They do not serve char crusted pizza, as others have mentioned, but there's no soggy bottom either which is so often the case at the center of a Neopolitan style pizza. My piccante pie was a spicy pleasure made even more delightful with their chilli spiked oil. Service was professional and friendly. Solid four stars. read more

Ama is consistent. The food is always very very good, maybe not the most incredible gustatory experience ever but for the wood fired pizza and creativity they get extremely high marks. Personally I think their white pies outshine their red pies, but maybe that's just me. They are also consistent in that the dinner experience is...um...continental.
