Lemon ricotta cookie the only one I didn't eat too fast for picture lol

Randomly stumbled on this hidden gem. You walk in and it's your traditional classic old school Italian style bakery. Nowadays it's hard to find one of those that's actually good. So I order about 3 cookies skeptical as always lol. Let em tell you as a pastry chef my self and a love of rainbow cookies this cookie was amazing the lemon and ricco was great I'm excited that I know now about this bakery and will be trying much more

Came for some rainbow cookies and of course ended up with way more! The store is clean and well organized and everything from the cookies to cakes to breads looked amazing! Cannot wait to come back.

Was in the area working and not many choices of breakfast so I found this bakery on yelp and got the ham and cheese croissant and it is amazing warm flakey and delicious...

Chocolate mousse cake
Samah I.

I went in for a specific item (a three layer chocolate mousse) and was given the incorrect one (which I discovered when I got home. It was a chocolate mousse cake I believe) so I called and let them know and was told to come back to be given a new one (a thirty minute walk for me--I don't have a car). Once I returned, I was charged again for the new item I had spoken to them over the phone about (I had also decided to buy something else). It was mended because I pointed it out, but I would've liked to have seen some communication amidst the employees about the fact I was coming in (had my server not been the one to answer the phone and honor the new item). Would've been nice to have been returned the difference of the item that had been initially given to me that I hadn't asked for too (it was more expensive). I'm assuming it wasn't employees best day but service was just disappointing. They didn't even seem to know their own menu items which was why this back and forth happened in the first place. I had asked for this triple layer and was told they didn't have it when there was an entire tray full. In any case, the cake was dry and stale, and the raspberry was either bruised or rotting. A really big shame because I would have liked to have frequented this place more often.

I drove by this baker and I had to stop by to get a slice of cheesecake. I am not from the area so I took a chance on coming in ordering a slice of cheesecake. I instead ordered a whole cake because the staff was so kind and friendly. I appreciate them taking care of every client with kindness especially with the environment we are currently under. The cheese cake was amazing and delicious! Super creamy and yummy. You must give them a try!!!

Delicious!!! We had a special order cake made at the very last minute for my husband's 65th birthday. They were extremely accommodating -- ordered at 10 a.m. and was ready to be picked up for party at 5:30 pm. It was one of the best cakes I have ever eaten....it was a huge hit at his celebration dinner. Freshest of everything....whipped cream w/fresh bananas and strawberries, with a chocolate ganache top -- photo below. Their breads, pastries and cookies are also outstanding. If you live in the surrounding areas, it is certainly worth the trip. Even if you don't live in area and are visiting nearby, definitely pick up dessert to bring with you. I promise you won't be disappointed! Staff was amazing as well!!!

Cheesecake on display at Newark International Airport by the TSA entrance towards the Alaska gates. Just looking at it sold me.

How can one judge a bakery that they have never been to? At EWR airport about to fly out and really wanted to bring home NY cheesecake. I wish I remembered the shop's name in the airport, but the girl who sold me the whole cheesecake did not lie about the quality and goodness I was about to have when I reached home. Oh my God. Thank you Joe's Bakery for making this outstanding cheesecake!!!

But once we tasted the banana bread, pumpkin cheesecake, chocolate cake and tres leches cake, all doubts disappeared. The tres leches was perfectly tasty and moist, not dry at all. Most tres leches you get are sitting in a moat of condensed milk, topped with unimpressive frosting and sandwiching painfully sweet cake. THIS IS NOT THAT. Their ratio is spot-on. When I tell you that this was THE BEST TRES LECHES CAKE I'VE EVER HAD, I'm not exaggerating. Staff was friendly. And the banana bread? Delicious with a crisp, golden crust. The chocolate cake was straight from the Willy Wonka factory. The pumpkin cheesecake was creamy and delicious. Buttah Bakery may not look like much from the outside, but the treats definitely do not trick!!!! Can't wait to go back.

Bakeri is Ridgewood's treat palace!…read more I love a little sweet treat! And the people who work here are literally the nicest people ever. It's really the best way to start your day or a little pick me up in the afternoon. This place is closed Monday so don't even think about it. The weekends are kinda nuts too but there's also more specialty items that are here only on the weekends. So still worth the traffic jam. I have tried so many yummy treats from flan to classic Christmas cookie tins. I love the classic cookies here. My boyfriend and will normally pick two and split it. I love the hazelnut one nut also a sucker for an oatmeal choco chop. . And we are suckers for a seasonal scone. Obsessed with the veggie frittata. Every once in awhile I do snag a sandwich. Always a nice change of pace. There's like one table inside and one table outside with some benches. Normally we are doing pop ins so I don't always sit. When it's nice out, it's nice to enjoy a treat outside We do a walk in the morning and love popping in to see what's calling our name. Recently we have been partaking on the Pumpkin Spice Season. It's like a warm hug. This place brings me so much joy! And now that the holidays are around the corner, I'm excited to see what is coming up, will there be pies in my future. Also big shout out for the window artist. So impressive. Always loving the details.
