Really cute bakery and cake shop. The inside is really pretty. Comfy chairs and couches. Cake is also pretty good. It is on the sweeter end of desserts.

Coconut Bread Pudding this is the 3rd time I have ordered this. I really like it. Honesty there isn't much of a coconut flavor but I still love it! Vanilla bean Bombolini ok so this looks like a donut but it really isn't. its like a combo of bread and donut lol. I would probably order it again

I love Iva's sweet parlor! I've never been to the actual restaurant and only ordered off of Uber eats. They always have something tasty to choose from for example mason jar, cakes, and cupcakes. Lots of delicious treats to choose from. Everything arrives wrapped very well for travel, which is appreciated. They typically arrive pretty fast after I order and I would definitely love to check out the parlor in person one day if I'm in the immediate area.

My friend and I were looking for a bakery after we finished brunch on a Sunday afternoon. We checked what was in our immediate area and saw this bakery. This place was a like a diamond in the rough based on the surrounding area outside. As soon as you walk in, you smell the yummy baked good and enjoy the beautiful design of the shop. The staff were very friendly and helpful as we tried to decide what sweet treat we would indulge. There were tons of baked goods to choose from, cheesecake, fruit tarts, ice-cream, croissants and much more. There were about three tables with seats to sit inside and the green furniture with gold accents definitely stood out. I decided on the brownie with some hot tea because it was freezing outside. My brownie was very rich and as much as I love sweets, I wish the chocolate was just tad bit less sweet. My friend had the bread pudding which tasted amazing. It had the right amount of sweetness, was light and very fulfilling. This is definitely a bakery I would return to and check out some other goodies.

I did an online delivery on a milkshake and creme brûlée and to my surprise both of the milkshake and crème brûlée are not the same compared to the pictures on the menu. The pictures on the menu looked appealing and fancy but when you get it, it looks really plain. The crème brûlée sits in a gold tin foil and it is really small. I thought it was going to be a bigger size. Also the milkshake was 75% filled in a plastic container. It was not filled to the top and was too sugary. The whip cream melted and there was none of it when the food arrived. I thought the food would taste and look great because of the bag the food arrived in. It was a nice paper bag that's reusable with the store logo sticker on it.

Vegan Lemon raspberry cheesecake and the signature red velvet.

This was pretty good! I ordered the vegan lemon raspberry cheesecake and the signature red velvet. Delicious!! Also, can we talk about the presentation of the red velvet? So pretty! Both were delicious but fit different flavor profiles. If you're in the mood for something a little more tart, less sweet and with some tang, I'd go for the cheese cake. If you'd like something sweeter and more full figured, go for the red velvet! As much as both were good, it was too sweet for me. However, simply because what I had was so good and was presented so well, I'll be ordering something different, in hopes that it will be less sweet than what I previously have had. Overall, I definitely recommend but make sure you bring a sweet tooth! Otherwise, it may be too sweet for you, the way it was for me.

Ordered via Uber eats at work & we were pleasantly surprised with the deserts we bought. The donuts are definitely worth trying - light and fluffy without being overly sweet. The strawberry shortcake was also tasty and packaged in such a cute way. I didn't try the brownie but I heard good things about it and same for the Apple turnover. Would love to go in person one day and check out the shop!

    moldy guava turnover

Placed an order tonight for several items. Did not receive the vanilla bean bombolini and when I tried calling, nobody answered the number. Also received.a moldy guava turnover. I ordered from here because of the good reviews. Maybe the food is better if you order earlier in the day. Disappointed

Tres leche cake in a jar

The tres leche cake in a jar was like soup. The cake portion had dissolved. It felt like this was left in the fridge for over a week.

Half eaten ham and cheese croissant; sugar donut.
    Dianne R.

OMG. Ordered for the first time ever this morning and I am not disappointed! So truth is, I've tasted the Tres Leches cake from here, but did not know that until today. My coworker who is usually the one who orders birthday cakes for staff shared with me that it's from Iva's that she gets the cakes! So hands down, the Tres Leches has always slapped. Today when I took initiative in ordering the cake though, I ordered some stuff for myself. The ham & cheese croissant and the sugar donut. Looking at some of the negative reviews about freshness, I cannot relate! These pastries were FRESSSSHHH. The croissant was crispy yet fluffy and buttery. OMG. Perfection! The donut was soft, sugary and delicious. Both things were great and I know when we cut into that cake later, it will not disappoint either! Definitely will order from here again!

The counter was emptied when we first came but it filled up pretty quickly. We just got a matcha latte and one prix fixe menu to share. For the main dessert, we picked the chocolate and hojicha soufflé. The chocolate soufflé was light and airy and not too sweet. It paired very well with the hojicha ice cream and caramel apple on the side. Overall, all the dessert was pretty good but everything was very small and I don't think it tasted that good that it worth $30. The service was also not that great. My husband and I were a little confused when we first got into the store and we weren't sure if we needed to be seated. A lady that worked there saw us but never greeted us nor gave us water until we asked. It took a while for someone to acknowledge us and it just made us felt a little uncomfortable.

I grabbed a ham and cheese croissant and a strawberry soft cream cake. The croissant was actually flaky with a decent butter flavor, not dry or bready like a lot of chain spots. The ham wasn't cheap-tasting either, which I half expected. The strawberry cake was light and not overly sweet, more whipped cream than sugar bomb, which made it easy to finish without feeling gross. Also tried their iced latte. Nothing fancy, but it wasn't burnt or watery, which honestly already puts it above a lot of similar chains. What stands out is consistency. You can walk into almost any location and know exactly what you're getting. Display is always stocked, everything looks clean, and the ordering process is quick even when it's busy. It's not a destination bakery, but that's not the point. It's a reliable, better-than-average stop when you want something quick that still feels a little elevated.

The staff is really nice and easy-going. Also, the young (I think) 2nd Gen owner (very cool seeing the culture carried on) is there a lot. Everything is freshly baked and a good portion. Even the sandwiches and salads in the packaged food case look really good. I've had the custard cream bun, hotdog garlic roll, & a egg, ham & hash brown roll (wasn't a huge fan, the hash brown doesn't stay crispy). I've tried the Portuguese egg tart (Pastel de Nata) & that wasn't so great - reminded me of the egg tarts from Aldi, sweet bland filler custard. The staff can heat the pastries up for you, but it might take at least two rounds for larger items. Highly recommend the round fried rice flour/mochi doughnut, soboro bao (the peanut butter crust-topped bun) & if they have, a coffee/mocha shell-topped bao. You can't go wrong with a Korean chiffon cake slice - not too sweet, and light as air buttercream. Not sure if the strawberry cake is based off of Japanese strawberry (birthday) cake. I've never had their drinks, so don't have a review about them. I don't get the impression that the drinks are the strength of the café. Paris Baguette is a chain from Korea. I think their cafés in Korea are a lot bigger and very nice/comfortable, the US version is a more minimal and quick service kind of set up. For $4 -15 you can get a decent pastry, sandwich, or salad which is a great option for the area, LaGuardia Community College students & hotel guests nearby.

My friend lives near by this bakery and I asked her to call and get prices for me. She was quoted $15 for 12 mini chocolate cannoli and $6 for 2 cheese loaves of bread. I agreed and she went to pay for it. Two days later, she gets a call saying the price is wrong and the cannoli will be $15 more. I called and told them I had already paid because the price made sense to me but I was not going to add $15. I could bake and was trying to save time but for $30, I could make my own. The counter girl told me I would not get a refund because they don't do that. I made it very clear that "they" made the mistake and I had a "paid" receipt which they should honor. She said she was going to speak to the manager. Since I didn't get a call back, my fried stopped by to get my money back. The counter girl was extremely rude to my friend and said the manager wasn't around or answering the phone. My friend waited and as she was waiting, the counter girl became annoyed and made fun of my friend calling her "crossed eye". How dare she made fun of someone's disability??? My friend was very upset and told her " I rather by crossed eye than a bitch!" Also, that she was going to write a bad review. The counter girl once again made a remark asking my friend if she even knew how to write. Unbelievable! What kind of person is this? No one should be made fun off or put down because they have a disability. All we wanted was our money back since they made a mistake and would not honor what I originally was quoted and already paid for. I called to speak to the owner but he's apparently never there. I thought maybe he wasn't aware of his employees treatment of customers. But my friend went back to speak to him and the same girl told her the owner didn't want her coming back to the bakery. Mind you, she has spent years going there. At the end, I got my money back but the way my friend was treated was extremely disrespectful. She did argue back with the counter girl but anyone would defend themselves when you are being called names and made fun off.
