The store is also wonderfully stocked and maintained. I recently decided to try to attract some hummingbirds into my yard and figured a nice hanging plant should do the trick. With my limited knowledge of such things, I immediately asked for some assistance and recommendations. I was referred to Ava, who was just an absolute delight. She was genuinely excited about my pursuit and immediately gave me many options. With her help, I was able to choose a beautiful calibrachoa. She was nice enough to trim it up a bit for me, while also offering recommendations on care and watering. I tend to like to highlight when I receive service that I believe goes above and beyond my normal expectations. This was one of those occasions. Ava is knowledgeable and just has a radiant personality. A true asset to the staff at Ace.

Today I went to the Dixon store for two small hardware items. I spent considerable time in front of rows of small drawers, as did another customer, searching for one of my items. I think the other customer finally became frustrated and left the store after pacing back and forth looking for something for many minutes. We caught glimpses of store employees at the end of the aisle, but they never seemed to notice us . . . or care that we might need help. I finally found one of my items without help, but I had not seen the other one (Pop Rivets) during my time there . . . so I tracked down an employee and asked. The employee apparently hadn't heard of a pop rivet, so he called to learn where they were. When we finally arrived there, the selection was very sparse with only aluminum pop rivets available in any quantity less than 100. I resigned myself to traveling west on I-80 to the next Ace store where, no surprise, they had a better selection of pop rivets. If it weren't for the extra distance, I would always opt for "half the store with twice the stuff". Most days parking is a real problem at the Vacaville store . . . for good reason.

Five-Star Experience at Lowe's!…read more I recently went to Lowe's to look for patio furniture, and we found exactly what we were looking for on display. Our first interaction was with Miguel, the department manager, who was extremely pleasant and helpful. He took the time to assist us and made the shopping experience easy. We then worked with Vernon at the Customer Service desk, who was also excellent. He was professional, helpful, and got everything set up for us. We initially misunderstood the delivery schedule, so I called and spoke with Araceli , one of the managers. She quickly understood the situation, took care of the problem, and told us they would have our furniture delivered the very next day. To her credit, they did exactly that. The delivery team was also fantastic. I unfortunately didn't catch their names, but they were fast, professional, clean, and efficient. They handled everything carefully and got the job done quickly. This was my first experience shopping at Lowe's for something like this. I've used other companies in the past, but hands down, Lowe's provided a great experience from start to finish. If you're purchasing something that you can't easily fit in your vehicle, I highly recommend talking with Miguel, Vernon, or Araceli..
