We initially stopped by on our way to the bay to go to the bathroom. We were ahead of schedule so we thought we'd do some shopping. We needed some over cleaner so we headed to that section, then realizing we weren't in our home location we had no idea where to go. We stopped and asked a sales associate for directions. They looked up the product on their hand held computer and directed us to turn right after the abominable snow man. It was right where they said it would be. It's a great product that we have used in the apartment and we wanted our own can at home. It's really strong stuff, but claims it doesn't have an odor. We'll see when we try it out. I have to add that they are so convenient if you are on the freeway. They are right off the freeway at the first light. They have a private parking lot that always has plenty of free spaces so it's a no brainer to stop her if you are on your way to or from the bay. read more

Absolutely horrible, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM LOWES, spent about 10k on appliances and bathroom fixtures for our new house. Oven came in last week, delivery guys ran out of the house so fast after I had to chase them down to give them their drill and the old fridge doors they were supposed to take away. Then I unbox the oven the following week for my contractor to install and the whole bottom was smashed in, called lowes they said because it had been more than 5 days I can't get a refund or exchange, are you fing serious? ANd becuase it's been less than a year their protection plan doesn't kick in yet, they kicked me to fridgedaire (manufacturer) who tried to tell me I'd have to pay for it to be repaired, I finally convinced them to pay for all repairs. I will be charing this back since I bought a new oven not one that fell off a cargo ship and was then repaired by a handyman. Hopefully when they lose all the money on this sale it will make them learn. Also bought a vanity the door on it came in all scraped up, the box it came in was in fine condition so it's obvious it was packaged already messed up. I called them they said "oh it's another business that just sells through us so we can't send you a door" if you bring it back to a physical location we can refund you and order a new one" I explained I don't have a car that can fit it and the closes lowes is 30 miles away, they refused to do anything but give me a $50 discount on a $600 item, so I will charge this back too. I placed an order for delivery of building materials from the Fairfield Lowe's and the experience was extremely frustrating. My delivery time was changed twice, zero calls, and the order was never delivered, still no calls. I had to call the store three separate times and each time was told they're working on it. When I finally reached a manager, I was told my delivery wasn't being worked on, that there was a computer issue, and delivery couldn't be rescheduled for another four days. I cancelled it, rented a trailer and got it myself from the Vacaville store. Poor communication, zero accountability, and absolutely no sense of urgency. We ordered a new dishwasher at the Fairfield Lowe's and were dismayed to see that delivery, installation, all installation parts, and old appliance removal was going to cost 2/3 of the price of the appliance, but we did pay for that. They said it should arrive at their warehouse in about 10 days but the installation company would call to set a date a few days later. When we had not heard 4 days after confirming they had it, we called the installation company. They put us off another week and told us to expect the delivery between 8-6. No set time. The day of delivery they did then narrow the time from 9-1. When they arrived, the installation person determined that the air-gap needed replacing. We could repair it ourselves (the part was $15.95) and reschedule his delivery or pay them an additional $150.00. On top of the already paid $206.00 for installation and ALL installation parts. We called to speak to Lowes, again, but they said their installation kit did not include that part. We are in our 70s, had already waited several weeks for this appliance, and just buckled under. So in the end we paid almost as much for the delivery, installation, and removal as we paid for the appliance. What terrible customer service. I will never purchase another appliance from Fairfield Lowe's. read more

When I called Lowes after 2nd delivery window had passed, the mgr mentioned they could see the order had not made it on the truck at all. I recently read a review about the poor service at Lowe's Fairfield. I had just the opposite. There were not a lot of customers when I went in. The items I needed to purchase were all over the store, so I had to ask for direction. Every sales associate i spoke to was helpful, including walking me to the location of the items I was looking for. One employee was exceptional. His name is Moses. He helped me to my car and conversed with me while I hobbled along beside him. He was patient. He was kind. He was thoughtful. And he's 18! I threw that in there because I'm not used to youngsters that have personality and a willingness to assist. I'm proud to shop at Lowe's and I praise the working staff. Shocked to be getting scammed by such a large, well-known corporation, but that's what this is. They have a 48 hour return window (from purchase) on large appliances, which means that if they deliver more than 48 after purchase and damage the appliance in the process, you're out of luck. In our case, they said they could take it back due to our "unique" circumstances but ONLY if we bought a new one first. This could not be an exchange - we had to buy a new one before they would process a return of the damaged one. Lo and behold, they have never picked up the damaged one to return. They have promised to pickup 3 different days and on each of those days no one showed up. They don't have any problem delivering new purchases (we now have 2 washing machines, one which is damaged and blocking the garage after being abandoned by Lowe's) and taking your money, but returning and refunding is a MAJOR issue. This isn't just bad customer service, is a full blown scam. read more

Lowes was on my to go list Saturday afternoon. I bought a couple plants from Trader Joe's (a monsters and an orchid for my fellow plant enthusiasts!), and was positive one of them needed to be reported when I got home. I walked into the Garden Center looking specifically for potting mix, perlite, Neem oil, peat moss, and a couple of planters. I was able to find everything on my list. It was tricky finding one of those big blue carts to push garden goodies on. But, I was able to find an abandoned one in one of the far aisles towards the back. I was able to find what I needed and zip out.There wasn't a line when I was ready to pay for my goodies, making checkout breezy...which I'm a big fan of! This Garden Center was spacious and had an array of flowers, various trees and plants, soil, planters, fencing, and everything you can think of for your green haven. Only thing I couldn't find were garden tools, and there were no employees on the floor to ask. But, that's okay cuz Amazon here I come!! The prices were affordable for all I bought. I definitely will be returning when my garden supplies run low! :) read more

Regional manager made it very clear that they didn't have to offer me any compensation which was very unprofessional. If you shop this store in the evenings forget about getting any help. It's as though the adults went home and left the children in charge. You walk the aisles and you're likely to come across pallets of stock blocking access to the shelf that you need to get to. Sometimes an aisle in the lumber department will be roped off because a forklift is going to be used to pull stock off an overhead shelf. There will be a forklift sitting there but no humans in sight. And while we're on the subject of lumber, what a mess that department is. At any big box store you have to pick through a stack to find satisfactory lumber. Lowes elects to put 2x4's on a rack that is eye level. How do select lumber when you can only reach 2 or 3 pieces out of a stack of a couple hundred? read more

Just came from Lowe's to find rubberized cobblestone edging at the garden center. I approached a group of employees for where to find the cobblestone after seeing that there was 65 available online. I was pointed at the general area where there was none available. I went around the general area and couldn't find it. I approached another employee who came to look for it and redirected me to go to the lumber area. After searching the lumber area I went to a cashier who was helpful enough to tell me it wouldn't be located in lumber but that it should be in the garden center. The cashier redirected me to customer service who called another employee to help me find the product. The other guy asked me if I checked the location, I responded that yes I checked up, down and around, and asked 2 people in that area who searched as well and that one of them redirected me to the lumber area. After some searching in different aisles, he was able to locate the product and delegated the 2 employees (including the one who misdirected me) forklift the product from a higher shelf. I wish I knew his name because he was the only young guy that seemed to be the only competent person in that department in terms of helping people. While I went off to find a cart, the same young man who helped us locate the items asked my mom where I went and she told him that I had to find a flat cart. Apparently he told the other two employees he originally delegated to start loading the items on a nearby flat cart so by the time I went back they actually were doing something productive. Again, props to that young man for helping and actually doing his job. The other two were disappointing and frustrating and obviously just there to clock in hours. They were more engrossed in the mortal kombat movie than helping. This was my observatio Management seriously needs to Reorient employees to customer service, and if the employee doesn't know, teach your employees to refer the customer to someone who knows. Worst experience of my life! Literally just called a liar by the manager, Tim, a total of four times at the checkout. All because someone forgot to change a price and they're covering their own ass. I tried to purchase this skill saw for the listed price of $59 and it rang up as $79. The manager, Tim went to check and said there was nothing like that over there. So I walked back and took a photo. The lady I took the photo to went back with me and pulled the tag saying, "we missed this one when changing prices." Then she walked me to the front to get the price correction. The manager, Tim, walked over and said "that wasn't there when he walked over." So I asked if he was calling me a liar. Seems simple, but his statement was very pointed. Then he said it three more times as I tried to clarify that I wasn't understanding. All this time, I didn't know he was the manager, so I demanded to speak with the manager. That's when he puffed up his chest and slapped it (literally) and said "I'm the manager". So I asked for someone higher and another gentleman approached and said that he, "Bryan" was the manager. I asked him what he was going to do about the situation and he just looked at me and said, I'll look into it. I demanded that they pull the security footage to prove they called me a liar and lost our business for absolutely no reason. He continued to look at me like I was crazy. Was I? I don't think so. Just a normal everyday purchases turned to hell by very unprofessional staff. The only people who acted professionally were the two ladies who rang me up and refunded me, Gaby and and the other cashier, I can't recall her name. For a handicapped and marginalized person, I have to believe this was personal. It was terribly unprofessional for the manager to call me a liar and act so much like a child in front of other associates and customers. I came to this store looking for screen frame supplies. There were about 4-5 employees in the aisle where I was browsing the shelves for the supplies I needed. The employees (who were literally standing right behind me) were enjoying conversation totally non work related. I stood there for about 10-15 minutes browsing the aisle for supplies and not even offered if I needed help, but I did not feel comfortable interrupting their conversation so I did not bother. I stroll down the aisle further as I see a lone employee with a hoody on facing away from me in front of a cart full of supplies ready to be stocked (except she is just standing there in a trance). I thought this is my chance to get help. But I walk by her and she is busy chewing on a candy bar or some snack and we lock eyes as she casually slowly chews her snack with a mouthful.. I decide she is unable to talk with a mouthful of food.. so I continue wandering around the store. I go to the windows section and am greeted by a friendly employee, who gladly redirects me back to the aisle I was just in and has one of the employees there search for the product I am looking for. The employee does a quick scan on his device and says they have it in stock..but he says "they're expensive." Is it really expensive or do I just look that broke to you? After retrieving one of the pieces, I started asking questions about where I can find the rest of the parts to assemble a window screen frame.. I was pointed in a general area of the shelf..where I did not find any of the pieces.. I look around and I am all alone in the aisle. I drop my supplies and head to ace hardware across town where I am quickly greeted and was explained in detail what I needed for my project.. and this only took 5 minutes. read more

I opened a line of credit to save $100 on a new washing machine. The appliance center area had me fill out my information on the computer. I was approved and off I went. Well long story short I am a victim of online banking fraud-the hackers got to my banking accounts. I would be very weary of opening a line of credit with Lowes. The reason I know it was Lowes is because of one of the phone numbers that my bank asked me about to verify my account and the number used was the number that was used during the Lowes delivery (purchased 2 washing machines) and I never use that phone since it belongs to a family member that was receiving the machine. So all this and had to freeze my credit, police report, closing accounts,etc. to save $100!!! Inside job? Not sure. Lowes-maybe you need to up your security on your computers especially when offering savings! read more

After having special order issues on ordering a French door assembly on July 27. We found out that when it was finally received in early September had not been inspected for damage until October 3rd the day of installation. Then reordered and received in late November. After having to wait for installation until January 3rd it finally got installed. My only disappointment is the trim for the door. It isn't wide enough. 2 inch wide where it should have been 3 inch wide. Now there is a 1 inch gap between the outside of the interior trim and the finish of the wall. I don't hold the installer totally responsible for the error, but it should have been brought up and Lowes sales person should have been more informative at the time of purchase.. read more

If there were a zero star possible I would give this place zero stars. The negative experience I received is beyond words but I will try to summarize what happened. I ordered 8 doors to be delivered on June 10th when I will be in town for new home renovation. On June 4th at 4:30 PM I received an email saying that the order will be delivered on June 5th, when I am not in town. When I called the store, it took an hour to get a hold of someone, just to tell me that all they can do is to send delivery department an email, because they apparently go off work at 4 PM. So apparently they can just make arbitrary changes to deliveries before going off work, and throw all the inconvenience to the customer. But wait, the story is not over. On June 5, I got an email saying my order was cancelled. But I can just order again, right? No, because the price per door went up from 58 to 72 dollars. I wasted 2 hours of my Sunday morning talking to a representative again, to find out that there is nothing he can do and I will need to purchase the doors at the higher price, and that they may not even be available. After wasting in total 4 hours of my life with their mishap, at this point I do not even know if this is due to clear lack of care for their customers or just utter incompetence of their management. I do not recommend anyone placing an order at Lowe's because they clearly do not honor any agreements. read more

I would normally rate this place a 3.5/4, however due to their lack of competency with updating numbers is what dropped this store to a 1. Time to provide context to my 1 star rating. My father passed away in November 2020. He frequently shopped at Lowe's with my mother. Thus, his phone number was on file for the purchases they made over the years. My mother recently bought a new dishwasher and requested to have it installed. Since his passing, we've informed the staff that the number is no longer in use. They have told us several times that they would update it, which they didn't. This past Sunday, my mother wanted to have her new garbage disposal installed by a professional. We headed back to Lowe's to request for someone to install it for her. She noticed my father's number was listed on the contract and we informed the representative that the number wasn't working. She wrote down my mother's phone and stated that we should receive a phone call by Wednesday to set it up. Here comes Tuesday and the technician informs us that they tried calling the number that was on their work order and it's no longer in service. This is absolutely unacceptable! We nicely informed the staff the reason as to why the number is no longer good and request that it's changed. But it's either due to incompetency, too much work to update it on the computer, or the lack of empathy that prevents them from doing their job correctly. I can understand the mishap happening once, but THREE TIMES?! Get it together, Lowe's! I hope a manager reads this. Please train your staff to not overlook these things. read more
