In June 2025 we searched for an oven repair project on Yelp. The oven was overheating and the door would lock as a result. Food inside would burn. Error codes appeared and were provided to Peter who responded timely. Over time Grant and Peter both came to our home and attempted to repair the oven. Both were cordial, on time, and left the place clean but neither seemed to have the knowledge or capacity to complete the job. First visit: Grant spent a considerable amount of time researching the error codes and how to proceed using his electronic device (phone or tablet). He replaced a small part and the oven worked a few times then the problem reoccurred. We requested a more experienced tech come out and the owner (I believe) Peter came out. During that second visit Peter suggested rebuilding the motherboard. After months of waiting we received a text that the motherboard had come in. Peter reinstalled the motherboard on the third visit. During our Thanksgiving meal preparation on Thanksgiving Day the problem reoccurred. We called and sent a text in desperation - advising our ham was in the oven. We didn't hear back. We received a text message on 12/1/25, stating they were closed for the holidays, and asking if we were able to get our oven fixed? During the fourth visit Peter didn't know what else to do, and offered to install a new oven or refund the amount of the service call. He sent a quote for over $2100 for a new (low end) Whirlpool wall oven (our current oven is a slide in) which included installation and haul away of the existing oven. I had done some research and determined that that price was greatly inflated so on 12/12/25 we accepted the offer for a refund for the service call of $477. We finally received the refund via Zelle on 1/14/26, after numerous follow up attempts in writing and by phone. Based on this experience it doesn't appear their skill levels go beyond maybe simple repairs or installations. Both Grant and Peter admitted that a lot of the work they do is for home warranty companies. The integrity however is a bit bothersome - the delayed refund, lack of communication pertaining to its status, a lie from the office staff stating an email was sent on 1/5/26 asking if we had Zelle, accepting a job they weren't equipped to complete, and not having on-call response for emergencies. I contacted the manufacturer and their corporate service division sold us an extended warranty and recommended an appliance service company based in Southern California. That company was not able to repair the washer. One of our neighbors recommended Appliance Worx and I'm so glad they did. Their techs were able to diagnose the problem and repair the washer. While they were here they were also able to clean a blocked dryer vent for us. They were prompt, friendly and efficient and I recommend them highly based on our experience with them. read more

I've used them in the past on various appliances and I reached out because I had one of my rentals that I inspected and The dryer wasn't working as efficiently as it should be. I contacted them and I was received back right away with a call. They were super helpful and letting me use my card for authorization, but allowing the tenant to schedule when he was available to avoid all the back-and-forth third-party. I appreciated that a lot. They came out. They did an inspection and they were able to do a write up with evidence of their diagnosis of the problem and recommendation. The service fee is $129. Did I want to pay 129 to find out that I possibly have a dryer vent that's clogged not really but as far as them doing their job I couldn't have had a better service. read more

Contacted this group through American Home Shield for a microwave repair. They gave me a 4 hour window in which they were going to show up. After three hours and forty minutes, they call to say they'll be here in 15 - and never show up. I call the next day, and they say they did show up. Which is a lie. I was here the entire time - and because our neighbor has an address that looks similar to ours, frequently went outside to check since I knew when they were "supposed" to come. They say they can send someone out again, but guess what, another four hour window. I request a specific time and... no. How about a two hour window? No. Can I speak to a supervisor? "I AM THE SUPERVISOR". Can I speak to who you report to? Put on hold. Long hold. They come back and say, "he went to the right address". I say, no, he didn't - and they say "I'm not arguing with you. The problem here is that I gave you guys all the information and I didn't know the extra fees until after the Tech checked the second appliance and like I told the lady in the office, if I had known this ahead of time the only appliance I would've had him check was the DCS because that's the one that really needs the gasket to be replaced. Samsung washing machine refused to do its job; not even pretending to do its job, the ghastly silence after hitting the 'wash' button was frustrating. The technician Peter (name is a somewhat vague recollection) supplied by Appliance Worx, made quick work of removing the skin of the washer down to its guts to diagnose the washer's illness. I was fairly convinced that the water pump (or whatever it is called in a clothes washer) had failed. Peter determined that it was the impeller (reverse of a propeller, moves the water OUT of the washer) which had encountered and chewed on a combo of rubber bands and hair (? cat) which lodged in its craw and paralyzed it. Likely, a cat toy from the occupants and their feline friends. I appreciated the fact that the technician COULD HAVE easily hoodwinked me into paying for a water pump replacement (2x+ the repair bill) , but instead took the honest path and cleared the obstruction then quickly and expertly reassembling the disemboweled washer Bravo! I left a very positive 5 star review over a year ago based on our experience with two repairs (dishwasher and dryer). I had a substantially different customer service experience recently with a microwave issue. The problem was immediately apparent to the technician and two parts were needed. My bad experience involved the following: I was erroneously told one part was unavailable and this meant the appliance could not be repaired. However, I discovered the part could be purchased from the manufacturer. When I communicated this 'good news' to Appliance Worx, I learned they only source parts from certain vendors. The office manager expressed unprofessional skepticism that the part could be had, but if I did manage to find, they would install with no warranty (since the part was not bought from their vendor). I found this an odd policy given I was going to buy the part from the manufacturer. The price I was quoted for installing the two parts (one sourced by me and the other I saw online for $75) was at least $500 and possibly $650 (I could not get clarification on how my service call fee of $150 was being credited). Moreover Appliance Worx would not breakdown the estimate into its component parts (eg parts and labor). In the end we (novice homeowners) repaired it ourselves in about 1.5 hours. Thus I find the quoted repair price excessive. So, while we are indebted to Appliance Worx for an accurate diagnosis, if we had followed their initial assessment, we would have thrown away a repairable appliance. And if we had engaged them to do the work, I feel we would substantially overpaid (given how easy it was for us to install the parts ). So, I recommend to approach engaging them with caution, and consider getting a second estimate for costly work (or before discarding an appliance). read more

He took the time to fully understand my refrigerator / freezer issue before investigating the problem. It could have been a very expensive visit had he not offered a self defrosting and turning it back on. I have a second fridge so the wait to see if this is the correct solution is preferred rather than an expensive disassembly and part(s) replacement. Learning how to completely clean the door seals to avoid a freeze up over an expensive service call is VERY much appreciated and deserves Recognition. I use this company with my warranty for a leak on my refrigerator mid year 2023 is it now the beginning of 2025 and the leak has came back in the SAME PLACE. The technician came back TWICE to "fix the problem" one would figure it would at least last 2-3 years if not more if the craftsmanship was done correctly. The Refrigerator is fine and was told there was a leak from my ice maker. I cancel my warranty after a year with the idea that everything is now fix and I no longer need warranty, I called today just to hear that I need to pay for a diagnosis to see what's wrong and pay AGAIN to fix the problem and that if it has been over 30 days I would have to pay again for the technician to come out TWICE. If the tech didn't now how to fix the problem to begin with they should have told the warranty to replace the refrigerator my. This company half ass their work, after not one but two visits the job should have been fix and there should be no leakage for multiple years to come, at the very least they should have a complimentary tech come to see the root of the problem because if it is indeed the same area they work on that is leaking they did a poor job. I will not risk to pay for a tech to fix a job just so if it the same leak happens after 30 day I have to pay for two visits again! Poor craftsmanship and money driven company. Damion showed up early, his behavior was professional, he had a nice rig parked out front and when he came in my home, he put sanitary booties on his shoes as not to track any dirt inside. I called them for dishwasher repair. The person who came in for diagnosis was friendly and respectful. However, I felt that they quoted me without proper diagnosis. The diagnosis seem very superficial, and to be honest not very credible, as it involved merely looking under the dishwasher for a minute. After merely looking under the dishwasher lightly they quoted me a high price. What was disappointing was that they did not quote for different possible remedies such as the pump being clogged as opposed to not functional and requiring replacement. They quote a single high amount. I feel that I wasted the $99 that I paid for the "diagnosis". The company that I eventually ended up going with did a much more thorough checkup and provided options and respective quotes. I wouldn't recommend this company for appliance repair. read more

We have had problems with our Wolf double oven for the past year. The bake element and mother board "burned out twice." In both instances, Pete came out, diagnosed the problem and fixed it. (The first time it took ~ 5 months to get the parts from the distributor due to pandemic related supply chain issues. During this period, the office manager called several times to update us, which was very much appreciated). On the second occasion, Pete suggested we contact Wolf directly, as he heard the the bake element malfunction may be due to a problem with the oven liner warping. He thought maybe Wolf would repair the oven for free or at a lower cost due to the design issue. Pete recommend this to us, knowing Wolf might repair the oven for free, which would mean no income for his company. He was knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with, as were all other personnel we encountered from Appliance Worx! They scheduled an appointment for a few hours later to repair our freezer door in our Jenn Air refrigerator and the broiler on our Wolf Range. The repairman, Pete, showed up even earlier that promised, promptly diagnosed the problems, gave us a fair estimate & ordered necessary replacement parts.
