2 lawn sprinklers repaired and given a fresh coat of paint.

I'm astonished with the skills Mr. Fix-It has to fix almost everything. I took 2 decorative lawn sprinklers to see if he could clean & restore them to working order. Not only did he accomplish that, but freshened them up to make them look new (see photo below. I've been bringing many items over the past years to Mr. Fix-It and have always been pleased with his repair skills. I don't think you would be disappointed either.

KitchenAid mixer

Not only did Mr. Fixit fix my ancient KitchenAid mixer, he cleaned it up and applied touch-up paint (with my permission). He's a very capable handyman and a nice guy! He gives great serice! Definitely recommend him!

Hello Jillian, I think we spoke earlier today. But if not..... Mr. Fixit will suffice. Mike

Hi! My electric kettle has a leak where the spout attaches to the kettle -- do you do spot-welding? I'm leery of trying to only using silicone to seal it because I want to be sure the mend is food-safe and heat-tolerant -- thanks!

Hello Marie, No, I don't weld but I do solder, and solder pretty well, too. Silicone probably wouldn't do the trick, though I commend you for the attempt. Not everyone takes… Read more

She bought it in 1967 and had it reupholstered 18 years ago with beige silk brocade with very faint pink highlights. This couch was for guests when they visited. She passed and left it for me, knowing that I would take care of it. Even though it is beautiful, it is a very light color and I am concerned about that because I am going to use it every day so I had a cover made for it. This is where Pieced on Earth, Janet and her staff come in. I chose a deep green suede material. The first time I saw just one pillow completed, I almost cried. It is absolutely beautiful. She personally designed the covered for the rest of the couch adding customized touches that made it look so close to upholstered that I just had to hug it, I feel all the love she put into it. I discussed the history and she understood my desire to honor my mother and take care of it. Her attention to detail is a testament to her craftsmanship. She wanted to make sure I am happy. And I tell you she made me so very happy. I just wanted a customized slip cover. She discussed piping details with me, that I didn't even think of and how she secured the bottom looks almost like she removed the existing fabric and covered the frame. It is beautiful. She even detailed the base at the of the back of the couch cover. The curved section was a little tricky, but she took her time and looked at it checking with me to make sure, it was to my liking, I also told her it was too low for me. Solution, she had me order some 6 "wooden legs that look simply fabulous, like they were there all along. As we discussed the cover, I got a good feeling, she understood how important this process was for me. She is so personable and talented. I trusted her with a couch that has a lot of history and she respected it, took care of it and covered it with love. She is just the best and I am so glad I met her. Thank you Janet, and for choosing such talented artisans to assist you with your work. Your work represents respect, care and a high degree integrity. I have been enjoying my couch. It looks so good in my home. Thank you so very much!

I reached out via Yelp and didn't get a response after the initial response. After a little more…read morethan 1 week of waiting and having my other furniture refinish appointment get delayed, I read a review saying the owner was more responsive over text message and gave it a shot. It was about 11pm so I didn't expect a response until the next morning but I got rapid fire responses and was able to schedule an appointment the following week after confirming a few details (namely, insurance to cover the table if it is damaged) I wanted to re-finish an epoxy resin waterfall table that I messed up on and wanted to restore its matte finish. The table was picked up and I was told to expect it to be done within 1 week. About a week went by, I checked in for any updates and pictures and was told they just put on the first coat. Another week went by and the second coat was applied but was told the issue prior to the work is still visible. I was then upsold to switch to CV (previous was using rubio/osmo to finish). Being fairly unknowledgable about finishes, I asked a few questions and was just told it was better. I did some basic research (chatgpt, reddit, youtube, etc.) and was fine with it. It cost an extra $100 but the labor to re-sand the surface to remove the rubio applied was covered. All in all, about 3 weeks went by and I received the refinished product. Overall, I it looks as I wanted it to. Mauricio handled the initial pickup and subsequent re-delivery so the process is very convenient if you are busy and don't want to plan how to transport heavy furniture. Some notes: - Its best to reach out via text message to Mauricio and to do so at some regular cadence if you want updates. Perhaps calling would be more expedient if you have the time. - There's a lot of promises or statements that were not followed through (e.g. I'll send an invoice by end of day, I'll send updated pictures by end of day, etc.). See first point. - Estimate may be over-exaggerated. The project went from 1 week to 3 weeks. - It would be nice to do a pros/cons breakdown or simply spend a few sentence educating clients on the trade off of finishes (e.g. Rubio vs Osmo, Rubio vs CV, etc.).

I think that using Apple or Google maps needs to be accented by talking to the folks at Pinocchio to find out how to do it. we just followed Google, but didn't get there and had to ask a worker working outside his place of business and said we took the wrong driveway. I ended up sending 3 chairs with him to fix and plan to go to him for some custom work. Highly recommend!
