New outlet. plugged in and sparks flew. electrician came out- wires crossed inside dryer when installed. 4 weeks dealing with Pearson's for refund of $144.20 electrician bill. They came up with every scenario on why our fault. finally said keep your money. Im telling everyone Else know to buy elsewher. read more

Just a horrible experience overall. We really try to support small businesses but this was a bridge too far. We originally paid $175 more to buy from them than we would have paid at Costco, and settling for our second-choice dishwasher because Pearson's didn't have our first choice. When the installers showed up, they told us that the dishwasher they were replacing was hardwired and that they would need to install an outlet. Fine, understandable. But they wanted to charge us $250 for what is at most a 15-minute job. I refused, they left, and I called Pearson's about it. Our rep called us back a few minutes later with this song & dance about how much work "it really was" and offered to cut it to $200. Not good enough. I asked for $150 and they refused. I hired an electrician to install the outlet for $150 - the amount I would have been willing to pay Pearson's. Bought our first-choice dishwasher at Costco. Installation was on-time and perfectly done. I really feel like Pearson's customer service has gone way downhill. I doubt I will ever shop there again. read more

I purchased the GE combo 2-1. I kept my dryer as a backup after reading the feedbacks given for this new type washer/dryer. Customer service rep Daniel deserves a thumbs up however, The install team now charges for stairways, I purchased a GE washer/dryer back in 2015 and the washers performance dwindled and ended up in need of control board. The new combo 2-1 is nice but the installers had to return twice for leaks causing damage inside the wall and water spots to kitchen ceiling. Their second visit was to retightened the valves connection and upon pressuring the connections, it made it worse after retightening. He stated that a Plummer is needed to replace new valves. I had no prior leaks since living here 2015 prior to purchasing new combo 2-1 Jovani's plumbing service came out and found a splitter line didn't have a black washer on connector hose causing leak when pressurized. New valve replacement wasn't needed. read more

After being a repeat customer for over 20 years with both the Fairfield and Vacaville locations, I am disappointed at the customer service and delivery areas and will never do business with Pearson's again. I bought a washer/dryer and stainless-steel refrigerator on July 11th so this was no small purchase. The delivery guys did not communicate with each other and while one of them was trying to get the washer in, he scratched the handles on the refrigerator (as shown in pic). Along with that, the refrigerator was carelessly jammed into the space causing damage to my new cabinet (as shown in pic). The doors of the refrigerator were also installed incorrectly so the doors are uneven (as shown in pic). It has now been almost 3 months and Pearson's has not made this right. The salesperson, Gus, states that it's not his department and the responsibility lies with the delivery department. Vince Lauer, delivery manager, does not respond to my messages and I've had to call many times to follow up. Vince has sent someone out to take pictures even though I've sent him several. He makes excuses for not communicating. Vince states he's going to find a cabinet vendor and call me back, but to this date he has done nothing but push this aside and hopes I'll just go away. He said he would contact me in one day with the appropriate appliance information. I had told him I was ready to purchase, I just needed to make sure it was going to be the correct unit. We ordered a new washer and dryer on Saturday May 13th and was told the order would arrive on Wednesday May17th. I did not receive a call during the arrival week, so I called on Saturday May 20th to check the status. I was told that our machines were there and the person on the phone actually went to the warehouse and touched them. We set up Saturday May 27th for the delivery and installation. I received a call this morning Friday May 26th that they had SOLD our machines and would need to reorder them. WTF They have not offered any compensation for this incident as of yet. read more

My wife and I walked in a few days ago as we need to purchase a new refrigerator. We walked in and an older white employee (with no mask! he probably thinks COVID-19 is a hoax) came our direction. When we nicely told him we were looking for a refrigerator, he pointed towards the refrigerators and walked away. Rude. And the area he pointed to was where some of the refrigerators were located, not all. We walked around the entire store without any help, looking for the model we came to see. Nobody asked if they could help. I walked out and my wife, who was behind me, asked him if they had a specific Samsung refrigerator we were looking for. Last summer we purchased a Maytag washer and dryer combination from Pearson's Appliances in Fairfield. About 1 or 2 months later the washer stopped working. I contacted our salesperson Daniel at Pearson's Appliances. He took the lead in helping us through a difficult process based upon our Maytag warranty. He spent a lot of his own time helping us out, and in the end, Pearson's Appliances replaced our washer with a brand new and upgraded Maytag washer for no cost to us. Daniel and Pearson's Appliances provided the best customer service I have ever experienced in my life, and I'm an old guy! I highly recommend Pearson's Appliances in Fairfield. TL;DR: Pearson's had exactly what we wanted, when we needed it... and at a fair price. Our 13-year-old Bosch dishwasher broke during the 2020 pandemic. We wanted a new Bosch, but everyplace we checked either (1) didn't actually stock dishwashers (they were in a "central warehouse" and had to be shipped) or (2) were backordered for months -- even the online retailers. We stopped by Pearson's on a lark (first time in the store) and found exactly the model we wanted --that was backordered everywhere else -- for the same price that HD had it at (with a months long delivery time). The entire transaction took less than 30mins and in even less time, we had it loaded up and ready to transport home. By nightfall, we had a working dishwasher self-installed. Woohoo! This is not a fancy store with shiny displays. What they have is appliances in stock in the back-warehouse... which is what we needed. We were assisted right away at an appropriate, simple "Can I help you with anything" level (not pushy or bait/switch). Buyer beware! We purchased an in stock stovetop last Saturday. I came back today (Thursday 5 days later) to try to return it for personal reasons and the owner refused to take it. It was still brand new in the box and never been opened. The owner refused to talk to me when I pleaded with the helpful store associates who were sorry they could not help me. #1: I bought a new microwave oven about three years ago. I specifically went to Pearson because they were a local company. The microwave was in stock. It was a little more expensive than the big box stores but I was willing to give my money to the local company. I installed it and it's been satisfactory. Three stars. #2: Our stove/ oven went out in January. We found the stove we wanted at Best Buy. Again we went to Pearson because they were local and we wanted to support local business. They didn't have that model in stock and they readily offered to order it. They said it would be here in three weeks. After three weeks I hadn't heard anything, so I called. They said it was delayed. Storms. I told them to step up their communication. They said it would be early March. The new deadline came and went. I called again. Wow, I finally get the chance to finish this thing. I purchased a new counter top range (burners), over vent and a wall oven. This was about 8 months ago. Pearson's staff worked closely with me on selecting and getting good prices on the appliances. I met with installation staff prior to installation of appliances to figure out if everything would work, and to identify any electrical issues. I had to upgrade the electrical wiring in the kitchen. Once that was done, I went back to Pearson's, agreed upon a final cost, and the appliances were ordered and installation was scheduled. The appliances were installed and looked great. I am happy with how everything operates and have had no equipment failures. The installers did a great job and cleaned up afterwards. Great people! A couple of months ago, I had a crisis. On a Thursday night, my refrigerator died. It was 17 years old. I discover this on Friday morning. Food spoiled, big mess. All morning I am looking online for a big refrigerator that would be low enough to fit under the cabinets. I called Pearson's. Amazingly, they have the exact refrigerator/freezer brand and model that I had found online. Pearson's price was less than what I saw online. I asked the impossible ... could it be delivered tonight, and was told that unfortunately, they would not be able to deliver it until Monday. Later that afternoon, I get a call from Pearson's that their delivery person is willing to bring to over now, if I am ready. I silently shouted "Yahoo!" in my head as I said I am ready for delivery. I was told the person would be at my house in two hours. As soon as I was off the phone, I ran around like a crazy person, getting everything ready, because I was not ready. Two hours later the appliance was delivered. I am happy with it. No equipment issues. Looks great with the other new appliances. Oh, they told me to come in on the following Monday to pay them! I like Pearson's because their prices are good, they work hard to please the customer while the environment is low keyed. Finally got two weeks later delivery guys complaining about the stairs after we paid extra for the stairs. Dryer was setup not balanced and the door won't stay open, now dryer making some kind of strange noise like it's about to die. Won't ever buy from these guys again. We came in to find a chest freezer. Waste of our time. I found several a Name Brand freezers with identical specs at multiple stores around the area. The sign outside states that these guys will compete with advertised prices; yet when I showed all the ads showing that the chest freezers they had were all $40 - $120 more expensive than anywhere else the salesman dismissed me quickly saying "they are different brands". Well sure I can understand that, it's not smart, but I can understand it. I mean who in their right mind would buy a generic anything for more cash than a name brand?! Anyways, that wasn't why we left. The reason we left is because the salesman was asked by another "how's it going?". Our salesman answered him with "they are just wasting my time" after which they proceeded to laugh. We immediately left, and actually bought a larger name brand freezer from BestBuy for $12 cheaper than their generic ones. My name is Randy Greer and I am writing this review Which is Directly related to Pearson's Appliance I received a refrigerator delivery in which was damaged by the delivery personnel #Invoice CK2395. The delivery was made in the AM December 1. The delivery was made in Fairfield Once unloaded off the truck the refrigerator was laid on its back to remove the doors to be later moved into the house the doors were carried into the house by one of the delivery personnel one door then the next following him into the house each time when the second door was carried in I heard a thud turned and looked and the second refrigerator door hit the door jamb on the face side causing a dent in the stainless steel at the top edge. Once the GE unit was put together I told the one in charge of the delivery and pointed out the dent on the face of the stainless steel he then pulled out his phone and photographed the obvious dent. He then said Pearsons would take care of this issue. I then called in which I could could get no Manager all I got was a plethora of prompts and eventually a voice mail in which I left a message to call me and a call back number in which no one called. Then my wife finally got a hold of the salesman the sold us the refrigerator when we were at the Fairfield store. Immediately JASON about the issue with damage to the refrigerator and was told that they were not responsible for the damage due to their delivery personnel. To me this is utterly unacceptable when are you not responsible for damage your delivery personnel caused really how does the square up as far as your responsibility as the seller and deliverer of the product, I didn't pick it up I didn't unpack it I didn't bring it into the house I didn't hit the door jamb. Then we got the delivery manager on the phone and he said that me would have to call GE and do all of the leg work with a GE service tech to rectify this situation this is the WORST CUTOMER SERVICE RESPONSE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED JUST A DISMISSIVE DONT CARE ABOUT AN ISSUE A CUSTOMER HAS AFTER THE SALE WHICH IS DIRECTLY YOUR DELIVERY PERSONNELS FAULT "UNACCEPTABE" NONE OF PEARSONS PERSONNEL WOULD ACCEPT THIS LOW LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE ON ANY ITEM THEY WOULD PURCHASE THEIR EITHER. We need a new dishwasher. We like supporting independent businesses so we went to Pearson's Appliance in Fairfield yesterday afternoon about 1:00 p.m. We walked in and noticed 3 employees at the front counter. One was with a customer. We went over to the dishwasher area and looked at every dishwasher they had. No one came over to help us. We spent 30 minutes in the store looking up info on my phone, yet no one even bothered to ask if we needed help. We left and went to Lowe's in Vallejo. We were greeted by a sales associate within 5 minutes. He was very polite and showed us some differences in a couple dishwashers we were interested in. He quickly looked on his company phone and said they showed both in stock however he will go check the back and verify. In the amount of time we spent being ignored at Pearson's, we learned about some changes in dishwashers, picked out the one we want, and purchased it. For $150.00 less than Pearson's has the same one on display. In this competitive world today the best thing an independent business can have is superior customer service. We would have gladly bought from Pearson's at their higher price had they had ANY customer service. read more

First, I made the mistake of buying a wall oven from The Home Depot and waited two weeks for it to be delivered. Then I waited another two weeks for the installers, hired by HD, to come. Four missed appointments later and NO calls before any of them to tell me they weren't coming, I cancelled the transaction. Then I went online to find another more reliable store to buy the wall oven. Pearson's has a great website and on Saturday morning, bright and early, I drove over, spoke with Michelle about the wall oven I wanted, and in less than 20 minutes, the transaction was complete at a price that was less than HD's! Michelle set up an installation appointment for the following Tuesday with a 3 hour window and guess what? The installers arrived a couple minutes after the window began, installed the wall overn (and removed the old one), cheerfully, competently and with no problems. They were in and out in less than an hour. I would recommend Peason's to anyone in the North Bay (or Bay Area for that matter) who needs a new appliance. These folks are so nice and competent, I will never buy another appliance from another store, if possible. read more

Our 8 year old Bosch dishwasher went out the day after Christmas. I called them and paid for a replacement on 12/28. Didn't haggle, didn't shop, just paid for it $1700. We still don't have it. They wasted a Saturday of ours waiting for the delivery and install that never happened. They never bothered to call and reschedule. They have NEVER EVER called us back. They are completely unprofessional. Just clowns. They do not return calls after numerous messages. It's a shame to see small local businesses die but this place is on their way out. Went to Pearson's Appliance in Fairfield. My salesman, Jeff, was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, that's where the helpful ended. We purchased a Kitchen Aid Dishwasher for $869.00 plus $199.00 for installation and haul away. We also purchased a Dishwasher kit for $29.99. The sales tax was $75.29 for a total of $1173.28. When Juan the installer arrived, he told us because we had a corner dishwasher, there would be an additional $200.00 plus fee for the installation. This was never mentioned to us and feel we were blind sighted. I immediately called Jeff and told him how unreasonable this extra charge was and he said he couldn't do anything about it. Juan was fantastic. But he told us if we didn't pay the extra fee, he couldn't install. After talking to his boss, Juan got the charge dropped to $150.00. So, our $869.00 dishwasher became $1323.28. Here's the thing. If you're going to buy appliances and you get them at Home Depot for example, if something goes wrong you will get a pimply face 20 year old who doesn't know anything about anything telling you that you need to figure it out and call a repairman. We had an issue with the dishwasher we bought from Pearson's (a turkey bone got in the draining tube somehow) and the owner told us how to fix the issue on a Saturday afternoon. Problem solved. Another time my washer was leaving lint on everything and they found my warranty and called the repairman FOR me. Face facts, you're just not going to get that kind of service at one of those chains. But our washing machine died and of course we need one so I called to see if they have a specific one, a GE 4.2 load capacity size top load washing machine for $566. A woman answered and said her computer said she had 1. She went to double check. Said they only had the display one and that no they don't offer an open box discount on selling the displays. She said the model I was asking about was an older model and they were all gone and they only ones left for $899 and up. I already figured this woman was lying trying to upset me in a dishonest way so I called Vacaville. The man that I spoke with claimed according to his computer that they had 20 machines that I was asking about. He offered to call them up and double check for me. He did and low and behold they have them. He was amazing customer service. I'm going to write a great review for him for the Vacaville location but this place, the customer service has always been bad. I don't want to wait 2 weeks for a washing machine and that is the only reason I bought it from them! Plus the man from Vacaville gave me a discount. I can't say enough nice things about this store and their employees. Five-Star customer service!! I purchased a dryer at "big box store" in Vallejo and immediately regretted the purchase when they told me they could not deliver for over THREE weeks! I got my money back and called Pearson's. Roy Pearson answered my call and treated me like family. I told him what I needed and he gave me lots of information to help me make an informed decision - far more info than had been presented to me at big box store in the THREE trips I made there. I bought a cheap dryer. I do not need anything big and fancy and Roy never tried to talk me into anything bigger or more expensive. I bought a GE for $13 more than I had spent at the other place and they delivered within 48 hours. FRIENDLINESS is a big plus here. We took our dog with us and the other sales people were friendly, chatting us up and showing us photos of their dogs while we waited for Roy to help other customers. HONESTY is a big plus here. Roy told us that an extended warranty on any product under $1000 is just not worth purchasing. Big box store tried to sell that to us THREE times while purchasing a $500 dryer. CUSTOMER SERVICE is the key word for this family-run business. I want to give them 10 stars! read more

Let me start off by saying that Zack was amazing by helping us find what we needed. Everything after that, went down hill. We had THE WORST experience with this store. 1.) Our GAS dryer was installed improperly which lead to a slow gas leak. 2.) When I called the store complaining about a faint hint of some type of fume from my laundry room, there was no urgency in the matter. I was instead asked to cut off the power to my laundry room. 3.) A tech WAS NOT available until the following week to which I DID NOT receive a call to schedule an appointment as I was promised. 4.) The person with whom I spoke with had enough experience under his belt as he mentioned more than once during not one but several calls. For all the experience he had, he was unable to provide a solution to a problem THEIR installers created. 5.) I was instructed to call the manufacture to deal with Pearson's installation problem and when that company came out (AFTER PG&E FIXED THE PROBLEM) the service tech said, they wouldn't have been able to fix the gas dryer issue as it would've been something the installers (Pearson's) would have to fix! 6.) A PG&E tech FIXED the problem. Thank God for him! He could have just shut off our gas, but instead he went above and beyond to PROPERLY install our gas dryer. read more

I have talked to Mark three times in the last few days. I'm trying to replace a microwave oven. Each time he has been short. I was trying to buy a convection microwave but it doesn't seem to fit in my cabinet. After checking with Sears and Best Buy, I decided to buy from Pearson's because I thought they would have better costumer service and I need to have it installed. I called Mark this morning. I asked it he could match Best Buy or Sears price which was $40 cheaper. He rudely said "go buy it from them. I just sent in my weeks order. I can't get it for you until a week to a week in a half." I asked if he could add it to his order he said "no. Go buy it from them." He also said they wouldn't match the price if they don't have it in stock. I told him no one has it in stock.
