Arrived at 5:20 and it was already a 35 minute wait so I instead went to the bar friendly enough service very loud very busy very quickly so I just had a couple appetizers and a drink. I don't think the calamari $16 or $18, was not fresh I think it was fresh Frozen. No flavor what so ever. The seafood bisque $10, was delicious. Season Mixed well with the seafood. Fresh and creamy. Plus one drink. Too $$$ for my blood..really wanted to try their steak b/c reviews said one of the best in OBX...but... Extensive wine list and liquor. Maybe next time just a steak...place was packed as I was leaving standing room only!!! Cost 48.00

The food was delightful, and I truly appreciated the good service and the lovely ambiance that made the experience even more special.

Wow! What a meal . Top notch from start to finish: my steak was cooked to perfection. Such great flavor on everything we had. Five stars!

    Lamb with mashed potatoes

Absolutely amazing from start to finish--the food, the service, and the atmosphere were all top-notch. I had the lamb, and it was cooked to absolute perfection--truly the best I've ever had, and I've tried lamb at many top restaurants! My husband ordered the 16oz ribeye, Pittsburgh style, and it was equally outstanding--perfectly cooked and incredible flavor. Mark, our server, was fantastic--attentive, knowledgeable, and great personality. Don't miss the quail appetizer--it's a must-try. We'll definitely be back!

This place is a slightly upscale local hangout steakhouse. For drinks I had the lavender 75 which is just a French75. Tasty drink. We started with the Carolina egg roll and it was very good but had way much collar greens than protein. We had the cowboy steak and it was delicious. The steak came with mashed potatoes and broccolini. The fresh made bread was great. The owner and manager were both very visual and great with mingling with the guests.

3.5 would be more accurate. We had three dishes and a dessert, 2/3 were just okay and dessert was also just okay. The ribs appetizer were a little tough but flavor was good. The JKs special was overpriced and underflavored. It's not medallions as one would typically see with that description, but just two slices of filet. The only really good thing was the lamb which had great portions and flavor. The dessert could have been better if the profiteroles were warmed up, they were hard to eat with the ice cream.

Absolutely delicious. Phone did not eat first due to the food being so good. The servers were extremely inviting and kind. Art fills the walls and gives a western vibe.

I had the blackened mahi-mahi BLT sandwich which was perfectly cooked and served with over a pound of french fries. Not going to lie; the fries were fantastic. Nicely seasoned and not greasy. I ended up eating the mahi open-faced to avoid spilling on myself but the fish, tomato slice and lettuce were all delicious. It also came with a crisp pickle spear. My wife got the ceasar salad and added a skewer of blackened shrimp. The shrimp were tasty but could have stood a little more spice. They have a nice wine selection including a good selection available by the glass. Also a nice beer selection with some local/NC beers on tap. I observed all of the staff being very friendly and helpful to patrons throughout the restaurant. I will definitely be back and looking forward to trying it for dinner.

In the last year or two they've moved to a much larger building (which was very much needed because they're so popular). Parking can be tight depending on what time you go, but GO! This new location has a second floor! They have daily specials, though I'll always get the fried oysters if they're available. I and my family and friends have always loved anything we get here - delicious! BMBG is family-owned, and you can tell -- the service is top notch. At the front door they have a large selection of BMBG apparel -- take some of Blue Moon home with you! While there, check out the fantastic fireplace made of oyster shells -- I took a picture for you.

Neither one was worth the money. Everything is expensive anymore when you eat out, I don't mind paying if the food is good. The soup had no signs of fish or seafood in either serving. It tasted like a spicy vegetable soup. It was good but no fish and not worth $9. The Quinoa bowl was average, tomatoes were spongy and tasteless and 3-4 pearl mozzarella balls. How is that $19? Very disappointing. I gave 1 star for our wine and our waitress Emily did an awesome job. She was prompt and took care of all the tables in the dining room. She did a fantastic job ensuring we had everything we needed. It wasn't her fault for the food. We are both locals and wanted a girl lunch, and appreciate the challenges restaurants face. Trio is always busy So not sure why today's food was so poor. I still bought wine at the store, again great shop.

I talked Ms T into trying it again. We just can't handle a big lunch and wanted to avoid leftovers, so decided to split a pickle brined chicken sandwich with fries and an extra side of slaw. The sandwich was OK. To start with it needed more seasoning. How about breaking out the black pepper and garlic powder? The meat was uncharacteristically tough/chewy for chicken breast. I suggest they need to be pounding it to tenderize it and then brine it. It was actually hard for us to cut and eat. It really looked nice, but I think I am done with pickle brined chicken. It just never gets enough brine impact. They make good small caliber fries that were piping hot and the slaw was fine for me. Ms T did not care for it so I got it all. Our food was OK, not stellar. The service was excellent, but I still can't make this better than three stars. I hope to convince her to return for a burger during this trip.
