She told us to sit where ever we'd like and to come up and order when we're ready. This place has gone up in price due to inflation so we paid $31 for the mix and match (that has gone up from $15 to $18) & and 5 piece wing, and a drink. The vibes here are pretty laid back, every time I've came up here it's never been too packed for me. The food came out in like 15 min which was good because they cook your food when you place the order. Overall I think this is still up there on my fav wings. My other pics are blurry whoops!…read more So, I have never dined in at a pluckers. I have had it through like DoorDash. Usually it's from the Woodlands location. Today we decided to have a self-care day. It is also national tequila day. It was around 2:30 in the afternoon when we got there, the main dining room it was actually pretty full and so was the parking lot. There was only two of us the way it was five minutes, maybe. We were sat at a table, and our server, whose name was Nat she was so cheerful, and very friendly and welcoming. If we ever go to this location again to eat, and I certainly hope that she still works there because she had the best personality of anyone we interacted with that worked there. So we got the fried pickles and the fried cheese, which honest to God I've never seen cheese sticks that big in my entire life then we also ordered 20 wings. We brought 10 home. We were able to get four sauces for the wings. We got the Cajun dry rub. We got the Dr Pepper. We got five plane with a side of the raspberry chipotle (OMG the raspberry chipotle was so good and the heat doesn't hit you. It takes like a minute or two before the heat starts to hit. But so flavorful.) We also got the gold rush. So for me the Dr Pepper wasn't very good. It's just my opinion. It was very very sweet and that was it which we knew that it was a mild flavor, but it didn't taste like Dr Pepper. It also didn't taste like barbecue sauce. I didn't care for them, but the person that I was with like them. The Gold Rush. Was absolutely amazing. This will always be my GoTo favorite. The thing that I love the most about Pluckers - and I wish my picture wasn't blurry, but if you love wings, they never fail to follow through with the size and the meatiness of their wings. We are old school wing eaters. And a few things that we have always noticed because we're not originally from Texas, is finding a place that has good sized wings and not these little tiny baby wings that look like they came from the pigeon. So, all in all between the excellent service that we got from that and I don't know the other girl's name she was expediting our food. They had forgotten our celery and blue cheese, and she went and got it for us and I didn't catch her name. But Nat - she was so personable and funny and on it like we didn't really have to wait for anything. And she was absolutely delightful as a server. I certainly hope that she is there when we return. And I was going to say something to the Manager about how excellent her service was and how great she was but they were busy and I've worked in restaurants for years and even though you love to hear the compliments it's kinda hard when you have a full house and you're running around crazy and you wanna take care of a customer if they ask for you, but she was so busy working her butt off that we didn't wanna stop her from what she was doing. So thank you, Nat for a wonderful lunch experience today we hope to see you again! We also had a few draft beers. Then we each got a Michelada.

We both ordered the two-piece meal, which comes with baked beans, coleslaw, and a piece of bread. I loved EVERYTHING! The breading on the chicken was unlike anything I've had before. It was perfectly crispy, flavorful, and had just the right amount of kick! The baked beans were honestly the best I've ever had. They were sweet with a little hint of spice, which I loved! We also ordered the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. I don't typically order these, so I don't have much to compare them to, but I thought they were good! The breading was flavorful, stayed intact, and had a nice crispiness to it. They also came with ranch, which was a nice touch! The service was excellent throughout our visit. Everyone was consistently attentive, friendly, and helpful without being overbearing. One fun perk of this location is that if you purchase a drink and bring your cup back on your next visit, your drink is FREE! My husband and I love collecting cups from local restaurants, so we thought this was such a fun little bonus! The restaurant itself was clean and had some really cool Houston memorabilia displayed on the walls, which was fun to look at. There was also plenty of parking, even during Saturday lunchtime! Overall, we had such a great first experience dining in! Between the delicious food, friendly service, and fun atmosphere, I can definitely see us coming back. The chicken itself was beautifully fried in peanut oil, and truly one of the best, juiciest, fried chicken pieces I have ever had. This place is an example of simplicity at its finest. I visited DoDo's Chicken on Wednesday, 6/11 around 4:45 PM, excited to get the chicken and sides…read morethat I usually love. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing for several reasons. First, I noticed that the staff handling food behind the counter were not wearing gloves. Hygiene is important, especially when preparing and serving food, and it was concerning that no one appeared to be following proper food safety practices. At that time, the rotisserie was already being cleaned, which told me they had stopped preparing fresh chicken for the day. Instead, they were serving pre-cooked chicken kept in a warmer. As expected, this made the chicken dry and hard on the outside. I ordered the 1/2 dark meat chicken with yellow rice and Tequeños. However, I was given two small leg quarters and an extra piece of white meat--which I didn't ask for--all of which were extremely dry. The portion size has noticeably decreased as well. I was also very concerned to see them using spray cleaner near the food, which poses a risk of chemical contamination. On top of that, the Tequeños were extremely dark and tasted like they had been refried, nearly burnt. Adding to the poor experience, one of the girls behind the counter was playing around and massaging her coworkers while customers were being served. That level of unprofessional behavior is not something anyone wants to see while waiting for their food. I've always liked this place for its fresh rotisserie chicken, but it feels like DoDo's has started cutting corners on both food quality and cleanliness. Paying $19.52 for this meal just didn't feel worth it.
