I stopped by yesterday around 10am and was able to order right away. There's a good amount of drink options as well as food options. I went with a Bananarama cookie iced latte and a ham and cheese croissant. They were able to warm up the croissant for me. The total was $10.12 and I had a $10 gift card. They told me to not worry about the 11 cents which was really nice of them. They have a tip jar for cash tips which I utilized. My food and drink came out pretty quickly and was delicious! Did not know about this place when coming to town, but my partner wanted to stop and as a caffeine fiend I agreed. So glad I did too because it was some of the best americanos we had during our trip to Pittsburgh. I got the Red Vanilla Rooibos tea and it was very flavorful! Super yummy coffee!! The coffee had a wonderful roasted flavor, which I think is hard to find. The cold foam is so thick and rich, I was in heaven!!! To top it off the prices are incredible, and the staff was super friendly too. We went back again before leaving town!! They also rival a huge chain coffee shop just a few doors down, so kudos to them for delivering amazing coffee and not backing down when big chains come to town! Any time I cross the rivers and venture near Shadyside, I try to make a trip to Jitters Cafe. I love this little coffee shop so much - and I do mean little; space in Jitters is very limited. The counter itself is small, there are only a handful of tables, and there isn't really a good spot to stand out of the way to wait for your drink. I inevitably get asked if I'm in line when I'm actually waiting for my order. Navigating the small shop is very worth it though, because they make some of the best drinks I know off. I admittedly tend to order a lavender latte here since other shops only offer lavender seasonally (whereas lavender syrup is always available when I stop by Jitters). And it's always delicious - I love the coffee-milk-syrup ratio in their lattes. I typically just get a drink, although you could easily enjoy a nice coffee date here complete with a pastry or an ice cream. If you're near Shadyside, take advantage of it and visit this great shop - I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the area! read more

I was walking this neighborhood with my son after a visit to a museum and decided to pop in for a drink and a snack. This is a cute little coffee shop surrounded by other businesses so it makes for a nice pit stop when you're already out. I'm an iced mocha girlie so I didn't really check the menu out thoroughly, but they did have the standard fare plus some fun things like Italian sodas and I think ice cream. The iced mocha was delicious, the staff was friendly. The bathroom is down stairs, down a kinda creepy hall. My son said it has "backrooms vibes" which I guess is a good thing? Delicious specialty coffees and such a lovely café. I've been here three times now. On a warm day, the outdoor tables are out, about five or six of them and they get full but turnover is pretty high. On a weekday morning, you might find two or three people in the café on the line. I'm a big fan of their specialty coffees, the spring flavors out now are delicious. Behind the counter, you can see a huge election of syrups, they can really make any flavor for you. Their pastries are pretty limited. I have been coming here since I moved to Pittsburgh and I just love love love Jitters. The location is great and close to so many things that I stop by a couple times a month while running errands for a quick treat. In the summer I love to get a crisp Italian soda with lavender and vanilla syrup or an iced orange oat milk latte (so good, try it!). I love that they have creative specials and offer an array of flavors to add to your drinks. There's plenty of space to sit inside or outside. There are often people working on laptops or socializing, it's a really welcoming vibe. The staff are so friendly, and when it isn't busy I love having a little chat with my favorite baristas there. Always welcoming, always so nice. Prices aren't bad, there's so many options, always friendly staff, and a great location - I'll miss Jitters so much if I ever leave the city. read more

It had a few tables inside filled with people working on their laptops. I grabbed a simple matcha latte and my partner had the drip coffee. The service was fast and both of our drinks were enjoyable. I liked their chalk drawings on the wall and their bags of coffee to-go. They also sold a selection of fresh pastries and bagels in the case. It shares a similar spot next to a nail salon, so it would be very fun to get your nails done than come here for coffee! I really like Jitters a lot. I get my nails done in Shadyside and I always make sure to stop here when I do. Some reasons why I love going here: it is never too busy, they are super friendly and nice, and their lattes are always good! I just hate going to a coffee shop where you have to wait so long to even order. I feel like Jitters is kind of hidden from the main stream. I switch from hot and cold lattes; plain and with flavors, so I have really tried a big range of their lattes. I have yet to receive a latte from them I didn't like and I am pretty picky with my lattes. They have some delicious looking pastries as well but I have yet to try them. The coffee here is pretty good as far as I can tell. You get lots of options for different kinds of milk, so plant based diets are supported, very nice. The guy serving coffee filled my cup way to high and it spilled all over the counter. It is good that they don't skimp on the coffee, but if it was too hot I would have burned my hand because it went on my hand as well. It seems like a nice little spot to go other than the faux pas. It is right next to a hair dresser, so you could get your hair done and then get some coffee. That seems convenient. read more

I've been here before when I was really young with my mom, and I came back today with my boyfriend; we had such a great experience! The workers were very pleasant and made our visit 10x better. I asked for advice on what to get, and our barista surprised me with a wonderful London fog tea latte, which has become a new favorite drink of mine! It was absolutely delicious, I want another right now. We got a great seat outside in the sun, and they brought our drinks right out to us. Amazing service! Cool little gem hidden in a corner of shadyside. While making our way back from a day of exploring shops on the block, my daughter and I noticed jitters cafe. We decided to hop in for a drink to take along on our drive home. The menu had all types of coffee as well as cookies and pastries. My 5 year old daughter got a pop, which was in an old fashioned glass bottle. She thought it was the coolest thing she had ever seen and decided to use the bottle as a vase! I decided on an iced white chocolate mocha. The bill came to 7$. I have to say the staff was some of the nicest people I have ever met. I was trying to carry a pizza, ice cream, cookies, cupcakes, as well as a tea set from the toy store. The workers were so helpful offering me an extra bag and even putting my straw in my drink.
