On a Sunday morning in July, I made a visit to Fig Tree Coffee for a coffee drink. I found myself in the Crafton area, and wanted to visit a local shop. Fig Tree Coffee is a newer coffee shop located in Crafton, right by the elementary school. They serve hot coffee, iced coffee, espresso drinks, tea, chai, and more. In addition to drinks, there are some food options available, along with gift-type items. Directly in front of the building, there is street parking available. There is also a private lot located to the left of the entrance for the entire building. The signage in the windows identifying the business makes it easy to locate. Fig Tree is truly a community coffee shop. It has plenty of seating, and proudly displays pieces of the community it serves. They have a bulletin board with local businesses, community events, and other information. Patrons seem to get their items and utilize the space to hang out and socialize. It is nice to see a place like this being utilized as intended! I stopped here around 8:45 AM, and it was not too crowded. There were a few other patrons in the building and in line ahead of me, but I only had to wait a few minutes to order my drink. It can be sort of overwhelming to try and order here, since the menu is so bare and there are not a ton of "special" drinks advertised. However, the baristas and staff will make anything you really are wanting, so I would not worry about this! They have different flavorings and combinations, you just need to ask or make a combination that you want to try when ordering. The barista that helped me on this visit was lovely. I was not exactly sure what I wanted, so I asked what she typically would order or make for herself. She ended up making me that exact drink in a 16 OZ Iced Drink. I enjoyed getting to try something different that I would not have picked for myself! Service was quick. I was in and out with my coffee in about 7 minutes, and that included waiting in line and taking a minute to order. The prices here are reasonable, and in line with what other local coffee shops are charging for similar products. They do accept both cash and card here, just FYI. I did not purchase any food or pastries, but the coffee prices were right in line with expectations. The vibe of this place is very cool, with a true community cafe feel. I love that they highlight their community. Not only with the people and events, but they even with a wall of Polaroids of the dogs that visit the shop! I even had a dog in line in front of me, so they are dog-friendly here. I give Fig Tree Coffee a positive review, and do recommend giving the shop a try if you find yourself in Crafton or the West End. It is a newer shop, but already has great ambiance and community presence. The staff are friendly, drinks are tasty, it is dog-friendly, and it is a great space to hang out or get some work done. I look forward to future visits to Fig Tree when I find myself in the area. read more

Amazing place with great, cozy ambiance and seating area to grab a drink and a little snack too! The barista was really helpful, and their Pumpkin Spice Latte was lovely to sip, though the flavor wasn't very strong. They source their baked goods from BB & Burr, and wow, they never disappoint! The chocolate chip scone was perfectly flavored and crumbly, can never go wrong with them. Overall, it's a great local spot that's part of the community and definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! read more

Cute little spot with two bonuses - they have their own parking lot and make their own syrups. Tried an iced latte and a breakfast sandwich (they get them from The Speckled Egg so it was good)! The iced latte I tried was average, but I would return to try something owe for sure. Decent amount of seating and several people were there to get some work done or meet with friends. read more

Cute coffee shop in Crafton. Great coffee but was disappointed to see dogs not only allowed in store but with paws on table tops. I would think a responsible dog owner would know better than allow their dogs atop tables in a facility where food is served but if they don't management should step in and put a stop to it. By law I thought the only dogs allowed indoors at restaurants were service dogs. I won't be back until pet policy changes or laws are enforced. read more

I stopped by here this past Sunday with my wife and our twins for our morning coffee. Every Sunday morning we try to hit up a new local coffee shop and on this morning we decided to go to Fig Tree Coffee. This coffee shop is located on Crafton Blvd and has its own parking lot. The inside of Fig Tree is nice with bright wood floors, a bookcase area with some books and merchandise for sale and then plenty of seating. It was also quiet on the morning that we got there and since my son had a loud toy with him, I took him outside after ordering to not bother others. For my coffee on this morning I decided to go with a large latte with honey syrup while my wife went with an iced pumpkin spice latte. Our coffees were ready to go shortly after we ordered and we headed out. My coffee on this morning ended up being just ok. I say that because the coffee taste was quite muted, as was the syrup for that matter too. So while the flavor itself was pleasant, I wanted much more of it. My wife enjoyed her coffee more than me and thought hers was good. The bottom line for me is that I might stop by here again in the future. I thought that the coffee shop itself was bright, cozy and clean and I only wish that my coffee had been stronger. read more

Great spot to work/ study from and or catch up with friends. I went in during the week and was very quiet which was nice. Service was good and plenty of seating inside. Ordered an iced maple latte which was very good. The inside is well kept and I'd definitely stop by again. They have their own parking lot (to the left of the entrance) which is a huge plus. Located in a small commercial strip in a residential section of Crafton with charming homes, stopping in for a refreshing iced tea as a breather on a sweltering hot summers day before continuing our neighborhood stroll. Service was quick as there was no one in line. Offer bags of coffee and other retail goods for sale. Probably the most expensive iced tea I've purchased locally but also surprisingly probably the best. read more

A beautiful, new space with ample parking in an adjacent lot. There are both tables and barstool seating along the windows available. They have small business products for sale on some of their shelves, along with coffee beans and basic brew-at/home accessories. I saw a case with some baked goods too! The service was quick, but I'm deducting a start because the service wasn't very friendly. I wasn't greeted upon entering. I actually had to be the one to say, "good morning!" I had to locate a menu myself. There was just silence in there. The two employees were not talking and there was no music on. It was a little awkward. The latte was delicious, though. Super creamy and she made a beautiful design with the frothed milk. read more

Fig Tree Coffee is a cute little coffee shop in Crafton that I've recently discovered! When I stopped in, there were only a couple other people there working on their laptops, but there was plenty of seating to relax or work there. I didn't see a menu posted anywhere, but they had printed copies at the register. I told the barista it was my first time there and I usually like iced coffees, so he recommended an iced latte with one of their flavorings. I tried the brown sugar flavoring. It was good, but I think I would like maybe the caramel better. I didn't see too many food/pastry options, other than the small display case by the register. They have their own little parking lot which is really convenient! This will be a cute little spot to meet a friend or do some work while enjoying a coffee! read more

Cozy couch seating, bar stools along the window and 2 small tables outside. I had a brown sugar latte and a muffin. Definitely a cute little spot to check out if in the area. The cutest little coffee shop that's perfect for families and groups! My latte was super yummy, and having local goods for purchase was a great touch. I have to go back and try the treats (gluten free available too) but overall was so lovely! Also has some outdoor seating. read more

My sister and I love to go and try new coffee shops in the area and we were pleased with our experience at Fig Tree! Housemade syrups make such a difference when getting coffee! We both got Iced vanilla lattes and they were smooth, yummy, and perfectly sweet. The staff is kind and quick! Prices were very reasonable!! It was very clean inside and cute!! I am a recent transplant from Seattle and I was so excited to taste in of the best cups I've ever had. Lots of great places to sit inside and a table outside as well. It's a very minimalist vibe that I get the feeling will transform into much more with some time. I also have read peoples review which talk about not being friendly. Again I have a feeling that things will transform and we should give them the grace to grow. I look forward to seeing what they create for fall drinks too.
