Dig this coffee shop! They won best coffee in 2025. Easy to see why. They've been around since right around 2013 taking up space in the former post office. It's funny to go in and remember when it was a post office and how it was set up then. I think the first time I actually checked them out wasn't until 2018ish. Shop is super cute and modern with welcoming vibes. You get the same welcoming vibes from the baristas too. In addition to coffee drinks, teas, etc. they have pastries, brekkie and lunch sandwiches, and salads. The lattes, cafe latte, and cappuccino are all top-notch. Community staple! I love getting to stop in here when I'm in the neighborhood. Their matcha is not presweetened which is superb! Thank you for that. Service is always quick and friendly. The food comes up quick and is served hot! The Ashley's breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel really hit the spot! I love all the local art around the shop and little boutique items that are constantly in rotation. My only complaint about this spot is if you're coming to work the WiFi either 1) never works or can't be found so plan to use a hot spot and 2) they have VERY minimal seating options with an outlet. I drove here on the way to the race track as I wanted a good coffee. I parked and walked in. Early on a Saturday morning. I was greeted quickly and the line was short. Placed my order and got a blueberry scone as well. My latte was oh so tasty and the scone was still warm out of the oven it was that fresh. I did drink the coffee while driving but the scone had to wait about 40 minutes but it tasted amazing as well. I highly recommend this location. I wish I lived near by so I could come more often. Parking lot and street parking outside so lots of options. The building is very cute and there's loads of seating. Some merch for sale and other curated goods but nothing that really caught my eye. Service was fast but I was the only one in line at the time. They must get busy because they have a big line queue which while necessary, is uninviting. I ordered a latte and added a flavor shot. Overall I thought it wasn't bad. It wasn't something I'd go out of my way for, but if this was a local spot that I wanted to go sit down and enjoy coffee with a friend then I'd choose here. The scone had potential. They gave me the wrong flavor which I didn't care about, but I ended up with chocolate chip. We literally could have gotten the same coffee at a rest area on the highway. There are outstanding coffee roasters in the Pittsburgh "community" that would love to have Carnegie's business. The quality of the coffee would certainly be better than the commodity level product Lavazza sells them, and Carnegie could put their own branding on their cups instead of promoting the $4B Italian owned coffee company. read more

Huge W. Place has really nice range of coffee with unique seasonal flavors, good food, beautiful free parking lot, nice seating across two floors, free water, outlets. I don't know what else you would want to be honest. It does get a bit loud with all the people coming in so bring headphones if you want to study. read more

On our way to discover a cool coffee place, we discovered this gem. This was close to our hotel and also close to downtown on a street that was having a farmer's market on a sleepy Sunday. Here is the summary of our experience at this amazing place nestled in an old historical building: 1) Ambiance 6/5: The outside doesn't do justice to this amazing place. It looks like an old-world charm historical building that has been turned into a coffee shop. Each nook and corner seems to have a story in itself. This is a great place to hang out with friends or work silently on our laptop as you sip some caffeine. If you want a quieter place, you can opt to sit on the second floor which has an old library-like charm. It also has a small outdoor seating with an old and pretty clock right outside. Along with this they also have some amazing coffee quotes at different corners. 2) Service 5/5: The people at the front were very helpful and helped with the selections. The service was quick and friendly. FYI - There are two different sections - One where we got our coffee and another place where we got our bagel so make sure you keep your ears open for your name. 3) Food 5/5: We stopped here for a quick coffee and a quick bite so our experience is based on it. This place is fantastic! It used to be an old post office and still has some of those elements mixed in with the decor. It has on street parking as well as a paid parking lot across the street. The place is more spacious inside than it looks from the outside with plenty of seating. It's actually two floors. The employees were friendly and efficient. I just truly love Carnegie Coffee - it is the cutest, little local coffeeshop located in a repurposed post office! When I am in town, this is my go-to spot to sit for a few hours for work. Their coffee is delicious - and they have a favorite of flavors to add; my personal favorite are brown sugar cinnamon and english toffee! But I love their food! Most recently, I tried the chicken salad croissant and it was so good. For the side, I've tried the potato soup (which is so hearty and delicious) and the veggie ranch pasta salad (so yum and not too heavy with sauce!). The interior is very spacious and pleasant, with great local artwork on the walls, and the coffee was amazing, to boot. Carnegie Coffee Co. has earned their spot as my favorite coffee shop over multiple excellent visits the past few years. The space itself is really bright and welcoming, with plenty of tables and lots of windows. I've always been able to find a seat, though it does get crowded sometimes. Staff is always really friendly, and drinks are usually ready quickly. I appreciate that they have multiple non-diary milk options, and plenty of food choices. Some of the breakfast sandwiches can get pretty messy, but they're still delicious! The only negative I can think of is that on my last visit I asked for the egg over hard, and it was still quite gooey - but I am confident that if I had asked for this to be resolved, they would have fixed it. Also, I wouldn't recommend getting your sandwich on a biscuit, since they're pretty small. This is a great place to come and spend some time working on a laptop or reading, while enjoying a drink and a snack. read more
