Really cute cafe with a nice outdoor seating area, definitely a good neighborhood coffee spot! It was smooth and perfectly balanced between sweet and bold espresso flavor. They use Nicholas Coffee at this location, which I was familiar with. Good product! This is right in the heart of Aspinwall with all of the shops. It has a few tables to eat in at and was pretty busy for a Thursday morning. I enjoyed one of their fall specials - a twist on a pumpkin spice latte. It was pretty good, maybe not as pumpkin-y as I would have hoped for. I stopped by here this past Sunday with my wife and our twins for our morning coffees. Every Sunday we try to hit up a new local coffee shop and on this morning we decided on Aspinwall Beans and Cream. The inside of Aspinwall beans and cream is interesting. They have your normal counter to order your coffee along with a display case full of pastries. Then there is ample seating both inside and outside they have bright hardwood floors. What is different inside is the decor of the guitars and music paraphernalia all around. For our coffees on this morning I went with a coconut latte while my wife went with one of their specials, a butter pecan ice cream latte. Then she also added a chocolate chip scone. Within a couple of minutes we had our coffees and scone and headed outside to sit down. My coffee here ended up being quite good. Normally I wouldn't go for coconut on its own but since it was a part of one of their summer specials, I decided to chance it. My gamble paid off as it was delicious with a nice and rich coconut flavor without feeling fake or overly sweet. The coffee was noticeable too and I thought it was tasty. My wife enjoyed her coffee and scone too. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. read more

Stopped by this past Sunday AM. Cute little spot with a nice shaded space out front to enjoy a bite and brew. We didn't take advantage of any breakfast sandwiches. Just a black coffee (very weak) and small fruit (strawberry and banana) smoothie. Very sweet and more strawberry than banana. Based on the lack of a dark roast for a coffee shop and weak cup of joe, this would not be my regular spot to enjoy my java on a regular basis. read more

I love coming here. I have stopped by after a doctor's appointment or to meet a friend in a central coffee spot. I always enjoy their music playlist. The self-serve water station is a nice touch. Their staff is always friendly, and I have always had great coffee here. The wifi reaches out to the outside bistro tables, and they are a great spot to get some work done in the summertime. Just here to say, that this was a perfect spot to grab a breakfast sandwich after getting off nightshift. This place checks off all the boxes for after work convenience - easy parking (right out front, street parking), quick service (even with a steady line of customers I was in there less than 10 mins if it was even that), and quality (the breakfast sandwich was delicious, and definitely one I'd go back for). Although I didn't purchase, the pastries looked amazing and the coffee choices were very interesting! ABC is a cute little music themed coffee shop on Brilliant Avenue in Aspinwall. They serve Nicholas Coffee and Dave and Andy's ice cream! The shop is small, but I would recommend it for a work meeting, working remote, or meeting with friends. I usually order a hot latte with almond milk, but have also had just their regular drip coffee. The drinks are always great and the food is good, but not amazing. I do like that they offer egg and cheese on a wrap or bagel, and tuna salad for lunch. They have a few other options, but these are the two things I stick with. Having food options at a coffee shop is important to me since I often start working and end up sitting there much longer than expected. The parking meters outside now accept credit cards and not just quarters - yay! Staff is always friendly and most customers seem like regulars. They have awesome, reasonably priced foods and drinks. Egg and cheese bagel sammies and made-to-order iced coffees are my jam, usually. There's a pretty extensive coffee flavor collection and they have a wonderful outdoor area for sitting on nice days. Lavender and vanilla is my favorite coffee flavor and they have both. :) Their drink specials are cool, too. They had one once that was pineapple and coconut iced coffee, which sounds odd but it was actually amazing. read more

I stopped over here to grab some of their Dave and Andy's ice cream which they are noted for. Since it was an exceptional hot day I skipped on the coffee. You can either get a cone or a cup. The lady told me they come in small, medium and large sizes. She has said to me that the size depends upon the number of scoops that you order. Medium she told me was two scoops. I sampled a couple of their favorites and ended up buying one scoop of strawberry and a scoop of some mores. I was amazed at the fact that it actually cost me a little more I guess because I mixed the flavors. Nevertheless I took it and sat down. They sell sandwiches, Nicholas blend coffee and breakfast pastries.For some reason I was not able to connect to the WiFi but no biggie. Outdoor seating is available. I did like how the place has a rock theme about with special attention to the Beatles. However, I was able to see a "Steelers" guitar hanging there so I like the motif. Even the lamps had music shades on them. My ice cream was good but definitely not on my top hit list. Just drove 20 minutes out of my way. Got there at 2:50. Door says they're open until 3. The doors were locked and they were inside cleaning. You need to stick to your business hours, or change them. That's very frustrating to come out of your way only for the employees to have closed early. A customer outside said it's happened to him a few times too. read more
