Incredible coffee. I am mostly reviewing to compliment their matcha though. It is really hard to find a place that actually makes good matcha lattes. I am extremely picky and particular and redhawk perfects it! The strawberry matcha was rich and full of flavor. They add an appropriate amount of matcha to the latte and it is the perfect shade of green. Service is great and it's really cute inside! Thank you. read more

We were looking for a place for a light brunch. The associate at the counter was very friendly and welcoming. We each had an egg burrito (one with beans, the other chorizo). Both were tasty. The coffee was good. What I liked most about the coffee shop was the customers. Younger and older, very diverse. Everyone was talking, no one was hovering over a piece of technology. Just visited Redhawk Coffee for the first time this weekend, and I'm a fan! They have a simple, streamlined menu - it includes your basic coffee drinks (made with beans they roast in-house, I believe), your basic syrups, and I heard them mention to my friend that they carry some local juice products as well. I ended up getting a mocha, and it was one of the best I've had in a while! In addition to loving the coffee, I really liked spending some time at Redhawk itself. The shop was very clean, and folks could pick between a handful of seating options depending on what they preferred; for example, there were some comfy chairs, but there were also sturdier chairs lined up at a wooden table. And the store had a minimal amount of decor, which helped the charm of the building's old brickwork and tilework shine through. My overall impression was that Redhawk has great drinks, great ambiance, and also very friendly baristas who were fun to chat with while arriving, ordering, and settling in for my coffee date. I'd definitely come back for another brew when in the area (and I'd try to arrive sooner than 3pm, as I suspect my late arrival meant they had run low on pastries and other treats that day). This last tip is something Redhawk has no control over, but it's worth knowing if anyone brings up directions to get here: Google Maps really wanted me to drive up a one-way street to get to the coffee shop. I of course ignored it, found street parking, and walked not even a block's worth of distance back to the intersection that tripped up the app. Hopefully knowing that misdirection is coming helps eliminate some confusion as you make your way through Sharpsburg! read more

I have often stopped at the Oakland location but was excited to try this location out with my husband this morning while we grabbed coffee and had what we call a "house admin meeting" to catch up on some planning and such. We easily found street parking outside (which was conveniently free for the holidays!). The staff inside were very nice and helpful and there were plenty of seating and tables. I was also pleasantly surprised to learn that they had someone making breakfast in the back that you could order (sandwiches etc) he had a great selection which was a nice addition to the pastries normally offered at redhawk. The coffee is always very good here, and I am particularly fond of the mochas that they make with chocolate milk instead of syrup. They are always perfect and not too sweet. It is a great place to stop for a coffee, read, get some work done, or just chat. We will definitely be back! read more

They also sell baked goods and coffee beans and goodies in store. They also have coffee maker tools like chemexes in here. They use good oat milk here from minor figures. Their coffee is good! I liked my latte. It's a regular coffee spot for my friends! The neighborhood it's in is cute too in Sharpsburg. Definitely recommend checking it out if you're looking for a new coffee spot. Excellent coffee and roastery. Their drip is always rotating across origins and blends, so ask what's available that day. They really know their stuff. If you can, stop by on a Tuesday when they roast for epic smells. Limited food, but there are typically some pastries available from local bakeries including a pop up from time to time from the Scone Ranger. Also highly recommend their hot cocoa - they use chocolate milk from a local dairy and are great about supporting the community. Also sooo delicious!! It's a hit with all ages. read more

I stopped by here earlier today with my wife for our morning coffee. Redhawk coffee wasn't our initial destination but after the original place was closed I was happy to see a redhawk coffee roasters nearby as I had been very happy with their Oakland location. This specific redhawk is located on canal street in Sharpsburg and is pretty spacious. The floor is black and white tile and it feels like this may have been a soda counter in a previous life. They have some of their coffee for sale as well as a bunch of Chemex stuff and then the back of the shop has some giant old school speakers. For my coffee on this day I went with a large oatmilk latte while my wife went with a mocha and then we also ordered a hot chocolate and a cappuccino for my in laws. It only took about 5 minutes before we had our coffees and were headed to our car. About 10 minutes later I took my first taste of my coffee and something tasted off to me, almost mayonnaise like. I thought it was because I had just eaten a cream puff and it had blown out my palate. However, even after drinking water and giving it 30 minutes, I still wasn't happy. So I had my wife try it and she confirmed something was off. It's a shame too as this was the same drink I had really enjoyed at their Oakland location. In the end I poured over half of it down the drain, which if you know me, pretty much never happens. I will say that both of my in laws enjoyed their drinks and that my wife enjoyed her mocha, even if it wasn't super chocolatey, so it was likely the oatmilk. The bottom line for me is that I probably wouldn't stop back to this location in the future. While I enjoyed their Oakland location immensely, I think something was off with the oatmilk at this location. read more

Excellent coffee here! Not too busy when we stopped in, and our drinks came out pretty quickly! I had a vanilla milk latte and he had a cappuccino, and he said that the cappuccino was hard, and my latte was absolutely delicious. They also have pastries and other types of coffee here, would highly recommend stopping by! The venue is an old historic building, and they've done a great job of preserving the floors and walls. Stopped in Red Hawk to grab a coffee between appointments. Perks of my job is constantly stumbling into cafes and coffee shops around town. The atmosphere was a bit stale for me but maybe regulars enjoy the hang out spot. I briefly stopped in for a coffee and snack. Their croissants are great! The chocolate ones specifically! I ordered my usual London Fog with lavender but they didn't have lavender. A bit disappointed but not the end of the world. I'd probably explore another pit stop if in the area again and need a quick caffeine fix. read more

Iced Vietnamese coffee good. Chorizo breakfast sandwich was less than promised and served late. It was advertised as having a tomato jam. When they finally had it ready after a long wait, they said they ran out of the tomato jam, which they said is good. Also, part of the long wait was them serving orders made after we arrived. My suggestions to Redhawk: deliver what you sell, and honor the queue. If you can't deliver what is ordered and paid for, you're failing. read more

As I've mentioned before, I love trying different places chai tea lattes. Redhawk coffee did not disappoint! The shop is very cute and pleasing to the eye. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. Some of the people I was with has questions, and the barista was able to answer all of the questions with ease. I think it was priced the same as other places and was delicious. I was informed that they make breakfast sandwiches and burritos on Saturday mornings. I will be back to try those!!
