Fort Pitt Latte
Gracie D.

A great coffee shop in the heart of Dormont. I have visited a few times since discovering the shop, and I have had a positive experience each time! Potomac Station Coffee is a cute neighborhood shop located right along the T line in Dormont. The store is a fair size, and has outdoor and indoor seating. It would be a great place to complete some work or come to socialize. The staff here is always very friendly and accommodating. They are quick with the service and helpful each time I visit. Anytime I visit, I am usually getting a drink off of the monthly specials board. This time, I got the Fort Pitt Latte, which was very good! The flavor combination was familiar but something a little out-of-the-box for a coffee. Also, my dog got a Pup Cup. They are so big and one of my favorites to get for him. Though I have yet to try them, they make their baked goods in the cases. I enjoy seeing the different offerings on their Instagram when they have something new or different out. They all look delicious, and are very generous sizes. In terms of value, I think the pricing is fair. The specialty drinks and monthly specials seem to be more expensive, but I believe you are getting a fair value for the price. I know I will be returning soon, and I hope to try both the baked goods and some of the food options. Plus, they have punch cards for drink purchases, where when you buy 10 you get the next one free. A big plus, and a great way to get me to keep coming back! Make sure to ask for one when you visit.

Potomac Station Coffee in Dormont, is a find!! Located right at the Potomac Sation trolley stop. Super cozy café that serves- breakfast, lunch, homemade pastries plus delicious drinks! They have a seasonal menu that is seriously incredible. Since September is National Library Month- they went with "Pies & Pages"- super cute!! Had a hard time picking from their six featured drinks but went with The Scarlett Apple and am so happy with my choice. This latte is made with homemade syrup and topped with whipped cream and crust crumbles- served hot or iced! I also tried a pumpkin cinnamon roll which is made fresh in-house... wow! This fresh, fluffy, delicious cinnamon roll is topped with the best pumpkin flavor icing! I will be thinking about this for a while.

Brown Sugar Cinnamon Iced Latte & an Asiago Bagel and Shmear

Cozy little shop across the street from Potomac Station. The menu is simple but the varieties are endless! I had a Brown Sugar and Cinnamon Iced Latte & an Asiago Bagel and Schmear. Both were fantastic! The shop itself offers many seating choices. When I went in it wasn't super busy, so the place was quiet. In addition to bagels and sandwiches, they also have fresh baked goods (the cinnamon rolls and banana bread with strawberry cream looked delightful). The decor is cute and the atmosphere is friendly. All in all, I can't wait to go back!

If you want some of the best pastries and coffee in the city, Potomac Station is the place to go. They always have created and curated menus that keep the taste buds happy. I have to stop by every time I'm in Dormont.

Love the vibe of this coffee shop, even had great little bites to eat. Breakfast bagels/sandwiches are tasty

Feta spinach wrap

Great spot to start the day, I got the feta spinach wrap and a toasted marshmallow cold brew with honey cold foam. I love that they can do a cold foam with any flavor and it's really good cold foam, they're not skimping the portion. Definitely happy I got to stop here on my way through town.

Ricotta cheese puff. Soooooo good.

I love this little gem near the light rail tracks on Potomac in Dormont. They have live music sometimes on weekends, outdoor tables as well as indoor seating, just a really nice neighborhood vibe. They also have constantly rotating selections of special drink creations and really delicious food and pastries. It's a great place to stop if you are hungry or just looking for a little treat. Follow their social media to stay in the loop on their current specials so you know what's new before you stop by! I don't think I've had a bad item here, food or beverage, but cannot recommend any variety of these puff pastries enough. Absolutely delicious.

I stopped by here a couple of Sunday's ago with my wife and our twins for our morning coffee. Every Sunday morning we try to hit up a new local coffee shop and on this morning we decided to go to Potomac Station Coffeehouse. This coffee shop is located on Potomac Ave right next to the T station there. The inside is good sized with seating at both high top and regular tables. The area to order your coffee had a couple of pastry displays as well. For my coffee on this morning I went with a large brown sugar cinnamon latte while my wife went with their Ube iced macchiato special and then we also ordered our twins a specialty brownie to share. My coffee here ended up being quite good as I was able to taste the deep and rich coffee flavor throughout. Then the brown sugar added a good sweetness to the drink while the milk helped soften any bitterness. The only item that I felt was missing was the cinnamon, but I still enjoyed it. My wife really enjoyed her Ube macchiato and I was able to taste it and thought it was a unique and tasty creation. Finally my twins devoured the brownie and so i assume that was good as well. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. I loved that I could taste the coffee in my latte and also that they had some innovative flavors.

I'm recently new to the area and just opened a hair salon, I've been trying new coffee places to enjoy and this one has really hit the spot. It has the cutest decor and very friendly welcoming when entering. The menu special items are highlight and the FOOD PORTION SIZES ARE HUGE! The new owner Andrew I had met with on my first trip and I just really loved the service I received. Each time the coffee has been really good, and the food over the top amazing. I love the customer experience I received each time I've been in. I will be back. Such a great place to relax.

Came in for the first time on a rainy Saturday morning around 10:00. I ordered a rosemary vanilla latte (special) and a chocolate biscotti. All of the staff were super friendly and quick with the order. There were about 5-10 other people in the cafe, but it didn't feel crowded at all. They don't have any music playing so it's definitely on the quieter side. I saw a few people working from their laptops. They have high top seating, low tops, couches, etc. They also had a nicely decorated Christmas tree up. The rosemary vanilla latte was amazing. Not too sweet and just the right amount of rosemary - it didn't feel like you were drinking the garden lol. The biscotti was soft, but still crunchy. Very tasty. I'll be back to try the lunch menu options!

such a cute little coffee shop in the small town!! perfect place to study as they have wifi, lots of tables, outlets, and bathroom access. the workers were super nice and made sure everything in my drink was of my preference. i tried the lavender honey latte and it was the greatest latte i've had in awhile. i've been getting used to floral scents and taste, so i highly enjoyed the lavender flavor that was in the drink.

On a Sunday morning in July, I made a visit to Fig Tree Coffee for a coffee drink. I found myself…read morein the Crafton area, and wanted to visit a local shop. Fig Tree Coffee is a newer coffee shop located in Crafton, right by the elementary school. They serve hot coffee, iced coffee, espresso drinks, tea, chai, and more. In addition to drinks, there are some food options available, along with gift-type items. Directly in front of the building, there is street parking available. There is also a private lot located to the left of the entrance for the entire building. The signage in the windows identifying the business makes it easy to locate. Fig Tree is truly a community coffee shop. It has plenty of seating, and proudly displays pieces of the community it serves. They have a bulletin board with local businesses, community events, and other information. Patrons seem to get their items and utilize the space to hang out and socialize. It is nice to see a place like this being utilized as intended! I stopped here around 8:45 AM, and it was not too crowded. There were a few other patrons in the building and in line ahead of me, but I only had to wait a few minutes to order my drink. It can be sort of overwhelming to try and order here, since the menu is so bare and there are not a ton of "special" drinks advertised. However, the baristas and staff will make anything you really are wanting, so I would not worry about this! They have different flavorings and combinations, you just need to ask or make a combination that you want to try when ordering. The barista that helped me on this visit was lovely. I was not exactly sure what I wanted, so I asked what she typically would order or make for herself. She ended up making me that exact drink in a 16 OZ Iced Drink. I enjoyed getting to try something different that I would not have picked for myself! Service was quick. I was in and out with my coffee in about 7 minutes, and that included waiting in line and taking a minute to order. The prices here are reasonable, and in line with what other local coffee shops are charging for similar products. They do accept both cash and card here, just FYI. I did not purchase any food or pastries, but the coffee prices were right in line with expectations. The vibe of this place is very cool, with a true community cafe feel. I love that they highlight their community. Not only with the people and events, but they even with a wall of Polaroids of the dogs that visit the shop! I even had a dog in line in front of me, so they are dog-friendly here. I give Fig Tree Coffee a positive review, and do recommend giving the shop a try if you find yourself in Crafton or the West End. It is a newer shop, but already has great ambiance and community presence. The staff are friendly, drinks are tasty, it is dog-friendly, and it is a great space to hang out or get some work done. I look forward to future visits to Fig Tree when I find myself in the area.

They source their baked goods from BB & Burr, and wow, they never disappoint! The chocolate chip scone was perfectly flavored and crumbly, can never go wrong with them. Overall, it's a great local spot that's part of the community and definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

You place your order on a touch screen and everything is cashless except a cake they had on the counter for $5. My friend wanted to purchase the cake, but they didn't have the ability to ring her up for it with her card. Neither of us had cash on us and the sweet woman behind the counter gave my friend the cake and said, "stop by whenever you have the cash." She was so nice. I ordered the mango sticky rice because it sounded intriguing. I've never had it before and I didn't really know what to expect. The textures were good for me: chewy, some chunks of mango, saucy. I just thought whatever syrupy mango sauce/jam they put on top is way too sweet for my personal preference. I had a few bites and brought the rest home. I'll probably use the mango sticky rice as a plain greek yogurt topping.

I actually used to go to all the Coffee Tree Roasters locations quite regularly as they were the standard for coffee for me. For whatever reason though, I had stopped going and so I was interested to see how it stacked up. The inside of this shop is clean with a bunch of different tables to sit at, some merchandise on the back wall and then a refrigerator case near where you place your order. For my coffee on this morning I didn't see any of the holiday specials that I was looking for and so ultimately decided to go with a peppermint latte while my wife went with a peppermint mocha. My peppermint latte here left a lot to be desired unfortunately. The peppermint syrup was too strong and so my coffee sort of tasted like toothpaste with an aftertaste of coffee. Even if the coffee tasted good, which it did, as you might imagine the whole drink itself wasn't ideal. The one good thing is that my wife did enjoy her coffee drink here.
