Met a friend in the strip and of course we had to try the roaming bean because I hear nothing but good things about their coffee truck. I didn't realize they had a brick and mortar, what a cute & cozy spot. The workers were very friendly and we received our orders promptly! Decorated very cute inside, I especially loved the dog pictures and the cute wooden coffee beans in the ceiling.
We had a good experience here! Would have loved to see more variety of different flavored drinks, but overall enjoyed our coffees. It is in a great location and the ambiance is cute. The latte was extremely sweet, so next time would probably get something else.
We stopped by a local farmers market where the Roaming Bean truck was visiting. This was my first time trying this spot and I ordered a mango passionfruit refresher. My drink was so yummy and I loved that you could really taste the mango flavor. This coffee truck is known for their specialty lattes, so this spot is perfect for coffee lovers. So glad I finally got to try the Roaming Bean!
Love The Roaming Bean! They post their weekly schedule on Instagram which makes it easy to find them when they're in your area. This was my second visit, and both times, their drinks were very good! They have a fun seasonal menu with creative drink options to choose from. This time I ordered the Iced Raspberry White Chocolate Mocha, and it was delicious! The staff was super friendly and service was very quick.If you see them out and about, make sure to stop and check them out!

At 7 dollars A few spots across the street is legit PGH parking 1.65 for 30 min Parking garage not far but $7 for a short time is a pass I do love their coffee and it's worth getting
I think The Roaming Bean is infamous at this point, at least in the general Pittsburgh area. They operate multiple mobile coffee stands (AKA food trucks but for coffee) and can be found in different neighborhoods throughout the week. They also make regular appearances at a couple local markets (Janoski's and Simmons) and can be booked at private events. They have a reputation for serving some of the tastiest specialty lattes. And I don't mean, like, vanilla lattes; think more along the lines of Blackberry Raspberry Chocolate Chip lattes. Their menu rotates regularly, so you can expect to see different flavors during different seasons. Their current menu, for example, is quite festive since it's December. (They don't appear to have kept the s'mores latte this year though...a shame!) I love their drinks, if you couldn't tell, but these are definitely the kind of drinks where you taste the syrups and added flavors more than the coffee itself. I'm mentioning that since the number one complaint I see from people is that the drinks can be too sweet or they wish the coffee was stronger. I personally love The Roaming Bean; I'm a latte lover with a sweet tooth, so their fancy drinks are a delectable treat for me. (Also they regularly sell Oram's goodies as well - I always get one of those to go!) It's absolutely worth finding a Roaming Bean truck and giving one of their drinks a try; just remember that they're insanely popular, so be patient as you make your way through the line.
The cutest little coffee truck! The employees were so nice and the coffee was delicious. They had some pastry items too that looked sooo good but I ended up not getting one (dumb decision on my part). Also took us to a free event that we had no idea was happening, we were only in Pittsburgh for the day. Loved this!!

I stopped by here this past Sunday with my family for our morning coffee. Every weekend we try to hit up a new local coffee shop and on this morning it happened to be The Roaming Bean. I had found this place on Yelp and did not realize they were actually a coffee trailer even though the name probably should have given it away. In a nice coincidence for us, they were set up at Labriola's which was about two minutes from where we already planned to go. So we headed over. Since this is a coffee trailer there is not too much to say about the setup. It is painted black and I believe they had three employees working the day we were there. That turned out to be a good thing because the line was long, but it moved quickly. For our coffees I ordered a hot Bananas For You Latte while my wife went with an iced Raspberry Waffle Cone. My latte was described as a banana and amaretto flavored latte topped with whipped cream and banana chips. My wife's drink was described as a madeleine, caramel and cinnamon flavored latte topped with raspberry cold foam, waffle pieces and sprinkles. From the time we ordered to the time we had our drinks in hand was less than five minutes, so we were quickly on our way. My coffee ended up being pretty good. The amaretto flavor was the most noticeable with the banana coming through second but still present. It did not overpower the coffee itself which stayed rich and noticeable in the background. The banana chips were interesting. I liked the idea and the flavor, but trying to get them out of a hot to go cup was a bit awkward. My wife also enjoyed her drink and especially liked the flavor along with the waffle cone pieces. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. We both enjoyed our coffees and I would be interested in trying more of their seasonal drinks.
I've been a long time fan and have gone to many pop-up locations, but it's great to have an all the time location whenever you want that special coffee treat! The cafe is cute and well decorated. Service was friendly and quick! Even got a pup-cup, which is arguably the most important thing! Very walkable from downtown or the Strip!

The ingredients were high quality, you could taste the flavors but they weren't too sweet, and you get a lot of the drink with the crushed ice compared to cubes at most places.

It was a pleasant surprise and we knew we had to seize the opportunity to finally get this mobile coffee shop. They had an assortment of baked goods on display outside and a fall features menu. We both chose lattes from the fall menu, one hot and one iced. The staff were friendly and you could tell they were working hard to keep up with the crowd. Our beverages were ready in less than 3 mins. The drinks are one size, as far as I could tell, and are priced at the higher end ($8-$9). They are tasty and you can tell extra work is put into the presentation.
YOU NEED TO LOCATE A ROAMING BEAN TRUCK ANS GO ASAP!! truly they are so amazing! Especially right now (December) the winter menu is so amazing. I look to find a truck close to me every week because I can't get enough! I recommend to everyone who loves coffee. I have only tried one bakery item and it was a cream filled donut. It was good little too much icing for me but that's a personal preference. The staff has been kind at each location I have gone to and they move as quickly as they can. The trucks are so cute and have all been decorated for the time of year/to match the menu. Highly recommend!!
Opened an hour early for the marathon! Huge menu with the friendliest staff. They were there to answer any questions and were able to modify their honey lavender latte to sub with matcha instead. They mentioned their matcha is not ceremonial grade and on the sweeter side but I was not expecting it to be as sweet as it was. Still a good matcha but I wish they used a slightly higher grade for the price of their drinks. Great location and didn't wait long at all. Highly recommend! read more
First time trying because they are typically very busy but today I was able to get in early! All the staff are very friendly, attentive, and helpful! The store is a bit small when an abundance of people are in it but when it is not packed, the overall vibe is very chill and cute (if you like dogs, you will love the photos). For me, I would have to say that my favorite out of the options I got was the caramelized banana latte. The other two, French toast & cookie butter, were just alright to me! The donuts, Oreo & sprinkle, had amazing toppings and filling but the donut itself was dry. read more

Everything felt up to the same standard and it was wonderful. Prices are the prices. Each item was just over $8 a piece. Adds up and not ideal - however, are they all delicious? Yes, absolutely. The cutest little coffee truck! The employees were so nice and the coffee was delicious. I've always had great experiences getting coffee through the Roaming Bean! I love the fact that there's a rotating seasonal menu. Surprisingly the coffees aren't too sweet, which is great! Every time I go to a truck, the employees are also very nice! This is a great Pittsburgh business that I'll continue to support! read more

I have had The Roaming Bean several times and it is always wonderful! The staff is so friendly and are always kind to both me and my dog. The Waffle Cone (and all seasonal variations) are very good, and I have never had a coffee from here I did not like. They publish their weekly schedule to their Instagram page since this is a roaming food truck-type business! read more
Who would've thought that a little camper pumping out espresso drinks and fancy little lattes would be so busy! I was able to visit them when they were at Janoski's Farm in Clinton on 4/19. I had seen them on Instagram and I was so excited, lo and behold, I did not know that specific location was going to have no parking available due to an event being put on by the farm in regard to Easter (not from that area). Safe to say, I was not pleased about the distance I had to walk to get to them LOL (not their fault) I got in line at 10:20 AM and did not get back to my car until 11:05. Had to have been maybe 30-ish people in front of me? So just an FYI, don't plan on visiting if you can't stand and wait wherever they may be! I decided to go with the Coconut Cadbury Egg Latte and I'm so glad that I did! The flavors were great, and I enjoyed chewing on the "Easter grass" and getting my little treat of the chocolate eggs when I was done I ordered the Chocolate Chip Cookie Cold Brew for someone else and this is the reason that I'm knocking down a star (not due to the drink itself) Standing at the window and trying to see the menus that were out of view from the side without leaving my spot in line, I went to order saying that I wanted a "chocolate chip cookie dough- or whatever it's called, I'm sorry" in which I get corrected saying "you mean the chocolate croissant latte?" well, no because thats a completely different drink off the menu, so I tried to tell them that I didn't know what it was actually called & apologized again, but mentioned that I know it's a chocolate chip cookie drink. *blank stare* This is when I stepped back out of the line so I could see what the drink's government name was so I wasn't ostracized any longer and as I'm doing that I hear "oh, you mean the cold brew" ... YEP! whew, what a wipe your brow moment. I understand they were busy and maybe overloaded mentally but when I'm saying almost the exact menu item and you suggest something completely different, I was a bit puzzled! May be trivial, but I felt like I was speaking a different language due to this interaction lol The drinks probably took 1-2 minutes to come out to me, maybe even less. There were other people standing next to me, so they called my coconut latte and I snagged it, and then when they called the cookie chip chocolate dough brew (sorry i must've forgot again), I had looked at the people standing next to me as if they were also waiting for a drink (didn't want to take their's first if that was the case) and the person working inside that took my order said "yep, that's the cold brew you ordered".. alrighty then! So yeah, the drinks are great, they taste good, but service wise I'm just not pleased! Was it something I said? Was it my face? Was it my outfit? Did i stink?? Jokes aside, glad I got to experience the craft drinks but don't know if I'll come back unless I know that specific person isn't working at the pop-up truck I decide to go to. read more

The Roaming Bean came to PPG Place earlier this week. The Croissant Latte literally was topped with whipped cream and a mini croissant! How cute is that. They also carried "stuffed" cookies (forgot who the purveyor was) which were tasty (these ones, you can nibble on throughout the day; too much to eat all at once). The people in the truck were super friendly and helpful. If they come back I'd get more coffee and treats for sure. Great place (if you can catch them!) read more
This mobile coffee trailer definitely has a unique concept when it comes to their drinks! I do like that they add a little twist to each different flavor. I tried the chocolate croissant latte. The croissant was probably the tastiest part about the latte. The drink itself wasn't that special. The brownie flavor is definitely overpowering, I could taste a bit of the almond but you would have never guessed there was a Madeleine flavor as you wouldn't be able to taste it. I would rate the latte a 6.8/10 -I also bought a few chocolate chip cookies, I believe they may be from a bakery as some of the packing have stickers on the back of them with a name. The cookies had no flavor which I was disappointed with because I love a chocolate chip cookie. One more thing is that it may be a bit overpriced! I don't think it's worth what I've spent. read more

Finally tried them after seeing so many of their delicious creations. Found out they would be at Washing & Jeffersons Cameron Stadium today. Staff was incredibly nice and their set up is so cute!! All of their baked goods looked to die for. I got their iced pumpkin pie latte, yum!! Tasted EXACTLY like pumpkin pie. Service was fast. read more

This cute little coffee stand was at the end of my race in North Park. Service was great and very quick for how busy it was! Tons of pastries and drink options. The specialty drinks are VERY sweet, but I asked for less syrup in mine and it was good. I got the chocolate croissant latte and my husband got the pb&j latte. They also have Orams cinnamon rolls! Have had coffee from them a few times at various events and I always enjoy seeing them! Fun flavors as someone who likes sweet drinks, just be prepared for a possible mess as sometimes they put whole (yummy) treats on top of a pile of whipped cream minus a lid. I have been wanting to try this place for a while now, I finally got the chance the other day and they certainly didn't disappoint. I got the banana split iced latte and it was insanely good. Just the right amount of coffee : sweetness. It's definitely worth tracking them down. read more

If the Roaming Bean is in your area, you have to try it out. I couldn't wait to get there after seeing such good reviews and photos of their drinks on my social media feeds. I got the iced oatmeal crème pie latte and it was incredible -- the cold foam with oatmeal cookie crumbles on top were the icing on the cake! They also have a ton of baked goods for sale -- I wanted to know where everything was from but after they said Nancy B's cookies, nothing else mattered and I was sold. The baristas also gave me a pup cup for my little pal. read more
