Most Chinese restaurants are almost as similar to each other as the average fast food place, particularly for lunch. So the question is whether this particular one will quell your Chinese jones in your neighborhood or when you're in the area. I would say Jing Xin's does OK. The restaurant is done in faux leather brown and kitchen yellow, decent colors for an appetite. I would say the decor is sparse for a Chinese place, but quite comfortable. The restrooms were clean and functional, decorated much like the dining room. I ordered the General Tso's chicken lunch plate. Service was very polite and attentive, and the food was obviously made fresh. In my case it didn't take too long to make. The plate was quite attractive, there was attention to how the food looked on the plate. And I would say the egg roll and fried rice were good. I had the wonton soup, and I particularly liked that they made their wontons smaller than usual--I got three that were somewhat large bite size, rather than the usual huge one that you have to cut or struggle to eat in one bite. All the items seemed to be lower in sodium than I usually find at a Chinese place. My main concern, and kind of a significant one, is that I didn't like the chicken that much. General Tso's is traditionally a spicy dish, but despite having visible pepper this one wasn't. It was very sweet. The breading was decently crisp but in order to get there they overcooked the chicken, it was quite chewy and dry. Jing Xin's offers combination plates for dinner, which is a big factor in whether my family would go. In many Chinese restaurants you get a large entree portion but have to order appetizers and sides separately. That and the other positive things will get me to try again sometime and order something different. read more

I used to love their food. We order their from since 2011. Sadly something changed and the food was not that great. Sweet and Sour chicken had vegetables that made it soggy. Sweet and Sour sauce was not great. The garlic sauce used to be a little thick and tasty. The new sauce is so watered down, that it lost its flavor. Eggrolls not good. I feel like this is an Americanized Chinese restaurant. It's not bad, but it's not Chinese. First of all, we've ordered four dishes and we found the exact same vegetables in every dish. It's almost as if they use the same veggies and just throw different sauces on them. Same veggies in wonton soup as the ones in the beef stir fried dishes. All of the dishes lack an authentic Asian flavor and sometimes it felt like the sauces were just straight from a packet. Yes, the meat is fresh and yes the vegetables are very fresh, but the taste just isn't there for me. The other reviews give this place good ratings; but, if you want real Chinese food, you may be disappointed. However, if you want Americanized Chinese food, this place ain't bad. The delivery took 80 mins, and the delivery driver blamed traffic (I live less than 2 miles away). Based on others' opinions, we tried the pan fried pork dumplings, the crab Rangoon, and the general Tso chicken lunch special. The dumplings came with tasty sauce. The wrapping was thicker and doughier than I'm used to, but the flavor was good. The crab Rangoon was deliciously light with a hint of onion in the cream cheese. The general Tso was very good, but the chicken was soggy with sauce. That tends to happen with delivery, but it was definitely more spongy than crispy. The fried rice really is excellent. The hot & sour soup was my whole reason for ordering. It was all hot with no sour, with a definite beefy/mushroomy taste that overwhelmed it. read more

However have moved further away from my familiar restaurants and decided to try one closer to me for lunch as my wife and I have both been sick. L24 is typically sliced beef with snow peas. I love snow peas! Got home and set down to eat and the first thing I noticed was that my egg drop soup looked funny. I definitely had a lot of eggs in it but the solution looked watery. I ate it as that was really what I needed most. I then opened the basic meal dish and the sliced beef looked more like sliced tripe. I tried a bite and could not get it down. Normally, this lunch comes with an egg roll. No egg roll. They will not see me again and to get to the next Chinese restaurant I have to pass this place and will gladly do so! read more

Jing Xin's is as good as chinese take-out (or eat in!) gets! We order from here almost once a week and have tried most of the dinner options. The sweet and sour chicken is perfect, the honey chicken is a unique favorite, as is the spicy mongolian beef. The general tso's is also awesome, and we are big fans of the egg rolls and fried rice. The food is always fresh and hot, and done right every time. The owners and staff are extremely friendly, and since we are regulars, they will many times throw in little extras at no charge. Very delicious food. Warm atmosphere. I will be returning. Quality Chinese food at a fair price. I had the Special Chow Mei Fun. It is a spicy dish, but is nicely balanced. It's not overwhelming, and you can taste the fresh vegetables that are cooked into the dish. Not very greasy. They give Police/Fire/EMS discounts as well which is a plus. Our server was sweet but spoke so little English it was difficult to ask questions about the menu (there are no descriptions on the menu), it frankly got frustrating that we couldn't communicate at all. Food was ok, we got crab rangoons, chicken soup with rice, chicken with Chinese egg plant, and sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. The rangoons were good, my husband said they were much more home made than other places. The chicken and rice in the soup were great but the broth a little bland. Food was hot when it was brought out and very fresh looking. Soup had chunks of things in it instead of unidentifiable slivers like most places. Crab puffs were original and the cream cheese was not overpowering. the chicken was real chicken, not over breaded. Nice flavor on sauce and very fresh broccoli was served with it. Very fresh tasting and not greasy at all. The only thing that tasted terrible was the Wonton Soup. It was basically wontons in water. It had no flavor at all. Egg rolls were terrible. I ordered the General Tso's chicken but it tasted like Orange Chicken. There was 0 spice to it. It even had a lighter color that what i'm used to from other places. My husband ordered cashew chicken and everything was fresh and tasty except for the cashew's themselves. They were really stale and soft. I was in the mood for some good Chinese food and I saw that this place had pretty good ratings. We had an order of orange chicken with fried rice. The rice was pretty decent but we were definitely not a fan of the orange chicken. The sauce was good but the chicken was very dry and did not feel fresh at all. There were some parts of the chicken that were just hard. I will compliment their egg roll which was pretty good. We also had an order of vegetable chow mein noodles. We did not eat this dish as the entire thing had a taste of burnt oil. We had an order of cashew chicken that we also did not eat much of. The chicken was paper thin and I am not entirely sure if it was just the skin of the chicken as it had a very chewy texture and it was very thin. I have never had this dish before and I am not sure if this is what it is supposed to be like so I won't take too much away for it. Finally, we had an order of spicy chicken wings as an appetizer. The wings were pretty good but honestly seems like they are from the frozen section at a grocery store. Overall I will give this place 2 stars. The sauces on both the orange chicken in the cashew chicken were pretty good but the texture was a dealbreaker on both. read more

I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS BUT, the food at this restaurant is so bad that I HAVE TO, for the good of the people. My girlfriend got Malaysia Generally Tso's chicken (which is basically a brown curry sauce that was made from the inside of Sadam Hussein's dead butthole). When we told them we didn't like it, the waiter just shrugged his shoulders and took it to the kitchen. Like, what the heck? Plus, I ordered just regular general Tso's chicken which is so garlicy that it smells and tastes like they blended 20 cloves of garlic and corn syrup in a magic bullet until it turned to a sauce. The point is, I will never return..if I could give this place 1% of a star I would. And I would give them that much, just for the fact that it is technically a restaurant. read more
