Justin was the best manager 10/10 would definitely recommend coming here. Great food great atmosphere

We had a great family dinner her and everything was delicious. It was so much fun to try out different flavors and the staff was very helpful and friendly. It's in a strip mall so it Durant look like it's going to be much when you get there so don't let that fool you. My only complaint would be the alcohol selection. Only sake, a couple of beers and rice/plum wine. Wish there would've been a white Chardonnay or red Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot or red blend. read more

Jin BBQ - Korean Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

I have been here twice now and both times have been a great experience!! Found this place when I was looking for a Korean BBQ that had corn cheese (I love corn cheese) and Jin BBQ did not disappoint! I enjoyed everything that I have tried beyond the corn cheese haha The first time I was here was back in Aug 2021. I recently stopped by with my boyfriend for his birthday dinner this past month and it's just as good as we remembered it being! We ordered the Jin Combo 1 with the kimchi stew (so yum), and a seafood pancake. My boyfriend was not a big fan of the dipping sauce that accompanied the pancake (I thought it was ok) but the pancake itself makes up for it, in my opinion. It's fluffy and crispy and has so much seafood in it!! The cuts of meat that came with the combo was great! The beef short rib was my favorite and the brisket was my boyfriend's favorite. I regret not ordering each individual meat separately because I remembered how good the pork belly was last time I came. I wasn't a huge fan of the pork jowl (it was our first time trying it) but if you typically like pork jowl and the accompanying beef cuts in the combo, I think it's worth it. I loveee the steamed egg (and corn cheese) on the sides. The people that work here are pretty attentive and nice, and it's super easy to get service since they have the little button. Really wish they had lettuce leaves on the side to make little lettuce wraps but really not a dealbreaker. I also love how close the vent is placed above the grill (I hate having my hair/clothes smell like the smoke but it really wasn't bad here)! As much as I like AYCE Korean BBQ, it's hard to want to settle for AYCE KBBQ when you've experienced Jin BBQ lol It's such a treat! read more

Came here last Sunday for a friend's birthday dinner around 7pm. It actually wasn't crazy packed that day so we were seated right away. We got two tables next to each other. I think we had maybe 13 people. We ordered 2 large beef combos, soju, and a couple of beers. This place never disappoints. Meat quality has always been good every time I've been here! The kimchi soup that came with the combo was soooo good and spicy! I wish we got more of that! I didn't really care for the soju and beer since we day drank in downtown Phoenix and old town prior. They did give a bottle of soju free since it was a birthday. I highly recommend ordering the beef combo to make things easier but you can also order a la carte if you prefer. read more

Came here for my besties's bf bday as they wanted to try Korean BBQ for their first time with their fave korean girl! So i said lets do it and check this place out together out of all the options she sent me Jin was the one. So we came on a weekday evening, the place had quite a crowd already but we got seated immediately. We ordered the fried rice for my god daughter and it wasn't the greatest but prolly will never order that again. Then we got the short ribs, and spicy pork, and thin beef slices. All the meat cuts and seasons were delish, no complaints there. The side dishes were all really good and tasty as well, their green onion salad was superb!! I enjoyed it so much we had a few rounds of them coming to the table. Service is great, fast, and attenuative. the servers check on you so frequently we had to tell them we wernt ready a few times before ordering! thats how good service is here. not to mention food quality is awesome! DEF a fan and cant wait to come back for more! read more

Jin BBQ - Korean Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

Jin BBQ is the best Korean BBQ spot in PHX in my opinion. I probably go here once a week because of how much I love the food and service. I think the meat that they serve is the freshest and best quality meat. I've gotten a chance to try some other KBBQ spots but their meat doesn't come close to the quality at Jin. They also offer free cheesy corn and omelettes which cook right next to your grill as you cook the meat. Their service is also miles ahead of any other competitor. Waiters are always there as soon as you need them and they even have a button at each table that you can press to have someone come and help out. The waiters are all very knowledgeable and give great recommendations and will even grill for you if you ask. I had never had pork cheek before so I asked one of the waiters to tell me how to cook it and she went above and beyond and offered to cook it for my friends and I. Ambiance is decent too. It's located near the H-mart so you can get some shopping done before or after your meal. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good Korean BBQ restaurant. read more

My friend and I have been coming here for 4 years now, almost once a month recently. Under new ownership/management every single one of our favorite things that made this place incredible are gone. The grill tops with sections for cheese corn and egg have been replaced by a plain flat metal plate. They also no longer serve a side of cheese corn, and the steamed egg is only available with a combo meal or covered in cheese with an extra $9 charge. They swapped out their house salad which had a really delicious dressing and changed a lot of the classic complimentary sides. The meat portions are suddenly smaller and for the first time ever we had to order a second plate just to feel full. The employees are always kind and very politely explained to us some of the changes over the past few weeks during our visits but now it just feels like a completely different experience. The music and the decor are the same with some additions to the wall art which I did like. Overall I'm just really disappointed that a place I came to for so long because of the consistency has changed so drastically in such a short time and I honestly don't know if I can come back. read more

Number 1 in the World!... ...of Arizona ...for 2022 The Main proud sponsors are: Beef and Pork with delicious Ban Chan as supporting cast! If you come, they will build the grilled magic! Cheese corn? Check! Korean steamed egg? Check! Soju? Check Check! Be ready to roll on this experience you'll soon not forget. Having been here a few times, with Dr. Joyce W. and Michael, we needed a great place that accommodates late night. Enter Jin BBq! They close at 12am! Plus they have Soju :) We ordered the #2 selection(again!) with amazing beef, both marinated and non-marinated including a huge steak! Pork which included cheek(?), pork belly, marinated pork. Not for the weak of heart but enough for a week! Please see photo. At one point I was eating so voraciously and with Gusto, I almost ate my fingers! The staff is super attentive and fill your ban chan plentiful. I enjoy seeing familiar faces when being here. The night we arrived at 9:30pm, they never rushed us out and were completely serviceable. Makes for a comfortable setting. Jin BBq gets busy but moves along quickly. Never disappoints plus they have soju. Enjoy! read more

I've been going to Jinn BBQ for most of my special occasions since 2023 and today is the day that this tradition changes. New ownership has overhauled the menu, changed all of the utensils, and drastically changed my experience for the worse. The utensils are all golden now. The rice bowls are smaller and more shallow as well as all of the platters for the sides are no longer bowl depth as they are now plate with a lip depth. That means you get less rice and less sides. The biggest offense in my opinion is the change of grill type. My girlfriend and I have come to love the grill with the 3 side dish areas around it that we bought a similar one on Amazon at home. The new grill is just an oversized flat grill with holes. This in turn doesn't allow us to get our steamed eggs to get cooked the way we have come to love it. They no longer absorb the wonderful aromas and flavors of the meats they surround and they no longer get nice and cooked like we love. The eggs come in a separate dish, steamed, but with a bunch of water at the bottom of the dish. The eggs are very disappointing, I could barely tell they were the same recipe. The menu has also changed, you get the mostly similar "Jin" combos 1, 2, 3 but my favorite combo, the beef combo for 2-3 was removed. It was changed with the beef combo 1. Which mostly included the same meats. The beef bulgogi tasted similar as well as the brisket, but the skirt steak was terrible. The portions were very small, I would argue a 50-75% reduction in its size/mass. They went from looking like your pointer and middle finger together to looking like your thumb. Also the meat visibly looked paler and tasted of a lower grade. My girlfriend even ate 3 tough chewy pieces back to back while mine were passable. All in all I let alone my girlfriend and I will not be going here anymore. We are very sad, bordering a depressive state on this change. The place we came to love, that we would always be happy spending close to $150 on every month has disappeared. Although it passes as Korean BBQ, and it's a little cheaper, the overall ambience of the place was ruined by the changes above. Good luck in future endeavors. read more

My husband says five-star but I give it a four-star. He claims their meats are premium. I thought their meats were average. Sides included cheesy corn and egg that cook as your meats cook on side of pan, which was a nice accompaniment. Other sides include rice, salad, kimchee, pickles, macaroni salad. Overall great dinning experience. A quick dinner in and out in less than 1 hour. Servers were very attentive. Does get crowded but you can check in on Yelp! Late night menu includes fried chicken wings. read more

Pricy but delicious I really liked Jin BBQ - all the meats were delicious and the marinades were perfection. This is the first KBBQ restaurant I've been to where the fluffy egg and corn cheese sides are prepared on the side of the grill, and it was way better than other places I've been in Phoenix where it's served on the side. Or at least, it had the perception of being better because you could watch that cheese melt! My table went with the Jin Combo 2 because it had a good mix of beef and pork options. It's the priciest option but I don't have any regrets. It served 5 people pretty comfortably. I'm a sucker for bulgogi and the spicy pork bulgogi and grilled bulgogi were so so good. One of the pork cuts (might have been the pork jowl) visibly shrunk on the grill as it was cooking and it tasted amazing. All that being said, it is on the expensive side - $40 a person for my table of 5 for a combo plate. Maybe it's less authentic, but I've enjoyed Manna a lot in the past - it was cheaper and all you can eat, so you had the chance to try a little bit (a lotta bit) of everything at Manna. At Jin you had to commit to a combo or order things a la carte and get served a set amount of meat (though the portion was definitely enough to fill my table of 5). I would probably keep going to Manna in the future because of the price and all you can eat style, but I think the quality of the meat was better overall here at Jin. read more

"Koreans must spend a lot of time washing dishes." ― Jimmy Kimmel, Ugly Delicious Did you know that Jin BBQ was ranked #1 Korean restaurant for Arizona on Yelp's Top KBBQ list for the year 2022? Jin BBQ is pretty legit. Our table ordered the Jin Combo 2 ($150). Although there were four of us, there was a surplus of food! It was a meat paradise and it was a delicious one at that. I like that you can get more corn cheese and steamed egg whenever you change your grill. Gimme that cheese! Gimme ALL the cheese! Service needs a little work though. There was one really hardworking guy and one girl that tried to run away and avoid eye-contact. This place also gets pretty warm so try to avoid sitting by the doors and windows. read more

This place is AMAZING. Clean dining room, excellent quality meat, and even greater service! Unfortunately I didn't get our server's name (black hair with blonde highlights, very fashionable, my aunts kept saying he looks like a Korean actor lol), but I wanted to give him a shoutout for giving us such a great dining experience. He cooked our meat for us and made sure to cater to every whim, all while being incredibly friendly and conversational. He mentioned Jin was modeled after LA Korean BBQ restaurants and as someone who's from LA, I can definitely confirm it's exactly like the ones back home. Really enjoyed Jin BBQ. We came as a group of 11 so had to wait roughly ~20 minutes or so which wasn't too bad since the alternative would have been 2.5 hours at another place. Menu was extensive and covered all the typical favorites at a Korean establishment. We ordered one of the combos each for our two tables and went from there. Sides were great and kept coming so be sure to eat and reorder. They are part of the meal so you will not be charged extra. The daikon radishes were amazing and was a nice alternative to the lettuce wraps I usually do with my grilled meats. Meats are fresh and really delicious - the pork belly and bulgogi were on point. One thing to consider is you will be cooking your own meats here so be sure there are 1-2 people that can help with that as it can get a bit smokey. Overall Jin BBQ was fun, lively and had excellent customer service. Go enjoy some good eats with your friends and family read more

THE BEST KOREAN BBQ! This spot is known for being a top Yelp spot and deservingly so. The quality of their meat compared to an all you can eat place like Gen is worth the money. The service is always great, they are very helpful and make sure you're taken care of. They play music later at night which is nice and creates an amazing environment with lights and the smell of the meat on the grill. I've been here 10+ times and it's ALWAYS consistent! read more

Top of the line Korean BBQ, service was a little lacking. Choose from a selection of meats that you can cook in front of yourself to the perfect temperature. We choose the Jin Combo 1 which ended up being perfect for 3 people. I was originally worried by the lack of a sauce bar but the meat had ample flavor and you could taste the quality of meat without having to add too much to it. Loved the grilled Bulgogi and the boneless short rib. Cooking the meat yourself might get tiresome but it's all part of the experience. Take turns cooking the meat and dishing it out to others. The side dishes are unlimited so you can reorder all the ones you enjoyed! We might have gotten more than enough refills of the turnips and the kimchi. Also ordered a the steamed egg volcano and cold noodle dishes and ended up having left overs to take home. Only downside was that the servers were so busy running around to different tables that you had to literally grab one to add on additional orders or to get your check. We ended up having to ask several people several times for the same requests. So if you are looking to have a relaxing dinner with an attentive server this may not be the place for you. read more

Staff - super friendly, helpful, attentive throughout entire dining experience. Menu - good selection for every budget and appetite. I really enjoyed the recommended beer (CASS) because it is refreshing and not heavy on the palate. Complements this food very nicely. Beef great. Pork jowls delectable. Jin BBQ - Cool vibe - Korean Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

I haven't had much Korean BBQ, so this was a fun experience. Yelp steared me right, as JIN BBQ had amazing reviews and in my stomping grounds. We arrived around 6:00PM, so prime dinner time on a weekday night, it was not too busy and we were able to be seated right away. Since I am a beginner, the server was kind enough to walk and explain the process. We opted for the Beef Combo A that includes three meats choices and option of soup. We opted for sliced brisket, bulgogi and skirt steak and Kimchi stew. Once you order, they bring out ALL the fixings and I mean ALL, there was a green onion salad, rice, corn pasta salad, pickles, ginger salad, kimchi, a jicama sort of root wrap, corn cheese and scrambled eggs. The sides are bottomless and Jin BBQ has a button at their tables for guests to push, which is a great touch. They also had seasonings and sauces accessible. The Kimchi stew was delish. It came with sausage, but we did not get too many pieces. The flavor was wonderful though! The meat was tasty, the bulgogi being our favorite! The flavor was on point. Overall, it was delicious! I left full, my husband and I were able to finish everything and a few refills on sides, but it was a good amount for us. We got the size M which is recommended for 2-3. Service was friendly and prompt. They changed out our griddle when it got sticky form sauces, which was a nice touch. There is a LOT going on though, with all the dishes and brief cooking time. It is not something I feel the need to do often, and of course is a higher price point overall, though I am not sure compared to other Korean BBQ businesses. Still delicious, generous portions, great flavor and all the things! read more

We were in the mood for some Korean BBQ on 6/28/21. We arrived around 8pm and there were a lot of people here. The menu looked good and we ended up with the large beef combo and added the Fresh seared pork belly. We ordered other things as well but I don't remember what we ordered. The food came out after a few minutes. The amount of food for the large beef combo was definitely not enough for four people which was probably a good thing we ordered extra on the side. The meat tasted good with and without the salt/oil. There was more to try on the menu but we'll be back in the future to try them. Jin BBQ was great and I would recommend if it you want some Korean BBQ in the area. This would be our go-to place for some Korean BBQ. read more

Jin BBQ - Combo number 2 I believe - Korean Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

This place may be my favorite Korean BBQ in the Valley. Since their opening, Ive been here a few times, just about once a year and I seem to get the same table every time. On this particular visit, we ordered beef combo for 2. It came with three different beef and 1 style of soup. I came in shortly after my workout and my body was craving proteins. You get to pick what you want from the choices and if you don't know what they are, just ask a server. He explained to us in a way it's easy yo understand and meet was exactly how described. They also have many different kinds of soju and some are sweet. Lychee flavor had just right amount of sweetness to it, it was easy to finish this bottle on my own. A half way through our meal, a server came by to switch to a cleaner grill. We didn't have to ask, they just came and kept bringing things we didn't know we needed. Highly recommend when craving a good Korean BBQ. read more

Looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion? Look no further than Jin BBQ! We came for my partner's mom's birthday lunch on a weekend and were seated upon arrival. We brought a cake, and our server took the cake and brought it to the back for us. Ambiance (5/5): This place reminds me of some of the Korean BBQ joints back in California (like Kang Ho Dong Baekjeong) that serve pay-per-plate/combo kbbq meals. Stools were seated around circular or rectangular tables with an exhaust hood in the middle that can lower down to the grill in the middle of your table. Top that off with some kpop music in the background, and you have yourself a nice place to eat and drink to your stomach's desire! Food (5/5): We ordered the Jin Combo #2 with the beef brisket soybean stew and an extra order of beef brisket. Everything came out with a quickness! The banchan (small sides you get with every meal) included kimchi, radish, green onion salad, their house salad, and macaroni salad. All of the above was delicious. We were also given brisket sauce and salt on the side, and we asked for sesame oil to pour on top of the salt. The grill came with steamed egg, corn cheese, and veggies which we refilled numerous times because they complemented the meal so well. Something about steamed egg at Korean restaurants is so addicting! Now onto the combo: the stew was absolutely delicious! It wasn't too spicy (for folks like me that can't take the heat) but it WAS flavorful, umami, and comforting. YUM. All of the meats were fire, too! Great quality with a good balance between fat and lean meat. My favorite is the marinated short rib. My perfect bite would be the marinated short rib dipped in a little bit of salt and sesame oil, with a bite of pickled radish, corn cheese, and steamed egg. I'm craving this place just writing this review! Another thing I love about non-AYCE places is that you can take leftovers home. This combo + the brisket was more than enough for our party of 5 to finish! So glad we got to take our last few bites home. Service (5/5): All of our servers were so friendly and responsive! Empty water pitcher? Refilled with a quickness. Grill changes? Prompt. Someone dropped a chopstick? The servers overheard our squeals and and gave us new ones. Steamed egg was always on deck because of how often they refilled it for us. We never had to request something twice. On top of all of that, since we were celebrating a birthday, they topped our cake with a sparkler and played some birthday music when they brought out the cake! Their service made for an amazing dining experience, and we're so grateful to them for it. Hopes & Ideas: Rice paper wraps or lettuce to make kbbq ssam! And barley tea would be nice, too! This is my second time coming to Jin BBQ, and I'd gladly come back! Unfortunately I'm a broke college student so I can't afford to come back every single week, but I'll certainly be back in a group or if I have something to celebrate, like the end of a semester. read more

Jin BBQ - Pork broth, added some sides to boil before noodles and meat. - Korean Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

Jin BBQ's vibe reminds me of KBBQ in Cali. I miss that, but it's not AYCE. If you don't get the combo, it's $25/$30 per order and also the cuts of meat were really good! Especially the skirt steak was my fav! That meat had a good marbling on it. Very juicy and melts in your mouth. The grill though burned your food fast, compared to other KBBQ places so I hurried in getting the meat out, like the beef brisket had to be a quick on and off, the cheese corn, and also the veggies on the side, especially when you're enjoying the company and talking a lot lol. My friend ate the egg so didn't worry about that burning. I watch a lot of Mukbang videos and I felt I was in making my own video. Because I honestly just love KBBQ. Also this place is better dine in than take-out because there's not a lot of options in the take out. But I can't afford this as it isn't All You Can Eat. My friend and I went that night and I paid bout $200 altogether. It was a good portion of meat, but just the price of it. So we had 2 orders of meat so that's around $60 ish, plus the alcohol and tip at the end. Hehe I'll def come back sometime again! read more
