Another great morning visiting Jim's Place. My son and I had not been back for a month or two . When we walked in we were greeted with a great smile and a welcome back from the family . The restaurant is a casual small quite quaint place . I deal for a quick bite to eat at the bar or sit at a larger table with the family . We go for breakfast here in our rotation of decent, down to earth, eateries. Basic breakfast fare here is always very good. I've also tried some of the specials and been pleased. I wanted to love it, but unfortunately didn't. It has a hole-in-the-wall feel of a place you hope will be a hidden gem, i.e. definitely a police hangout and old-guys-having-breakfast kind of place. Ordered a breakfast sandwich on a roll: turns out it was made with only 1 egg, overcooked bacon, kind of gummy american cheese and white bread toast. The first word that comes to mind is "dry". Where was the fresh delicious roll? And this for over $7. Service was terse but efficient. For a similar price point, Lighthouse Diner or Rinaldi's runs circles around this place. Hope it improves, since I always root for old school mom and pop places in Jupiter. read more

Jim's Place is our go-to breakfast spot in Jupiter. I love the eggs benedict as well as the biscuits and gravy, it is nothing fancy but it hits the spot! Jim's Place is a small diner located in a plaza off Indiantown Road. It is hidden from the roadway but boy do the locals know it is there! Expect the restaurant to be very busy on the weekend with a wait. Servers try to get the patrons in and out quick though. Its fast service, but you are not rushed. You won't have to wait forever and a day for the food to be delivered to your table. We have only enjoyed breakfast there! I will have to try lunch sometime soon. read more

THEY DO NOT TAKE DEBIT OR CREDIT CARDS. They don't even mention this on their website... they take Zelle or PayPal or cash but left out the part where they don't accept debit or credit. Wish I would have known this since I am from out of town and I'm just traveling with only cards. The biscuits and gravy were good but I wish they mentioned this on their website about payments they don't accept. They only mention the ones that they DO accept. Really big let down. read more

Had Breakfast after church this morning. Food was good but it took way to long for it to be sent to the table. After three cups of coffee the food got there. the service wasn't great, this one guy seemed to hate everyone there and was disappointed anytime we asked a question. . my omelette was pretty bad, it had a singular slice of Kraft American cheese. This little gem has been around for years and I finally stopped in for breakfast. Service was quick and attentive. My coffee cup was never empty. I ordered the two eggs, two pancakes and two strips of bacon. My favorite combination and it was marvelous. Pancakes were not heavy at all and I didn't roll out of there. My G/F ordered two eggs, hash browns and bacon and she was just as happy. Very friendly vibe, casual. The kind of place where they will get to know you by name. Owner just sent comment that I was "just rambling," and that "Yelp deems you a qualified reviewer because you've shared your preposterous opinion so many other times." Who was rambling with the 22 line comment to my review??!! I wont lower the rating out of spite that would be wrong and unfair. If he looked at my reviews he would have noticed that the great majority are in small business restaurants that I always support and that the majority of my reviews are positive. I wish them luck anyway. Original review was this: This place seems... well.... complacent. I don't think they care to "wow" anyone. Have had much better, but have had much worse too. Had breakfast basic two eggs and sausage fare. Hash browns cooked perfectly but lacked taste. Eggs fine. Sausage...... well they were undercooked and cold unfortunately I didn't realize the undercooked detail until I ate a whole link. Altogether a cute dinette. Giving this place only two stars for the above mentioned and because it is cash only which I would Not normally care if it wasn't for the $3 ATM charge. We've been going to Jim's place for over 30 yrs and we decided today to never go back. After we ordered our meal it took over 27 minutes to arrive . Our meals were cold when we got them, the western omelet was horrible, the vegetables were not scrambled into the egg but laid on top then folded over, we have never got it that way before. The grits were tasteless and the bacon was not crispy. I ordered the English Muffin instead of toast and it was stale and rubbery, pancake wouldn't melt better. I've been coming here since I was 6, I'm 24 now. I love the staff, but their food is absolutely amazing!!! The ambiance reminds me of a quaint hole In the wall restaurant.
