I will now dream about Banana Bread French Toast! My Love suggested brunch someplace neither of us had been before, and he drove us up to Jupiter to the clearly locally popular Suzy Q's! The place was bustling on a Saturday at late morning hours but we were quickly seated and they had plenty of staff. The interior served up traditional diner vibes with a cute mural and cool booths with marble filled dividers! The outside had several cleverly planned seating areas to make the most of their space and seat the most guests possible. Our server Matt was friendly and attentive and FULL of tips about what to enjoy from their vast diner menu! I had already decided on the Banana Bread French Toast, and Matt suggested to get it coated with cinnamon sugar....ummmmm say less Matt! What was on the plate was exactly what the menu promised, fresh baked banana bread slices dipped in egg/milk and then (thanks to Matt) coated in cinnamon sugar before being perfectly griddle cooked. I would order this again and again!!! I also got my usual breakfast order cheese grits and they were super cheesy and well cooked. Then "for the table" I asked for a side of the corned beef hash (another diner fav of mine). Matt was again server MVP and suggested we skip the regular corned beef hash and get their special Suzy's hash...only served there weekends and only while it lasts. The Suzy's hash had the most healthy chunks of real corned beef and potatoes and was well cooked. I do love the standard dog food looking corned beef hash....but Suzy's hash was a super nice upgrade! My Love had the Southern Benny, poached eggs on biscuits and gravy. I stole a bite and found it equally as good as any great biscuits and gravy I have had other places. The menu was huge, and they have lunch options of breakfast is not your thing. But seriously...how is banana bread French toast not your thing. The atmosphere was definitely casual & service was quick. Let me start by saying I'm all for small local businesses & the welcoming feelings they bring. Honestly based on reviews we were disappointed in the Food This review is based solely on what my party ordered for lunch. It was nothing to rave/run back for or recommend. Honestly I would take waiting for my order of food over having well done/over cooked/burnt food served. Our order was relatively short and simple & not cheap or free. Cheeseburger Deluxe with well done French fries. They aced the Burger & French fries. It was served with a small side order of coleslaw. Coleslaw was a little dry but yet it had some crunch just very plain/no taste We also ordered a hot dog that was served with chips & coleslaw on the side. Hot dog was a mistake to order It was served WELL done. Who knew to ask for it just cooked not burnt We never caught our waiter's name & we thought he would comeback over to check our table but the place was somewhat busy so he only popped over when we were just about done The coffee was average & the Coke a cola was flat. Okay, so this is not anywhere near my normal to-go's for breakfast but upon hearing good things about their sausage gravy, we decided to give it a shot. So glad we made the trip! Though it's new to me, Suzy Q's has been here for 13 years and a different spot for 10 before that. The ambiance is diner through and through with vinyl booth seats, walk up counter seating (with purse hooks underneath!), hand made wall signs, 60s music, and a dessert showcase too. Our server Matt, has been along for the whole ride and was a great host, helping us navigate the menu with suggestions and absolutely good with our special requests as well. Our food came out fast! Huge portions and everything was absolutely delicious! - I went with a Southern Benny, a custom take on Eggs Benedict, with perfectly cooked home fries accompanying my pan fried biscuits, sausage patties, and two perfectly poached eggs smothered in sausage gravy. The gravy could have used a touch more spice for my personal taste, but it was hot, thick, and delicious. Definitely the best I've had in awhile... - The lovely Spensyr opted for cinammon dusted banana bread French toast which was just as delicious as it sounds, and a side of cheesy grits. B - We added on a side plate of Suzy's Hash; a weekend only item, this is fresh homemade hash with huge chunks of real corned beef and potatoes. Ohmygodsogood! Diner menu but not really diner food. We stop in about twice a year, usually for breakfast, and then we remember why we don't come more often. Definitely no frills on the food- just eh, bland, portions on the small side, and quite frankly overpriced for what it is. Service is okay if they're not busy. If busy you have to grab whoever is around to get a refill or napkin. There are many better choices in the area. read more

My scramble ended up being filling for breakfast and lunch later. The pancakes aren't anything special, but the kids certainly had no problem gobbling them up. It's a diner and it was great. Took the Mrs for a brunch after an outpatient procedure. She was feeling hungry and ready for a nice breakfast and coffee. She had the pancakes and eggs. I had the country fried steak. Wow, the gravy on the steak was on point, tasty with a little 'pop' of black pepper and sausage, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The eggs were properly cooked and served hot. Coffee was good too. We enjoyed the meal in a nice diner environment. Noise level was appropriate for a diner and the setting was as expected. Our service was quick, friendly, and accurate. We sat next to a window and enjoyed the sunlight without getting too warm. Feel free to sit outside if you prefer. There are plenty of tables for that, some shaded, some not, but it's all good. Today I had the unfortunate opportunity to speak to Suzy the owner! I'm very happy I did not meet her in person. Unfortunately, I ordered two sandwiches for lunch and thought I had ordered from the Susie Q's in Port St. Lucie; but, as luck would have it, I mistakenly ordered from the one in Jupiter. When I called to explain, Suzy was put on the phone. I won't name-call call but she was rude, unhelpful, and condescending. She would not refund the meal and asked me if she was to throw it away. She told me I should pay more attention to where I am ordering and she won't eat $40 worth of food. I told her the markup on it alone is why she was charging $41 for two sandwiches and fries. Now, to be fair, it is my fault, and asked if she would meet me halfway and refund half. She barked no. It took all I had not to call her a bitch and hang up so I simply said thanks for nothing and listened to her slam the phone down. I then went to Susie Q's near me and ordered the same thing for $20. read more

Our initial visit was a couple of months ago for breakfast and our server encouraged us to return again to try their well known burgers. Today we did and we were not at all disappointed. The moment I bit into my burger and tasted the perfectly toasted bun, I knew it was going to be a trophy winning experience. I ordered the caramelized onion burger and added cheddar, mushrooms, ketchup, and mustard. I paired mine with crinkle cut fries. Unbeknownst to me, a side of coleslaw and a huge pickle were included. I'm not a fan of the two latter items so I can't attest to their quality. The iced tea is freshly brewed and on point! A half cut is perfect. My brother ordered the southwestern burger. It features chili, jalapeños, and pepper Jack cheese with all the trimmings. He said it was phenomenal and really enjoyed the chili. He also paired his with crinkle cut fries. The fries were cooked to perfection and didn't require any condiments. My brother enjoyed the pickles and he too isn't a fan of coleslaw so you're on your own with this side dish. Our previous visit was for breakfast and we left with full bellies and happy hearts. Same as today so we'll be back for certain. They have a really nice dog friendly patio and ample parking. Came to Suzy Qs for takeout and went back for breakfast. They are very welcoming here, quick to serve you, and you can customize pretty much anything. They have soups of the day that they sell by the pints a lot of people were coming into buy these. I didn't take pictures of my food but I had the breakfast burrito it was huge and delicious. Super fresh ingredients were used. I came for breakfast and this is where we where able to customize our omelets. My boyfriend got a 5 egg omelet! It was perfect. This is a very solid diner, with a big menu, and classic diner service. I had a little Saul food, and no, I didn't misspell it. Matzoh Brei is a deli breakfast classic: matzoh moistened, and egg. I have to say the matzoh was a bit mushy, gentile style, but it was well seasoned. All of the egg plates around me rocked. I'll go a bit more all-American next time. This place gets very full. This morning's eating adventure was like a Goldilocks story. We tried to have brunch at two other places before coming here. The first place was too small (no tables big enough for 6 people) and the second place too crowded (and the Yelp wait list feature didn't work)...and this place was "just right"! We can see why this place is so popular. We were a party of 6 -- 4 adults and 2 children -- so we needed a big booth or table. Even though they were busy mid morning, we were able to find a back booth. Service was friendly. We had one glitch (the kitchen messed up or another server took one of our meals) but it was handled by removing the charge from our bill. They offer both breakfast and lunch items, but we were there for breakfast. Us for our second go round -- breakfast for lunch - and everyone else for their first real meal of the day. We ordered a bit of everything: sausage and biscuits; pancakes; eggs Benedict; poached eggs; over easy and corned beef hash, etc. Surprisingly, everyone liked their meals. They have a number of combos and breakfast specials from which to choose. And a number of a la carte items, too. They can handle any unique requests with no problem. You pay up front at the cashier. If we lived closer, we would definitely put this on our frequent dining list for breakfast. read more

Suzy's is one of my favorite go to stops near our house and for a delicious breakfast in general. Suzy is incredible she always comes and says hello to the table and greets you with a smile and asks you how your meal was. It was incredible to see her the day after Christmas just busting her butt because someone called out. She was helping hostess, clean tables, check on others. We always have a great meal here. This time I got my favorite blueberry pancakes. Always jam packed with fresh blueberries. It would've been better without the orange juice dressing that overpowered everything. Also pita on the side was rock hard. My grandmother got grits, fried egg and bacon it was okay. She didn't finish it which is rare cause they're her favorite foods. So safe to say it wasn't that great. The staff was ok, the cashier was nice the waitress was either having a bad day or just that bad. Was nasty with each table, not attentive and made a bad experience even worse. The younger waitress was nice and professional unfortunately she was working other tables. The place itself is small and tight on the inside, which is common now with everyone still trying to get as many people stuffed inside and out the door fast to make a profit. Hometown diner for sure! Lots of dishes to choose from. Food is fresh and service is great! Seating is in disrepair, my chair had the vinyl held together with tape. I had the breakfast vegetable skillet with 2 eggs over easy. Eggs were cooked to perfection, hash browns and vegetables were good. My friend had the chicken Caesar wrap which she really enjoyed. Absolutely terrible food. Nothing was "homemade". Corn beef hash: It was $10.49 and I received some of the worst food I've ever tasted. Resembled dog food. Normally when restaurants serve canned corn beef they mix it in with their own homemade potato - but these potatoes were clearly from the same can. Not to mention it was completely mushy and uncooked. It tasted like they dumped the can on a plate and microwaved it. Probably cost them .25 cents to make. Layered Southern Breakfast: worse than the corned beef hash and over $15. Also clearly from a can. Cinnamon pecan pancakes: Firstly they were walnuts, not pecans. The pancake it's self tasted like a bad hotel included breakfast. It's hard to describe - but the pancake had that flour batter flavor that hotel pancakes have. Very very bad. Would also find it hard to believe this was homemade. Will not be returning or recommending. $60 for three people... you expect at least one dish to be okay. read more
