    Amazing wings and hotdogs

Local perfection. Food is always great and it's been a staple for over 30 years. Love the casual vibe and the excellent service. Best buffalo chicken sandwich around. Love the wings, burgers and dogs too. Will order takeout as well and it's always delicious.

My family loves Dune Dog! We usually go enjoy the specials on Wednesday and get there early before the dinner crowd. It does get extremely busy! If you go at 3 or 4 you should be okay. I got the fish dinner and it was really good! It comes with two sides so I got waffle fries and black beans. The fish is also huge! You get two big pieces. I also tried the seltzer drink Nutrl. I got the watermelon and it was really good. The only disappointing thing is they only offer seltzers, beer, and wine. When I come to a place like this I love trying specialty cocktails and they don't offer any. They could make some really trendy ones. The service is always good and the food comes out quick! This is a must visit if you're in the Jupiter area!

Fantastic food, as always, enjoying the friendly service, and incredible Florida breeze while seated at the counter listening to tunes in the Dune Dog Cafe.

If you're craving a hot dog, this is the place to go. Unassuming from the road but the food is really good. The few times I've been there, there has been a wait. You put your name down yourself on the clipboard and wait to be called. We go for their hotdogs. The hot dog itself is really tasty. I love that they serve waffle fries. Drinks come in styrofoam cups and you sit at picnic tables. It's a very causal place which is always packed. We love it!

The cafe has been here for a long time and I popped in yesterday with my husband and kids to get dinner. We were able to get a table and got our order taken quickly. It didn't take long for our food to come out either. The Leroy Brown's junkyard dog was topped with the house chili, cheese, and Dot's sauce. I thought it was creative they named the hot dog over a song. We split an order of onion rings for a side as well and everything was good. Our waiter was attentive and the staff was helping out with making sure orders were coming in and out of the kitchen quickly. We were able to enjoy our food and not feel rushed since it doesn't have a lot of seating. it was a "happy island" time!

I liked the beach vibe, I had the chili dog and onion rings, service was a bit slow but I wasn't in a hurry. The bartender was nice and once I ordered the food was pretty quick. It was a pretty good dog.

This was our second time coming to Dune Dog Cafe, the first time was in 2023 and both times it did not disappoint. My wife and I love the lobster night (Thursdays). The restaurant has such a cool vibe to it and it's clean. Our server which we had both times Gabi is unbelievable. My wife and I are definitely coming back to try their famous chili hotdog.

Lobster salad roll special of the day

Dune Dog's offers a laid-back, beachy vibe with a menu that leans heavily into classic hot dogs and seaside fare. Be aware, though: the restaurant only has outdoor seating, so during the summer months, it can get uncomfortably hot -- something to keep in mind if you're sensitive to the heat. Be sure to add your name to the list on the clipboard when you arrive if there's a wait. The food overall was solid, with most dishes hitting the mark. I tried the lobster salad roll, which had some highs and lows. The split-top bun was easily the best part -- buttery, lightly toasted, and perfectly soft. Unfortunately, the lobster salad itself was overly heavy on the mayonnaise, which masked the natural sweetness of the lobster and the lobster itself was ground with no evidence of the lobster chunks. The sprinkle of shredded cheese on top felt like an odd afterthought and didn't do anything to elevate the flavor. The steamed clams in beer and onions were delicious and Dot's Pushcart Dog was spot on! The tomato sauce is super flavorful and the dog had the crunch that held up nicely! Still, if you're in the area and don't mind dining al fresco in the heat, Dune Dog's is worth a visit -- just maybe skip the lobster salad roll and give the hot dogs, fish, or lobster a try. We'd love to visit on Thursday for Lobster Night!

This place is popular for good reason. If you are a smaller party (2-3 ppl) I highly recommend eating at the counter. Always great service. The hot dogs are great and love the Chicago dog. My mom's grilled Mahi sandwich was fresh and not soggy. They give you a large cut of fish for the sandwich. The service is fast, friendly but they let you enjoy your meal! The waffle fries are delicious, as are the fried clam strips.

    Crispy fish sandwich

I saw an article about Dune Dog's famous Crispy Fish Sandwich which prompted me to try. I hadn't been there in a few years so I called my 2 buddies and I asked them if they wanted to go with me for a fish sandwich. One said "he couldn't" and the other said, "he wouldn't." I asked why, he said "what's the name of the place" facetiously. Dune DOG , OBVIOUSLY. He then said "I only go there for DOGs". So I went by myself. I sat at the counter and felt guilty ordering A FISH SANDWICH when everyone around me was eating DOGs. WELL, I'm glad that I'd did. It was amazing. I just had it plain with tartar sauce. I couldn't believe it but I did eat the whole thing. Glad I didn't waver from my original plan. BUT, next time I go back, I'm going to get the DOG just so the 3rd time I go, I'll know which one , won. Actually, there won't be a loser only what hits my taste buds better that day. SO, net -net. You can't go wrong with either fish or the dog........

Awesome divey bar and grill relaxing casual atmosphere. For a saturday afternoon, they had a big crowd. Was pleasantly surprised at their variety of food offerings for small place. I had a cabbage patch burger. Husband tried both leroy brown dog and a chicago dog. All was excellent. And price was good value.

Food was literally SO GOOD!!!!!! The vibe is nice and chill but the service was the best we had all week in the area. Kids meals come with an ice cream cup too! 10/10! Can't wait to make it back one day

Coming from Chicago I wanted to see their Chicago dog. Even thought there was no poppy seed bun, the bun they had was amazing. Their kraut dog always pretty darn good. The atmosphere. Was great out server was funny and very polite. Overall great experience and would definitely come again.

Service felt flat the entire time. I specifically asked for very light ice in my drink and even said I didn't care if the glass wasn't full. The drink still came out packed with ice, and I had to ask for a separate cup and spoon to fix it myself--which shouldn't happen. What really stood out was the lack of attention. We were there for about 35 minutes, and not once did she come back to check on us--no "How is everything?" and no offer for another drink. Meanwhile, she spent more time in the back talking with a coworker than actually servicing her customers. There was also confusion when we asked for the check, which just added to the overall disorganization. What's disappointing is that this place used to have a much better vibe--staff like Denise made it feel welcoming and enjoyable. That's clearly changed. The new staff just doesn't bring the same level of service or personality. The food and location still have potential, but service makes or breaks a place--and right now, it's missing. "Service isn't just part of the experience--it is the experience."

The Hungry Poet is back baby!! (I love being Yelp Elite…read more I've just been busy!) "The Salty Zebra blew me away, The Black Grouper entree made my entire day. The burger was seasoned and the patty was fat, But those home made desserts....whooo that's where it's at!" This meal/dining experience brought me to Yelp immediately. I was excited y'all! The Salty Zebra (picked it b/c of good reviews and proximity to Barnes and Noble in Tequesta) They cover the basics extremely well: greeted with kindness and professionalism, seated promptly, and approached immediately by a wonderful server. I won't spend time here just know you will not be disappointed with the service and it was beyond pleasant. Apps Burgundy Escargot (Pernod Garlic-Parsley Butter) We asked for a recommendation from the appetizer section of their menu (perfect amount of selections by the way...I despise an encyclopedic menu). We were thinking escargot and we were so pleased that it was recommended...that sealed the deal. It was garlicky and buttery and served with the perfect white bread. Spot on. Entrees were freaking fantastic! Florida Black Grouper (Creamed Kai Kai Farms Mustard Greens, Colab Farms Glazed Carrots, Carrot Marmalade) I never order grouper. I go out of my way to order it because I don't enjoy white fish usually. Something spoke to my spirit (plus our amazing server highly recommended it) and I went against my natural inclination. Lawd have mercy I'm glad I did. That grouper was perfectly seared, flaky, flavorful and completed excellently by the mustard greens and carrots. I do t know what the sauce was in the plate but it was savory a bit earthy in the best possible way with a twinge of sweetness that made me want to lick the plate ‍ (hey I'm from Mississippi...we do that ). Needless to say there wasn't a morsel of food left in my plate. Other reviews complained about small portions. I beg to differ it was a perfect portion, and I have a biiiiig appetite. (I am the hungry poet after all! I enjoy experiencing three full courses and not being miserably full by dessert.) Bistro Burger (1/2 LB CBS Blend, Gruyere, Sweet & Sour Onions, Au Poivre Sauce, Parmesan Potato Wedges) Boyfriend got the burger. It was great--I am well loved so I got the first bite lol Patty was thick and moist and seasoned! I was impressed that they didn't stay away from seasoning with this burger. We suspect it could have even been prepared sous vide then seared because of how evenly cooked it was. Our server was even kind enough to bring ketchup for the potato wedges. Dessert LET ME FIRST SAY: the second dessert (chef's special) was complementary. I don't know why? Good karma maybe? Speaking of the chef... Chef Michael was working that dining room. ‍ He walked by our table and asked if everything was okay. Not realizing he was the chef we asked for a little more bread to sop up the escargot butter. He brought the bread out a few minutes later himself and was super polite. He introduced himself and I was impressed that he was so personable. He stopped by two more times to check on our entrees and desserts. I love an involved chef. I have a couple friends who are Executive Chefs in pretty swanky places and I love to see that bar being met. Especially as a Yelp Elite reviewer. You know how most people can't wait to write reviews when they're pissed. I can't wait to write reviews when my socks are knocked off. Back to dessert... Chocolate banana I love banana desserts. Some might be biased but this dessert was oooooooh wee deliciously special. I don't have the description because I think desserts change weekly/daily etc but trust me... GET IT! If you like bananas chocolate and caramel get it! Homemade S'more When I said made in house I mean it! The marshmallow the graham cracker all of it! It was rich and decadent and it blew me away. I'll be thinking about these desserts for a while. And again I don't t know what we did to get a free one but Chef Michael brought both out himself and I felt the "we go the extra mile" vibe. It was crystal clear. Sounds like I'm using hyperbole but I swear I'm not. Decor and ambiance was beautiful. Wasn't loud at all. Hands down a perfect dinner experience. We had been walking in the hot sun all day after this impromptu trip to Stuart and even in leggings and a T-shirt we felt comfy and welcomed.
