Many years ago, I enjoyed visiting "tiki bars" throughout the Florida Keys - - well, that's the wonderful, familiar, almost Caribbean feel of Tiki 52, in Tequesta. A big thatched roof protected everyone from sun and rain. There were plenty of tables in the sand, as well as in the hut. Our server, Ellie, was delightful. She made good suggestions, handled special requests perfectly and made sure that we had everything we needed throughout the evening. Most bands playing at pubs and bars share one trait - they are always WAY too loud. Not the Samantha Russell Band. She has a powerhouse voice and her band were really good (albeit just a bit loud). The food was surprisingly good. The "special" pulled pork bowl was big and flavorful. The Caribbean Salad with Shrimp was fresh and tasty, lightly dressed with a nice portion of grilled shrimp. My Sweet Cajun Chicken Sandwich was outstanding. The mild barbecue sauce balanced the Cajun seasonings, the chicken was perfectly cooked and the Pretzel Bun just right. The drinks were nice; the Island Time was flavorful and the Whole Lotta Rum Bucket massive(and refreshing). Oversell we had a great time and will be back. read more

Went to lunch with some friends and everyone enjoyed their meals - my pulled pork has a really nice pineapple slaw on it that I've never had before and it elevated the yum level for me. If you want to visit a Caribbean island but don't have the time head to Tiki 52. Located at the Blowing Rocks Marina. It has a laidback, casual, toes in sand vibe. It's a great, family friendly place to kick back and relax. The giant tiki hut offers plenty of seating outside where you can sit and not worry about the sun or rain. The menu is island inspired with fresh seafood, burgers, salads and sandwiches . There's also a kid's menu. They offer a full bar, happy hour, outdoor dining, live music and public dockage for boaters. They will even cook your catch if you bring one. Our sever, Ellie, was friendly and helpful and had no problem customizing my order. The Caribbean salad with shrimp was fresh and loaded with with goodies. It was lightly dressed but that was enough. The Cajun chicken sandwich was also lightly dressed so that you could taste all of the flavors. The Samantha Russell band was outstanding if a bit loud. read more

This Tequesta waterfront spot is basically Key West's more responsible cousin--same breezy island vibe, cold drinks, and live weekend music, just without the six-hour road trip, questionable decisions, or lost flip-flops. We had our first meal here last week and first impressions were bright and welcoming in the tiki hut by the water. We were early for trivia nite but our server was very busy but provided good service even so. I had a beautiful coconut encrusted mahi and it was a generous portion. I also had the broccoli slaw which was FABULOUS! I think if I ever returned I would order it for both my sides! It was fresh and nicely cut and the dressing was fab! I had a Sangria which was not Sangria - what a double disappointment being watery and IN A PLASTIC CUP!!! Yup! Plastic and not fancy plastic. Everyone's cocktails were in cheap plastic cups. All the utensils for dinner were black plastic as well. The server said it was the tiki vibe. Not vibing on that when I am not picnicking. So wasteful as well!!! It's a local place but also visitors come out here. Food was OK have many options for drinks. Outdoor seating right by the water, but on windy days it's not enjoyable (for us). We mostly came here for the ambience, loved sitting with our feet in the sand and views of the water, but also really enjoyed the happy hour deals! On this trip, I wanted to have every meal next to the water if possible and this location fit the bill. Feet in the sand and views of the water with small harbor next-door made for a lively atmosphere and really enhanced our visit. The peel and eat shrimp were excellent, although the presentation could be improved, and the jerk chicken empanadas hit the spot It came as two small-ish sized empanadas, but pack packed full of shredded jerk chicken! Our server was very pleasant and helpful in selecting our menu items. One stand out feature, I had the lowest happy hour bill of any restaurant I visited this whole trip, my red striped beer was only two dollars!! love this place and I look forward to visiting it again on my next trip to Jupiter, Florida. read more

Beautiful weather brought us out to our favorite restaurant. Menu was missing the new items which had been recently added. I had conch chowder and tuna poke made with lettuce and not rice. Drove about 30 minutes to eat here, saw a Mandatory Valet sign and immediately left. Very unexpected and out of place given the location/type of food. I know they're trying to give people a job even though there is no need for it but we're not being guilt tripped into paying for parking (i.e $15 Valet tip) to eat bar food. We saw two other cars do the double take on the sign right behind us and they joined us waiting to do a U turn just up the road. This place is losing a lot of business because they are indirectly charging customers for parking. If they change their policy we may consider coming back. read more

Went here after snorkeling in Jupiter. Amazing food, the most friendly service and the view was spectacular! Burger was perfect, we are very picky about our burgers and buns!! This was flavorful and the bun held up to the hefty burger. Mahi tacos were delicious and not overwhelmed with to many toppings. Fish tasted fresh and firm with just right amount of blackened seasoning. My Néw favorite place in the area! Staff and management rude, never enough staff, drinks were weak. We waited over an hour for a table then when called, we showed immediately but the young girls there were friendly with other young girls that just showed and gave them the table. They said we were "too late". We showed the text that came leas than 2 minutes prior, but they said it could another hour. The manager was even more rude. They had more tables available, and we understood many people were hanging after eating for the music. But they could have offered us another open table and some drinks, water, something. I've been to tiki 52 a few times. The vibes of the place are super nice. You can pull up on your boat or you'd have to valet/pay for parking. The parking lot is very small. But the place is on the water and the prices are pretty good for water front. I always get the shrimp taco bowl which is filling and very good. The service is always on the bad side. I've also been told my friends that their service is not that good. They have a very large selection of drinks at the bar and live music most days of the week. Let's start with the service...Marissa is friendly, happy and accommodating. I give her 5 stars. The rum runner is strong and worth the hang over I will most likely have. I had the Mahi sandwich that was blackened (not really blackened) but grilled and yummy. The mustard sauce served with it was awesome and I dipped my chips til it was gone. Atmosphere you can't beat! Live music, some covers some originals. If I could say one more positive thing is that my day was perfect and this was a perfect end to my little adventure. Worst dining experience in my life. four young immature girls were working the hostess desk. They were disorganized, unprofessional, and disrespectful. The tables were full of people who clearly were finished their meal & drinks but continued to sit at the table to listen to the live music while an extended line of potential patrons stood in line at the hostess desk waiting to be seated. This highlighted the restaurant's disorganization and reflected its poor management/oversight. The cherry on top of this horrible Sunday evening experience was that the parking valet attendant LOST OUR CAR KEY FOB! I wouldn't recommend this establishment to my worst enemy. read more

my first visit to Tiki 52 was wild. It was a hot sunny afternoon and Cole Chase was playing and the place was packed. We were able to grab a table however it was a little hot as the overhang does not provide enough shade. There is definitely is a great environment for a fun day and the music provided was outstanding . Those who are in attendance seemed to really enjoy the afternoon. I ordered the jalapeño poppers, but was disappointed as they were cold and not to my liking. The sliders that my boyfriend had were good. I'm returning today with hopes to order the Conch salad. Now I make a terrific seafood salad with Conch, calamari, shrimp, and mussels. It's more simple thing to make but adding the right ingredients makes it tasty for instance lemon, crushed red pepper, chopped how jalapeño olive oil,celery. And scallion and don't forget the fresh chop garlic one more item is the fresh parsley, chopped that's my secret family recipe. They do not take reservations so expect to wait if you show up after 5pm. We were able to walk around the docks to kill time but did have to wait 30-45 mins. I overheard some people having to wait over an hour. We got the tiki burger which is your normal beef burger with bacon, lettuce, tomato, red onion. Nothing too crazy to write about. Came into town (with no reservation) and although it was an hour wait on a Sunday (this place is popular) we were able to still grab a table and chairs (plenty available) outdoors with our kids and dog. They offered a generous but limited menu for these seats. Beautiful view of the water and boats!
