I went with a large party on a busy Sunday and it was difficult to get a table as the place was packed and no one seemed to be leaving. If you are in a hurry this is probably not the place for you. The live music is a nice little touch. There was a band playing reggae music and steel drums so that really set the laid back mood. It wasn't necessarily special, but the key lime sauce was delicious. Ended up dipping the chips in it. The cracked conch appetizer was tender and delicious, which is good, I was nervous about that one. If I hadn't been with my coworker, I would have stayed longer and enjoyed the swings. I've been coming to Tiki 52 for years and have always loved the atmosphere, the food, and the experience. It's been one of my favorite go-to spots -- especially by boat. But unfortunately, after what happened today, I'm honestly reconsidering coming back. We arrived by boat like we've done many times before, but were met with an incredibly rude and unprofessional experience from the dock manager, Chris. When I asked about dock space, he not only completely ignored me, but when I pressed for an answer, he literally told me to "go f*** myself" -- yes, those exact words. I was shocked. His attitude was completely disrespectful and totally uncalled for. Instead of simply saying the docks were full or offering any kind of direction, he chose to be hostile, dismissive, and aggressive. It was the worst treatment I've ever received at a place I used to love. Tiki 52 is your classic tropical tiki bar. It's located on the water and has a fun, casual ambiance. I went last night and it was PACKED with people of all ages. There's a stage for live music performances and plenty of people were up dancing in the sand. There was a waitlist for a table, but it was the perfect spot to grab a drink, listen to music, and hang out, so the wait was no big deal at all. Everything on the menu looked good, but I wound up ordering the Islander Salad with blackened shrimp. It was light and tasty and I enjoyed the key lime honey dressing that came with it. The service was fantastic, too - super quick and friendly. This is a great spot for happy hour with family or friends. My only complaint was that it was a tad too loud. Wonderful experience! We went for lunch and enjoyed the covered patio area, next to the bar. On Tuesdays they have great drink specials- $2 domestics and house wine, $3 seltzer's. We had a couple of drinks and it was the quickest bar service I've ever had in my life. We started with jalapeño poppers which there were about 5-6. I wish there were more but they were hot and delicious. Would definitely recommend. We ordered a Buffalo chicken wrap which was pretty huge and extremely tasty. Also got tacos and chicken tenders. We asked for the chicken tenders to be tossed in a sauce and they came out perfectly tossed and delicious. The tacos were also great, especially the fish taco. Service was quick and friendly. It was a very, very, very busy Saturday so the bartenders and servers were pushed to the limit so to be fair to the servers they were doing their best to keep everyone happy. Drinks were solid we order a club sandwich and the gator bites. I really enjoyed the gator bites and the club sandwich looked delicitious (I didn't have any of the sandwhich so I cannot rate). Loved this restaurant. It's so nice and chill. It definitely has that relaxed vibe like you get in the Bahamas. You can sit anywhere you like and the wait staff will come to you to take your order. They have plenty of seating options under their roof or outside so you can take in the sun and view of the water as you eat and drink. The menu offers a lot of food options and signature drinks. I ordered the island time and it was made with spiced rum and different flavors from passion fruit and coconut. I loved it and it was sweet. My niece ordered the channel margarita and said it was delicious. I had to order some conch chowder to start when I saw it on the menu. It was amazing and authentic conch chowder. You get a good portion and nice pieces of conch. For appetizers we had the Ahi Tuna loaded nachos and it was so delicious and flavorful with the teriyaki sauce and cilantro sauce plus the green onions sprinkled on top. They use taro chips and that goes great with the tuna. We decided to share the taco platter and did their mix and match option that comes with three tacos and chips with side of salsa and guacamole. We absolutely loved the Mahi Mahi taco with was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Then we had conch taco and that was tasty. It was fried but not greasy or overly breaded. It also has a nice sweet chili sauce that they put on it so it gives a nice sweet spicy kick. Last but not least we had the pulled pork and it good but a little dried out. So needless to say we were stuffed but we were able to walk over to their tiki 52 beach area that has swings and more seating as well as some corn hole and connect four. The conch tacos were basically the same as the cracked conch, but with a pineapple salsa - very good. The overall vibe of the place is good, and the view of the marina and ICW is wonderful. Service blew so it was hard to get refills on drinks, but they were busy. But it still blew, as I asked if refills were going to be a problem, as we were all pretty thirsty from being out fishing. The sauce for the fish, in a dipping cup, which I normally avoid like the plague, at these places, was light, and flavorful, and not there to mask frozen fish? Whaaaat? View of the intracoastal and the adjacent marina was awesome. Hold your food on a windy day. I t was so breezy that my long neck took at dive on the table, and a couple of the laminated menus got loose and tried to decapitate another guest at a nearby table. Not a full bar, but a good beer and wine selection. It says coke products. I ding them for taking a deal with cheap-ass Pepsi.
