The new location is in a better location and looks great. It was packed. Can be loud so something to keep in mind but that didn't bother me and the rest of the group. Lobster Empanada , very good, filled with lobster chunks which just exploded with flavor. Clam Chowder was just ok but had good flavor, little weak on the clams inside of it. Dolphin with Sweet potato crust and Greens, apples, green beans, tomato, red onion, key lime garlic dressing, sambal aioli was huge! Might've been my favorite thing we ordered. Sweet Fish Meat Loaf, sticky maple brussels sprouts, jalapeño cheddar cornbread, slaw, Demi bbq sauce. Very good but second to the fish. Eating out is too expensive to have a mediocre meal. Sweet fish isn't that great. But it should be. The drinks were small. Perhaps happy hour? So that's no deal. My salad was never served. When I got my entree and saw I didn't have my salad, I asked the runner to just forget it. Do you think the waiter bothered to apologize? Nope. Didn't even mention it. When he came with a to-go container, he dropped half the fish on an adjoining table and just scooped it up right into the container. Yuk. The check came and he got his 20% tip. But I'll never go back. Like I said, eating out is too expensive to be treated like we were tonight. read more

Ok so we get to this part of FL often and always look for some place new. Well this is an extension of a place we already like pretty well. The atmosphere was calming and nice. I will say this, they were clean. We were there late and watching them clean up made me happy. Ok the food and drinks. The cocktails we had were nice and as described. We had the octopus and for me was one of the best dishes of our night. The fritters were nice and crispy, but without the added hot sauce were just ok flavor wise. I had the grouper and was not disappointed. They know fish. My partner had the Cuban sandwich and that was just ok. Little Moir's Sweet Fish is located in the Chasewood Plaza shopping center. There's plenty of parking in the lot. There's outdoor seating as well as inside- tables, high tops, and at the bar. There's a chill vibe. This is the third restaurant for Little Moir's. The menu is similar to Food Shack and Leftovers Cafe. Ty P. was our server. She was friendly and helpful. We split the Fried Gator Fritter appetizer. It had the consistency of eggrolls with a spicy kick served over coleslaw. We split Chef Juan's BBQ Fish Sandwich for dinner. Ty thoughtfully brought us a second plate to make splitting the sandwich easier. For dessert, we had the Passionfruit Pie which has the consistency of key lime pie but passionfruit taste. We also had the French Coconut Cream Pie which was ok. The passionfruit pie was better. They have a full bar and Coke products. The kitchen gets the food to the table in a very timely manner. Went there as couples on a Friday night. A bit noisy but we could still easily converse. The service was good and friendly. All in all, it is very similar to Leftovers in every way. I had snapper with fish and grits. Delicious. The fried okra was crisp and the fish and grits were flavorful. Everyone had a similar experience with their entrees. We all had wines or beer so no opinion on cocktails. read more

We have been going to Food Shack and Leftovers for over 10 years as loyal customers. As always, the food is very good. We tried the Mahi Fingers with Tropical Slaw (loved) and Blue Cheese Wedge Salad with Corvina (liked). Corvina would have been better grilled with lemon and butter instead of plain grilled. Service was outstanding! And Mike, you've outdone yourself with the decor on this one! Just stunning! The only thing that I didn't love was the noise. Like Food Shack, it's just a loud restaurant - minus 1 star for that. So, just know that going in. The food is totally worth the noise though!! read more

Finally made it! As a Little Moir's super fan the hubs & I are excited about this location! Because I've never had a bad fish here, I decided to go with the meatloaf with Brussel sprouts (maple syrup!) & corn bread with jalapeños. So amazing, the meatloaf has bbq sauce in it, a little heavy imo, but nicely done! Tried the bbq oysters, loved them. The raw oysters are the best we've had in awhile. Check out the pistachio cheese cake & key lime pie were to die for! Service second to none as usual. The restaurant decor is unique & thoughtful. Little Moir's fans since we moved here and frequent all their other places and even think I remember a food truck some where. This might be their best yet! (Although my personal fav might still be streatery). For only open a few nights we experienced fabulous food, great and enthusiastic servers and a wonderful meal. That Chef Juan really knows what he's doing over there. The service makes you feel right at home! Everyone is smiling and happy to be there. We loved our first meal at Sweet Fish! We ordered the ramen and fish and grits. The grits were some of the best I've had and I hope they add it as a side because I would order it every time! The ramen was very hearty and was full of shredded pork, pork belly, noodles and veggies. We really enjoyed it but the broth was more of a stew broth than a ramen broth. We also had the fish dip which was great and the chips were a perfect texture. Service was very fast and the decor was really nice. I have eaten here twice for work lunches with clients. Both times the clients recommended. The place is fairly casual but the food was delicious and unique. I had the mahi with a sweet potato jalapeño breading over a salad and it was just delicious. Service was great. I plan to take my wife there and will bring other clients there. Found this gem within walking distance of my hotel and decided to go for some seafood. It was crowded at 7:30 on a Thursday night, but the patio was completely open, so the hostess happily seated me out there. My server was very friendly and attentive, the oysters were fresh and delicious, and my ramen dish was *chef's kiss*. Too bad I'm only here for one night -- I would gladly have gone back for another dinner. read more

We've been regular customers of the other concepts over the years and we're happy to see this location open as it's much closer to our home. The service was amazing and the server spent time answering all our questions as well as make recommendations. The noise level was a little loud although it may have something to do with the acoustics as the restaurant was only 25% full. The food was good and had the right amount of flavor and spice. One issue that I had with the Fish and Grits, the Mahi was somewhat dry and the Deep Fried Okra batter was bland. Otherwise the other dishes were perfect and we will return. read more

The restaurant was a welcome experience. Valerie was our waitress and EVERYONE was friendly. We sat at the bar but had to move from that position as the "extremely cold air" was coming directly down on my back. We moved to another spot at the bar. We started with the chowder and it was some of the best we have EVER had. Hubby had a Cuban sandwich which was tasty but the ham should have been cut thinner and it would have made a difference. I had a salad which was good. We will definitely go again. The service was EXCELLENT. We were there on a Saturday and they had just opened on Monday. I was unable to order online on Toast. I called and the person I spoke to confirmed they were only taking phone orders for takeout. The person I spoke to was very nice. We picked up the food and the staff were very nice, as well. I was surprised at the small rectangular container. For $29 an entree, it felt like a small portion. Two of us had the Fish and Grits. and were disappointed. The fish was very bland. There was no sauce to speak of. The grits were very good, nice and creamy, but would have preferred cheese grits. The bacon added a little flavor. The three dried dates? were terrible. Hard skin that was inedible. The fried okra was so oily that I had to blot them several times in paper napkins. My husband threw his away. Another family member got the sautéed fish and said it had a nice sauce and good flavor. If I came back, I would try that next time. We are fans of Food Shack & Leftovers, but I just had to leave our honest review. read more

I've gone to Leftovers since they opened and think they grill the best salmon ever. We went to Sweet Fish for lunch today. FANTASTIC. Abby our server was fast, efficient, informative and funny. I'm used to that from Leftovers staff and know alot of the servers. Like Leftovers, there is the everyday menu and the daily specials paper menu. Of course there is fresh local fish and they do have a big Leftovers favorite of sweet potato crusted fish. But they have lots of other interesting flavor combinations and new things like Lobster Empanadas??? IThe menu has some big favorites from Leftovers but also whole new things. I zeroed in on their fish saute, something new, maybe their next big sweet potato crust dish. It was incredible. White wine garlic butter with capers, cherry tomatoes, onions and fresh spinach. I chose swordfish. Soo good. And I had a lovely Jordan chardonnay. We will be back!!!!!! read more
