I had a great time at Voodoo Bayou for happy hour. The bar area is a nice size with both indoor and outdoor seating, creating a fun and comfortable atmosphere. The drinks were very well made, and I especially enjoyed the Snake Oil Salesman cocktail, it tasted like a delicious spicy margarita. The happy hour food specials were excellent. The baked garlic butter oysters and Rockefeller oysters were both very good and such a great deal. The deviled eggs and Gumbo Ya Ya were also full of flavor and definitely worth trying. Service was prompt, friendly, and attentive, which made the experience even better. Overall, a fantastic happy hour spot with great drinks, tasty food, and a lively vibe. I'll definitely be back!

This is a neat little restaurant in a strip mall complex in West Palm Beach. There are tons of free parking spaces available in the mall's parking lot. This place is huge, with a large two-level dining area, a small stage, and a bar on the first level and another on the second. They also have televisions to watch. You will also find a decent-sized patio area connected to the bar on the first level. This place is dimly lit. The staff there was very friendly and we were seated right away. The place accepts reservations, but we did not have any. The restaurants serve all of your Creole/Southern favorites. We started with an order of deviled eggs. They were very. My kids got some chicken tenders and mac & cheese, and said they were both delicious. I leaped and got some fried oysters. They were fresh and some of the best oysters that I have ever had. And I lived in New Orleans for about 10 years. Our server was very attentive, friendly, and helpful. He kept our cups full and gave us spot-on recommendations. He was awesome. This is a nice little spot with great service, delicious food, and wonderful atmosphere. My family thoroughly enjoyed our meal here, and I highly recommend this restaurant. I will definitely be back when I make it back to West Palm.

Well now! Where do I start. We met some friends for lunch. 6 total. Service was fine, not great not subpar. We were warned that a salad with fried chicken strips would take a bit, but holy smokes we were half way through our lunches before the fried chicken showed up. As for me, I had the shrimp and Grits. Very cheesy and very flavorful. My wife enjoyed her salad. Sorry no pictures of the food. I was hungry. It was a great day but the only table for 6 was in the sun, so we ate inside. It was a darkened type of interior. Lots of dark wood. Just needed some more subtle lighting. Overall, it was fine but nothing to right home about. Now for the part that I didn't like. When paying the bill, the tipping options I believe started at 20%, 22% and 24%. Honestly, as soon as I saw the starting choice of 20%, I was a little miffed. I chose the custom tab and gave my own tip. If someone wasn't paying attention and only chose from the options. Seems a little sketchy. That's my in input. Take it or leave it

Three stars is something good and something needs improvement. The chicken wings were good. They did a good job with the way it's cooked. Crispy skin but not drying in the inside. Devil eggs were ok. Buttermilk biscuits- rock hard not flaky at all. Not much taste . Maybe pillsbury might be better The pear salad (lunch portion) - is deceiving . Literally a side dish. I would assume lunch portion is a good lunch portion , nope. I would not order for HH HH was good on drinks and wings. Service wasn't not bad.

Great ambiance and food are offered at the bar. Outstanding service. Happy Hour Happiness was had by all. There are so many drink options. We ended our happy hour with yummy beignets. They were even yummy leftovers the next day.

We had such a great experience at Voodoo Bayou! Riley, our waiter, was amazing, super friendly, gave awesome recommendations, and checked on us often without ever being overbearing. You can tell he genuinely cares about the experience. Another waitress, Kayla, even stopped by to say hello and make sure we were doing well, which made it feel so warm and welcoming, like you're hanging out in someone's living room in the best way. For food, we started with the biscuits, which were SO good, and the wood fired chili butter oysters that Riley recommended. The oysters were honestly one of the most delicious things I've had in a long time. For our mains, I had the jambalaya and my boyfriend got the Cajun carbonara, and both were incredible. Highly recommend if you're looking for great food and even better service!

Returned to PB a couple years later and had to eat at Voodoo! The beignets are what makes this place a must try! And the food before dessert is solid. Smoked wings were cooked perfectly!! Hint of Smoke and juicy!!! Deviled eggs w Caviar and Black Truffle are not what they are cracked up to be. Just a basic deviled egg taste. Couldnt taste and truffle or caviar. Good but Not worth the price point. Grilled Cheese Oysters were delicious!!! Came out piping hot and when eaten, the are between raw and cooked. So tender and sweet w a parm cheese crust!!! Definitely would buy again! Gumbo- was waaaaay over peppered. The flavor was good w perfectly cooked shrimp but the black pepper was overwhelming the dish. Past experiences, the Gumbo has been one of the best, but not tonight. Now the main reason to visit Voodoo. The beignets- 5 per serving, comes out piping hot covered in powder sugar!!! So light and puffy and each bite melts in your mouth. If I didnt know, I would think there was some type of creme inside! These are NOT like the donut style most places serve. These are pillows of goodness that melts in your mouth. Tip: You must eat them hot!!! If you want very good Cajun food, try Voodoo Bayou!

I've been to Voodoo Bayou many times for both dinner and happy hour. For context, I'm from Texas, right next door to Louisiana, so I know a little something about Cajun food. With that said, Voodoo Bayou is... just okay on the food front. Not bad, but not quite hitting the mark if you're judging by Louisiana standards. That said, I actually like the restaurant more than I like the food. The bartenders have always been cool, and I've never had issues with table service--waitstaff are generally helpful and attentive. The setup is nice too: two sides to the bar inside, part of it extending outside, plus outdoor tables, which makes it a good spot to hang out. Food-wise, the happy hour wings are genuinely delicious and probably my favorite thing on the menu. I've also had the oyster po' boy and the jambalaya, and both were just okay if you're used to stronger Cajun flavors. Overall, it's a cool spot for drinks (might need a few to feel something), atmosphere, and happy hour. I wouldn't go in expecting authentic Louisiana-level Cajun food, but it's still a pleasant place to spend time, especially if you're nearby.

This drink is old fashioned which everyone loves to order.

We have been coming here for a long time and truth be told only because of the server. We used to do brunch but the entertainment never chanythe same swamp cats every week ugh! Please just change it up every now and then I beg! We got the membership we did like the concept of the restaurant. As we wanted the live music and the brunch options were different than most. But if esteban the server was not there service was not great. Yet we sti tried to come because we were members. There lacks effort on the teams on service and the atmosphere is so bland. Even Marco grad was a huge disappointment. We started going to calvaras cantina instead.

Updated beignets aren't as good :(

Love voodoo bayou. Ambiance is great. Food is great. But I come here pretty frequently for the beignets. They recently updated them. Smaller portions and not as good. Unless they go back to the old beignets won't go out of my way to get them.

Unique New Orleans style restaurant serving up tasty Cajun cuisine. The food was delicious and the presentation was nice. The decor inside is beautiful. The service was great. We started with some deviled eggs and it looked adorable. The little swirls was topped with some caviar which was a nice touch. Light and fluffy texture. My jumbo crab cake benedict came out quickly but on the way to the table, one poached egg fell off the stack and the server said he needed to bring it back and redo it. I was impressed by the attention to detail and the staff only wanted to serve their dishes at its best. Great training on Vodoo Bayou! Second plate came out beautifully and tasted delightful. It was tangy, a little spicy and full of flavor. Lots of big chunks of crab meat too. The cheddar grits was creamy and rich. Big portion for a side. Wish I lived closer so I could come more often!

On our drive home from Miami to Jacksonville, we traded Interstate 95 for the slower, more scenic A1A. It made for beautiful views, but after crawling through one coastal town after another, lunch became a priority. A quick search landed us at Stage Kitchen & Bar on PGA Boulevard, a restaurant I later learned had earned a place in the 2025 Michelin Guide. After one meal, it was easy to understand why. We began with two appetizers that could not have been more different, duck confit egg rolls and a grilled cheese. Calling the grilled cheese "just a grilled cheese" would be unfair. Brie melted between perfectly griddled bread kissed with white truffle oil already sounds luxurious. Pair it with a bright mango jam and suddenly a childhood comfort food becomes something unexpectedly elegant. Richness met sweetness in all the right proportions. The duck confit egg rolls were equally memorable. The duck was deeply seasoned with Middle Eastern spices, giving each bite layers of warm, savory flavor. The accompanying peanut chutney added sweetness, nuttiness, and just enough contrast to keep the dish from becoming too heavy. These egg rolls packed far more personality than their modest appearance suggested. For lunch, my wife ordered the grilled black grouper sandwich. The fish, sourced fresh from local suppliers, was flaky, moist, and clean tasting. Lettuce, tomato, onion, and a malt vinegar aioli gave the sandwich brightness without overwhelming the fish. It was simple, balanced, and exactly what a fresh fish sandwich should be. I chose Stage's signature burger, two Certified Angus Beef patties topped with aged white cheddar, caramelized onions, sunflower sprouts, and their house "fancy sauce." This is the kind of burger that reminds you why burgers became America's favorite sandwich in the first place. Cooked to a juicy medium, every bite was rich without becoming heavy. The caramelized onions added sweetness, the white cheddar delivered sharpness, and the sunflower sprouts provided freshness and texture. The fancy sauce contributed just enough heat to keep everything interesting without stealing the spotlight. Dessert continued the restaurant's habit of taking familiar flavors and giving them thoughtful refinement. My sticky rice ice cream, finished with mango sauce and toasted coconut, captured everything I love about mango sticky rice while transforming it into something lighter and more playful. It was creative without feeling gimmicky. My wife ordered three macarons from local pastry maker Macaroner, S'mores, Passion Fruit, and Lime Coconut. Each shell was delicately crisp before giving way to a soft, airy center, exactly as a proper macaron should. Stage Kitchen & Bar takes familiar dishes and quietly elevates them through technique, quality ingredients, and restraint. Nothing feels overcomplicated or designed simply to impress. Every plate feels carefully considered. Sometimes trusting Google is a gamble. This time, it paid off. Great restaurants don't always announce themselves. Sometimes they're simply waiting for hungry travelers willing to take the next exit.

It's not a big deal, but it would have been nice to remember my note, especially as it was not particularly crowded on a Monday night in August. I'm just realizing now that we didn't get any bread -- or any offer of bread. No wonder I wasn't full when I left. I had a spritz and my friend had a mocktail. She liked her drink better than I did mine, but that's fine as it kept me from ordering another. I stuck with water after that. We had the shrimp and lemongrass dumplings for an appetizer. They came with a good sauce and were enjoyable. What I did love was my cod entree. Cod Romesco -- served with broccolini, shallots, lemon butter sauce, and parsnip purée. It was delicious, but I guess the small amount of puree on top was the starch/carb part. It needed fries or mashed or roasted potatoes --something heartier (for me anyway as I'm not on a diet). My friend enjoyed her fried goat cheese salad that has arugula, cherry tomatoes, walnuts, red onion, and honey in a vinaigrette, and she ordered an add-on of grilled salmon. I was hoping when we chose a dessert to share it would come with a candle -- thus my note when I made the reservation followed by the check-in with the hostess. We shared a carrot cake in a glass jar, and when I mentioned the birthday, our sweet server Sophie brought some berries with a lit candle. The manager walked by at the end to ask if we enjoyed everything, and we assured him we did.

Fewer can actually run a bar -- read the room,…read morestay two steps ahead, and make you feel like the only person there while quietly handling eleven other people. Michael can. Patient, attentive, and dialed in on details most folks wouldn't catch. Ask him something and you get a real answer, not a script. Cam backed him up without a single dropped stitch. The food didn't just keep up -- it held its own. Every plate. Skip the table. Sit at the bar. Hope Michael's working.

I was really looking forward to trying The Library Speakeasy in Lake Worth, and at first, it lived…read moreup to the hype. The vibe is super cool, cozy seating, great ambience, dim lighting that feels like a hidden gem. I sat on the comfy couch and ordered sushi from OKA, which was honestly better than ever. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The cocktails were delicious too; strong, creative, and exactly what I wanted for a chill night out. I was having a great time, enjoying my meal and drinks, when disaster struck right at the end. I had literally just finished eating when a huge roach crawled right by my feet on the couch area. It was massive and absolutely disgusting. I jumped out of my seat so fast, thankfully I was done with my food, or I probably would've lost it completely. I didn't scream (which is a miracle because I definitely would have at home), but it was such a gross turn-off. I get that this is Lake Worth and Florida has its bugs, but come on, a roach that big in a dining establishment? That's not okay. You really need to step up the pest control. Also, the bathrooms could use some serious help. They're outdated and feel neglected, definitely in need of an update or renovation to match the rest of the cool vibe. Overall, the sushi shines, the drinks are spot-on, and the atmosphere is fun... but that roach ruined the ending for me, and the bathrooms don't help. Fix those things, and this place could be amazing. Hoping it was just a one-off bad night!
