I've eaten at several Tommy Bahama Restaurants and all (but the Plano, TX restaurant) were great. (The Plano restaurant had the worst service of any restaurant I've ever visited). But we're not talking about that outlier, in this case, we're talking about the Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar - Harbourside Place in Jupiter. The Ambiance: Every Tommy Bahamas restaurant has a great tropical style and the Harbourside Place restaurant is no different. Whenever I eat at one, I feel like I've just hopped over to one of my favorite Caribbean Islands. The Service: The service here was spot on, attentive but not overbearing. Our server was happy to cater to all our requests with a smile and impressive efficiency. The Food: We shared the Macadamia Crusted Goat Cheese which was served with small chunks of mango salsa, sweet soy and flatbread. Was it good? Well, we decided we would come here to dine just on this dish alone! This is an appetizer you MUST try. For our entrees, my lovely bride chose the Parmesan-Crusted chicken which was topped with a delicious herb cheese and red pepper cream cheese sauce, accompanied by a Yukon Gold mash potatoes and grilled broccoli. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the mashed potatoes were unbelievably creamy. I had a wonderfully tender Macadamia Nut Crusted Snapper that was accompanied by a lightly seasoned almond rice and tender grilled asparagus. The dish also came with a wasabi-soy beurre blanc dipping sauce. I'm not sure why it states wasabi since it was not spicy whatsoever but it was a perfect accompaniment for the fish. For dessert we shared the key lime pie which was creamy and more to my wife's liking (not very tart) than mine (very tart). But I must admit, although it could use a bit more bite, was scrumptious. The bottom Line: As always my "Customer So What" ... would I come back? If it's a Tommy Bahamas restaurant, the answer is always a forgone conclusion. My family and I have been coming to this particular Tommy Bahama restaurant for years now. Every time we dine here we are always floored with how lovely everyone here is. The biggest thing right out the gate is that our usual waitress, Alexis, is hands down the most personable, thoughtful, and hilarious people we've ever had the pleasure to have as a waitress. Absolute awesome person. Additionally, the manager is such a kind person who clearly has a knack for hospitality management. Both these staff members remember us even if its like 9 whole months since our last visit as we live in California and greet us so warmly every time. The food here is so bizarrely good. The coconut shrimp deserves the hype. The entrees are delicious. Please do yourself a favor and don't skip dessert. Seriously, their dessert is so good. Cannot stress this enough. We had reservations for 5 outside for dinner. Dylan A. was our server. He was friendly and helpful. We tried the special biscuit skillet and warm goat cheese dip for our appetizers. For dinner, we enjoyed the crab cakes, burger, sanibel chicken, and creole shrimp & crab pasta. Dylan brought us the dessert tray which was awesome- I love being able to see the options. This restaurant is in a good location. It is right off the intracoastal. You can't see the water from the restaurant, but you can walk by the water after. The dishes are all pretty pricey and I don't think the quality of food live up to the cost. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at Tommy Bahama. We were seated quickly and it was absolutely perfect outside. They had heaters out so it was an ideal temperature. From start to finish this restaurant did not disappoint. This restaurant is located in outdoor mall area with gorgeous scenic views of the water when sitting outside. The ambience is very nice inside and outside. There is also a convenient parking garage nearby. The entire staff was very nice and our waitress was also very attentive. The crab bisque soup was out of this world with a generous portion of crab. The herb stuffed chicken was ample for two people and delicious with the mashed potatoes and broccoli. Going in and being greeted and being helped to find a size was the best part. Check out not good. The lady in front of me was buying Christmas presents for her nephew she was up to $2000 which got her 2 helpers and a manager while the 3 others in line with me had to wait. She was $10 away from the next coupon, we waited while the nephew went to get some socks- he came back with underwear which made him closer to the next coupon. The tacos were tiny in my opinion but I guess that's usually the case when the taco shell is a wonton lol. The service could have been better. Hence no five star review. We came in for dinner on a rainy Wednesday night. You have to walk through the gift shop to get to your table, but FYI the gift shop does not stay open past 8 PM. For the table to share, we got the large coconut shrimp, the hummus & whipped feta and a steak flatbread. The whipped feta was by far our favorite thing we ate! For my entree, I got the coconut crusted crab cakes with mashed potatoes - fabulous meal. Service was okay, but they weren't busy & still weren't very attentive. My friend ordered the miso ora king salmon bowl and I ordered the macadamia nut crusted snapper with almond rice and asparagus. My dish was amazing! The taste, texture, all of it! YUMMY! My friend's dish arrived with a very small piece of salmon. She discussed this with the manager and he brought her an additional piece so it was remedied in the end. However, we learned the salmon for this particular dish only comes in 4 ounces. This shocked both of us. We both order salmon often and typically we receive 5-6 ounces with an entrée. My boyfriend is a huge Tommy Bahama lover so we specifically made a stop in Jupiter on our way from Melbourne down to Palm Beach for the weekend to experience Tommy Bahama Restaurant. The store and restaurant are absolutely beautiful and open up to a waterfront view. We were able to watch sunset after dinner which was great. We started out with blood orange margaritas and the coconut shrimp which were both love at first bite/sip. The shrimp were jumbo and some of the best coconut shrimp I've ever had. He ordered the filet mignon and I got the macadamia crusted red snapper. I cannot stop thinking about that red snapper. I would eat it every day if I could. I don't know much about steak but he was very happy with his steak. We were seated inside and there were two tables near us with small children and a chihuahua. The tables were not together and the dogs were definitely not service animals. That threw me off a bit. The bathrooms were also filthy and service was a little off. Our appetizer hit the table before water or cocktails ever did which isn't a big deal but I'm just using it as an example why we thought service could've been better. We are huge Tommy Bahama restaurant fans, and the Jupiter location did not disappoint. It is connected to a hotel and retail shop with most of the seating outside, but as it's HOT and summertime we chose to sit inside where we could still see the water and boats go by. Our food was delicious, as always, and we decided to try some things we'd never had on the seasonal menu and regular menu. Drinks were outstanding - mai tai for my husband and a grapefruit basil martini for myself. SO good. Onto our appetizer- seasonal corn and shrimp dumplings in a very flavorful and slightly spicy broth. There were SEVEN of them which was great as we decided to also split the filet tacos (2 tacos with chips and salsa) and......last but not lease the seasonal dessert - a warm berry cobbler with ice cream. My husband said it's the best cobbler he's ever had! Our experience was even better thanks to our sweet server, Emme, and all her dining recommendations as well as her knowledge of the area! We have seen this hybrid clothing store/ restaurant concept in a few other resort towns but this was the first time we ate at one. Some local friends suggested this location. We got there early and took advantage of their happy hour at the bar 3-6 weekdays. I had a couple of their mai tais which at $9 each is a decent price ($14 regular price is not worth it). The drinks were flavorful with a good kick. The mojito was also good. We ordered an app of the blackened mahi tacos and they were excellent. Great sauce and fixings and just the right amount of heat. The bartender was friendly and very customer focused. Once everyone had gathered we moved outside to a table on their lovely patio closest to the water and away from the noise and commotion of the restaurant. (In the bar area there are some tables that are practically in the clothing store - very weird.) Two had the salmon bowl and the salmon was done perfectly. Both enjoyed their meal. I had the macadamia nut encrusted snapper which was very good. The only negative was the over salted mahi dish that one of our group had. We then shared a slice of the key lime pie. Brought a balloon and decorations for the table and asked the hostess and manager if they could make the table look special bc we were bringing parents for 55th wedding annvy that evening for dinner. I asked them to put a happy anniversary sign on the table that I had brought and they said "we don't do that". When we arrived that night for our reservation neither the hostess or server acknowledged the occasion even though there was a happy anniversary balloon and gift bag at the table. They made zero effort to help make it a special occasion. Couldn't believe they wouldn't take two minutes to put a sign on the table or even acknowledge the occasion. Came in for happy hour on a Saturday around 4pm. We ordered some drinks and small plates from the happy hour menu. The food was just good. Our favorite was the perfectly cooked cheeseburger sliders. The coconut shrimp had a lot of breading but the sweet jam-type sauce was delicious. The blackened mahi tacos tasted fresh and were seasoned precisely. The macadamia crusted goat cheese was a tad tart for me, even with the pineapple salsa and macadamia crust. The drinks... just don't. I'm not sure if it was because our bartender was fresh or not but those were probably the worst drinks we have ever had.
