It has been a while since we were back and it gotten extremely popular. On a Saturday night, we reluctantly booked a late dinner for 745pm because no earlier reservation. We finally got our table at 830pm. Not ideal and a bit frustrating to see some people got seated right away at an empty table, while-we got put in a high top bar table. What is that about. The high top wasn't big enough for 4 people for dinner. Finally after talking the servers, they sat us at a regular table at 840pm. We ordered apps and main entry. The food was good. Crostini's were topped with raw beef - despite no mention of that on menu description. Taco was disgusting. Corn pasta probably has more sugar added to it than a gallon of ice cream. It was our first time visiting Ara and we were NOT disappointed. The ambiance when you walk in was calming and dark, perfect for an intimate dinner for us. Our server was so sweet and attentive. She gave insight to all the best dishes and her favorite choices. We had seen the lamb chop lollipops all over social media. We HAD to get them are they tasted incredible. Excellent dining experience from start to finish. Our party of 6 arrived in time for our 6p reservation and were seated immediately. Our server was top notch. Respectful of our conversations and did not interrupt nor rush us. She was always available but did not hover. The food was tremendous. We all had something different and each person loved what they had. We ordered 2 deserts and each was again excellent. Wasn't sure what to expect, but this is a must go restaurant. The atmosphere was great and the service was above and beyond. We started off with the Nicky Nice Expresso Martini lived the meringue on top. I want sure about the warm ceasar but wow I would definitely recommend as well as the shaved tenderloin crestini, the goat cheese chili was the perfect touch. I ordered the Dover sole wrapped in phyilo, the lemon caviar cream sauce was out of control. We also had the Chicken Parm in pyllo. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was delicious. Ara once again did not disappoint on Christmas Eve! The food once again was consistently outstanding. The specials were out of this world. Beef Wellington melted in your mouth. The restaurant is really beautiful. We went for Sunday brunch . Our server was great . Now let's get into the food. Food was ok. We all got something different . I think brunch is new for them and I get it. We tired chicken parm sliders and tacos for a snack. Good but tacos lacked some meat. It was few lil bacon bits in there . I ordered an egg sandwich as my large plate which I had to send back because eggs were super runny and I asked for them to be fried hard no yolk. One friend has shrimp & grits she said it was ok but could use some spice . Portion was small. One friend had steak and eggs it was good. There was some kind of brown sauce on it they didn't like . My other friend got chicken & waffles she really enjoyed the waffles but she didn't care for the chicken . They were supposed to be served with a cream cheese type of frosting which they ran out of . But did have cotton candy on top which was cute. Our snacks came out pretty quick. But it took a LONG time to get our food . The bottomless is $50. I opted for 1 espresso martini which was pretty good. I think $50 is pretty pricy for bottomless but looked like you could mix & match. . Our waitress thanked us for our patience . There is no parking so it's nice they had complementary valet parking. Overall, the restaurant is really nice and maybe dinner service would be better but when we left, it was pretty full for brunch so maybe other people feel a little different. I don't have high expectations when it comes to food in this area of Florida. But this Mediterranean spot really fills a void in the Jupiter/Palm Beach area. The restaurant offers a casual atmosphere with an open kitchen and large front room with a nice bar. It looks like many of the contemporary spots around, kind of non descriptive but what sets it apart is the creative menu, solid food preparation and service that really delivers. The squid appetizer was delicious. The Turkish dumplings were well received by my husband and father who shared them. Of note, there was a blond hair stuck in one of the dumplings and when we pointed it out to our server Charles, he looked mortified. He was super professional, apologized and removed the item from our bill. Our entrees included the sea bream which was cooked to perfection. I opted for 3 grilled lamb chops. They were supposed to be cooked medium rare, but sadly they arrived very rare. Charles agreed and took them right back to the kitchen and the next go around they were perfect. Oh and the grilled broccolini side... yum! The cocktails are also well done. A nut tart arrived to celebrate the birthdays at the table and the dessert was a stunner! So overall, despite a few missteps which can certainly happen at any dining establishment, we enjoyed our experience here. Having Charles really made the difference and we would return. I recommend sharing a lot of the dishes so you can sample many of the wonderful items. And if you're gluten free like me, they have several options which are appropriately marked. read more

Fancy, Shmanzy! I've been hearing about Ara on social media and my husband and I decided to give it a go and determine for ourselves what the hype was about. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, prime for a romantic dinner with an amazingly decorated bar with great happy hour specials. The location is in a weird spot near Tequesta/Jupiter junction but after trying the restaurant I understood, it's a whole experience. We arrived right when they opened so we stood outside with other waiting for door to open it's so good it had a line up of people waiting think open,open,open... complimentary valet is the way, nicest cars up front. That's just the beginning, we sat at the bar and were quickly greeted by the bartender, she made a perfect Margarita, we had short rib gnocchi and my husband had the burger with happy hour special. The gnocchi dish was so good. I don't usually eat all my food and my husband loves to eat what I don't eat at restaurants but I wasn't letting him help me this time. We had dessert , Ara Misu, which was a whole experience too. I say experience because really I began thinking about how my food was eaten you have to get one bit of the top and a little from the bottom and then the taste just does this crazy coolinary thing in your mouth. This was an extraordinary surprise! The chef hails from French Laundry and the excellence was clear. We started with a cocktail that was both unique and tasty. We coursed our dinner with cold appetizers to start blue fin gazpacho soup and steak carpaccio - surprising and delicious. Next warm plates - Turkish dumplings and a small order of sweet corn tortelloni. The tortelloni was incredible with Fresno chili and a scrumptious foam! Dinner - get the dover sole. Finally got to try Ara! It's a chic spot with dim. I got a white wine, which was good and we started off with the stuffed bread, which was my favorite! It had olives and beef in it, so good. I ordered the salmon with quinoa, which was cooked very nicely and was a great pairing. The broccolini was great too. Our waitress was nice and the food came out fast (the bread took a little longer but main courses were fast). We did make a reservation saying we're celebrating our anniversary, but didn't get a special dessert which I thought they might do that, but they didn't. That would have been a nice touch:). If you want terrible service, dry fish and average steak then come here. The people are terrible at their job. The owner Steve was a GM at stage who was fired. The staff never checks on you or refills drinks. The food is sub par at best. Fish was awful as it's always dry. The steak had a sub par crust and a little over cooked for medium rare. Wow- their sweet corn tortellini & grilled lamb chops are two MUST HAVE dishes! The cuisine here is absolutely incredible. Get the Bread & Ziki (tzaziki) as a starter. Service was very good & the restaurant was dimly lit and somewhat romantic. This is certainly a nicer sit-down dinner spot with fairly pricier menu options, so I think I will only be dining here for special occasions. Very chic new modern restaurant located in Jupiter! There menu is very diverse- items from Turkish to Italian dishes! The service was okay. I was their with my family for my Mom's birthday celebration and found it a bit odd the waitress asked my Mom "How old she was turning", don't know if this is a forgotten rule but never ask a lady her age... respect 101 in my opinion. In honor of celebrating my Mom's bday we requested one of the desserts they had a special for that night, but moments later after ordering the waitress said they had sold out...then moments after that came back again saying they found leftovers from they day prior if we still wanted it? For a "5" star restaurant our waitress was not the most professional. The bussers however are really attentive with clearing plates/ silverware in between courses. Also makes a killer espresso martini - the beef carpaccio and taziki with home made pita were absolutely 10/10 and would go back just for that! This was one of the most carelessly managed dining experiences I've had in Jupiter. Despite having a reservation, we waited over 30 minutes to be seated while empty tables sat unused during prime dinner service, pointing to poor management rather than demand. Once seated, drink orders were wrong and made with incorrect liquors, requiring remakes. The most serious issue was a food-allergen failure at multiple levels. At no point did our server ask whether anyone in our party had food allergies--something that should be standard practice. Bread was then served that contained peanuts but was not labeled as such on the menu or signage. One guest with a peanut allergy had already eaten some before realizing the issue and was forced to leave the restaurant to urgently obtain medication to prevent a medical situation. We raised these concerns calmly with management, including the owner, expecting accountability. Instead, the response was dismissive and confrontational. The owner said, "tell your friend how to read," then attempted to intimidate the situation by calling staff over rather than de-escalating or taking responsibility. There was no apology, no follow-up, and no concern shown for the allergy incident. Between the long wait, incorrect orders, failure to ask about allergies, unmarked allergens, and the owner's behavior, this restaurant appears under-managed, under-trained, and unconcerned with basic guest safety. Ara is a brand new Mediterranean restaurant in Jupiter, Florida. I don't say this often but they exceeded all my expectations. To me it felt almost like a Mediterranean fusion but very high quality. Shoutout to Miles for being a great waiter. Miles was very helpful in accommodating for gluten free allergies. So, if you're looking at the menu online and you're gluten free, they can make accommodations for you. Shoutout to the owner Steven who seems like a very hard working and overall great person who was just so nice and a pleasure to speak with. I wish him and his restaurant much success! Every dish we had from here was absolutely phenomenal. Its ambiance is so nice and gives off a luxury and modern Mediterranean vibe. My favorite appetizer was the Turkish Dumplings. My favorite entree is really a tough choice but it's between the lamb chops which was out of this world and served with delicious tzatziki. My other favorite entree was the Octopus. I am also a bit concerned ordering Octopus at nice restaurants because it's usually expensive and a small dish. However, at Ara they give you a substantial amount of Octopus and the dish exceeded my expectations, for sure. For dessert you must get the chocolate chip cookie that's stuffed with Nutella and a side of some ice cream and milk foam on the side. This place is a great spot for a date night or a romantic evening, a delicious meal, or a place for a celebratory dinner or really anything. You can not go wrong at Ara and I will most definitely be returning. I can say with confidence that I highly recommend this place and you will thank me later for going here. We had an excellent first experience with the best waiter in the high top area about a week ago. Blonde guy. Can't recall his name. He was a fantastic waiter. Even caught that we asked for non microgreens and before it hit the table took it away to fix. He really was good with recommendation for our first time. Good arancini, and really good spicy vodka rigatoni. We came back because of that night. Tonight we brought the family and had a not so stellar dinner. I asked our waitress Jenna if we could make the spicy vodka rigatoni less spicy and she said yes they can do a non spicy - vodka sauce. They couldn't. I had Marinara on pasta and even said something to the waitress that it wasn't vodka sauce and she didn't care or acknowledge it. Just asked if I wanted a box. My father had the salmon- so fishy you could smell it the whole meal- would not oder that even on a Friday night there. My mother had the gnocchi and said it was good. My MIL had the eggplant and said it was just ok. The two chicken parm's were too fried but the boys were so hungry they ate it. The waitress also never asked how everyone's meal was- it wasn't until she was asking if we needed a box that she came over otherwise my mom said she would have asked for extra cheese and another wine. Vegetable lasagna was so tasty and tender ( no pasta in it) we sat at the bar and chatted and were not rushed. This place was amazing when it first opened...unfortunately like most places around here I don't see it surviving long term. The service/management has went way downhill. They sat us at a horrible two top in the middle of the walkway because the hostess stated they were fully committed (Although the high top tables remained unseated for the duration that we dined). When I voiced concern the waitress and hostess basically argued with me and dismissed my concern. The hostess looked like a teenager and was completely overwhelmed and unfriendly. I asked to speak with a manager who took 20 minutes to come by then told me I would have to essentially deal with it or they'd have nowhere else to put us. So dismissive- he should find a new job not in hospitality management. The food was subpar at best. The drinks used to be strong they tasted like expensive juice. We had a bunch of the appetizers. We started with one fun drinks. (not I) that looked good. followed by the apps. Tzatzki and fresh Pita, flat bread 2 kinds and lamb dumplings. Followed by sharing with my wife spicy homemade rigatoni and Lambchops cooked to perfection. other had the grilled Cesar salad.
