The ambiance exudes New York sophistication--private, with ambient lighting that's dark in a good way and filled with great energy. The service was excellent. We visited during Happy Hour, from 5 pm to 7 pm. Favorite Dish: Italian Fried Risotto White truffle, mushroom foam, shaved parmesan, lemon zest, basil - Fantastic! 10/10. The white truffle elevates the dish to another level. Probably one of the best fried risottos I've ever had. Mediterranean Stuffed Flatbread Mushrooms, tomato, tzatziki, ribeye cap - My least favorite dish. I loved the spice, but didn't enjoy the mix of flavors, and it was also difficult to eat. Roasted Squid Spanish chorizo, grapefruit, lemon, sumac, cilantro - Perfectly cooked, not too hard or soft. Well-balanced with lemon zest, though I couldn't taste much of the chorizo. The squid was fresh and cooked to perfection. Drinks: * Old Fashioned: Absolutely amazing--well-balanced and smooth from the first sip to the last. * Espresso Martini: Not too sweet, perfectly balanced, and not overpowering. * Apple Cocktail: Surprisingly, my favorite drink! Let's start with the good. The flavors and food were awesome. The server was very nice but handicapped by the kitchen The not so good: took over an hour to get the first bite of food and half the table was done before the rest came out. Dishes were missing key pieces (the promised crostini w pasta for example) and never arrived although asked for. Had an appt to get to so ordered dessert only if it would be out within 15 mins - it was promised to be prompt but .... Came out in 40 mins and we could not enjoy due to the tardiness. At the end they "comped" the desserts (that we didn't have time to eat) and one drink for 3 of the 5 people. That was very disappointing and almost insulting considering the over 2-hr time it took and the massive apologies of how bad the lunch timing went. Ara's opening day and we were very happy with everything. We got there right at 5, and it was soon packed. Ambience:5 stars; food :5 stars : service: 4 stars . Our bartender, Sean was excellent. Some of the food runners were not sure of what plates went to who but it being opening day, this is an easy fix. We each had an espresso martini. We ordered the artichokes, salmon crudite and tzikiki and bread. Everything is made from scratch in house and each was amazingly delicious. What a great addition to the neighborhood. Opened for only three weeks, we came and tried it. We loved it. Came here for a birthday celebration. Food and staff are amazing. We've been trying to get a reservation for a while and finally went the other evening. We were lucky to get two seats at the bar. Bartenders are great. Very friendly and knowledgeable and made me an amazing mezcal drink. We planned on ordering entrees but were so stuffed after sharing four appetizers. We had the salmon crudo, porchetta tacos, roasted squid, and Mediterranean stuffed flatbread (I could eat this everyday). Each dish was a nice size and the ingredients put together played off of each other so nice. I ended my meal with a delicious espresso martini. I think it's been open for 4-5 months but this was our first time. We had a b-day celebration with 3 couples and we had the "chef's table" which I would highly recommend. The service was great and the menu had lots of great items. We shared several appetizers which included the salmon crudo, Turkish duplings, and breads & Ziki. For entrees, we had warm Cesar salad, house ravioli (big hit), and prime ribeye. The owner and GM, Steven, came by to say hello and to check on us at the end. The bar was really cool. They have valet but we took an Uber. I would highly recommend Ara...we'll definitely add this to our favorite places. . read more

Wow! Everything about Ara is tastefully done, from the design of the bar to the menu. My husband and I went for a quick drink last Thursday, after work and ended up staying until almost close! We couldn't stop ordering! Already made reservations for next weekend. We're so happy Ara opened up in Jupiter and can't wait for more of those life changing desserts! Busy with diners on a Wednesday evening in summer, a good sign for this new eatery. I had the chicken parm in phyllo which we excellent. My buddy had an eggplant dish (something I'd never order) which he said was the best eggplant he ever ate. His wife had the sole which was fresh and well presented. The drinks were excellent and the service was flawless. Thank you, Charles! I would return to this little corner of Tequesta, prior home of Pasquale's and of Crosby. My husband and I went here for a date night on a Saturday with no reservation. They said they could get us an outdoor table, so we were waiting but then a couple at the bar cancelled their reservation so we took that! My husband got the lamb and I got a half serving of pasta with chicken. We both liked our food. We were both still hungry after, which was on purpose because we wanted dessert. My husband got the...Aramisu I think it was called, a play on tiramisu. I got the chocolate chip skillet cookie. I don't normally like tiramisu but it was so good! Oh I got the "Aloe, How are ya?" Drink (that wasn't the exact name but I can't think of it) and it was my favorite part of my meal. The rest was not worth the price I would say. My husband really liked all of his meal but was a little surprised that the lamb didn't come with any sides. Meh...still working out the kinks as it's only been open a few weeks. The service was pretty good and the decor and ambiance were the highlights. Menu is underwhelming and over priced. Had the menu been available online before hand I'm not sure I still would have gone. I ordered the ny strip rare. It was cooked to my liking and well seasoned but the plate was covered with red myoglobin implying it was not well rested before slicing. The potato side dish was ok at best. For dessert we had chocolate cake with a sweet corn ice cream. The cake was good but the ice cream was subpar. They had made a reservation at a new restaurant called Ara in Jupiter. Let's just start with one word: REMARKABLE! Not that it matters, but I've spent nearly my entire career in various roles within the hospitality industry. This place made a wonderful impression. These folks take home a perfect report card from Restaurant School: HOSPITALITY: 10 AMBIANCE: 10 OVERALL FOOD: 10 SERVICE: 10 WINE LIST: 10 And believe it or not, MUSIC: 10 I believe the music tied all the other aspects together perfectly. Owner and General Manager, one word. "Polish" Steven came over and spent quite a bit of time with us, sharing his passion for the industry and explaining all the details that went into creating the restaurant. Executive Chef: Kayla, who moved from Las Vegas to The French Laundry. That alone speaks volumes -- and she's only 28 years old! Pastry Chef: Van, also trained at The French Laundry! Sommelier: Eumi, whose knowledge and passion for wine is overwhelming. After a quick stop at the bar for a cocktail, we dined "Family Style." My son checked with all of us to see what we'd enjoy, and then placed the order for the table. We started with appetizers: Italian Fried Risotto, Mediterranean Stuffed Flatbread, and Salmon Crudo. All of them were fantastic and plentiful for the table. For entrées, we enjoyed Spicy Rigatoni, Grilled Lamb Lollipop Chops, and a USDA Prime Grade Ribeye Steak. Each entrée was served with perfectly paired starches and vegetables. Everything was cooked to perfection. We also shared Grilled Broccolini and a Warm Caesar Salad with our meal. The Broccolini was my personal favorite. My son spoke extensively with Eumi, the sommelier, and they chose two wines: The Hamel Nuns Canyon and The Haynes Vineyard Forgeron Syrah. Both wines paired beautifully with our meal, though I had a soft spot for the Syrah. For dessert, we followed the recommendation of our spectacular server, opting for the Warm Chocolate Cookie with Ice Cream and the Lemon Ricotta Cheesecake. They were out of this world! I do have to apologize -- I don't have any pictures. I realized I wanted to post this review only after we had finished. Shame on me! From start to finish, this was a complete "Dining Experience." Loved this place. Met friends at the bar for drinks before their dinner reservations and then ended up staying and ordering dinner at the bar. So glad we did. Beautiful interior with a great vibe. Love that you can see the JUP lighthouse in the distance from the windows surrounding the bar. Service was exceptional - from Emma our bartender to several others checking in throughout our stay, including the owner. The gin cocktail with cucumber and mint was delicious, light and refreshing. I've had some incredible tzatziki in my life but Ara's bread and ziki is off the charts. Wow! It's like flavors of the best NY everything bagel, with a little of my grandma's pierogies and pita all in one. House ravioli with charred eggplant and garlic panko was also a highlight. The NY strip was cooked to perfection but could do without the charred onion underneath which had an overpowering bitterness to it. The guys wished they had the couple of tvs on in the background earlier but were happy they turned the NBA finals on when they started. Overall, a lovely, well run and high quality place. We were excited to try this new place. The ambience is nice, they definitely spend money on it , not sure about the layout. The server was nice. We love food and we were disappointed . We had the tartare and calamari as appetizers , both dishes are very unbalanced on flavors , to much citrus , to much spices , too much garlic ..that cover the flavor of the meat and calamari . We ordered the ravioli , same problem ..all the flavors covered with the same taste . Too many ingredients that cover the essence of the dishes and I still have that over garlic flavor in my mouth. Poor reservation management - feels like they double book and expect people to wait. Had a reservation for a high top table only to find out the tables were all taken up by people waiting to get seated and just having drinks. Why even offer reservations for these tables then? After 30+ minutes of waiting, we decided to sit outside where they use heaters for light.. in South Florida... Terrible first impression. As locals, we were excited to add this restaurant to our rotation list; however, the way the hostess handled the situation was an extreme turnoff.
