First I must give accolades to the GM Walter and our server Angie both amazing, professional, fun and great at their jobs! As for the food and service once again they did not disappoint at all! Our main dishes were the Duck it was so good we got two of them and two Tomahawk's all cooked to perfection. I think we ordered 9 appetizers as well to go along, all great, not too bad for five Italian guys out to break bread and have some laughs. Very nice inside. Simply off the hook atmosphere. The service was impeccable. We got the Brisket Bao Bun & Pork Belly Bao Bun and it was delicious. Liked the Pork Belly the best but both were delicious. I ordered the BBQ Duck Fried Rice and my wife Brisket Fried Rice. The food was fantastic. We should have shared. We finally got to dine at Blackbird Modern Asian. Beyond the crowd, the decor was just as I expected, beautiful artwork, sculptures and screens, all in rich asian colors. We were seated within five minutes of our scheduled reservation. The service was excellent. Our server, Jonathan checked back on us regularly and made good suggestions. The food was served as soon as it was fired, so everything came to the table hot and fresh. Overall, the food was good - - not always great. The Peking Duck was exceptional. The duck meat was tender and flavorful, the skin crisp and the portion massive. I loved that the steamed pancakes were separated by thin paper layers, so they didn't stick together. The brisket fried rice was good - I still prefer roast pork, but that's a matter of personal taste. The Chicken Pad Thai had a wonderful flavor and balance - but the noodles were overcooked, and so a bit gummy. The orange Chicken had wonderful flavor, and I really enjoyed the perfectly cooked orange peel. Unfortunately, the chicken was overcooked - and a bit stringy. The bao buns were disappointing. The Brisket was not sauced and it was a bit dry. There was a sauce over the top, but it would have been much better had the brisket been dressed. Nicole, our server, was fantastic super knowledgeable and helped us navigate the shareable menu with great recommendations. The cocktails were next level silky smooth and some of the best I've had. You really can't go wrong with any of their specialty drinks. Food-wise, the crab fried rice was the star of the show. It comes topped with a generous scoop of lump crab and was absolutely delicious. 05/02/26 This was our second time visiting for our anniversary. We liked it so much last year, we chose to celebrate our 22nd anniversary here too. The service and food were just as good as we remembered. We had an early reservation and were there for happy hour. We both decided to get a drink and I was happy to hear that mocktails were included on the happy hour. I enjoyed my yin and yang mocktail and really liked the real ginger taste. We then started off with the short rib and bone marrow dumplings. They remind me more of a wonton than a dumpling, but either way, they were delicious. My husband really wanted the peking duck, but after looking at the menu we saw that it said after 5pm and it was only somewhere between 4:15-4:30. We decided to ask our server to be sure and she graciously was willing to go to the back and ask the kitchen. To our surprise, we were able to order the duck. The duck was interesting and tasty, but it takes up a lot of room on the table. You need at least a table of four to accommodate everything. We also ordered the DanDan noodles. They were quite oily and a tad spicy. Not something I'd order again, but at least we got to try them. We finished off our meal with the Chocolate Pistachio Bomb and it did not disappoint. Since our server knew we were celebrating our anniversary, our dessert came out with a small chocolate sign that read Happy Anniversary. It also came out with a sparkling firecracker to add to the celebration. Hot chocolate sauce was poured over the chocolate "bomb" shell to reveal the chocolate cake underneath which added to the tableside presentation of our dessert. We did inquire about the celebration platter which is supposed to be for 4-6 guests. I didn't really care and thought for the right price, we might just splurge and indulge in everything. We were told it is $75 and was a smaller portion of all 5 desserts. However, if you order each of the five desserts separate, the total is $72. So, it didn't really make sense to pay $75 for a smaller portion of everything. So, we just decided to get one dessert. In contrast to the service and food, this year we were sat at a two top and it was uncomfortably small for the amount of food, plates, beverages, etc you end up having on the table. Our two top was on the first floor and on the opposite side of our table was a bench seat where people sit while they are waiting for a table. Instead of a wall or solid decor separating our table from the people sitting and waiting, there was a slatted divider type thing. We ended up having people pretty much starring at us while we dined because instead of using that as a backrest, they turned towards our table while sitting on the bench. It was also awkward because as soon as the duck showed up it took up pretty much the whole table. We had to resort to taking some items off the table, including the Chinese pancakes for the duck, and placing them on the booth directly next to my husband. I know the restaurant is crowded and the tables are not secluded, but this was the most awkward dining experience I've had in a while and we felt like we were having dinner with strangers right at our table and no room on the actual table to enjoy our meal. Despite the table situation, I would still return, but would be sure to make some requests about my table seating because it really does matter where you sit. read more

Great dining experience. From the time you arrive and are greeted from the valet staff, the young ladies at the hostess station to the waitstaff and servers they were all extremely pleasant and welcoming. Blackbird is pretty much a family style food sharing restaurant. Arriving at 4:30 they have a happy hour with great prices for 50% off drinks and discount on certain food items. We tried many different selections from starting with the poke on rice crisps for an appetizer which was fantastic. Then we went on to our dinner course, starting with lobster garlic noodles, Bangkok street noodles, Orange chicken, crab fried rice, beef fried rice and General TSO's Tikka Masala chicken. Every dish was absolutely fantastic. It looked like a great dessert menu, but everyone was so full that we could not fit dessert. We will definitely leave room the next time we visit. First.... Parking. The plaza was packed. We found parking towards rear. The restaurant has valet service. It is a beautiful restaurant. They have a dress code but we did see some patrons dressed casually. I believe you're not allowed to wear shorts or flip flops. The service was ok. We were a party of nine. We received incorrect drink. Had to switch out to non alcoholic for one guest. Another in our party had to wait a while to receive her cocktail. One of our entrees was incorrect and waitress gave it to us free of charge. They did not have fresh coffee, which I found odd since some guests enjoy a cup after dinner. The food was okay. My fave dishes were orange chicken and the crunchy rice appetizer. The portions are meant to be shared. Nice matches and mini fans aválale for guests as you're leaving. Warning - this will be an unpopular opinion. This spot is overrated. Asian dishes? Not really. The asian influence was watered down at best. We ordered a few small plates that were so underwhelming we chose to leave. We started with the bone marrow and brisket dumpling. This fried dumpling was dry and bone marrow was nonexistent. The best part was literally the red chili garnish. Next try salmon crispy rice. Unfortunately room temp sticky rice was not crispy and then topped with an average salmon truffle poke. As a last ditch effort we ordered the tempura oysters ... and that dish has us asking for the check. Room temp fried oyster - tempura was not tempura it was a fry. The oyster was placed on aioli with little flavor and the bacon was nonexistent. Mango garnish is nice but not cohesion in the bite. Last gripe kimchi pickle - tasted like a sweet kimchi sauce out of bottle over a dill pickle. I get everyone loves this place but it is not asian enough despite the decor. We snagged two seats in the covered outdoor bar area. The drinks were pretty, vibe was nice, food was delicious. The food was a separate story... Honestly, I'd heard such great things about this place, so I ended up a bit disappointed. We ordered the tacos (personally the best dish of the night, and that's an appetizer). My friend ordered the Brussels sprouts, which were extremely tough. They replaced the dish, but the second round was even worse -- completely inedible. We also tried the orange chicken with vegetables and fried rice. I'd stick with the rice, although to be honest, I prefer the fried rice from a typical Chinese takeout; this one was quite bland. For dessert, we had the crème brûlée. I have been living in soflo for 4 years and always wanted to go to this restaurant. I had the opportunity to visit for flavors of south Florida and it did not disappoint at all! Everything we had was absolutely delicious, from the dumplings to the ice cream at the end. I wish i was closer (live in Delray) to be able to go every week and try their happy hour. I am not giving it a 5 star because service did not match the quality of the restaurant. Our server was very nice but multiple times we had to ask the hosts to fetch her as we were outside and she was no where near. When we were st the bar, our bartender asked what we wanted and gave the drinks but never checked if we were okay, liked them or anything, but was too entertained with the other two guests which looked like they were friends or coworkers. This would be a place to go on a prom date IMHO rather than a serious dining destination. Booming music, dazzling decorations, smoking key lime pie oh my! Behind that curtain, the food such as Miso cod, appetizer, and rice dishes were very ordinary. May be spoiled having lived in Chicago and DC for many years and experiencing all of the excellent Chinese restaurants there. Visited Blackbird for the first time tonight! Service was great/fast and they were very upfront about the kitchen being busy and plates coming out staggered throughout the meal. They had a separate GF menu which I was able to order from. Portion sizes are huge and honestly fair for the price. Favorite appetizers - Truffle Salmon Crispy Rice - had this modified GF without eel sauce, but was delicious. Would highly recommend. Sooooo much salmon on top I was shocked! Korean Cauliflower - this was not GF so I did not have any, but everyone at the table loved the sauce and texture of the cauliflower! Chicken Lettuce Wraps - this was not GF but everyone who ate them gave them 5/5 because of crisp lettuce and flavoring of the chicken/sauce inside Dish with mixed reviews - Pad Thai - had this modified GF and it was good overall, but the cuts of chicken in this were not as high quality as expected which was a bummer. I really don't like biting into a piece of chicken I cannot chew. Orange Chicken - I didn't have any as it wasn't GF, but there were some conflicting thoughts about the amount of lime used in the dish. Half the table LOVED and half thought it was OK. We ended with the Thai Tea Creme Brûlée modified to be GF and we all agreed it was our favorite dish of the night! Okay so first off, make sure you have a reservation because it's always packed. They do have valet parking which is nice because the parking lot is kinda tiny. For the good part: the food is amazing. The brisket fried rice is the best thing on the menu I think and it's so worth the $24. The spare ribs are great, and the beef and broccoli is a real piece of steak. I'm not a big fan of noodles but the table loved the pad Thai. I would definitely be back, and maybe even for their happy hour upstairs. Jasmine Danielle and Mike were all so lovely and attentive to us The food was amazing we had the "beef jerky" which is more like a Korean bbq beef, tender and amazing. If I lived closer I'd come here on a regular basis. Great ambiance, a commitment to excellent service, good libations and there's plenty of excellent chow on the menu to keep you happy. Find your favorites and you'll do well. For Florida, most of what we had was very good, The happy hour is really good for drink discounts, not much of a deal on the food items they offer, so no compelling reason to stick to the HH menu for food. Wok Charred Edamame really good, Sichuan Smoked Pork Spare Ribs are great. Gabby's Orange Chicken and Bangkok Street Noodles (a little to saucy) are very good. Skip the Won Ton Soup.
