Had dinner here twice last week. I don't write reviews everything i go here because I go so often since the fish is fresh and the preparation is exactly on point. The service is always friendly and attentive. Always enjoy the Florida Keys atmosphere. Yes i have some dishes that I have often but every dish I have tried has been absolutely delicious. Water and a smile was at our table in an instant. Lucia was our servMy very generous martini took less than 5 minutes to appear despite the fact that the Resturant was packed. We ordered the chefs sushi roll. It's unclear as to what we were served, but everything we ate was amazing. We also ordered the crunchy tuna roll.A revelation in cylindrical form. Haven't been to Hogsnapper since they closed their previous location and since was in the area stopped by for a quick snack and pleasantly remembered why I loved this restaurant so much. My memory served correct and the food was as amazing as I recalled. Enjoyed the spicy tunaand cucumber roll and the fish tacos were probably some of the best I have ever tasted. Looks like a popular restaurant, which was recommended by a local friend. The food portion is pretty large. Wish we ordered the fried hogfish, which is a whole fish and looks very good. We ordered a pan fried hogfish, a much smaller piece. The service is good. The restaurant gets full really quickly during the dinner time. Honestly, I'm kind of pissed I've never heard of hog snappers shack before and I can't understand why! We were impressed from beginning to end. We decided to sit at the bar and eat a late lunch/early dinner, and our service was impeccable. Bryce and Kristin were great bartenders ...very friendly , very knowledgeable and made great drinks. Someone else at the bar ordered their cold brew martini and it came with a toasted marshmallow - what a nice touch.! They have a wide range of items on their menu to choose from even a vegan and gluten-free section, with vegan sushi and poke tofu. I was especially impressed though with their amazing fish meal selections. We both went with the catch of the day which came with either coconut rice or saffron rice, and sautéed or stirfry vegetables. I tried the pan seared snapper and my friend tried the hogfish and they were both 10 out of 10.! I was especially impressed with the vegetable selection. They didn't just give you green beans & carrots it was a really yummy medley of spinach, pearl, onions, brussels sprouts, broccoli, etc.... I even requested the chef not use any canola or vegetable oil and they had no issue with my request. I highly recommend getting the hog fish - it's like Chilean Seabass... So buttery and delicious. 05/20/25 We came here after our son's high school graduation since he requested seafood. We started with the hogfish roll and spicy tuna roll. I don't really do sushi, but the hogfish roll was delicious. The spicy tuna roll tasted like cold mush with an unpleasant taste and consistency. My husband and son sort of liked it, but I'm not sure they would order it again. The snapper sandwich was good, but the fries on the side of mine were quite disappointing. I realize the star of the show is the sandwich and not the fries, but most of the fries were very small remnants of fries and seemed like what was left at the bottom of the bag. While the sandwich was tasty, I would have expected slightly better pieces of fries for the price. My husband enjoyed his swordfish sandwich and sweet potato fries and our younger son enjoyed his fish and chips. We finished lunch off with a zert roll which was both interesting and delicious. I would definitely get it again. All in all, we look forward to visiting again, but will stay away from French fries and the spicy tuna roll. read more

This was a really cute place on the inside. It looks so cute and coastal. I could not get over the interior decor. The service was really fast and friendly. We sat down. We had some drinks and then we ordered entrées and appetizers. Everything that we ate was so delicious. We got the calamari to start, and that was the best calamari. I think I've had. It was so well cooked because it was perfectly tender on the inside and crispy on the outside and the sauce that came with it was delicious. Been about two years since my last review just came again and absolutely delicious this time I got the chicken lettuce wraps! Hog snappers is such a Jupiter hidden gem. It's genuinely mostly know to locals and has a very beachy vibe but is by far one of my favorite restaurants. The Crab dip au gratin appetizer dip is absolutely to die for. All their sushi rolls and drinks are also so delicious, such as the s'mores Expresso martini. They are known for their spicy infused tequila, and when I was sitting at the bar once and asked what it was, the bartender was super kind and gave me a complimentary sample! The energy in this place is positive/vibrant with a lot of moving parts. Great service at the tables but the bar is probably a touch better with so much interaction. I usually really enjoy coming here for happy hour, but this visit was very disappointing. We were completely abandoned by our server. After placing our order, she never brought our drinks and never came back to check on us. Our food arrived, and we still hadn't received any water or the beverages we ordered. By the time we finished eating, we still hadn't seen her. Eventually, another server came over and asked if we needed water, and I had to ask her to check on our drinks. At that point, we were already done, so we canceled the drinks and just asked for the check. When we asked what happened, we were told our original server had been cut because it was slow and never communicated our drink order to anyone. Came here for dinner once before and I tried my husband's fish and chips and it was do delicious that we returned for it. We were told it's no longer on the menu. A Florida seafood restaurant that doesn't serve fish and chips? We were disappointed. So we settled on the fish sandwich. It was unappetizing and unappealing. The chiabatta bun was toasted so it was hard and way too thick to hold coleslaw and the fish fillet. It over powered the sandwich and the breaded fish and was too much to bite into. I had to remove the top of the bun. The fillet was overcooked and dry. He French fries were also overcooked as they were dark in color and hard and crunchy. I was given thousand island dressing instead of tartar sauce. It all was tasteless. We left hungry and disappointed. Never again. read more
