From the start, the bartender (Olivia) came across very cold--no smile, no welcoming energy, just going through the motions. Service felt flat the entire time. I specifically asked for very light ice in my drink and even said I didn't care if the glass wasn't full. The drink still came out packed with ice, and I had to ask for a separate cup and spoon to fix it myself--which shouldn't happen. What really stood out was the lack of attention. We were there for about 35 minutes, and not once did she come back to check on us--no "How is everything?" and no offer for another drink. Meanwhile, she spent more time in the back talking with a coworker than actually servicing her customers. There was also confusion when we asked for the check, which just added to the overall disorganization. What's disappointing is that this place used to have a much better vibe--staff like Denise made it feel welcoming and enjoyable. That's clearly changed. There are like three different fish to choose from for the local catch, I believe it was tripletail, snapper and something else. I wasn't impressed by the food or the prices here at all Looking at photos of the menu from just 5 months ago they have recently jacked the prices up. (Even happy hour prices are steep) I saw sushi rolls on the menu for 30$ and around that price The service we got was mediocre nothing crazy to say here server was nice, we got our drinks and our food in a timely manner but there was only 3 other tables so. The bbq on the tacos I don't think was a good idea just a super odd combo and doesn't work , the other fish tacos were just bland and dry they are also hard to eat with the toppings thrown at the bottom and a piece of fish thrown on top The fish nuggets they said were the same fish as the daily catch tacos but it didn't taste the same at all and had smaller flakes, it wasn't the same texture as the other one. They weren't crispy. The coleslaw was the most disappointing part of this experience, I live for a good coleslaw and their coleslaw is just.. cabbage? It has no taste and very bland they said it's for "decoration" why am I paying for coleslaw I don't eat? Especially with FISH that it just ridiculous - as somebody who works in the food industry why are you putting fried food on top of something wet? It makes the fried food soggy. Thats a no brainer I was extremely disappointed about the fish bites they didn't give me any tartar sauce, even though the menu said I get a romulade and a tartar sauce. whatever sauce they gave me was not good it was like spicy mayo added into tartar sauce it wasn't pleasant. I was collaborating an event next-door at beginanew and decided to stop in for a little appetizer and drink beforehand! First of all walking in the atmosphere is quite welcoming and cute! Definitely a nice upscale Florida vibe. Though I went to the bar I also walked around the restaurant in which they have quite some room and a nice outside seating area which certain times of the year obviously are more better than others but nice to know that they have that. Upon walking up to the bar, I was greeted right away by a beautiful woman who was seemingly such a delight! She let me know about their specials of the day, and I chose the daily special drink along with a side of edamame from the starters, and they were both absolutely delicious! We easily could get "hooked" on Hooked On Jupiter. Everything was outstanding. The menu is eclectic and creative. We ordered (and split) one appetizer and one main - and were full. Portions are generous. The Hurricane Tower was exceptional - the mix of sushi rice topped with grilled shrimp, ahi tuna, avocado, wasabi cream cheese, cilantro and more, held together by a wasabi sauce and eel sauce was simply amazing. Our appetizer, Sofie's Coco Crabby Shrimp was rich and flavorful too. Their specialty cocktails were creative and refreshing, especially the Nighty Night - the pomegranate nicely set off the bourbon. I have been to happy hour at the bar in the past but have not had an actual meal. I ordered the lunch special - Crab & Lobster Bisque and 2 shrimp tacos. I liked the bisque, good flavor and consistency. I was disappointed that I could only select 1 type of taco instead of mixing them up to try other types. I omitted the jalapeños. We drove down to Jupiter to meet up with friends at the Dive bar who ended up cancelling last minute. I'm not a fan of the place and started looking on Yelp for a different options near by. I came across this place and instantly knew we had to close out our tab and go there. The pictures of the food blew my mind and I knew we had to make our way over there. We tried the lobster taco, tuna taco and the coconut roll off the happy hour menu. 10 out of 10. The regular menu I honestly wanted everything. We ordered the crabcakes which was phenomenal and definitely a different way of representing the dish. It was sitting on a bed of coleslaw. Which sounds strange to me and I'm not much of a coleslaw fan, but this definitely worked. According to the bartender, they've only been open for a year and I guess the word hasn't gotten around that this place needs to be checked out as soon as possible. We ordered some happy hour drinks but ended up venturing onto the regular price drinks. I saw the nighty night drink. That needs to be ordered immediately if you like bourbon. My husband loves his old fashions, and he also ordered one of those which again was phenomenal. I'm taking photos of the recipes of these drinks, so I know what alcohol brand they use. An overall positive experience although the service can be improved. Received a lackluster greeting when entering and briskly led to our table. My party couldn't keep up with how fast the person was walking and she sort of just pointed to the table. Our waitress was very pleasant but perhaps had too many tables. The menu is very creative and the food is perfectly executed, my only reasoning for not giving a 5 star, is the confusion and variety of the happy hour. My husband ordered the blackened tuna taco on the happy hour menu, he loved it and said he would definitely get it again, they "didn't skimp either." Sadly the other happy hour bites did not appeal to my daughter and I, so we branched out and tried the tlc guacamole, it was very good and a huge portion, I especially loved the chips! We also tried their calamari which was also very good and very fresh and served with tartar sauce which is my fav! 20% off sushi on the happy hour menu was confusing because it was not 20% off the entire raw section of the menu, only the dogs and towers, and I couldn't grasp spending $34 for a sushi bowl my 9 year old might not like. The drink section for happy hour also didn't appeal to me, but I'm also a picky drinker. I did have the $10 drink of the day, which was a lychee margarita, which was enjoyable, but definitely not the best tequila. At the end of the day $100 for 2 drinks, 2 beers, 2 apps and a taco is fair to high, if I loved everything I'd be ok with it. I will definitely go back to try more food! The inside is like a modern coastal surf style pub, there's both tables and booths. The ceiling at night has little twinkle lights above that add to a great atmosphere. When we went there was live music and it wasn't too loud so you can still hear yourself talk. Service was great no complaints and the food was excellent with large portions. Talk about an island taste and Spanish twist! The triple tail was very flaky and flavorful. The flavors did not stop here though. Oh no..... For dessert I shared with my husband a wonderful "Jazz's Tropical Island" rum cake" which is an original recipe from the pastry chef, Jazz. Magnificent!!
