Food was way overpriced...server was very friendly....and food was not that good...in fact I had stomach issues all night after eating the chicken enchiladas and don't feel well this am...I cannot believe they had the nerve to charge us for chips and salsa as well....we are going back to our favorite Mexican called La Bambas and never going back here again...nor would we ever recommend this restaurant?... read more

This restaurant is in a strip mall. When you first walk in I thought it only had a couple of tables but it has another section. It looks like it has been there awhile. The server asked if we wanted an appetizer and we said no. We ordered are food. When the food arrived we thought they didn't serve chips and salsa, no biggie. The food seemed to not have much seasonings. The burrito I ordered everything was inside including the lettuce, tomatoes, rice and beans. I asked if it came with rice and beans and the server said yes. I guess next time I will ask does rice and beans come as a side. read more

7 of us a couple days before Thanksgiving pop on in and grab a large table (I say large....for this restaurant, that was a large table)... The place was seasonably decorated with lights all over. It looked fun. Our server was nice, got all our drinks and we ordered some apps immediately, we were so hungry - so we got nachos and it was a decently large pile full of all the good stuff! We all ordered our entrees...I was torn between the wet and the dry burrito. I got the dry AL PASTOR and it was kinda dry. IN the future, if I'm back, I would opt for the wet burrito. Food was a bit overpriced. $18 for a small chimichanga. Horchata tasted like it was from a mix and the asada on my tacos tasted unseasoned. Also I have never seen beans and rice put together in the same bowl like they did here. That was irritating as I have some kids who either only like beans or only like rice. There also was no complimentary chips and salsa which is pretty standard for Mexican restaurants. We're from California so maybe our expectations for authentic Hispanic food are too high. Also did not tell us there was a credit card fee before we processed payment. Would not visit again. read more

After seeing some really bad reviews, felt the need to chime in. We live down the road and have been coming here since 2017. Really authentic, home style Mexican food. Food and service have been consistently good. We lived in both Northern and Southern California and know good Mexican food. This is good Mexican food that competes with anything we've had in California. Photo of yesterday's burrito attached. It was perfect. The Chicken Tortilla soup is also exceptional. The restaurant is located in a little plaza and doesn't look like much, but the food is good. The service is good too. We usually get the chimichanga and it's something we crave. The burrito bowl was really good, but a little cold. The queso blanco is great and a large portion. The quesadilla is my daughters favorite. read more

I've been to Guac's many times when my son was at spring training. I'm from South Texas and know my mexican food. Not hispanic. I was SHOCKED how good it was. going to FL was just looking for good fresh seafood and had plenty but this place was right up the street from where I was staying. Super friendly staff, service and food. Sent them a letter with some of my double secret recipes (kinda hard because I don't follow recipes), just 'wing it' but haven't been there in 4 years. It's a rather small place, always sat at the bar. the mexican food around where I live has gotten substandard & ridiculously overpriced. I'd rather go to Guac's. read more

Fresh, fresh, fresh. The margaritas are delish. The pick de gallo is fresh, fresh, fresh. We ordered takeout. Ceviche - chock full of shrimp. The hubs ordered fish fajitas. Great tasting fish, onions & peppers served with tortillas, rice, beans, pico & guacamole. My entree was a chili replenished & two chicken enchiladas. Also served with rice & beans. we usually get shrimp tacos on taco Tuesday. My husband went in and ordered three for me. He doesn't care for the restaurant . On the website it still says that on taco Tuesday shrimp tacos are included. They charged him full price anyway, even though he asked them about it. to add insult to injury, the tacos are swimming in the liquid and I can't even pick them up , they have turned into soup I only ate one. The Guacamole is on the verge of spoiling, and the shrimp were spongy and mealy. I've been frequenting this restaurant for years, but I'm done with them. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. Overpriced and horrible service. I came in specifically to avoid takeout, as I often do. I ordered and was charged extra for fish tacos as opposed to hormone fed beef poison....fine. Much to my horror, a plastic bag with three Styrofoam containers was placed in front of me - the waiter told me this was a takeout restaurant... Meanwhile they were people eating in . WTF. I will never return to this place. I should have taken the clue from the signage - this is a Mexican Restaurant that is listed as DBA Italian Feast. Just another Styrofoam palace that doesn't give a damn about the planet or a customer. These people even charge you for "complimentary" chips and Salsa! NEVER AGAIN! read more

I've always liked Guacamole's and their food has always been really good. But their fish taco is terrible. On my last visit, it was small broken pieces of fish as if it fell apart when they were cooking it, plopped into a tortilla with lettuce tomato, and a big glob of guacamole on it. My guess is the fish is tilapia but there was no way to even taste the minced fish pieces! It might be the worst fish taco I've ever had in my life. What happened? I guess I'll stick with my Al pastor tacos and their two homemade sauces are excellent. No more fish tacos for me at Guacamole's! read more

I've been eating here for many, many years...since it was a small takeout restaurant with a few tables inside. I occasionally see the owner...super nice guy and passionate business owner. This is reflected in the great consistent food and great service. Margarita's I believe are made with Agave Wine and are better than most other Mexican restaurants in the area that use tequila. read more

What was okay - The only thing decent about this place is the guacamole. What was no bueno - Even so, it was bland but at least it was fresh. I got the chicken enchiladas which tasted like it had been made 3 to 4 days before they served it. They also charge you for water. The service was bad, I wouldn't say it was terrible but yes it was pretty bad. Our waitress did not have experience waiting tables. We finally put our order in after about 45 minutes given that there we two waitresses for about 11+ tables. We thought our waitress understood our order. When we finally got our entrees they were all in the wrong place. Last but not least the margaritas were watered down. It tasted like they were using table salt, margarita mix and nothing fresh. All in all - This place is disappointing for four out of five stars on yelp. The bar must be pretty low for Mexican food around Palm Beach. I would recommend making your own Mexican food versus coming here. We've come to Palm Beach for three out of the last four years and we've come to Guacamoles twice. Clean restaurant with good Mexican food. You do have to pay for chips and salsa $6!!!! (deducted a star for that) The chips are freshly fried corn tortillas so they are thick and warm. We started with the white queso with chorizo. Dip tasted like velveeta white cheese. I prefer melted white American cheese like a lot of restaurants serve. I had the carne asada and two enchiladas. Steak was well seasoned and not dry or fatty. The enchiladas were small with white cheese in the middle and topped with green sauce. The refried beans are served soupy and topped with cojita cheese. Service was fast and friendly. Restaurant has about 20 tables. There is one small table outside. You can get horchata and Mexican drinks. The bar looked like it had no liquor...only beer and wine. There are about 10 seats at the bar. Food is pricier than other nearby Mexican restaurants, but the quality is good. There is an attached parking lot with free parking. read more
