Josh is a very straightforward, honest guy with a long running family business; an excellent trouble shooter; and his price cannot be beaten for the value. We hired Josh (Jim's Air Systems) to remove and reinstall our solar system for roof work, with his written and verbal guarantee that he would return to walk us through how to operate it properly. That was five months ago. Once payment was made, he vanished. Despite repeated calls and texts over this entire period, he has never once responded. This is not just poor service -- it's a complete abandonment of the customer after being paid in full. Reliability, accountability, and basic professionalism were entirely absent in our experience. Josh was wonderful from start to finish! I contacted him for an appointment for an estimate for a new HVAC system for our condo and he came the same day. He was extremely knowledgeable about our unique hydronic heating system which is not as popular. But he gave us all of our options in terms of repair, partial replacement, and full replacement. He was the only company we met with who did not try to sell us a full system right off the bat.. he really listened! We did opt for a full system replacement and we could not be happier! Josh and crew were great. I had done some research on ductless mini-split AC units for my garage and received a mixed bag of responses from various vendors. Josh immediately knew what I was talking about, quickly assessed what we'd need and gave me a very reasonable quote. The only person who reached out to me was Josh. At the time, money was tight and I couldn't afford the cost. Jim from Jim's Air Systems was great to work with. Called Jim after we had one of the big A/C companies do a pre-season "service check" on our HVAC system. After the "service check" the tech said we had some issues on our 13 year-old system and it should be replaced, this would be to the tune of $12000.00, or, we could make repairs that would be roughly the same cost. Called Jim and he came out and looked at the system, made some repairs and replaced a part. A/C is working again just fine and we were charged a very fair price, Jim saved us over $11,000. Jim explained everything he did and we couldn't be happier, we will not call anyone else for any future HVAC needs. Our air conditioner has been working ... ish ... only if we put stop-leak in it yearly, a process that is not at all economical. We obtained a few estimates for AC replacement from reputable companies with 5 - star YELP ratings, but the prices were prohibitive and we just felt that we could do better. A friend recommended Jim's Air Systems and put me in touch with the owner (who is Josh, not Jim ... probably inherited the company). Josh was exceptionally thorough just explaining our options on the phone, before we'd even met. He is clearly a subject-matter expert. He prepared us for the worst, but his worst case scenario was significantly less expensive than the competition's, When it came time to get the job done, within a few minutes of looking at our system, he told us that we were in luck - the coil was fine. Best case scenario, yay! He did need to replace the A/C unit, but we expected that. He and his colleague went over everything in the system with a fine-toothed comb, carefully cleaned up after themselves, and then took the time to show us a few features of our existing HVAC system that we didn't even know about. I wholeheartedly recommend Jim's Air Systems for their friendly and helpful service, their expertise, their competitive prices, and (what I consider the most important thing) their honesty. Best service! Our air conditioner fizzled out during the scorching heat wave. We called many have companies and most didn't even return calls. Of course they're busy during the heat wave, And a few gave astronomical estimates that had us in shock! We received a rave referral from a friend so we called Jim's Air. I cannot give Jim's Air Service a positive review for several reasons. I had an air conditioner and new duct work installed in 2017. The installation of the air conditioner was poor. The unit was not sealed completely in two areas, the refrigerant line was in the dirt in one location, the insulation was torn during installation and the compressor starts and stops loudly. The only item fixed was the refrigerant line after I informed them of all the issues. Had I not gone under the house to inspect their work, I doubt it would have been fixed. I asked him to come back and make sure the compressor was operating properly, but he never had the time. Poor customer service and workmanship is too common now. read more

I have worked with Josh and Jim's Air Systems for about a year now. They installed a new heater and AC along with some duct work and the level of service, the price, timeliness, and cleanliness have been above and beyond what I was expecting. I have had a couple of issues with dampers in the duct work and some air flow issues since the install but Josh/Scott have been absolutely wonderful in accommodating me and dealing with the issues in a very timely manner. Especially during the hottest days of the summer when they are swamped with service calls, cooling/heating emergencies, etc. Josh/Scott have even taken them time to explain and visually show/teach me how things work so I have a better understanding as to how the units work and so that I can troubleshoot the issues myself should I choose to. That has been very much appreciated. If I can solve the issue myself during a heat wave and not have to wait for a technician to come out, I will do that! While I was mostly happy with the original install 2 years ago of a new heating and AC system (there were some issues, but the overall price was good enough to overlook them), I was disappointed when I called a couple weeks ago to try and get some follow-up service since the furnace seemed to have died. Left a couple of phone messages on his cell and an email through his website. No response. Even if he didn't want to come out again at this point, a phone call or email would have been nice. Very disappointed at this point. Update: should have put this up a long time ago... anyway, after I posted this review, they contacted me and said I must be "mistaken" with the name of the company, that there are lots of "Jim" AC companies and I must have tagged the wrong one. I verified with them that the name of the owner matched who I wrote the certified checks to... and never heard back from them again. After being soaked for $143.00 from another local company to tell me my Furnace and Air were old and not working (duh, that 's why I called it is 30 years old!) and providing no solution or bid after 2 days, I called Josh from Jim's Air Systems. Josh was always quick to respond to my texts and calls, explaining different systems and their energy efficiency, as well as financing options available through the county. We agreed on the best unit for my size home and his crew was there the next day! The two guys were extremely professional and personable, ensuring their work was done to perfection!
